About this house rental
The Loon Cottage is a beautiful loft style one bedroom cottage with a stone fireplace overlooking the river. It has a queen size bed upstairs. Downstairs there is a queen size pull out sofa with a memory foam mattress. It has a full kitchen with a refrigerator/freezer, farmhouse apron sink, range, dishwasher, coffee maker, tea kettle, and microwave. There is a 39" HDTV with Directv satellite television.
On the outdoor deck there is a grill and dining table with chairs to enjoy summer grilling. There is a firepit with Adirondack chairs for enjoying smores with the family.
Luxury shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap are provided by Beekman 1802. The beds are made with fresh linens. Bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths are also provided.
Everything is prepped and ready to make your vacation relaxing and comfortable. Just bring yourself!

We stayed in the Loon Cottage and absolutely loved it! This is a great location, only a short walk or quick ride to all the restaurants, The property has many extras including canoes, grills, pool and a beautiful area for outdoor camp fires and lounging. The owners were quick to respond to any messages and always available for assistance, We would recommend The Ledges to any families looking for a perfect spot to vacation In Alexandria Bay!

Stunning property & marina on the St Lawrence Seaway. Clean & efficient units on large & spacious grounds. Spectacular views & scenery abound. The owners were easily accessible & friendly. Our unit was as advertised, with Dish Network TV, gas fireplace, all new exterior & interior. Spacious bathroom, fabulous shower, plentiful towels & washcloths. Kitchen was well appointed, outside grill & firepit with plenty of firewood & kindling.
Beautifully decorated grounds added to the total experience. Watching ships go by, shopping in town or just exploring the area & walking in town. Alexandria Bay, The Ledges, Boldt Castle made for one Excellent Vacation

We traveled up from Maryland to celebrate our daughters wedding at Boldt Castle (which you can see from the property) and were awe struck by the location and coziness of this cottage. Nick and Amy were very responsive to any questions that I had. We're looking forward to visiting again to explore the town more in depth.

Wonderful experience. Well equipped & cozy cottage with everything you might need. Lots of homey touches like houseplants, tea & coffee supplies, bonfire setup. We really enjoyed the beautiful grounds, ship-watching, sunset viewing, lounging in the hammocks, kayaking, and bonfires at night. Nick & Amy are wonderful hosts--very responsive and friendly. We can't wait to come back!

Great stay at Loon Cottage!
Loon Cottage is beautiful! Modern, clean with excellent views. There are plenty of windows that allow breezes to flow and a gas fireplace if the temperature dips. It was nice having a kitchen, fully equipped with everything. The bathroom is large with an amazing shower. The Ledges Resort property is scenic and meticulously maintained. I really enjoyed my four night stay.

Unexpected pleasure
Property was very attractive and extremely well maintained. Staff was very responsive to minor problems detected. Dave and Eric are very personable and hard working. They should come to Buffalo and teach hospitality training out here.

Perfect river getaway!
We enjoyed everything about our stay at the Loon Cottage. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Everyone working there was very friendly. The view was awesome (great for watching ships and sunsets). We used the outdoor fire pit every night, and appreciated that they always replenished our wood supply. The property is beautiful- there’s a ton of space to walk, and the landscaping is beautiful. We will definitely be back!

Escape from …….
Wife and I needed a break. Work, Covid, crowds. Read about Alexandria Bay an saw this on VRBO. Glad we did. Spent a pleasant get away in the Loon cottage. Totally relaxing. Cooked a few meals and ate on deck watching the boats go by and sun set. Built a nice roaring fire by the private fire pit. Place is worth staying at. Clean, friendly folks and quiet. Thank you Nick and Amy. Had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Looking forward to come up and stay there again.

The grounds and home were very well maintained. The adorable cottage was immaculate and the kitchen was extremely well stocked. We loved time on the private patio and fire pit just watching the boats go by. We hope to be back again soon!

A pretty place for a get away
We spend Labor Day weekend at The Ledges. It’s located right outside downtown Alex Bay. The property is really beautiful and the landscaping immaculate. The cottage is exactly as advertised, clean and comfortable. The only downside is if your looking for privacy. The cottages are close in proximity. It was a nice stay and I would recommend.

A little piece of heaven
The place was exactly as described. No surprises. Everything you need is right there. The one thing I missed was a full length mirror upstairs. The view is beautiful and if you are a ship watcher like we are you will not be disappointed. ABay is about an 18 minute walk. It was wonderful. No complaints.

Clean, comfortable cottage across from Boldt Castle
The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. There was a great deck and campfire ring right outside the door. I would recommend bringing flip flops for the shower. The river rock was beautiful but a bit painful to walk on. The property was an easy walk from Alex Bay, although there is plenty of parking at Uncle Sam's if you are taking a boat tour (which we also enjoyed).

This is an amazing cottage located on a private marina! It is exceptional! Chris, who checked us in, was so friendly and full of great recommendations! We really enjoyed chatting with him :) The owners have done a phenomenal job! Perfect placement of the cottages allows for breathtaking views and sunset campfires! Wow! What a gem!

The cottage was beautiful!
The Loon cottage was exactly like the photos. Very clean, newly furnished. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking, and the owners provided coffee, tea, and some snacks. The bathroom was very nice - spacious shower with rain showerhead, lovely bath products, hair dryer, and plenty of towels. The living space was cozy, and the fireplace was perfect for autumn weather. I highly recommend this place!

Lovely Modern Cottage, Ideal Location
Almost new, this 675 SQ ft loft style cabin was well designed and maintained. The bed and furniture was comfortable, the view of the St Lawrence was picturesque. Beautiful grounds were enjoyable for morning strolls with our dog. Close to all of the amenities of Alexandria Bay. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Good value as well!

Just like the photos: very comfortable, clean & modern cottage with deck and fire pit very close to downtown Alex Bay. Great pool and pretty grounds with gazebos. We enjoyed watching July 4th fireworks just across the river! The owners and all staff were courteous and accommodating both online & in person and welcomed our dog too! Highly recommend! Thank you for a great stay in Alex Bay!!

Great Stay at the Ledges
We had a great stay at the Ledges in Alexandria Bay. We stayed in the Heron cottage which had wood floors throughout, a full kitchen with top of the line modern appliances, dishware and utensils, living room with gas fireplace (house heat source) and a full bath with walk in shower on the first floor and a nice queen size bed in the loft on the second floor which overlooked the living room. The room also had its own outdoor deck with gas grill, patio furnature and a sweet fire pit to enjoy on cool nights. Everything was well appointed and the staff (Ainsley) was very friendly and responsive. The property allows pets (we have two small dogs that stayed with us) and it is always nice to stay with our girls in a beautiful place. The only improvements would be a closet or wardrobe to hang clothes (not usually a problem, but we were there for a wedding, so we hung my wife dress and my suit on one of the curtain rods) [note that there is storage via a dresser and some nightstands] and maybe a rug in the living room and near the bed in the bedroom, primarily so if you do have pets, you don't hear every step they take on the wood floors. The Ledges is really VERY nice and we strongly recommend anyone going to Alexandria Bay consider staying there!

Fun Couple's Getaway!
Just spent the weekend in the beautiful Loon Cottage. The Cottage is brand new, and well stocked. We enjoyed the fire pit overlooking Boldt Castle! The property is within walking distance to town but was really private which we enjoyed. The owners have thought of everything and we even were treated to delicious homemade cinnamon rolls upon our arrival, which was a nice touch.
