About this house rental
We have the few select true beach front settings for a condo available, this one would be on the A-list! Located on the sunny and dry side of Molokai, where all of the island's white swimming beaches are located, there is a not a reason to go anywhere else. Walk out of your condo, and you are steps away from 3 beautiful beaches with crystal clear ocean water, in shades of aqua and blue. Chances are you will be alone at your beach, as Molokai is not crowded like other island destinations in Hawaii.
This townhouse style condo is the largest one bedroom floor plan at Paniolo Hale, which means house of the cowboy in hawaiian. The designs of these condo's are steeped in the island's paniolo (cowboy) heritage. Classic designs, with screened in lanais, capture the trade wind breezes and the ocean seascape. These units face west, so you can enjoy the sunset setting over the ocean every night of the year, without leaving the comfort of your own lanai. Sleep to the sounds of the surf, and wake to the sounds of singing birds in the lush landscaped surroundings. These units are situated in a tropical paradise of heritage trees, and a mature landscape of tropical flowers. The canopy of trees provide a wonderful shaded setting, keeping the inside cool from the tropical sun. This is a combination that can't be beat, and there is no other like it, on the island.
Inside, you will find more than 1000 sq.Ft. Of living space, with one bedroom, and two full baths. There is so much more space in these units, as compared to other 1 bedroom or studio units. This is the only large one bedroom on the ocean front at Paniolo Hale.
On the first floor is a new luxury bath with a tiled walk in shower. This makes the extra queen day bed, in the living room, a viable option for additional guests. The condo can sleep 4 comfortably, and there are two full baths. The unit has its own washer and dryer, so you can pack light for your trip. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals at home. Why would anyone want to leave when they have the best location on the island! There are full size appliances in the fully equipped kitchen, and you don't have to miss the ocean view while you prepare dinner. There is a BBQ area close by if you choose to grill some fresh island fish, or grass fed island beef.
There is a beautiful blue tiled pool for those that prefer a pool to the ocean.
This is the ideal place to never leave. However, it is also the best place to return, after a day of exploring the islands many natural sites. Pour your favorite drink, and sit on the lanai, to offer a toast to the end of another day in paradise.

Great codo, quiet with a great view. Stayed here before and we have rented it twice for next year.

This is the middle unit in one of the few buildings on Paniolo Hale that have direct ocean views. We spent hours sitting in the lanai watching the ocean and watching whales on the distance. This was the best part of every day. The unit was comfortable. Both bathrooms had been remodeled recently and are nice. The kitchen worked well but I will say that the utensils could use an update. Has an old can opener from the 80’s that just needs to go and a toaster that could only toast 1/2 a piece of bread at a time.
But those are little things when you have the ocean, peace and quiet and beautiful west views. If you’ve never been on the west side of Molokai realize that there are no restaurants, charter activities, etc. When you come here you come for quiet time, uncrowded beaches, long walks and time for yourself. Just what we want.
The checkin was a bit challenging - we had been given information to access the wrong unit. We walked up to the unit we had info for and there were people in it. Knocked on the door - luckily the property manager for the unit we were supposed to be in was in the unit we had directions to so that got sorted out real quickly. Was a bit unsettling but just a bump in the road on what was a terrific trip and place to stay.
We’ve stayed at the Kephui Beach condos, been in a condo at Ke Nani Kai and like Panoloi Hale the best.

Condo immaculate, nicely furnished and well stocked. Just need a bag of groceries and turn the key. Beach visible 100 yards from screened in veranda. Beach is Monk Seal certified. Locals surf and snorkel on these beaches (ie safe but no lifeguards), however coral reefs are on south side beaches. Leave Lanai doors open and sleep to the sound of the beach

Great location.
The vary large damage deposit for this place is unwarranted and worrisome. Luckily we did get it back a few weeks after the end of our rental.
Bathrooms are updated and great. Washer/dryer great. Furniture and MBR bed aging, OK. Kitchen very badly in need of full replacement. Place was clean after we spent 2-3 hours cleaning it - has a good vacuum onsite to use. We bought the broom.

This was our first visit to Moloka'i and had a great stay. Clean, well equipped and spacious accommodations, relaxed atmosphere throughout the island and beautiful beaches. The screened in patio is a great place to relax and watch the waves, surfers and roaming turkeys.

