Very convenient and very nice.

We had the best stay! The house is about 1/2 hour from Dartmouth and was the perfect spot to enjoy the week of graduation festivities while having a true home base. The hosts are amazing. Everything was really lovely.

This property was perfect for myself and my daughter (22) and twin boys (15). Super cozy with plenty of throw blankets and pillows and the kitchen was better equipped than my kitchen at home. We loved being greeted by the “neigh-bor” Nakita every morning and had so much fun feeding her carrots. The setting was gorgeous and convenient to groceries and the town. There were plenty of games, puzzles and books for rainy days. We even found umbrellas to use! Kat has really thought of everything.
Bedrooms and bathrooms were large and the beds were very comfy. The only slight disappointment was that I thought we’d be able to walk/bike to town. While I guess that’s technically possible, the house is on a pretty steep hill and the road is dark and narrow. But the drive was super easy and the town had plenty of parking, even on the weekend. I would absolutely recommend this house to couples, families or friend groups!!

We’ve stayed in Woodstock a few times before finding this place. My husband and I chose this house because of the location being close to Woodstock. We also used it as a home base to look for covered bridges during “leaf peeping season.” Although it was leaf peeping season and Woodstock was hopping with tourists we didn’t feel it. This house was just outside of the town. This house was the best location with very well stocked accommodations for my husband and myself. We felt like we were in a rural location. It was very cozy! We’d love to live there! We’ve already made reservations for next year.
We met Kat who is very kind, personable, attentive and a text away for any communication needs.
We purchased carrots for Nakita (their sweet horse) who patiently waited for her next treat, each day(more than once) She even neighed a “hello”when she saw us.
It felt like our home away from home!
Thanks Kat! See you next year!

Overall we were pleased with our stay. A few minor suggestions we are communicating to the owners. Close to trails, farmers market and great amenities (bikes, games, etc)

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house was immaculate, functional, and so comfortable. The outdoor space is lush and we used the outdoor soaking tub every day. Thank you for the perfect landing spot during our stay in Woodstock!

This is our second stay at this lovely place. We’ve been to many VRBOs and have never stayed at one so well stocked/equipped! Kat has thought of all of the comforts one would want and then some. The house is clean , cheerfully decorated , and located in a quiet area.
A family would find skiing, hiking, snow shoeing,, and enjoying nature nearby. The town of Woodstock is quaint with nice shops.
Kat is a great host and quick to answer questions or solve any issue. We had no problems whatsoever!
We would stay here during any season! Superb home!

We very much enjoyed staying in this home. The property is just minutes from Woodstock, but it feels like it is miles away. The yard is big with beautiful views of the hillsides and the horses. It feels very isolated (in the best possible way!). The layout of the house (den plus study) gives everyone their space. The owners were organized and easy. They provide plenty of instructions, suggestions, and maps of the area. We are already planning our return visit.

The kitchen was the best equipped of any house we have rented.
The home was exceptionally clean. the setting was peaceful and relaxing. The hostess was extremely accommodating.
The furniture in the living room could be updated, had a few spring issues, but that was minor. We were out most of the days .

Perfect Location
Ideal location for visiting Vermont and the town of Woodstock. Lovely home with beautiful horses as neighbors. The kids enjoyed visiting with the horses daily. We enjoyed making fires and the hot tub. Star gazing and relaxing in the evenings was a highlight. Kat was very accommodating and responsive.

I can’t overstate how perfect this rental is. The house is quintessential VT. The location is close to town. And the hosts, Kat and Matt, are warm, welcoming and incredibly helpful but they give you as much space as you want. We’ll definitely stay there anytime we are in town.

5 stars is not enough for this house. The quaintness, the scenery and the cleanliness were above expectations. Communication was above and beyond also and us to feel very comfortable.. it turned unseasonably hot and the air conditioners were put in upon our request. Definitely recommend and if we come back to Vermont would stay here again.

A Vermont Gem
We recently enjoyed a four night vacation at this property with another couple and can highly recommend it.
Woodstock in winter is like a scene from a postcard - a picture perfect, walkable downtown with interesting shops, a lovely common, and lights everywhere. Many winter activities are within close proximity including skiing at Killington, Pico, and Suicide Six ski resorts, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. We were there midweek and found only a few open restaurants, but the Killington area had a lot more choices and was only 25 minutes away.
The best word to describe the house is “cozy.” It’s obvious that the hosts spent a lot of time choosing furniture and decor. The couches and chairs are comfortable and inviting. The bedrooms are well appointed with quality furnishings and linens. Bathrooms are modern and clean. The kitchen is complete and well stocked with every appliance and utensil we needed.
The hot tub was one of our favorite surprises. It is effectively a large cedar barrel filled with very warm water and a wood-fired heating system that keeps the water toasty. We felt it was very clean and much more comfortable than modern plastic hot tubs with their smelly chemicals, noisy pumps, and plastic seats. Our evening soaks were truly the highlights of our trip and a feast for the senses: the smell of the cedar wood and smoke from the nearby fire, the absolute quiet and stillness of the air, the sound of owls and coyotes in the distance, and the dark shadows of the host’s horses meandering along the nearby fence. Sitting there under the stars with our dearest friends, talking about our memories from the day and past adventures with them was a wonderful bonding experience we won’t soon forget.
Kat and Matt were friendly and attentive hosts and made us feel very welcome. Kat and I were in touch occasionally before our trip and several times during our stay via text. Although there was very little we needed, Kat made it very clear she was there to help or offer suggestions at any time. At one point we accidentally pulled the drain plug in the hot tub and drained a fair amount of water. The next day Matt refilled it and lit an extra fire in the heating system to get it up to temperature before that night’s planned soak.
We’ve stayed several times at rental homes in years past. This property was our favorite, hands down, and that’s in large part due to the attentiveness and consideration of our hosts.

