Follow the path to this enchanting award winning “cottage”. With charm, color and impeccable attention to detail - you will feel you have stepped into your own modern fairytale. This thoughtfully planned out three bedroom, three and one half bathroom layout offers plenty of room and privacy for everyone. Located “On the Hill” in Saugatuck, this desirable location is sure to fulfill all your vacationing needs. The splendid views of the gothic church across the street complete the storybook feel of this destination.
Color, warmth and natural light are found throughout the two stories with a full lower level. On the main level you will find a modern and spacious kitchen which is a cooks dream. Enjoy your meals in the adjacent dining area with seating for 6. The comfortable living room with a gas stove fireplace encourages quiet relaxation and stimulating conversation with family and friends. The lower level family room offers a Smart HDTV and Blu-ray for additional entertainment. Those who want a little more solitude will find the loft tucked away on the second level to be the perfect escape.
The three bedrooms, each with a Queen bed are thoughtfully positioned, one on each floor offering plenty of privacy for all guests. The upper level Master Suite offers a private bath with his/hers sinks, large tub for soaking and beautiful tile/stone walk-in shower. There is also a large private balcony - perfect for that morning cup of coffee or cocktail in the evening while watching the locals stroll by. A main floor guest room has a Queen bed and private full bath with a tub/shower. The third guest room is on the lower level and offers a Queen bed. Hansel & Gretel cottage was great - zero issues. Well stocked with necessities (toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc.) and lots of other nice touches (spices, linens, etc.) Three great full baths and a half were greatly appreciated for family of five with three teenagers.
Loved our week in Saugatuck. Cottage is very close to vibrant downtown Saugatuck (take the stairs to the left, we “discovered” those on day three!) lots of restaurants, more ice cream shops than you can count. Close drive to beaches (Douglas and Oval), hiking, Sand Dunes, etc.

Upon checking in I messaged the host how lovely the house was and that the pictures (while lovely) did not do the justice. Such a cute house, lovely appointments everywhere, in a perfect location. We loved sitting out on the front porch with our coffee in the morning. It was so close to downtown with just a few short blocks to walk but was peaceful and serene. The beds were super comfortable as well.
Angela, the host, was super helpful with her quick replies and suggestions. We will most certainly be looking to rent her lovely home again for our next trip to the area.

We had an amazing couple days away in saugatuck! A friend’s wedding at the Ivy House brought us here and we are so glad! The description of this home does not do it justice! This home is beautiful and is everything you need and more to have a wonderful time away from home. The location is perfect. A quick 5 min walk and you are downtown enjoying restaurants, shopping and sipping on drinks by the water catching up with good friends!!
Would definitely recommend this home and would stay again in the future!

Wow, it's a story book setting and the amenities are fantastic! Everyone has their own private bathroom and the communal spaces are just perfect inside and out. Great location, wonderfully clean and well maintained with easy and responsive communication. Do not hesitate to book this special property!

I always pride myself in finding the best vacation homes when my group of friends and I travel around the world. In the small, lovely Village of Saugatuck, this property didn't just meet our expectations. It blew them out of the water. All of the appointments at the home are wonderful and just as described in the listing and more.
Check-in was a breeze and we were able to begin our weekend getaway plans immediately.
The kitchen and outdoor grill were absolutely perfect. We ended up canceling our dinner reservations both nights and elected to stay in and cook so that we could enjoy the property that much more.
Accommodations for our group of three were more than perfect. We each loved having our own dedicated sleeping spaces and bathrooms including the extra powder room on the main level.
I cannot say enough about the Hansel And Gretel Cottage in downtown Saugatuck except for the fact that I can't wait to be able to return and stay again!

This was our 2nd time at this home, and it was as lovely as ever!! Adorable home with every amenity imaginable… perfect location, only 2 blocks to downtown… homeowner was so pleasant to work with… highly recommend!!!

My boys are grown so this was the first time in awhile to get my family on vacation and under one roof. The home was perfect. It had great separation for 3 adult couples yet a small feel for entertainment. We enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard along with the games provided for family fun. When you walk out and turn left there are stairs that take you right into downtown. Could not ask for a better home and location.
The owner even contacted us as we forgot our apple watches. You would think we are rookie travelers but believe it or not we are seasoned. Thank you for being honest.

Great house for family trip!
We had a wonderful time with family in Saugatuck and the house was set up great for everyone including one infant. It was a short walk into town and there was even a playground on the way for our little one to run around. The house is a quick drive to the beach as well. We would highly recommend this house for your family trip!

Perfect retreat
This was a charming little town and a perfect house for our ladies getaway! Everything was very clean and neat and it was wonderful to each have our own bedroom and bathroom. Would highly recommend this adorable house! It is within walking distance to town and in a quiet neighborhood as well.

This was one of the best VRBO properties I’ve stayed at since Operation Explore The Midwest started in 2020. My friend and I (she from Grand Rapids, me from Chicago) met here to escape for a long weekend and loved every minute. Perfect Weekend Getaway
A couple of friends and I stayed for a weekend girls getaway and it was absolutely perfect. Everything is within a few minutes walk or a 4min drive. The house is immaculate, very cozy and the kitchen is fully stocked. Also some great books on the bookshelf if you forget yours. Overall great trip, would definitely recommend!
