Great location, great house! Yes it would be nice if the baths and kitchen were updated, but the layout, outdoor space, and incredible views will make up for it.

We loved staying at the house. The view was gorgeous, the pool was a big plus. The house has everything you need and the driveway was steep but not a big deal. It was quiet and a relaxing place to stay.

Beautiful house and see why the owners have called it Blue Horizon, what a view. Close to all our friends and activities in the East End of the island. Our small dog loved the view also.

Overall the the home was clean and the pictures we fairy accurate. Location was good close to Ziggy’s and Castaway’s. The primary bedroom AC was weak, and the portable unit with the plastic on the window wasn’t effective. The pool was nice, and maintained well. The view was spectacular!! Having coffee in the morning on the deck was very nice! We enjoyed our short stay!

Erik and Garfield were excellent!

We arrived and unpacked and swam for five days we explored the island got groceries. Everything in the house was conducive to cooking at home. We did eat in some excellent restaurants the home was clean it was nice to have a washer and dryer. It does take a bit for the AC to cool off the home but eventually it does. Beautiful view, safe neighborhood. The driveway going straight up the hill was not terrible in the SUV. No problems with the Internet or the electricity or any water problems. Everything was perfect. We will definitely be coming back as often as we possibly can book it.

Had a great time staying at this villa. The pool was perfect after a day of sight seeing or just floating and looking up at the stars. Plenty of hot water, everything you need for a great stay. Will be back.

This property will blow you away from the killer views of Buck Island to the fabulous pool to the cumffy couch and flat screen tv to the huge kitchen to the big bedroom!
Don’t be surprised if you cancel all your planned activities and decide to lounge around all day because this place is made for it BIG TIME!

This house was perfect. It had everything we need and we really loved the view and the pool. The only problem was we didn’t want to leave to explore the island because the house was so great! It’s in a great location and has everything you need. Recommend staying here. It’s very close to Ziggys and we enjoyed dinner there one night, which is quite the experience. Thank you!

I enjoyed the home but it needs some tlc. The main reason I booked the home was for the view and pool but i was disappointed with the multiple issues with the pool filter and timer. The water for the house would turn off on a daily basis, multiple times actually. We figured out how to turn it back on so we didn't have to ask Garfield to come to the home. The beds are not memory foam as host stated and have springs and are dirty when the sheets are off. Another issue was renting a home that clearly says 3 bedroom but i only had access to 2 rooms because it was only 2 people on my reservation. The rooms have keypads and must have a code to access. I wish the host would state that based on how many guest you add on your reservation would be how many rooms you have access to. I had a big event and I was suppose to have everyone get ready at this home so we can leave together and had to change plans. A next thing to add is that one day I left to get some breakfast and left my 2 cousins at the house and the person that looks after the house took the liberty to go into the home without permission. I'm glad I wasn't there because it wouldn't have been nice. When my cousin called scared, I told him give Garfield the phone and said he needed to bleed the pump and that is why he had to come in the house since there was water being delivered. The pumps are located under the home so I know that wasn't true and just wanted to snoop around the house. There is no reason why someone should be coming to the home constantly without a heads up. I will definitely not book this home ever again or recommend. I'm a private person and expect nothing but privacy but I didn't receive that during my stay. I paid a lot of money and it definitely was not worth iI.

Amazing View of Buck Island!
We had a lovely stay at this Cotton Valley villa. It had ample supplies, from beach gear to kitchen gadgets and the view from almost every room was spectacular. We spent many afternoons watching sailboats go to and from Buck Island while having a dip in the pool . We will definitely stay again!

The Best of St. Croix
Blue Horizon lives up to its description. The views are breathtaking. The rooms are comfortable and the kitchen is suitable for snacks or entire meals. Appliances are good. Nice new gas grill with extra tanks. The washer and dryer came in handy for my month long stay. there are three different potential dining areas. The driveway is steep! be prepared.

A nice house with a million dollar view. It was close to where we needed to be to check on our property and close enough to town.

Horrible and Depressing
My overall experience was disappointing, lackluster and just depressing. To start the directions were not accurate. We got to the home at night. We finally found it with the help of a nice neighbor. The development does not have street lights so it was a bit confusing. Also, the road to the house has big…craters..not potholes. These things can do damage to your vehicle. Drive very slowly and carefully. The driveway to the house is very steep and a bit scary. Also, there’s aloe plants hanging over the side that can potentially hit your vehicle as you drive up. We parked up, walked up the stairs and entered the house code. Once we entered the house we were hit by the smell of “FISH”! Also, we noted cleaning equipment left at the front door and plant pot with standing water, that just looked disgusting. The kitchen area smelled horrible. We had to wipe it down and spray air freshener. There were half empty rum bottles on the counter. Also, leftover unopened beer cans and some condiments in the fridge. Maybe from previous guest stay. Who knows how long those things have been there?! I’m not sure why these things were left but if it’s a courtesy then I would think a fresh or unopened/unused products would of been more pleasing. The furnishings and decor is so dated, old and ugly. The living and dining room furniture were stained and held an odor…from years of use. The bedroom furniture were also lacking and uncomfortable. Especially if your a tall person, you’ll have trouble. The bed mattress were so hard it felt no different from sleeping on the floor. The pillows…if you call them that were flat and weirdly shaped. One evening, in the master bedroom I saw a roach crawling on the AC remote..I only saw the one but if there’s one…maybe there’s more. The bathrooms need a remodel desperately. The toilets were so ugly and gross. The towels and wash clothes were old and rough. At some point household fixtures/furnishings outlive there usefulness! The AC units were working but you could tell that they needed cleaning or just new ac units, period. There’s no blinds or curtains in the living room, but there’s some blinds in the bedroom. This is creepy and no privacy. And throughout our stay we can hear the thud against the glass of birds flying into the glass. And in 2021…there’s one sad small TV in the living room. Only one in the entire house! This tv is so old it couldn’t keep up with graphics of the new movies. Basically, your paying for the view, that’s it!

Great view with everything you need
When locating the property use the map on VRBO or ask the property owner to drop you a pin. The address will not get you to the property (at least not on an IPhone map). Not knowing that it took us a minute to find it but once we did everything was good from there. It’s an older home that hasn’t been updated much, but I didn’t go there to see fancy counter tops. We had everything we needed. Views from the deck /pool were amazing.
This has nothing to do with the house, but if you go to the tidal pools please be careful. I would recommend not going past the first pool, and absolutely do not venture out onto the outer rocks.

Perfect for our family
House was clean and had plenty of room for my family of 6. The view is beautiful and the pool set up was perfect. It’s also close to many “less crowded” beaches! We would definitely stay here again!

Killer view, nice east end location
Central location close to Christiansted and restaurants. Nice kitchen with spices and some condiments in cupboards. Enjoyable dipping pool that overlooks Buck Island. Bring your binoculars to get a closer look at boats. Chickens run free in the neighborhood and will pass through the property- lots of roosters. Finding it was a challenge and you have to navigate significant potholes and crumbling driveway on the way up the hill to the house (although this not unusual throughout the island). Furniture, especially the creaking beds, need replacement. The local handyman POC is responsive and helpful if/when needed. There was not a hotel room to be had in that area while we were there and this unit on balance was a good value.

Nice Getaway ....
The property itself was nice although the bedding/mattresses and window coverings (specifically master bedroom) need replacement as does the living room furniture. Very small TV in living room. View from house and pool area was lovely.
