About this cabin rental
This 3 bedroom home theater cabin features 3 suites and 1 suite with Jacuzzi tub, an outdoor hot tub, gas grill, pool table, game table and many other amenities. Watch movies on your own private 9 foot theater screen with surround sound system. Enjoy your favorite football or basketball game on the big screen television. Or have a cookout on the large deck that features a stainless steel gas grill. Free wireless internet in this huge 2 bedroom cabin.
The upstairs bedroom features 2 queen sized beds and a private bath. The adjoining loft has a game table and queen sleeper sofa. The main entry level suite features a king sized bed, Jacuzzi tub and bath. With the lower level theater and game room adjoining another suite with private bath.
For your convenience, this cabin is equipped with a washer/dryer and a dishwasher as well as a full kitchen with pots and pans. There is comfortable seating for 6 on the main level, 8 in the lower level and 6 in the upper level loft area.

Cabin was nice, as described. A few things could use a little more attention for cleaning. Customer service was good when contacted regarding refrigerator issue. Close enough to local activities. Saw a few bear while on a walk around the area. And some while driving. Local Glades soda fountain shop and Split Rock Eats should be on your list to go too.

I stayed at Mountain Magic with my large family of seven kids ages 11 and under with my wife. We had an excellent time. The accommodations were more than sufficient for our needs. We did find a crack in the first floor bathroom shower pan, prior to us using it fortunately. We did not have any issues reporting it to staff. The cabin was very clean, however, the cleaner they use on the floor made it feel slightly tacky. We quickly realized that it was not sticky from being dirty.There was not much in the way of a view, but it was close to the outskirts of Gatlinburg.

The cabin was clean, spacious, conveniently located, and well-appointed. We enjoyed having the room to spread out, use a hot tub, pool table, and movie room. The resort communicated well, and gave us easy access to help when we could not figure out something with the movie technology. Check in and check out were easy. The only negative is that the cabin is not sound-proofed AT ALL, so we could literally have a conversation with our kids, sleeping in the rooms above and below us, in a normal speaking volume. It was surprising how much sound carried, even for a log cabin. If you're wanting a lot of privacy for romance or anything else, this may not be the best choice. Same thing if you depend heavily on fast internet. It was slow and spotty, which is normal for the area, and likely not something the resort can control. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay, and we feel like the hosts did their best to provide a wonderful experience. We would return to this resort again.

This cabin is a fantastic option for a group. We had so much fun watching a movie in the theater room and playing pool and games.
Only downside is the wooden floors carry sound. If you have active children (or adults) bring earplugs to sleep.

Starting off the location of this cabin is about 5 minutes from Gatlinburg, and close to some local shops, that is the major plus for the cabin. The negatives were the overall cleanliness of the cabin and the bats. We had 3 nights where bats were getting into the cabin and flying around causing a ruckus. You can imagine the 6 and 7 year old children we had were terrified. We spent a good half hour the first night trying to get the first bat outside. They are disgusting and carry all sorts of diseases, this thing just flew around landing on every surface imaginable. We did finally get that one out the door, as well as the 2nd bat we encountered. The 3rd bat was not so fortunate, we had to dispatch of it because we could not get it to go out the open doors. Just really gross. We stayed for a week, the cabin is very cheap with any of the items you would expect to stay. They give 1 roll of TP per bathroom, and 1 trashbag. For the price I would imagine they could give you just a little more than that. The arcade box and pool table work as intended, however the projector was supposed to have an hdmi to connect to and did not, it only had a dvd player which really limits its use. Very frustrating stay.

I reserved the cabin 1935 Elk Sprint- Mountain Magic and the condition was horrible, when we arrived at the cabin there was no water, we had to wait 3 hours to solve that problem, the 1st night we were very cold because the heater had problems, on the 2nd day too We had problems with the water again, the cabin was super dirty. the barbecue was super dirty and there was food from other customers

Location is PERFECT to avoid traffic and visit Gatlinburg daily. The cabin is nice and relatively clean. The beds are not comfortable and the furniture is not in good shape and in need of replacement. There is no communal bathroom (i.e. they were only in the bedrooms which presented a problem for those sleeping in the loft and in the basement. The thing we had most issue with were the threatening laminated signs throughout the cabin posting fines. It became a running joke that if we sneezed it would cost us $150. For those of us frequent flyers, we understand how to respect properties and found this very off-putting. The kitchen had bare minimum, but was enough to be able to cook and eat in. The gas grill a plus. The 3rd stair from the bottom heading to the loft was super slick in socks, 3 of us slipped. I unfortunately did not catch myself. Wear cabin socks with rubber padding!!! Honestly, we would stay again if the signs go and the furniture were replaced. Location again, is perfect so may look into other Elk Springs cabins for future visits.

Only issue we had was the internet would go in and out too often, I know this is something that can’t be helped, but I just thought it was happening too often just to be due to weather or some other issue related to unforeseen circumstances. We had a nice stay at Mountain Magic, but definitely noticed that this cabin was not kept up & cared for as much as some of the other cabins we've stayed in. Beds we're squeaky, second mirror over double sink was missing, toilet seat was broken, carpet in bottom level was dingy & that floor in general felt damp & smelled musty. Several small fixes & a very good dusting would definitely move this cabin in the right direction.

The house is beautiful, we had some stuff about the fridge early on but the maintenance staff was very helpful and got to the cabin to quickly fix it. They were very timely on returning messages and calls about any issues or questions we had. I reported some leaking in basement and they were quick to respond back and look at it. The rooms are spacious and as described on the website. The pictures are accurate. Plenty of room for up to 12 people. The main concern was the housekeeping of this property. Everywhere you look there is at least one inch of standing dust. In the window sills are multiple dead flies —- especially in the large front window, easily 50-70 dead flies. When this was addressed with the office, they sent housekeeping 24 hours later. Housekeeping showed up with 3 dry rags and a bottle of windex. She put the dusty rags on the beds. For the price paid, it is suggested to provide more than one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels for the kitchen, etc. I would recommend sticking with a private Airbnb or VRBO instead.

All was well with our stay at this cabin until it was time for the MAIN floor shower to be used, the shower leaked into the LOWER level. I can say that the maintenance person that came was exceptional, friendly, and fast with the given situation but, all these cabins need to have routine checks a couple of times throughout the year to make sure guests can use ALL amenities as described. Then, I was told by the property management that I would not receive anything back for the leaking because it was other bathrooms to use - needless to say, nine people sharing to bathrooms was not enjoyed, and to not be compensated was a slap in the face. As a repeat customer, I will venture out next time.
