We enjoyed our weekend at cabin fever!
However, there were some things on this property that could use some extra attention and love! We are aware that this was an animal friendly home, even though we were not traveling with any animals, but to be honest, that wasn’t the issue! The inside of this beautiful home was covered in cobwebs Everywhere, hasn’t been dusted in a very long time! bed sheets were stained from previous guest, the bed pillows also had very bad stained on them! The heating system for this home was not that great as well, but we made it work because of the fireplace. Wi-Fi kept going out which was an inconvenience. We also find it a little odd that the master bedroom did not have a TV.
The overall we enjoyed our weekend, but you guys may want to take an extra look at these issues for future guest

The cabin is located at a very convenient location for skiing and snow tubing activities. Nestled on a mountain top, the cabin is little bit secluded with required privacy and at same time surrounded by other cabins. Neat and clean, the communication with directions, instructions and processes were seamless. Enjoyed the stay and would recommend highly.

My friends and I had such an amazing and comfy stay at this place. We loved the open floor plan that allowed people to relax together and spread out. The hot tub was awesome as was the deck. Close to beautiful hikes and pretty little waterfalls. The kitchen was super stocked with dishes and cookware. The labels in the cabinets and on the light switches are so thoughtful & helpful! My friends and I had one of the most relaxing & fun weekends of our lives being cozy in this cabin!

Dirty but Fun
So overall I don’t understand the reviews because everything was pretty much five star and this was definitely not a five star cabin. The pictures made it look 100 times better on the website then when you walked in the door which right off the bat was very disappointing. The cleanliness of the cabin was OK at best. There was dust all over, urine stains on the bathroom floors, my daughter had fake fingernails in the bed sheets she was sleeping in, several things that we pulled out the kitchen to cook with were still filthy and had food on them, there was stuff spilled all over the door at the queen room which apparently ran all down the door and onto the carpet which looked like it hadn’t been steam cleaned in I couldn’t even tell you how long. It was just things like this throughout the entire cabin which didn’t make or break the cabin, it just made you feel kind of dirty the whole time you were there.
The cabin itself was fine and we did have a lot of fun but it definitely needs updating badly. The cable did not work From 11am until 6pm-7pm every day which nobody knew really why. The hot tub was awesome and the kids loved it. The neighborhood was also very beautiful. If you’re going to stay here the best thing I can tell you is bring your own blankets and lots of pillows because the pillows they had there were the junkies pillows I’ve ever seen in my life. They were maybe a half an inch thick and some of them were maybe a little more thicker than that but they were as hard as bricks, to be honest they were worse than hospital pillows and there was absolutely nowhere to put any of your groceries and food that you brought which surprised me for a cabin that sleeps this many people so we just utilized a bunch of the counter space. Every time I did have to talk to the staff which was only twice they were so incredibly sweet and wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about them. The plus side is you were only minutes away from grocery stores and sugar mountain was within 15 minutes of the cabin. Overall, I would definitely not stay in this cabin again but I would look into other cabin rentals that this company owned because of how incredibly sweet and courteous they were.

The home is nicely laid out to have 1 bedroom on each floor. The upstairs and downstairs are great if you have kids with your party. The hot tub had a hard time staying warm in below freezing temps but we were still able to enjoy in short increments. To be dog friendly but not have dogs with us, I was impressed with how clean it was. Thanks for having us, we hope to be back.

Lovely home, great for kids and families
We stayed at Cabin Fever and did snow tubing at Hawksnest Resort. We had an amazing time!! The layout and sleeping arrangements were great for our three kids, us and grandparents, and would also work for multiple families. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub after a morning of playing in the snow.
Check in and out was very easy. Great location. We’ll definitely be back!

