Huge house and property. Beautiful view of the lake. Everything you need is right there. Enjoyed our stay very much.

This home is a wonderful place giving lots of people lots of room! We enjoyed the pool and the large table. We were 13 adults and 11 children and brought lots of games to keep all occupied. We were hoping to spend more time on the lake but the water was so low that we broke the propellor on our second outing. The kayaks and canoe were too filthy to use. Our host was wonderful and very prompt in helping us overcome issues. The house needs a deep cleaning to get rid of spiderwebs and stains but it was clean other than that. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the children loved the children's rooms and the Golden Tee game.

This house has so much to do, whether you’re inside or outside. Unfortunately, for our stay, some of the rooms were not cleaned very well, and the kayaks were left dirty. We did take care of those problems ourselves and had a great time. Great house for a large group(we had 20) but it needs some TLC.

We are a small group of Senior Citizens who play Handchimes together. We fell in love with this beautiful "Southern Castle." We played like we were youg children in the pool, the lake and with games. We loved that we were all able to sit together for meals at the huge table. We loved the firepit and outside areas. We were completely in awe of the creativity and attention to detail throughout this beautiful home. We could feel the love radiating in every specially designed room in the houseand every family picture on display.
Very heartwarming. It was an awesome time with special friends that we won't soon foget. We really hope to be able to come back next summer to make more precious memories. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

The pictures really don’t do it justice. The grounds are incredible, and the weather was so good we hardly spent anytime inside. This is a private sliver of heaven on the lake, and just happened to be big enough to house an entire army.
Only note is that the WiFi was not suitable to work from on Friday, so a few of us had to go to the Starbucks a 15 minutes away. This may be less of an issue with smaller groups, as we had quite a few people logged in.
I want to come here every year! Thank you.

The property is large and sits directly on the lake - nice views. The pool is nice with plenty of lounge chairs and a firepit for evenings outside

This house had everything our group needed, from the pool, volleyball court, basketball court, and large kitchen with enough to cook for the whole group. Host was super nice and great to work with.

It was nice! My family really enjoyed themselves. Plenty of room for food and fun. The rooms were nice and clean. The only suggestions that I like to make are, please update the television, all the light switches need to be labeled because it was very confusing. The elevator didn't work properly sometimes. Sara was very friendly and well knowledgeable.

The space we plentiful for our 18 family members. Everyone had their own rooms and bathrooms. The outdoor patio and fire pit area is awesome. So is the Golden Tee and pinball games.

We had an amazing time at Da Casa Banana II. We had family members from ages 75 to 20 and they all loved it. The house had plenty of space and was very clean. Didn't have much luck fishing but we will get them next time. I will say that the cellphone signal is very week out there, but that made everyone focus on family instead of being on their phones. I highly recommend this location and we will surely be back!

The property was perfect. So many rooms and outdoor areas for a large diverse family. The pool was wonderful and the door alarms to pool area made everyone comfortable with the children. There would have been no better place The home is very private so the kids that were up and in the pool early were no bother to neighbors. Ms Sara was communicative and addressed all questions and made our stay seamlessly wonderful.

Held a family reunion with almost 20 people and this place was able to comfortably house us all! Great location. Communication with the host was incredible! Definitely would consider staying again in the future.

We love this lake house and all the amenities. The kids had a wonderful time, even though the weather was stinky. They found ways to enjoy the pool, the lake and all the fun stuff in the house.

Amazing views, perfect spot for fishing, the outdoor living space can’t be beat and the accommodations are top tier. A big thank you to Sara & her hubby, and to Angie, who were all very welcoming. We will definitely be back!

This was a wonderful property to stay at for a large family gathering. Lots of fun in the game room downstairs, and lots of yard space to play sports outside. The pool & hot tub were awesome as well.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was amazing, very unique, but perfect for a big family stay. We had 10 adults and 6 kids and it was plenty of room. The property is amazing for playing outisde in the big yard. Enjoyed the pool, hot tub, fire pit. We rented the boat and took it on the lake. It was great for any large groups looking to have a reunion and stay on property. The hosts were easy to work with and helpful and brought us over fire wood. Hope to be back.

We had an excellent stay! The communication and the neighborhood were awesome. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Property had a place for everyone no matter the age. The view was sensational and espectacular.
Cons- limited cellphone service, common areas were not perfectly clean and the exterior is very dark at night time.
We love it and planning to return.

We had plenty of space and a well stocked kitchen. We stayed for four days and did not need to leave the property.

This was our second time at DaCasaBanana for the Christmas holiday. The property has great spaces for family gathering, outdoor activities and even an indoor pickleball court, which was used nonstop! The property could use a deep clean and some updating - but generally good. Unfortunately this will be our last visit as our family has outgrown the space!