This was a very nice unit that has an amazing view of the ocean from the lanai. No A/C -- it does cool down some at night but if you are not used to sleeping hot this may be an issue. My wife and I had two very big problems -- we checked in at 4:30p only to find the unit not cleaned from prior guest. The host originally said she could clean it the next day (so I guess we would sleep where that night -- it is Molokai) and eventually agreed to come out late to clean -- which forced my wife and I to sit in a bar until 10p until we could check in. Issue 2 was we were sent an email one evening telling us the power would be off the next day -- we had about 12 hours warning. We were never offered any compensation or makegood for either blunder -- so be aware.

Laid back and beautiful rental experience.
Breezy, beachside rental property. Our contact with other people was limited to seeing them at the pool or walking along the beach. Mostly we were observing wildlife to include birds, turkeys, deer and a monk seal that rested on the beach for 1/2 a day. Loved the condo and can not wait to go back!

First Class Condo
Beautiful condo, one of the best I have ever stayed in Hawaii in the past 30 years. Clean, comfortable, well appointed, everything one needs is comes with the unit and a great view.

Perfect location on a beautiful island
I love Paniolo Hale and the quiet enjoyment of ocean, beaches and tropical breezes! This condo fronts the beach and is the perfect location. That said, it could use a real cleaning and a little updating. And it is great for two guests, but the living room sleeping really doesn’t work for additional adults - maybe kids. Would love to return.

Great big deck with fabulous ocean view
The ocean view from the deck is hard to beat. We spent many, many hours on chaises reading or just looking at the ocean. Also, there is a small table with chairs on the deck and we enjoyed having coffee or fruit there.
Good quality washer and dryer, ample supply of towels.
We got helpful tips from the host.

Awesome
Our first time to Molokai - our accommodations were perfect! Very well equipped - had everything we needed. Spent tons of time enjoying the view from our lanai and the sunsets from here and 3 mile beach. Last coffee 😢 watching the locals surf!! 5 stars for sure.

Remarkable location, delightful accommodations
This was a perfectly delightful property. Quiet, with thoughtful amenities and very well cleaned. The property owners were remarkably responsive when we had a few minor issues during our stay. Housekeeper Ali is a gem. We hope to visit again soon. What a gift Molokai was to us. Thank you, Scott!

We loved staying in this unit. Great location.

The unit was very lovely and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The enclosed lanai and the view beyond it was the piece de resistance - sooo incredible - we spent most of our time sitting there! As we hadn't booked very far in advance we were unable to get a vehicle rental and so we ended up having to take a local bus into town to get groceries - It was during the Christmas/New Years break so the buses weren't running regularly and there weren't any taxis available to get us back, so we had to resort to calling the woman who we'd hired to drive us from the airport upon arrival - thankfully, she was kind enough to come and get us :)Kaunakakai (that little town we got stranded in) is half an hour away, it is very quaint and everyone was very friendly. Nobody is in a rush to go anywhere so it has a very laid back energy. The terrain in the area where we were staying is very interesting. Although there were many beautiful plants, trees and flowers on the property, there was also a real dry, desert like look about it.The ocean was pretty choppy while we were there, so although we did most of our swimming in the pool, we were entertained much of the time by the surfers riding the waves. All in all, a great place to relax and unwind.

Lots of space and gorgeous beach.
We really enjoyed the condo. The beach is gorgeous, but not suitable for small children. A very good value! Unfortunately our I phones wouldn't download the house info in pdf form when we were on Molokai, so be sure to print that our ahead of time.

Fabulous location...beautiful landscaping, cozy condo. Too many interior roaches and a little furry critter in the bedroom.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Poor cleaning, cockroaches, mice feces and very nasty management
We have stayed on Molokai before, like the place, and arrived in the evening to find the Paniolo Hale grounds attractive and well kept. But, when we opened the door to unit F2 we were greeted with an odor of rancid bacon grease, plus a trace of urine. In the kitchen utensil drawers we found lots of mice feces, and the source of the urine smell. The stove top was just filthy with grease, and that was the source of the bacon smell.
On lighting the living room up, we found dead cockroaches scattered about with more plus two half dead centipedes on the upstairs carpet. Exiting to the porch, (which very nicely faces the ocean as the photo shows), we found a dozen spiders, with webs on the furniture. The beds however were recently made, and the sheets seemed to be clean. The bathrooms appeared to have been recently tiled, and except for the dead insects were reasonably clean. It being late, and not having anywhere else to go, we decided to spend the night and figure it out in the morning.
At about 9 AM we called Scott Worner, (the realtor who with his partner Chad Slayton manage the place). Given we had rented the unit through Worner, and he had specifically told us the unit was well cleaned after every rental, we suggested he come over and see conditions for himself. He claimed to be off the island, but asked we send him photos of the mice feces, dead roaches, broken lamps and other problems we were describing. We sent him a dozen photos, and on his first texted reply he blamed the condo's owners, then a new cleaning person under his hire, then he without knowing us at all, texted we were "people who can never be pleased", which most definitely is not the type we are.
The next day however he did send around a housekeeper who turned out to be pleasant and honest, and agreed the place was a mess. She explained the cleaners try their best but the manager would not pay for any real cleaning and a lack of that is what caused the uncontrolled mouse and cockroach problem. A problem so bad, that at 2 AM one night my wife stiffened in bed, yelled out, then start flailing her arms about her face. She had awoken to find that a live three inch brown cockroach had found its way onto the sheet and was crawling up toward her face.
STAY AWAY until this unit has different management. That is, one that reliably performs on their sales type phone promises to have the units they manage properly cleaned and insect and vermin free BEFORE you arrive

