Emigrant Peak's 10,915 feet of beauty is framed by the window in the den. It rises in the distance and provides the perfect setting for a stunning sunset with a fantastic view of the mountains. Eight Mile Creek runs through the property attracts bald eagles and osprey as they hunt the creek for fish. Once you settle in, take a stroll to the creek and dip your feet in or sit and read to the music of rippling water. Children love to play in the cool refreshing water in late summer. You can oftentimes see pronghorn antelope grazing on the bluffs across the road and mule and whitetail deer frequent the property year round.

A welcoming fire pit provides the perfect setting for reminiscing about the day's activities. We have had many travelers who have told us what a find this place was, not only for the location but for the price. One couple even called it a 'diamond in the rough.'
Mountain View Getaway is centrally located in Paradise Valley, just one mile from the Yellowstone River, famed for fly fishing and scenic and whitewater rafting just minutes away in Gardiner, Montana. Horseback riding can easily be arranged at nearby ranches. There are many hiking trails in the valley as well as in the park. This superb location is 30 miles north of Yellowstone National Park, 20 miles south of the quaint little town of Livingston, and two miles north of the historic town of Emigrant, Montana. It is also 10 minutes from Chico Hot Springs Resort, The Old Saloon (known for summer concerts), Sage Lodge with its stunning views, the Outpost for a casual quick meal, Follow Yer Nose BBQ, all outstanding restaurants. Music Mountain, another popular music venue, is 15 minutes away as well.
The rental is on the second floor of a decorative barn, which never housed animals. It is located on Old Yellowstone Trail North, which was originally cited as a buffalo trail, then Trail Creek Road, and then under the current name because it served as the stagecoach trail to Yellowstone National Park after the park opened and before a railroad spur was built to the park.
Emigrant Peak is framed by the living room window where you can sit and relax after an adventurous day in nearby Yellowstone National Park. The cabin's theme is wildlife: moose, deer, bighorn sheep and bison adorn the walls and linens. The large private bedroom has a queen-sized bed and huge closet with washer and dryer, and the living room couch easily folds out into a comfy queen-sized sleeper. The full kitchen and bath have everything you need to make your stay feel just like home. Most guests enjoy the cozy feel of the cabin and extra special personal touches provided by the owners who will do everything possible to please their guests! You won't be disappointed.
The biggest attraction, Yellowstone National Park, is a beautiful 34-mile drive from the cabin. The drive south down Highway 89 places you at Roosevelt Arch, the northwest entrance into Yellowstone National Park. While traveling, you will likely see more wildlife not to mention the majestic peaks of the Absaroka/Beartooth mountain range to the east and the Gallatin range to the west.
Within 5 miles of the cabin is Chico Hot Springs, which is a year-round resort with two hot springs pools, an exquisite dining room and a family friendly grille. At night, the Old Saloon hosts various local bands featuring a mixture of genre to satisfy your musical choice. The Yellowstone River, a short mile away, boasts some of the best fishing for rainbow trout. Or, if you like, you can float the river! The mountains in Paradise Valley have numerous hiking trails -- but don't forget your bear spray! Paradise Valley offers many adventures and Mountain View Getaway is located right in the middle of all it has to offer. Adventure in Paradise awaits!

This cabin not only has fabulous views of the mountain range, but is a delightful place to hang out after a day of adventures. It is very clean, decorated nicely, comfortable bed, and has a cozy feel to it and is stocked with everything you need. The owners live on the property not far from the cabin but they are very respectful of your privacy. In fact, it was an advantage because I was able to get more insight about things to do and places to go from Melody which was very helpful.
Check out the BBQ place and the bakery in Emigrant, Chico Hot Springs for a day as a guest to soak in the hot springs after a day of hiking, and of course it’s not to far of a drive to Y Stone North entrance by way of Gardiner.

Melody left the outside lights on for us which was very helpful and welcoming. We were able to sleep in and then enjoy coffee with a beautiful view. The Old Saloon is about 3 miles away. They serve a tasty breakfast. Next, Chico Hotsprings for a long soak. The cabin was relaxing for an early evening nap. The cabin is perfect!
We were celebrating our 9th anniversary. Looking forward to many more visits!
Thank you!