Our entire group had a fantastic time! We had a large variety of adults from varied states and countries that travelled in for our annual get together. The house is beautiful, layout is great, landscaping was nice, great view of the lake. Plenty of places to chill out. The theater room was very nice. The Game room and bar are fantastic. Many of us enjoyed the Firepit and BBQ/Grill area. Tons of parking. The outside gym was a perfect place to play bags and basketball. Plenty of refrigerators, many fireplaces. The response to issues was prompt and effective. Minor gripes were: spa/hot-tub was a bit slow to warm up, some areas can be very dark at night, after hours no lights outside on the driveway. Some fixtures like towel racks, shower heads and railings were more form/decor over functionality. Lots of cobwebs. Internet/Wifi (and Cell) is almost non-existent. Overall we were very pleased!

We were so thankful for a place large enough for our 20 and close enough (10 min) to the wedding venue. We had family from
Vermont, Delaware, Virginia and Georgia come together. The place could use some paint and some tweaking here and there but we looked past all that and saw all the fun and potential. We relaxed and enjoyed our time together and everyone had space! We even had room for more! Sara and Robert were on hand to help with anything we needed. What a blast we had. Oh WiFi is awful—but we really didn’t need it but once time (Sara helped with that) and oddly enough it would randomly work. It was good to be unplugged, sit by the fire and reminisce!

Property was as advertised and great for hosting our couple's retreat. Lots of things to do the entire weekend and the spacious bedrooms for every single party in our group was a huge plus. Owners were so nice at check in!

This vacation rental is very spacious and was perfect for our large family! The large kitchen and indoor/outdoor dinning areas accommodated our special meal time gatherings! Each family unit had their own bedroom/bath space and the adults and children loved meandering through the different "state" rooms. Indoor and outdoor amenities are abundant and there was something for everyone for sunny and rainy days alike.
The large dinning table accommodated our family not only for meals but for card games, while comfy chairs encircled a smaller round table, in the great room, perfect for all our puzzle enthusiast! The game cave beaconed arcade lovers to pin ball, golf, and shooting pool. Outdoors: ping pong, swimming, kayaking, and the large gym was open to family competitions for basketball, pickleball, and glow in the dark bowling and softball!
It was a great, long weekend, experience for our large family. Through the years, it's not often we've found the space to accommodate a family our size with all the great amenities this rental included!
Thanks to James and Denny Rutledge for sharing their wonderful lake home where sweet family memories were made!

Our family loved staying here! We had a very large group and all the couples had their own bedroom and bathroom, with two rooms left for cousins. Beds/bedding were decent and we enjoyed the themed rooms. AC great!
The kitchen is huge and having multiple fridges and dishwashers was great! The grill worked great and we didn’t have any issues with appliances. Plenty of dishes, pots, pans, and utensils, but we had to be a bit creative for serving bowls.
Our family loved the round table with the big comfy chairs around it. Perfect for games, conversation, reading, etc. With a few piano players in the group, it was nice having a piano available.
The game room and bar area was a huge hit! We watched a Seattle Mariner’s game in the theater so the big screen was nice for that. The video games, pinball machine, and pool table were another huge hit! There was a full fridge, sink, and ice machine at the bar, which was great. There’s even a half bath there.
The pool and hot tub were the biggest draw and we were not disappointed. We had so much fun out there!!!! Figuring out how to get the music on out there was a tad tricky, but we managed. The ping pong table and yet another fridge and bathroom were great to have close to the pool.
The pontoon was unavailable during our stay, but no one seemed to notice with so much to do at the house.
The garage was used some for basketball and pickle ball which was a good option for some of us.
There was plenty of parking and we were thankful that the entrance and driveway were well lit.
I only received a couple of negative comments about the house, so I’ll share them to hopefully be helpful to the homeowner and other guests.
1. There were no pool towels that we found, so towels were scarce. Bring towels with you!
2. The pantry shelves were pretty dirty. We wiped some of them down with Clorox wipes to feel comfortable storing food in there. The baseboards in the half bath off the kitchen needed to be cleaned.
3. Getting a hot shower upstairs was hit or miss. Some took lukewarm showers, but with the heat and humidity it wasn’t a huge deal breaker.
4. Two cockroaches were killed in the Georgia room and the cobwebs were pretty bad on the balconies. For being in the South, I was pleased with only seeing two in the house the entire week.
We had a great time and made lots of memories. Thank you so much to Deeny and especially Sarah. She is an angel and we were sad to say goodbye.

The property is huge, plenty of room for everyone. Pool and outdoor area were definitely the favorite spot to hang out. It was great to have a kitchen table large enough for everyone to share a meal and play games. The kitchen was well stocked too. The hosts were helpful and kind, we would definitely recommend!

