Expansive with many attractive decor elements and niceties. Could use a few updates but overall very well appointed; our siblings and spouses really enjoyed staying here!

Seven family members thoroughly enjoyed staying at the hillside house - room for all of us to have some space as well as great areas for the family to gather. Multiple sitting/living room areas and a big kitchen with dining area. The host was responsive and helpful - the area is peaceful and quiet. Would certainly recommend, especially for larger groups!

We could not have found a better vacation home after a cramped 7 day cruise! Unbelievable amount of space, Large spacious comfortable bedrooms. All the utensils, kitchen supplies that we needed. The owner very pleasant and courteous. Highly, highly recommended!

Perfect location and accommodations for all of our family. Everyone had their own room and then there was lots of room for the family to gather together. Great place to stay before going on our land and cruise tour. Easy check-in and check out process and owners are very helpful. Great Alaskan experience!

Everything was perfect! Thanks for hosting us

This spacious and secluded house on a private road in Anchorage, AK, was an absolute gem. After a long journey, finding a beer in the refrigerator was a delightful touch. The house provided ample space for my family of four, with every comfort thoughtfully provided. A resident moose added a unique charm to the property.
The huge kitchen, cozy dining area, and back deck were perfect for family time and outdoor grilling. The fully stocked amenities, incredibly comfortable beds, and blackout curtains ensured a restful stay. The overall vibe of the house was fantastic.
We highly recommend this home & will be staying here again on our next trip to AK!!

House was quiet, located off the road. Several family rooms. Comfortable bedrooms and well-appointed kitchen. It was a last-minute stay due to family emergency. Owner very accommodating to give us same day check in.

Me and 4 co-workers stayed here for a week and everything was great. Everyone had their own room and the house was super clean. We had everything we needed and the house worked as a great home base. thx!

The home was awesome. We had gone up for a church group event. The home is huge, everyone was able to spread out and have their own space and yet had large common areas for socializing. It had been snowing quite a bit which made the location magical

I started in the house together with my colleagues for about five weeks, when we needed to work in Anchorage. There is a lot of space in the house and comfortable bed rooms for five persons who don't want to share a room. It was very easy to communicate with the host and he helped us with a lot of things.

House was perfect for our group of three couples for a week. There's plenty of space to spread out and have privacy and also gathering places to enjoy as a group. We loved the kitchen for breakfast and coffee every morning. It's a super quiet location and easy access to all of Anchorage. Owner promptly responded when contacted. It feels like you're stepping into the 80's when you're in the house, but it's super clean and comfortable.

We rented this property as our home base for the 4 generation family vacation, and it was perfect! SO much space to spread out and have our privacy, as well as the large family get together areas. Loved everything about this home.
4.8
We had 3 generations staying together in the house. There was more than enough room for all of us. The house is in a great central location for getting around Anchorage. This was the 2nd time staying here, and we hope to be back again!

Great house, very large, beautiful rooms. Couldn’t ask for a better representation of an Alaskan home. We had a large owl that visited us from time to time. We were close to some great hiking trails in the Chugach park and views of Anchorage. Also easy access to all parts of Anchorage. Downtown was about 15- 20 minutes away.
The owners were easy to communicate with and answered questions promptly.
Overall we felt like we were in Alaska and not the city of Anchorage.

Unique, antique-filled, beautifully decorated house that we found so spacious, clean & enjoyable to share family time.
4.8
Beautiful house. Older and needs some TLC but comfortable for the 6 of us. A few minor inconveniences that could have been avoided if the house had been inspected and prepared for our arrival. The major problem (no hot water) was very promptly attended to but it does take hours for the tank to heat so no baths or showers after a long day of travel.
Had we known we would not be able to use the fireplaces due to a down draft problem, we may have reconsidered our booking.
Overall, considering we basically just used it as a place to sleep, it suited our needs.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Anchorage. The house offered plenty of space for our entire group. It is centrally located and made it easy to get around. Bob was great and took care of all our need.

we loved the house. could use a little brighter light in the front of the house as we got there late and it was very dark even with the front porch light on. other than that it was a very nice place to stay. clean quiet and very roomy. will stay again if we can on our next trip :)

House was amazing, more than we expected, this is a very large home and very comfortable. Great location, very easy to get to almost anywhere you want to be in Anchorage. Could not be happier with this house and as a bonus we saw 3 moose go thru the yard and feed on the vegatation, a mother and 2 calves!!!

