Property was beautiful. Pool was great. Management was very helpful. David our concierge contact recommended great activities and places to eat. Cant wait to come back

The property location was great. Great views and a very comfortable house for our families one week stay. Our grandson surely made use of the pool. Spacious for the three generations to have space when needed.
They could use a better cleaning company though. But nothing a little sweeping and vacuuming couldn’t take care of.
Overall I would definitely lease this property again.

Our Family came together from different areas of the US. It would have been a great visit no matter where we stayed, but was especially nice staying in this house. I recommend this for family stays.

Excellent in every way!

Beautiful views! The house was very comfortable for 3 adult couples. The kitchen was at the top end of rental kitchens I've experienced. Just a few minutes in the car to things in Kailua. Kona Coast was very professional. We would definitely go back!

The house is in a great neighborhood in Kailua-Kona. We felt very safe and the house was exactly as described. A few items that would make it better for a long stay: more towels and blankets are needed for 6 people; and we should have the option to heat the pool!!

Not cheap, but you get what you pay for! The house was perfect for our needs. There were a few minor issues, but Kona Coast handled everything quickly and without disrupting our visit. Would definitely stay here again!

The house was lovely...and stocked with almost anything we might need (thank you, specifically, for having band-aids). The owner obviously cares for guests...and we enjoyed our stay very much.
The lanai and pool were AMAZING and we truly enjoyed our morning coffee with the sights, sounds, and smells of the island as we woke up for the day. The variety of fauna & flora in the yard were a lovely wonderland to explore...and Mr. Rooster was quite entertaining.
That being said, we were disappointed to find that the pool lights weren't functioning. The neighborhood is quite dark, and without the pool lights we weren't able to swim in the evenings...basically cutting our pool time by half. Having chosen the house specifically for the private pool...and having nobody warn us of this issue in advance of our arrival...we felt somewhat mislead.
Also while the listing says air conditioning is available in certain rooms, it was set to 74 degrees and could not be lowered. The living room and two smaller bedrooms got uncomfortably warm as a result. There were pedestal fans in each smaller bedroom, but, again, it just felt like we were somewhat mislead by the listing.
Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely stay here again if we were to return to the Big Island of Hawaii. Thank you so much!

The pool is the highlight- its a great size for the kids to play while the adults sip drinks in the loungers placed in the shallow water! The house is large and well situated for multiple families. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you will need. Enjoy!

Our family had a great stay at this property. The location is great for going places in town, as well as south and north of property. Nice to get away from crowds and sit by the infinity pool. Used the snorkel and beach gear multiple times.

We were very pleased with everything this house offered. Clean, quiet and very easy to relax. Only access with codes, we felt safe. There were plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and beach/ pool towels. Kitchen had every utensil and appliance you would need. Overall we were very impressed.

Found the property no problem and got tight in. We were immediately impressed with the spacious rooms and the gorgeous pool and ocean view in the back. Also the landscaping was unbelievable. All types of flowering and fruit trees and shrubs. In the house, the master bedroom air conditioner was the best. The other rooms were warmer, especially the main living area. Verses were comfy and plenty of towels and such. The kitchen had every appliance and utensil imaginable! My only suggestion Is to get a coffee maker with auto shutoff. All in all it was A+.

What a super property, set on the slopes above the coast just outside of Kona it was the perfect place for our group of 5 to spend 6 days exploring the beautiful island of Hawaii. It proved to be a relaxing haven for us to chill out after spending our days on the move to places of interest. The house, garden and pool are of the highest standard and basically we lacked for nothing during our stay.

Beautiful home, great location
We took a family vacation to the Big Island and loved our choice for the rental home. There were a few minor things at check in and the management were quick to address the issues the best way they could. The home was spacious, well-equipped, clean and comfortable for our family. We used the concierge service to book our adventures and David was easy to work with. The location of the home to the activities, beaches, and shops was perfect, central to everything. Infinity pool was great way to relax and enjoy the tremendous view. We would happily stay here again in the future. The island was beautiful and the people were fantastic. Enjoy the Big Island of Hawaii!