In Need of Major Repairs/Landscaping & Photos Very Deceiving
We were a group of 17 ladies there from 4/28/22 to 5/2/22 . We chose this home b/c we would each have our own bed to sleep in. Shock was the first reaction we experienced when we drove into the front driveway. We thought this can't be it from looking at the outside front entrance. Overgrown shrubbery & the home looked like it was in need of repair; Many bees were swarming around the front entrance. Pictures on the VRBO website are very misleading. We realized those pictures are old & seem to have been taken when the property was in good shape & they are in the rear of the property. Many issues - Air unit out on 3rd floor on first night. Couldn't make it up to the 3rd floor all the way the 1st day b/c the heat hit us in the face on the stairs; felt like a sauna. Hot water issue in some rooms; musty smell in home; couldn't get TVs in some rooms to work including theater room; dirty shower curtains; dirty bed pillows; dirty balconies; dingy towels; some bed sheets were dirty; Hair on bathroom door; large spider webs with hair on bathroom door; red bugs & ants around top of hot tub; gazebo needs some repair; cobwebs, dead bugs on outdoor furniture & balconies; a couple of dining room chair legs were in need of repair; broken chair inside of movie theater; old seats/benches in theater room; furniture in home needs updating; front yard not landscaped; needs spraying for insects, bee; 3 car garage smelled like a barnyard; home dusty throughout; too many personal pictures; hand railing on stairs not secure/steady enough; gazebo needs landscaping, repair & paint; Backyard not landscaped; Wasp nest on patio; Holiday decor still out inside home; shoddy electrical wiring inside & outside in some places; dirty shallow pond in front w/brown water; Rotting wood on outside of property. There were some other issues as well, not enough room to write all. No instructions given prior about how to enter the home; Owner Jim offered to waive the hot tub fee for the air out on 3rd floor & said there was an adjacent cottage next door but he mentioned something about needing work did not take up offer on cottage; repairmen came out & replaced air unit part on 2nd day; Sent owners a list of issues we experienced & requested a partial refund; Owner Deeny offered only a $345 refund on 5/10/22 which still has not been received & is not enough compensation to account for all the issues with this home. They should not rent this home out until they fix all issues!

Great stay at Da Casa Banana2
Our stay was really great! The amount of space was perfect for our group size. The cell service was little to none, but overall it made for some good time disconnected. Some of the rooms had decor of large plantation homes or cotton and that was triggering for some of our travelers. Overall we had a wonderful time.

35th yr Friendship Reunion Weekend (R&R)
A group of nine of us celebrating 35 yrs of friendship at the lovely Da Casa Banana! We had so much space that we had spare bedrooms that went unused. We enjoyed the character of the house which had a fun individual theme for each of the ten bedrooms. All except one had its own restroom which made privacy easy to achieve. Several had balcony access which made it possible to sit out and relax while taking in the poolside & lakefront views. Other amenities we took advantage of were the basketball court in the “barn”, the pool table downstairs, the piano in the living room, the movie room and of course the pool, outdoor bar and BBQ grills (both gas and charcoal).
We had great communication from the time of booking, deposit, full payment, arrival, then durning and closing out our stay. First contact was Deeny & Robert (owners) and during the stay, Sara, Robert and Tyrone were right on point providing everything from directions to local businesses & activities to showing us where to gas the boat up.
Overall we had a great time and I would highly recommend this location with a home feel based on the quiet neighborhood, the sheer amount of indoor/outdoor space and reasonable price.
Thank you Deeny, Robert, Sara (superstar), Robert and Tyrone for your hospitality!

Great Getaway with Friends
The property is spacious and located on a beautiful lot on Lake Oconee. Our group enjoyed the ample kitchen space and the many areas to sit and spend time together. The outside amenities were amazing. Our visit was in February, and the weather was amazing during our visit. We so enjoyed time on the dock and especially our time around the fire pit.

Fantastic Celebration Weekend
Our weekend was amazing. It was the first time our blended family was able to be under one roof and enjoy each other. We celebrated 6 birthdays and were able to have room for all to enjoy. Weather was not our friend as it was a very cold weekend but the hot tub, entertainment room and game room were a huge hit. Thanks for assisting in making this a celebration to time to remember and cherish.

Christmas at the Lake
My family and I stayed at Deeny and Jim’s property and everyone had an amazing time! Sara and her husband Robert were very accommodative and responded quickly with any questions or issues we had. My only criticism would be that the property could definitely use a deep clean and maintenance. The property is HUGE and for our group of 28 we had more than enough room for everyone. However, because of the size of the property, a team of workers would be beneficial as there are outlets that didn’t work properly and some other minor issues we encountered. However, it was still one of the most memorable Christmas holidays we have experienced and Jim was very responsive and accommodating when we did highlight an issue we had. Overall would we absolutely rent again from
Deeny and Jim again. We would also love to see more upkeep and maintenance on the property. All in all, a beautiful time and experience!