We had a great time in this home. Great place for a family! Had everything we needed.
My husband had a strole 12 years ago so having everthing on one level made it easier for him. A railling or grab bar for entry door would be helpful though. Thanks for having us!

Quintessential Vermont
While we had initially booked Kat's property because of it's proximity to Killington, we fell in love with her horses next door and dog who made frequent visits! We loved having the hot tub and made use of both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces as well as the grill! We couldn't have picked a better getaway!

We were fortunate to spend several weeks at this property! It was a great experience! It was perfectly stocked and had many well thought out details to make it easy for it to become our home for an extended stay. It’s very accessible to downtown Woodstock and yet also remote with lots of space for the kids to run around and enjoy the outdoor space at the property itself. We enjoyed many outdoor winter activities! The owner was easy to work with and responsive. We very much hope to stay again!

Peaceful getaway
House is as cozy and inviting as pictured! Everything was very clean upon arrival and well appointed with everything we needed. The yard was a peaceful oasis—surrounded by fruit trees and open fields (complete with two sweet horses!). The property is well situated with easy access to everything in town while still feeling quiet and away from it all. Kat was a perfect host—very responsive and helpful.

Everything we hoped for and more
We stayed at the property last weekend for a ladies get away and to celebrate our milestone 50th birthdays. What a wonderful experience and location. Matt & Kat were so amazing and a pleasure to deal with. Great communication while booking and the information given leading up to our trip. It was so nice and comforting to know they were close by when we needed help and to answer any questions, The house was perfect for the 6 of us. Very spacious, very clean and the location was beautiful. Tranquil private setting yet so close to everything we had planned to do. It was so lovely to be washing dishes and able to look out at the horses and scenery in the back yard. We definitely will be returning and hope to make this an annual trip. Thank you Kat & Matt!

Everything we wanted!
The Dana Road house was our home base for a three week stay while visiting our family in Woodstock. It was absolutely perfect for our family of 5. The house was clean, well furnished, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook lots of family meals and the bathroom amenities were on point. We enjoyed playing in the spacious yard (especially during the random thunder storms), the outdoor fireplace, and the soaking tub. Location is excellent! Communication with Kat was always a breeze - she is darling and attentive. We plan to return to Vermont for many summers to come and would love for the Dana Road house to be our "home away from home".

Perfect Vermont Retreat
Our family enjoyed a fabulous vacation in Woodstock at this property. The home was well appointed and exactly as it was described VRBO. We especially enjoyed the patio, size of the rooms and comfortable furniture. Our daughter was showing at GMHA and the house was conveniently located. Loved everything about this property, especially the owners horses who greeted us in the morning. We look forward to returning soon!

Idyllic Vermont Retreat
Right from the start, we felt welcomed, relaxed and comfortable. Kat was there to meet and greet us — and had the hot tub ready! [We drove from Cleveland and were absolutely looking for a soaking reprieve.]
This home and property are simply perfect. Everything you might need is provided — and wonderfully so. Truly. We felt like royalty.
We were in Vermont for a family reunion near Norwich. My son wanted to reconnect with a retired professor from Marlboro College and Morrisville friends came to visit us. The location served us well.
Worthy Kitchen — with Prosecco on tap! Long Trail Brewing — with a beautiful riverside setting that found patrons wading in the water whilst awaiting their seating. Billings Farm & Museum proved to be very interesting (and if you’re fond of the horses on Kat’s property, then you’ll likely fall for the playful, young calves). Nearby Eshqua Bog was beautiful. And an afternoon bike ride rounded out our fun.
Despite decades in NE Ohio, I continue to call Vermont “home”. Kat’s Dana Rd property simply underscored that sentiment. It was a great five days. If you’re considering this home for a vacation rental, you’ll not be disappointed!

Most Relaxing Weekend EVER!
Cozy doesn't describe it. From the minute we opened the door we felt pampered which is just what we needed for our Mom's escape. Toasty warm, comfortable couches and beds, warm blankets, well stocked kitchen, a hot tub and friendly horses. To be honest, we were so cozy that we found it hard to go out to do things. Our new saying is, "We want more Dana Road."

Great location, all the comforts of home
This lovely home was perfect for a family of 6. Mt Killington is half an hour away and the Woodstock Touring Center is less than 10 minutes. We enjoyed family meals in the morning and evening and relaxed in the hot tub at the end of the day. Our thanks to Kat and Matt.

Awesome house. Awesome location.
The house is in mint condition. Facilities, kitchen, and outdoors. Location is awesome. Woodstock area offers diverse experience - restaurants and assorted stores. Ping pong table in basement allows for great family competitions and fun. Driving to Killington is super fast and convenient.

It was quite lovely. Well maintained and stocked with everything you need to live for a week or longer. The atmosphere was serene and close to so many attractions of the area. I highly recommend this home. We will definitely book again when we return.

Cozy and Comfortable - A Perfect Vermont Getaway
This is a lovely place, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, making cooking easy, and there's a nice space for dining in. The location is great, with Woodstock center a very short drive away and lots to do in the surrounding area. While we didn't take advantage of it, they even had snowshoes and other outdoor equipment to enjoy for every season. Kat was easy to work with and very informative; there if you needed anything, but your privacy was respected. A perfect place for a great Vermont getaway.
