About this house rental
Guests are sure to enjoy a memorable vacation in this fully furnished 5 bedroom, 3 bath, 5000 square foot, lake house! Enjoy the lake and a wonderful hot tub with sunset views. The master bedroom is on the main floor with access to the large deck overlooking the lake. This bedroom includes a king-sized bed and large bathroom with an awesome shower and soaking tub. In addition, this space has a large loft above that includes a seating area, smart TV, board games and toys with beautiful view of the lake!
The kitchen is perfect for dining as it is equipped with a double oven, cook top, a fully loaded kitchen for your cooking pleasure, and countertop area which seats six. Connected is a beautiful large dining room with table that seats ten with access to a small deck and table for outside grilling. On this same level is a nice living room area with gas fireplace and private office.
Downstairs you will find four large bedrooms with one king, two queens, and a bedroom with two full over full bunk beds. In addition, there is a partial kitchen with small dining room table which walks out to the lower deck to access the hot tub. You will enjoy the game room which includes an 85" television with theatre seating, a 9' pool table, dart board and shuffleboard. All the equipment for a competitive game of poker is available as well!
Situated on Lake Cowdry, guests can enjoy a day of relaxation, water activities and later watch the sunset from the balcony. The property includes 2 kayaks and 2 SUP's for your enjoyment. Kayaks, canoes and smaller craft are able to venture through the channel and discover the chain of lakes in Alexandria which include Lake Darling, Lake Carols, Lake Le Homme Dieu, Lake Geneva and Lake Victoria. Fishing is abundant. You'll love the small town friendly community of Alexandria with it's many festivals and activities offered for all ages, all year long.

Large house, big kitchen area. We of course had the master suite which was perfect with its own loft for us grandparents to escape the children when needed. Nice boat dock and boat lift. Kids had fun catching endless sunnies from the dock with worms. Close to town and grocery store. Big garage. Nice movie room as well. All in all a fun week.

Was very nice place to rent. Enjoyed. Washed up all the towels and replaced them where they belonged, Also strep all the beds that we used and left bedding on end of beds to be washed. Also vac. all the rugs and floors. Took out all the garbage. Hope we kept it clean as when we came in.

It was really difficult to find a house to accommodate our large of group and Kens house did not disappoint. The house was even larger than we imagined with spacious and private rooms. Great gathering areas to fit everyone and be comfortable all together. Everything we needed to cook and serve a large group. So much entertainment inside the house and out. Ken was great with communication and very clear with what was expected with the check in and check out process. Would highly recommend Kens place to anyone looking to stay in the area!

Amazing house plenty to do in the game room. Large bedrooms very comfortable, absolutely loved the big kitchen living area that seemed to be where we all congregated large hot tub that was enjoyed by all of us. Beautiful view Over the lake. We had a great time. This house was fabulous.

We stayed here as a belated Christmas weekend. The house was amazing and had so many things to do including a great hot tub. Snow tubing at Andees was a great close by activity. We plan to stay there again next year.

My family of 13 including children ranging from 2 months to 13 years were very pleased with this cabin and all it had to offer. Despite it being very cold outside, the cabin had plenty of space and activities for all ages.
The view of the lake is wonderful.
It was a quick drive to the YMCA which had an open swim for the kids.
The kitchen was filled with plenty of dishes, cookware, and misc spices, coffee filters, etc…
Would definitely consider staying here again if we are in the area.

This property had everything we wanted for our family Christmas vacation! The house is so warm and welcoming - we felt right at home. The hot tub was a huge hit along with the theater/game room. Loved that the kitchen was fully stocked. The beds were very comfortable. We will be back!

We had a friends weekend getaway and the house was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was very well stocked with items needed for cooking, serving eating etc. The beds were very comfortable and the large table and island were perfect for gathering around. We had 2 vehicles so the garage was perfect for us to pull in and unload our stuff.
Would not hesitate to rent the property again in the future.

This was THE perfect place for our family to stay leading up to our wedding. With 5 children combined, ranging in ages from 15 - 24, we had space for everyone, a beautiful view from the various decks and SO many fun things to do inside as well! Ken was an amazing host, answering any questions we had and truly making us feel at home. We so loved the entire vibe of this house- warm, welcoming and perfect for entertaining. This is our second year staying at Ken's property, and we are back for a reason. :). The property is large enough for our group of 16, including a number of teen and college-aged children. There is plenty to do, and lots of spaces to gather and not feel on top of each other. The house is well-stocked, and the hot tub, SUPs and kayaks are great additions. More than anything, we appreciate the kindness of Ken - we feel that he and his wife genuinely love hosting in the home and make sure feel like family when we are there. We had a family vacation here with kids of all ages. There’s a ton of things to do inside and outside. Everyone loved the paddle boards and kayaks. Fishing off the dock was so exciting for the kids. Thanks for letting us use your beautiful home to make some awesome family memories!!

We loved our stay at this beautiful lake home! We loved the comfy beds, the hot tub, the kayaks and paddle boards, the shuffleboard table, the lake view. We want to come back! Thank you so much for offering your home as a vacation rental. The house had more conveniences than we expected - 2 sets of washers/dryers, fully stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, etc. Communication with the host was easy and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

Ken’s house is absolutely beautiful. My family had an amazing time relaxing by the lake, kayaking, paddle boarding and just hanging out together. Ken is an excellent host and responds to messages almost immediately. I would highly recommend staying on this property.

We have been renting houses for family reunions for more than 20 years, and this is, without a doubt, our favorite! It is spacious, gracious, and well-furnished! Ken could not have been easier to work with, and the neighbors were even complimentary when my son played his bagpipes on the dock. We were there in summer, but it is clear that it would be equally comfortable in winter. We'll be back!

We brought 5 seniors in night school to celebrate 13 years of Girls Scouts before they graduate. The home was large enough for seven of us to stay together but also have space when needed. The pictures do not do it justice with all of the amenities. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked and we had everything needed for baking and cooking. The hot tub and all the activities downstairs are incredible. Lovely fire pit with a great view of the lake. Ken was very quick with communication and pleasant to work with. We would love to come back! Thank you for having us.

Loved this get away. Has many extra's. Pool table, shuffle baord, theater area, poker table, Hot tub. The living room area is spacious and so relaxing. We did have some trouble with hot water when showering and there is floor heat in the basement so it was a bit chilly. But we would definitely stay here again. In fact one of us booked it for a second time already!

High end features, not just “rental grade” home was filled with features and games that I would choose for my own home. Owner was a pleasure with every communication “even on Xmas day” Family was all together and fully engaged with each other thanks to this property being exactly as advertised. Ken was a great host. He was available for any questions we had. The house was wonderful and met our needs! Plenty of room for all the guests. The kitchen was large and the huge island was great for hanging around and playing games.

Ken's property was immaculate and incredibly spacious; the pictures don't really do it justice. Our stay (with 16 adults!) could not have been smoother; check in was easy, the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and Ken was easy to reach at all times. I'd highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a well-located, large property with great amenities and a communicative host. 5 stars!

We stayed here with my parents, sister and our combined 5 kids (ages 3-11). We didn’t get ideal weather and were so appreciative of the game rooms and indoor spaces to play during the rainy days. Once the weather improved, we enjoyed fishing off the dock, swimming and the standup paddle boards. The set up of the house was perfect for accommodating our group of 10 and we could have easily fit more! Thank you Ken for a great stay. We hope to return!