Molokai Time
This was our third trip to Molokai but our first time staying on the west side.
The view from the picture is exactly what you get when you open the doors.
We really enjoyed our stay at Scott's condo it is stocked with everything you
need. Lounging on the Lani was increditable the view and sounds of the waves
crashing on the shore had you totally relaxed. The pool and the other people staying
there made this an amazing holiday. Our next trip back we will be staying at this condo.
Thanks
Grant

A true Hawaiian paradise
This beautiful, well-maintained property allows you to have a front row seat to one of the most picturesque beaches on the West part of Molokai. The two-story town home is comfortably furnished, with a spacious oceanside lanai (screened!) that is perfect for some serious relaxation. The kitchen is well-equipped with coffee maker, dishwasher, blender, pots & pans, spices, ice maker. There are two full bathrooms, one on each floor, a washer and dryer, and a wonderfully comfy bedroom with ceiling fan and screened windows for an insect-free cross-breeze. There is an onsite pool, ample parking, and two outdoor gas grills in front of the unit. The manager, Scott, is super responsive and friendly. Mahalo for having us as your guests. We can't wait to return. Aloha!

Absolutely Awsome Condo!!
Super location, best view in Hawaii, wonderful condo, nicely furnished, clean and comfortable, super bathrooms with awesome showers, can't say enough about our stay at this location, we have rented condos on all of the other islands over the last 20 years and this is by far one of the nicest, great running and walking trails too, quiet location for a true Hawaiian getaway.

Great location, comfortable property
Our HomeAway was a condominium situated on the west coast of Molokai. It had an excellent location within the complex, with views across the former golf fairway to the ocean and sunsets, as well as, the soothing sound of the waves. Our unit was spacious, the bedroom was generous and the bed was extremely comfortable. Several upgrades had been done - downstairs bathroom, carpet on the stairs and upstairs hall, stove and microwave. The kitchen was well equipped for meal prep which is important because you don’t go to Molokai for gourmet restaurants. One thing that seemed to be missing was beach chairs, which would have been nice to take to the waterfront to view the sunsets. As we were arranging our rental, Scott Warner was very responsive and made the process go smoothly.
While we found the condo enjoyable, we would like to see the landlord pick up the pace on the upgrades, for example the wood floors would be even more beautiful if they were refinished. It would be nice to see the upstairs bathroom upgraded to the standards of the downstairs. Also, while the furniture is all structurally sound, it might be time to start refreshing it. We do want to stress that none of these things would prevent us from recommending it as a place to stay. We liked the quiet location and great view of the ocean. Let’s hope the golf course never reopens as all that space would become off limits for enjoyable, scenic walks.

Beautiful Location, Lovely Condo
This unit is a ground-floor rental with a view of the ocean from the enclosed lanai. The condo has a well-equipped kitchen, which is a necessity, as there are few restaurants on Molokai (and none in the vicinity of the condo), and the best food is likely to be the food you cook yourself. The unit is two-story, with a very comfortable king bed in the upstairs bedroom. There is another bed downstairs for overflow. The lanai is one of the most attractive features of the condo, as the louvered doors open up the entire downstairs to the trade winds and the sound of the waves. Paniolo Hale is beautifully landscaped with shade trees and tropical flowers. There is a handy outdoor gas barbecue near the unit. It was very quiet while we were there--the only human sound we heard on a usual day was the sound of happy kids, which is fine with me. There were plenty of birds to watch right from the lanai. Scott and Chad were helpful and friendly, and have lots of info about the island. One word of caution; the water here can be extremely rough and dangerous. It may be more peaceable in the summertime, but in winter it is dangerous to swim here. We especially enjoyed meeting the people of Molokai, who are incredibly friendly and kind. Molokai is undeveloped, unpretentious and real--and we loved it.