We came and stayed at this cute little cabin for 7 days. Everything was clean and well stocked. The property owners were so nice and gave us great tips to get us started on our Yellowstone journey. The property is about 50 minutes from the Bozeman Airport, 35 minutes from the north entrance of Yellowstone, and about 25 minutes from the town of Livingston. There was a cute little creek running through the property and Yellowstone river was close as well. When you arrive, GPS takes you down a very rough road but the owners were great and told us an alternate route to the house ahead of time. Also, you may want to bring your own pillow. The cabin had plenty but they were a little firmer than what we are used to. Otherwise, this vacation was a dream and we are already planning to come back to this same cabin next year!

Well appointed and positioned for adventures in and around the valley, the Mountain View Getaway certainly lived up to its name with a panoramic view of the mountain peaks to wake up to, and served as a great home base for our family to return to after a day enjoying all the area has to offer.

Home on the Range!
Although it was brief, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the farm. The owners are very friendly. The house was clean and has everything one would need. It’s close to Livingston and the park. The smoke from all the wildfires obscured the view, but it was beautiful nonetheless.

Great stay at this beautiful guest house. Wonderful view of the mountains from the living room. Our host, Melody, had it stocked with everything you need. New favorite home away from home
The experience we had while staying at this property was above and beyond our expectations. After a crazy day stuck in the airport the hosts offered to come pick us up if our rental car fell through. Thankfully it did not but the generous offer had us at ease before we began our long evening of flying. Due to COVID we postponed our honeymoon till this year and were pleasantly surprised to walk into a thoughtful gift we can use for years to come to remember this trip. This was a quick easy drive to Yellowstone where we spent most of our time but in the evenings we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet with the stunning view of the mountains. We ended our experience to a quick walk down to the creek on the property and it was so nice to soak in the scenery before we left. I would recommend this property to anyone staying the surrounding area. Thank you again for your generosity and kind words while we were there and a beautiful place we will never forget!

Wonderful place to stay
This property is as advertised. I have spent many a night in rent by owner places; this place was super clean and comfortable. We did not cook at this one, but this kitchen was well stocked with every type of pot, pan, or utensil anyone would need. The creek behind your place is so peaceful and relaxing, thank you for sharing it with us. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a peaceful, out of the way location. I was a little concerned about being on the same property as the owners house, but those concerns were unfounded. We had complete privacy.

Super cute with amazing views!
My family had a great time here while visiting Yellowstone! It was so nice to have so many things so close (restaurants, gas station, Chico hot springs for the pool, the river for fishing, etc). Extremely clean, very nicely furnished, comfortable, loved having a washer and dryer, and did I mention the views!? OMG! Beautiful and just the best. THANK YOU for sharing your beautiful place with us!

Melody and Gene we cannot thank you enough for taking care of everything we needed for our stay! The memories we made as a family are priceless and it was so wonderful having this little slice of Heaven to call home at the end of each day. We cannot wait to return again soon.

A wonderful place to stay!
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights while exploring Yellowstone. It was about 30-35 minutes to the North Entrance. The place is very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We have a wonderful time and the views are amazing!

Amazing getaway
Totally amazing little cabin. Amazing panoramic view of the mountains from outside the living room window. All the kitchen accessories you need, plus some board games and coffee amenities. Super close to some great restaurants, bars, general store, Chico hot springs, and only 1/2 hour from Gardiner (north entrance of Yellowstone). My boyfriend had allergies so didn’t do so well with the carpets and thought they were slightly mildewy but this went away when we rolled the carpets up and put them into a closet. Lots of bugs and wildlife of course, as it is Montana.

Perfect couple or small friend getaway spot!
Private house within a close distance to Yellowstone National Park. An upstairs unit, so you'll need to walk up one short flight of stairs, but inside is a small, but clean and cozy sanctuary. The view is INCREDIBLE and the unit is stocked with all essentials you'll need. There's all kitchen supplies you could think of (pans, utensils, silverware, etc), a couch and easy chair, cable TV, a washer and dryer, and a comfortable queen bed in a separate room from the kitchen/living space. My husband and I stayed and had plenty of room and could find everything we needed. There's also a lovely outdoor BBQ and seating area. The place is very quiet and we were completely undisturbed for our whole stay. The property owners respond quickly if you need them and they left great information about the area for guests as well. Would definitely recommend this place and can't wait to visit again in the future. Thank you!