Convenient to nearby attractions
The cabin looks like it overviews the mountains online but it's surrounded by other cabins/neighbors in person. The room with the bunks is downstairs with a door to close it off at the top. If you leave the door open at the top it blocks the hallway so it was kind of a weird set up. The beds were worn out. The one in particular downstairs there was a spring popping out when my daughter laid on it. We could never figure out the heat or ac units. They wouldn't stay on. The fireplace was nice. There were dirty towels left in the bathroom, one was shoved in the drawer and one left hanging with makeup on it. The water was nice and hot. We did appreciate maintenance taking the time to clean and prep the hot tub for us. Overall, it was a nice stay just minor adjustments for the price.

Cabin Fever
Overrall good experience. Did have some minor issues with cleaning (spiders webs everywhere) but overall very good place for a family vacation close to attractions!

We had a comfortable stay. Really enjoyed the hot tub and large porch with a porch swing. Well stocked with plenty of towels and complimentary toiletries. There are a few issues that can be easily addressed. The toaster doesn't work correctly; you have to hold down the handle manually for it to heat up and it still only toasts one side of the bread. The refrigerator door doesn't have a good seal so it stays slightly open sometimes. The TV in the King bedroom is not a smart TV, no cable, and no DVD player so it's basically useless. And all the ceiling fans had visible cobwebs. Despite these minor issues we enjoyed our stay. Good communication from the rental office.

Cabin Fever is a nicely situated cabin in Seven Devils, NC with convenient access to Otter Falls and especially Grandfather Mountain which was the highlight of our trip. We took a short Spring Break getaway with our two kids (14, 9). The pool table and jacuzzi were nice features. We expected it to be cleaner upon arrival and several of the fixtures are ready to be replaced including the front and basement door knobs, several blinds, and the baseboards on the upstairs twin beds. As much as we tried to “disconnect” the internet was out for half our stay which was a bit annoying despite several router reboots and an unreturned call to the property office. Basic kitchen supplies were adequate for our needs. Master bed was quite comfortable. Overall we felt Cabin Fever was 100.4 instead of the 103 degrees complete with chills, runny nose, and the need to alternate Tylenol and Motrin we were hoping for.

Some Issues
The house was comfortable with plenty of room for everyone and with a well equipped kitchen, plenty of towels and sheets. However, there were some issues. We found dried dog poo on the floor between the t.v. and dining table. The entry to the driveway was so washed out creating a deep gully that made our cars bottom out entering and leaving the drive. My husband had to spend time filling in the driveway entrance with rocks to help with that issue, but still it was difficult to get in and out. The hot tub was hot when we arrived but not clean. I spotted pieces of broken glass by the corner of the tub just to the left of the steps for entering the tub. I found a broken wine glass tossed over the railing. So, now not only was the tub water dirty, I didn,t know if broken glass was in the tub. We called maintenance and someone was sent out to look at the tub. He agreed the tub was dirty and he drained the tub, refilled it and cleaned up the broken glass around the tub. After he refilled the tub I was told that he reset the temperature and in 18 to 24 hours the water would be hot. It never warmed up. Maintenance came out again, and was surprised that the tub had been emptied because the water was still not clean. He said he didn't like how the water looked. I purposely rented a cabin that was equipped with a hot tub for my family to enjoy using and we never got to use it. When we checked out on Monday May 13th we still had a cold hot tub. Very disappointed in that.

Great stay for 2 families. Hot tub and pool table a hot with the teens.
Gas logs weren't working but wasn't that cold out.

Nice and relaxing
Beautiful home with everything you need! We had a great time. The home was clean and organized when we arrived. It was cold in the basement at first and the heating throughout the house isn’t great. Fireplace was perfect! They did supply a small heater in the basement as well. The hot tub and pool table were nice. I would reccommend this house.

Great cabin
We had three couples for the weekend on motorcycles. The road up to Seven Devils is really steep and sharp curves, but once in the subdivision the roads are great. Gravel parking. Very clean and everything was as described. Will stay here again to access Boone, Blowing Rock or the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Weekend getaway
The cabin was excellent. We had everything we needed except snow. Even though it was a little rainy we still had a great time going into town and just relaxing. The cabin was beautiful and amenities were perfect. We went to the Mast General Store and Mellow Mushroom. We will be planning another trip and staying here. Thank you!
