A Slope Side Apartment is an economical alternative to Hotels, condos and B&B's. This private apartment has all the comforts and amenities to make yourself at home in an Alaskan mountain setting. With a separate entrance on the first floor, this unit has one bedroom with a queen and single bed and the couch/futon pulls out to another double bed in the living room. There is a washer and dryer in the unit and soap is provided. It is in a perfect location to walk to the restaurants and shops nearby, yet the street is very quiet and away from any traffic. A biking/walking trail is located two minutes from your door. A Slope Side Apartment is located in Girdwood, just 35 miles south of Anchorage (50 mins. from Anchorage International Airport). Travelling down on the very scenic Seward Highway, you will enjoy specatular scenery and arrive to the friendly feeling of this small town in the forest. This area is considered the northern most expanse of the Pacific temperate rain forest. The lush mountains in the summer receive more than 600 inches of snow in the winter. Hanging glaciers surround the valley, connecting to the massive ice feilds of Prince William Sound. Bears, moose, dall sheep, mountain goats, eagles and other wildife is often seen in the area and right in town. Girdwood's small community is 'Alaska' and well worth the drive out of Anchorage. Spent 5 days here skiing the downhill slopes and pet friendly ski trails. All walking distance. Great communication with the owner and pics of the place are accurately represented.

A dream spot for a ski getaway! With its cleanliness, comfortable amenities, and a well-stocked kitchen, this slopeside apartment is the perfect haven after a day on the slopes. The convenience of a full-size washer and dryer ensures you can refresh your gear easily. Very easy check in process. I was impressed to have our own Arctic entrance. The apartment was very clean and had every amenity we needed. We loved that it was pet-friendly! It’s a 3-min drive over to the ski lodge and we popped in and out with the kids. Highly recommend!

This easy to access ground floor apartment was appointed for everything we could need and the washer/dryer were especially helpful after 8 days away from home. Great location in Girdwood. Would definitely be happy to return!

Wonderful facility at the ski resort. Got to do some laundry, cook ourselves some breakfast, turn on a TV that worked easily. Tram ride WELL worth it!

We had a great experience at this cute apartment! We only stayed for one night but would absolutely return. The hosts are so kind and helpful! While only two of us stayed, it would comfortably fit a family. Also, the location is perfect for being in walking distance to trails, shops, and restaurants (go check out The Bake Shop and Jack Sprat)! Thank you to Thalia and Ken for sharing your home with us!

This property was centralized to everything we wanted to do: Alyeska aerial tram, gold mining, the Alaska wildlife conservation center, and good food! Would definitely recommend, and would stay here again in the future. I’m sure the winter months it is perfect for the slopes too!

We so loved this home. We felt comfortable each day coming here after a full day of adventures. We definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting Girdwood! We hope to be back some day!

Apartment was nice and clean. My 11 year old slept on the futton and said it was comfortable! The only thing I would change is blackout curtains on the windows. Great value for price!

We’ve stayed here before and we were again very pleased with our stay. Ken is a great host and was very thoughtful about putting down sand in the driveway to help with the ice. Will definitely stay again.

Easy to find and easy check-in/check-out. We stayed one night, clean and comfortable in a good location near the base of the mountain. We hit their slow time, and didn't have too many options for dining, (we were hoping to eat at the Double Musky) seems like things start opening up more in December.

We were in Girdwood as a stopover when traveling from Healy to Seward. It was cold and rainy so we didn't see a lot, but the apartment was clean and cozy and it was nice to have a washer and dryer for a night. I would stay here again, and would like to see Girdwood with some sunshine involved!

We only stayed here one night but would definitely stay again. Check in and out was easy. We really appreciated the later than normal checkout time. The place was very clean. It is perfectly located to go to town or the mountain.

Our family stayed here two nights (two different stays). The location was peaceful and we were able to walk to dinner, breakfast, and take walks around Girdwood. The accommodations were great and exceeded our expectations from the photos. It was very clean and well maintained. My 18 year old and I enjoyed sitting in the living room and looking out the windows at nature around us. There was plenty of room for our family of four. We really enjoyed our time in Girdwood!