Check in was easy. The place was amazing. Fantastic amount of space. As read on previous reviews the place was somewhat outdated in the decorations. That did not bother me. The place seemed nice & clean. Also the view was not comparable to another BNB that we stayed at. But did eat all meals out on the patio enjoying the backyard. I loved the place and would definitely stay again if ever in Anchorage again.

This house is perfect for a large group. In addition to the five bedrooms, there were three living room areas with lots of sofas and chairs. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We had a great time!

Great place. Tons of room. We were close to everything in Anchorage.

Peaceful Privacy
This is a fantastic home with lots of space for whoever you may be vacationing with. The owner is responsive and I enjoyed several conversations with him. The house is a little dated but is very fairly priced considering this. The location can't be beat. 2.5 acres of privacy but just a couple minutes onto the Seward Highway. I would highly recommend this property.

Perfect for Us
This beautiful older home was elegant, spacious, and perfect for our group of one old couple, 3 single adults, and 2 teenagers. The grandkids called it a "mansion." All adults had their own bedroom, and 3.5 bathrooms meant nobody had to "wait." The location was excellent, with easy access to the airport or Old Seward Hwy which we took several times - to Girdwood, Whittier, Seward, and Homer. (Or once we headed north to Palmer.) Bob was an excellent host, giving us our privacy, but readily available to promptly fix any (minor) issues that came up... plus providing "service beyond the call of duty" when an item was left behind. Thank you, Bob, for sharing your beautiful home! It was perfect for our needs as we enjoyed the comfort of "Tudor Hills."

Three generations enjoyed the warm hospitality and lovely house of our gracious host Bob. Mama moose and her twins visited almost every day.
Thank you for two great weeks in your Alaskan home.

There was plenty of room for 10 adults to spread out and relax The house was has a very Alaskan feel and was close to everything We even saw a moose and her calf one morning
Only draw back was the construction on the main road but the house is far enough from the road it did not bother us

We were in town for a funeral of a family member and the house was ideal for providing a lot of space for the family -- also with three different areas to congregate on top of 2 large dining areas. . It is close a nice part of town across from the zoo. We ended up getting into town as communicated to the owner though and had not been given the code for the keypad. Several of us congregated by the front door frantically trying to call the number provided as we needed to change for the viewing of our loved one-- no answer. A Google search allowed us to reach the owner who was out of town and provided us the necessary code. It is possible the snafu was on our end, but after over 15 VRBO stays, this isn't something we'd experienced before!

Huge home, which was great for our group. Convenient location. Close to everything. Great host and hospitality!

Check in/out easy. Very clean, yes NO shoes inside the home. During this trip stayed in two other properties before this one. As a MORNING COFFEE DRINKER WHILE GETTING READY was very happy the others had a variety of coffee creamers & tea. "Little EXTRAS to make us feel welcome ". This one had none of these. Hard to shop when not familiar with area or shop not close by. Could use some modernizing.

We had our high school basketball team stay here and it was perfect. A very private location but also close enough to places we needed to be that we didn't have to spend too much time in the car. There is a lot of space to spread out.

From the moment you step in the front door this is a home that has all the comforts of home, and is a great get away for families. Lots of entertaining space and ability to "get away". All bedrooms comfortable and spacious. Location is perfect, easy access to anywhere in the Anchorage area. Feels like you are in the middle of nowhere - a nice private drive and lot, yet you are right in the midst of everything. Great host as well.
