About this house rental
The cottage is freshly built and is nestled away in the back of a property located in one of the Point Reyes village rural neighborhoods. Taking the raised pathway to the house, it feels like you have entered your own secret garden and are far away, yet you are less than a mile from downtown Point Reyes village and shops. Without getting back into your car, you can walk down the easy back trail right into town.
Immaculate kitchen with huge granite island that spans the great room for easy cooking, conversation, and Netflix movies. Blender, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and French coffee press, wine and other glasses, all dishes, pots & pans. Fridge and sink provide filtered water. Fridge icemaker and water easily accessed on front panel. Two beds: a new queen in the bedroom, twin daybed in the living room.
Large covered front porch for morning coffee or spectacular sunset views over Inverness Ridge - rain or shine. House is surrounded by grass and gardens with views all around. It sits near a former seasonal pond that is long gone, but still the ducks and birds fly around the yard as if they remember. The sunny location allows for enjoyment of the outdoors year-round. Sitting on the porch, or in the hot tub, under the black and starry night sky or watching the winter storms roll in are experiences that will ease your mind and enliven your senses. Having the comforts of WIFI and phone will keep you connected while finding yourself in the beauty of a small village.
The house is completely independent from the other dwelling on the property and is set apart with zen-like privacy screens. Guests have their own parking space. Smoking and pets are not allowed. House is located just 3.5 miles from the Point Reyes National Seashore visitor center where you can get information regarding the beaches, bay, lagoon, estero, forests, meadows, wild life, birds, creeks, rivers, trails. Lighthouse just 30 minute drive. Close to fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, hiking, wine tasting, photographing. Experience the wilderness beauty - rolling green hills and ocean cliffs with sunshine sparkling on the water and dramatic sunsets.

Very spacious kitchen.
Bed was very comfortable.
Wonderful location, so close to town.

Very nice private cottage and good location for a get away to Pt Reyes. Easy walk to town and easy drives to beaches and hiking and restaurants. Cottage was clean and quiet in a neighborhood away from traffic. Being able to walk to town on a ‘hidden’ pathway was a plus!

Lovely stay. Surprisingly large cottage with lots of privacy and quiet. Very clean. Was able to read and write undisturbed and then take breaks by walking into town. I recommend the buffalo milk ice cream you can pay for at the market’s checkout line and then pick up at the cheese counter. Great communication with the owner. A perfect getaway rental for individual or couple.

This was a wonderful private stay yet minutes from restaurants. It is a bird paradise. The cottage has everything to make a stay comfortable- full kitchen. I am not computer savvy and could not operate the TV or WiFi or hot tub but the beauty of the property and proximity to trails kept me busy. GREAT PLACE TO SIT AND READ.

Cozy, quiet property, close enough to town or a nice walk, but just enough away to feel pleasantly secluded. Clean, comfy, very enjoyable stay. Made it easy for our trip (doing some research in conjunction with UC and NPS projects).

Spacious, quiet, comfortable cottage with well stocked kitchen and all the amenities you need. Walked to town via the adventurous path. Enjoyed several hikes in the nearby area with a soak in the hot tub at the end of the day.

We’ve stayed at this gem of a cottage before and we will return. It is always extremely clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The location is convenient to the great outdoors and Pt Reyes Station. When we want a get-away to the ocean, from the mountains where we live, we will return.

Very clean and quiet cottage, perfectly located near town. Host was very nice and it felt very private for being on the same property. Loved the hot tub in the evening under the stars. Great pizza place in town too!

Nancy was a great communicator and we loved the very private cottage in the back of the property. Location was close to downtown with easy access to highway 1. Good Wi-Fi, amenities, and the hot tub was great. A wonderful way to spend our 2-year anniversary!

The cottage had everything we wanted plus a spa. The owner was a wonderful host.

The property is in a quiet and pleasant area, with quick access to the beautiful natural spaces in Point Reyes. The place is well kept, and the inside is clean with new appliances and a wide variety of important amenities.

This was a lovely and roomy cottage in backyard with hot tub. It had a private and spacious feel in a big backyard. The owner had quality products (e.g., shampoo, good olive oil) that showed attention to detail and not the "I removed everything of use left from prior renters" approach.
The only thing that hampered communication was the two factor authentication required by One Key VRBO software (e.g., to alert host we were checked in and happy) so host made sure to check with us the AM after check in.
Back trail to town let us take short walk to Point Reyes Station dinner without having to use Hwy 1.
Great bakery, saloon, store and food in town

Two birding and hiking friends greatly enjoyed this cottage/house. Exceptionally clean with plenty of room and a yard with visiting birds. The hot tub was such a relaxing way to end a day of hiking. Walking distance to shops and great food. Lovely stay!

What a wonderful property for peace and quiet. It's an enormous space both inside and out. Take the local side trail into the village to pick up some quickie groceries or snacks. Go on your walks or hikes and return and relax in your private outdoor spa. Also a great place for bird watching! And your hostess Nancy is available whenever needed.

This was a delightfully peaceful location. The garden is beautiful, and the only thing I would add, would be some more comfortable seating outside to enjoy it. The cabin was very well appointed with everything that we could need.

My friend and I stayed at the property for a few nights at the beginning of our trip to California. The cottage and very clean and in a quiet neighborhood. I would recommend for anyone who wants to explore Point Reyes

Nancy's cottage was quite comfortable and a perfect place to unwind (our stay in Pt. Reyes Station was work related). The location is very quiet.

We enjoyed our stay at this relaxing cottage, surrounded by a garden at the back of a property. Our host was wonderful. The cottage was roomy, with a full kitchen and comfortable queen sized bed. We enjoyed walks into Point Reyes Station, to visit the book store, cafes and shops. A very short drive to the National Park, and easy scenic drives further up the Marin coast to the tiny towns of Tomales and Valley Ford.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. Nancy was very helpful. The check-in/check-out instructions were clear, and she left a detailed binder with notes about the cottage and local area, including how to find the walking path to town. The cottage is comfortable and clean. The area is quiet and peaceful, and the cottage feels very secluded. The hot tub was great after a long hike! We'd happily stay here again.

Very nice, convenient and clean! Second stay.

This is a comfortable cottage for a short stay. The kitchen had adequate supplies for cooking simple meals, the queen bed was comfortable , the pillows were only adequate and better quality pillows would be a plus. If the property owner wants to encourage recycling some info on what can be recycled and how it should be done would be helpful. We like recycling but were unfamiliar with the recycling rules for the area. Including them in the house manual would be helpful. We would definitely consider renting this property again.

This is a quiet gem of a home with a wonderful kitchen island to cook and share a meal.
The grounds are well maintained with roses just out side the front door. Outside a meandering path is discretely lit to guide you at night.
Rooms have playful decorative touches and comfortable beds. Finally, if your are actively hiking and active, the hot tub can really relax sore muscles.

Nancy's cottage was a wonderful place to stay while visiting Point Reyes. It was close to everything, quiet, private, clean and comfortable. The hot tub can't be beat after a long day of hiking.! Nancy was a great communicator and left a booklet explaining how to use the hot tub and how to find the secret path into town. Would absolutely recommend!