Views are even better than the photos. Home is very livable with fully sized kitchen. Loved the cover porch which allowed for outdoor living regardless of weather. Flowers and Fruit trees throughout the property were a bonus.

We had a great time staying in Hawaii! The house was clean and well furnished! The pool was amazing and the house was exactly as displayed. All the lights were labeled which really helped seeing as there were so many! I loved that so many beach towels were stacked! Great house and super easy to get in contact with someone if you needed anything!

Outstanding
We absolutely love this property. Quiet, private location in gated community with outstanding view of the ocean. Spacious, clean and plenty of provisions as advertised. We spent 14 wonderful days watching the whales and dolphins poolside. We enjoyed working with Kona Coast Vacations and have reservations for the same property next year.

Tropical sanctuary
Impeccably clean luxury home in gated community on a large lot surrounded by tropical landscape creating private 180 degree ocean view beyond the infinity pool. Incredible serenity with tropical bird orchestra throughout the day. No road noise and well separated from neighbors on cul-de-sac.

Perfect place to relax with family
This place had everything we needed for a perfect vacation. My 3 young boys enjoyed the pool for hours. The adults enjoyed the view of the water and the spacious lanai. The house had everything we needed and it was only a couple miles from town. Private beautiful location.

Five Star House
I’m picky about rentals and this place was fantastic. Clean, great location, fully stocked with an outstanding view of the ocean. The house is located at the top of the hill overlooking the other homes in a gated community. We did a lot of exploring but wish we had spent more time enjoying the house and pool. We didn’t use one of the bedrooms because there weren’t enough of us but the house is ideal for three couples. Highly recommend!

Island paradise!
This home was beautiful and spacious. The house came well equipped with dishes and cooking utensils. Also, it had beach towels for each of us. Since we flew in, we appreciated the initial stock of hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper. This home provided beautiful views. We loved enjoyed our morning coffee and dinner on the lanai. This home is located very close to downtown Kona (5 minute drive, if that). We would definitely rent this place again!

My family and I absolutely enjoyed our stay at Akoa Place. Home is equipped with everything you need for home cook meals. Beaches recommended were accurately described. Will certainly return for the next trip to the Big Island.

Truly paradise!
The house was beautiful, functional, open, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was spacious, had everything we needed. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated, with great closet space, especially in the master. The second bedroom has a large sized attached restroom as well. The house was equipped with beach towels. The backyard is the star of the show! It is absolutely breathtaking! The infinity pool was stunning, warm, and so relaxing. The views from inside and outside of the house are breathtaking. Can't wait to return! Upon arrival, we had an issue with the keypad not working, so we called the owners, and it was immediately fixed within minutes. Highly recommend this place!

Family Event
Our family of six celebrated my wife's 70th birthday here. It was a wonderful stay and great way to enjoy her birthday. The home is located near Kona and all it has to offer. After our married children left, we stay a few extra days to relax. We found just staying here and enjoying the views and pool was all we wanted to do. The home exceeded our expectations.

Great Location and Amazing Views
We highly recommend this house in Kona. The layout is good with the master on one side of the house and the 2 other bedrooms on the other. The master closet is so large you can easily put a pack-and-play or set up a small bed for a young kid in there. There was a pack-and-play in the closet when we got there along with a twinish sized folding floor mattress that would work great for a kid up to 10 or so. There were some beach chairs, an umbrella, some beat up snorkel gear and lots of pool floats/noodles as of 04/15-2021 FYI. The yard and the pool are great. Amazing views.

Do yourself a favor.
I have rented through VBRO 16 times including when it was called Home Away. I always get busy as soon as we come back and I forget to post reviews but this one was exceptional. The pictures are very accurate. It is a very beautiful home and you will hate departure day. David was awesome with communication before we even arrived. If you have small children the pool is locked off with glass doors that they cannot open. Loved it and we will be back soon.

Our family loved our stay, it was exactly what we hoped for. This property is better in real life than the pictures show. There is plenty of space. The location is convenient and quiet. Thank you for sharing this home with us.
