We stayed here with our family of six and had a great time. The house was perfect for us with plenty of room. The proximity to lake and overall location on the lake and to town were also perfect.

Our stay at the Hideaway was delightful. The location is wonderful and close to Seneca. The description and the pictures are accurate and the kitchen was stocked with the necessities for cooking.

Loved every bit of this property. Kids had the best time ever. Everything you could want in a lake house!

Our family stayed at the property for about 2 weeks. Location and the Lake access is amazing! Our kids went swimming daily off the dock, we did smores at the firepit at night, grilled out, etc. To be super transparent, it is a modular type home and there are no frills, but we did not need that. We wanted a clean, nice home, that our family could stay and enjoy the lake.

We stayed here for Clemson graduation and wish we found this place sooner

Close to Clemson but add extra time for event weekends.

I waited several days to compose this review to gather my thoughts in a constructive manner (we too are ST rental hosts). We were in the Seneca area visiting my son for Clemson game day weekend. The pros: Pretty lakefront location, a nice big dock, and the home is decorated nicely as in the listing photos. The cons: There was no working drip coffee maker or water kettle. I reached out to ask about it and no response. Property thin on amenities bath and kitchen. The bedroom linens and towels are in dire need of replacement unless you are expecting 1-star or 2-star quality. There are no proper blankets or comforters on the beds or as extra. This is a manufactured home for those who care. The water pressure is low and hot water runs out quickly after 2-3 people shower. There were 5 guests in total. The mattresses were squishy and not very firm. The worst part is there is a roach infestation both alive and dead. It did appear that the manager/owner checked or did a walk-through prior to our arrival. There was 'sticky' paper in the queen bedroom closet full of dead roaches. We took a photo of it as proof. We made sure to shake out our belongings when we packed up. Suffice it to say this was our worst ST vacation rental experience to date.

We had a great time. House was as described and very comfy. Met the lake neighbors while swimming and they were nice as well. Saw some deer early in the morning. My boys had a great time kayaking and swimming. Property was clean and window view and back-porch view was amazing.

We had a great time at the Hideaway. The house was clean and had ample room for our family of 8. It was stocked well with kitchen ware and essentials. The dock was nice and our grandchildren had a great time fishing. It would be perfect if there was a screened deck, but I highly recommend it to others. It is close to a Dollar General and Seneca for food or supplies.

Listing was spot on with actual property. House was clean and had everything we needed. House was on a quiet cove of the lake which we loved. Plenty of space for our whole family. Enjoyed hikes in Oconee and Sumter. And beers at Keowee Brewing. Wi-Fi worked well. Good communication with owners. We had a really great stay!

We stayed for the Thanksgiving holiday and food prep was tough with the limited kitchen supplies. Overall house was clean but some details had to be addressed. Lake view and dock were terrific. Plenty of sleeping room for the family.

The house was spacious and was a nice layout! We enjoyed swimming by the dock and using the kayaks/paddle board! We had three cars and a pontoon we pulled up there and parking with the pontoon was pretty easy. The covered floating dock made using the pontoon during our stay a breeze, especially when it rained. The only small complaint I have is there were bugs in the house but that’s to be expected being on a lake. We would definitely stay here again!

This place was better than advertised! Beautiful location double covered dock and easy access to marinas for fuel. Completely redone inside and everything you need to cook, relax and enjoy the beautiful water.
We have vacationed on lake keowee for many summers and this has been by far one of our favorites.

Heaven on earth in SC
We love, love, love this house! It's warm, inviting and very comfortable. We've stayed here 3 vacations in a row. We've tried for long weekends throughout the year, but it's been booked on those occasions. The house is amazing and so is Lake Keowee.

Easy and relaxing
The lake house was clean and simply beautiful. We were able to have extended family over for an impromptu cook out and had what we needed. Members of my extended family that live in the area were thrilled that the property allowed for folks to easily walk down to the water. A great low-key house.

The Hideaway--- Awesome Lake Keowee House
We had a great time at The Hideaway. House and surroundings exactly as seen in pictures. Loved open space in the house, well stocked kitchen, lots of room on the wrap around couch, with 4 recliners. Nice double dock--brought our boat and rented a pontoon from nearby Lake Keowee Marina. Great place to stay--nice flat lot, easy walk to dock, kayaks to use, plenty of parking. Would definitely stay here again.

Keowee Fest #16
This property was excellent for seeing all 4 kids and their families. Due to COVID, and not knowing what the summer would allow, we decided on 2 kids and their families coming for the first week and the other two kids and their families coming for the second week. The accommodations were perfect. There was plenty of dining space, the walk from the house to the lake was short and almost flat. Outside, we had a dining area with an umbrella table, a gas fire pit on the lower deck, and a wood fits pit in the yard…perfect for S’Mores! We had our boat, 2 jet skis, and float toys and pull toys to keep the kids busy all day. Gary and Melissa, the owners, were quick to answer any questions. And, located at the end of the road, there was NO car traffic!

What a nice way to spend a week with our adult children. Plenty of space to hang together and plenty of areas to be alone. Easy for day trips and wonderful for lazy days on the dock.

Perfect lake house
What a PERFECT stay at the lake. Living room view is amazing. All the amenities you need in the kitchen. Kayaks were so fun to use and to get out on the lake. We brought the chairs down on the lawn and enjoyed the sun by the water all day. We really liked how quiet and peaceful it was. Being on the cove meant no loud boats or cars from highway. Stay here - you won't regret it!

Lovely Property
My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The lake view was beautiful, and it is quiet - which means kids might be bored in the winter. However we were all adults so it was exactly what we were looking for. All the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked - pots and pans, utensils, spices, tin foil, knives (might want to bring your own if you’re picky), etc. The house heated quickly and maintained temperature. Plenty of room and turnaround spots in the driveway. Lots of channels on the TV. Gary & Melissa quickly responded to all messages, and even provided a Christmas tree! We would definitely come back again.

The Hideaway in November
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Hideaway.. it was quiet, peaceful, and had everything our family needed! Online photos and descriptions were accurate and the owners were great at responding to any questions we had. We enjoyed hiking nearby trails (within 20-30 minute drive from the property), fishing from the dock, kayaking on the lake, and sitting around the fire pit while watching the gorgeous sunsets.
