Very lovely hotel located perfectly in the middle of the action. Yet during the concerns that tropical storm Ernesto presented, the friendly and professional staff made us feel safe as they were ready to meet our requested needs. The fact that power lost was minimal in length of time was impressive as well. Would definitely select the Caravelle Hotel again.

The room was nice and clean. Staff was very friendly during our entire stay. Was able to give recommendations on food around the area only. Nice views on the outside of the hotel where the boats dock. Rumrunners (attached to hotel) has decent food. Location of the hotel was not in good proximity to anything “fun” other than Big Beards and they charge $$$ to take you to Buck Island. Taxi rides are a little pricey as well to different parts of the island ($60 from airport/$50 to Rainbow Beach). Overall the hotel itself was nice and comfy. Hillarie was very nice checking us in and Geronimo was there when we called for maintenance. Nothing to complain about HOTEL wise. We enjoyed our stay.

Found roaches in the bathroom two nights. Had to switch rooms, causing my elderly mother much grief; only to have a poor view, broken shutter, drawer and to find pool railing broken as well. No compensation because I booked through Travelocity.

I had no phone service on St. Croix. The staff was very helpful making calls for me.

The property is overpriced. Everything is close and walking distance but it’s limited options. The food is overpriced and American cuisine. No native island food for miles. No transportation off the island unless you plan it in advance. It’s not off the beach, you have to take a ferry over to the beach. The hotel is on an alley way, very narrow dead end street. The front desk didn’t communicate accurate information about how to get places. It was very few guest. The hotel restaurant is overpriced. The food came out 40 mins later and cold. Shrimp and Chips was good but the fries were cold and overcooked. I wouldn’t waste my time booking here. I wouldn’t visit the island again. It didn’t seem safe or tourist friendly at all.

Very comfortable and clean. They made everything feel at home. Also, was very close to entertainment, local stores, and plenty of restaurants

Enjoyed the area, the bed was pretty hard and the pillows were stiff other than that no real big complaints. Staff was very helpful every time we needed something.

The property is older but you can’t beat the location. I liked the hospitality and the attention the staff gave us. The rooms were very clean and the view was amazing. The vending machine was cheaper than the local stores along with the price for bottled water. The place does go out of the way to satisfy its customers. The local maintenance guy called a local woman who sells home made fresh Patties and they were awesome. We were treated like family. Literally on the boardwalk and accessible to everything. Don’t be discouraged by the appearance of the neighborhood. Yes, some parts are of concern but they are due to the most recent hurricane damage. The staff at the hotel are hard working and they made sure we got to places safe and ate at the most authentic locations. The pool was very clean and always had fresh towels! I really enjoyed the age of the hotel and its design. Meaning its lobby area was open and the air flowed so amazing. At night I really enjoyed the pool roof top and enjoyed looking down on the streets and boardwalk. “Jump Up”party was this Friday night and the streets were full of venders, open shops and local food from 4pm-midnight! If you ever get to experience a “Jump Up” event always do the Mothers Day weekend. We really had a great time and the people were so nice. I came from a location like this growing up in Mexico and the people are only trying to make a living and are very nice! Be open minded as this hotel wins for its customer service and care!

Not bad, typically I don’t stay in the touristy parts, but I was solo and it worked out well. Ate some great food and got to relax. I would recommend but parking sucks though.

This hotel is in an excellent location, walkable to food & shops. It does get a little noisy in the early morning hours. Rooms tend to have a view of ocean or harbor which is unbeatable. Have stayed here on a few occasions & I do recommend.

Location, location, location. The hotel is conveniently situated in the heart of town. Restaurants, shops, boardwalk, and activities steps away. In terms of the hotel property, it was mid-tier. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Fridge and microwave came in handy. The view of water was amazing. Pool and upper deck were also quite nice. Overall good stay.

Clean hotel and rooms. It's in downtown
a lot of restaurant choices and activities available.
The homeless population can be an eyesore for some.
just smile and move on, I never felt unsafe.

The only downside to the property that I feel I should mention is they ran out of towels for us. Other than that, the staff was very nice. Be aware that it may be loud at night because you are right next to Shupes but there is nothing the hotel can do about that.

This site sold me a Harbor View room and what we got was a view of the parking lot. When I told them when we arrived that it wasn’t what I had purchased I was told that it wasn’t their problem because I didn’t purchase it through them. They had no other rooms available so I had no other choices. It was too late in the evening to find somewhere else. The evening desk attendant was rude and when I asked her a question she lied straight to my face. The unprofessionalism was astounding. If you are going to work with the public, you need some modicum of rapport.

Hotel is in a convenient location, very good restaurant (Rum Runner), however, parking was terrible and area was under construction. A more friendly customer service needed!

My stay at the Caravelle was amazing. The front desk staff was very friendly and polite. The room was spacious, clean and had an awesome view of the ocean. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance to explore. Overall it was a great stay. My one critique would be that there is limited space for parking if you plan on renting a vehicle while you’re there. Even with that said, I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to friends and family.

Great boutique hotel with nice rooms and ocean views. Service is great and the front desk staff is very cordial. Always stay here when I travel on business to St. Croix. The only negative is they have limited parking and it’s first come first serve. Government parking is a few blocks away (walkable) and they have street parking in front of the hotel (when available). The casino is small but always busy with both tourists and locals. I highly recommend this property.
