About this house rental
Welcome to the Victorian Rose at Blossom View Cottages. We are located in the historic railroad district, less than half a mile from OSF, theaters, Plaza and Downtown.
VICTORIAN ROSE (2 BDRM-2 BATH-Sleeps 6)
Let this beautiful cottage in a historic home fill you with a sense of comfort and luxury. This 875 square feet home has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. A queen sleeper sofa in the living room can sleep another two people (or use the queen air mattress instead). One of the bedrooms has an attached bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second bathroom is newly renovated and has a combination tub-shower and the expansive kitchen is fully stocked to cook elaborate or simple meals. Enjoy your coffee/glass of wine in the separate dinning room, on the front porch overlooking the garden, or simply step out to the many neighborhood restaurants and cafes. A private back porch affords additional quiet reading or dining space while looking out into the surrounding garden.
There are a few steps (2/3) to enter the house, but once inside all living areas are on the same level. Park on the property and walk to the local interests and the fabulous restaurants just steps away. We provide fine linen and towels for the use of our guests. Books, spanning a range of genres, free internet/wifi and cable TV are provided as well. Ashland Food Co-Op is less than five minutes away if you need to pick up groceries or additional supplies. A famous local coffee house and landmark restaurants are just steps away.
The Victorian Rose was built in 1901, in the Folk Victorian style. It is on the National Register of Historic Homes.

Great location, charming cottages with lovely amenities and outdoor spaces for relaxing. Walking distance to all attractions, restaurants, and theaters. Well-equipped and clean. Highly recommended!
8.0
No complaints about this listing. It's a quick walk to the theaters and shops. Nice neighborhood. Very clean and well stocked. We would stay here again. I suggest the owner hire a gardener to maintain the front and back yards. The trees and bushes are overgrown and in need of water and the lawns are mostly weeds. Most neighbors here have beautiful yards so they would probably appreciate this as well.

Very conveniently located house for everything in Ashland! Challenging to find after dark but once found, getting in was well explained and easy. Generally clean but has a well-lived in feel. Good place to stay if you're going to be mostly out and about in Ashland.

The property was in a nice area with off street parking and located within a short distance to shopping and restaurants and events. Manager was prompt with an answer to a question I had. Cute landscaping with outdoor seating to enjoy our stay. Generally clean. It could use an easy chair in living area.

I love Ashland and the house was walking distance from all my favorite haunts. Nice outdoor seating for coffee and breakfast in the morning, comfortable seating inside. What’s not to like.
8.0
Pleasant little cottage with all necessary amenities. Walk to theatres somewhat longer than imagined, but thoroughly safe and through nice neighborhood. Front deck comfortable. Back patio rather basic - more comfortable chairs with cushions would be better. Also some more pruning of the plants around the patio would make the area larger. Generally a very enjoyable stay.

This is a clean, comfortable, sweet cottage. In the heart of the Railroad district with all it has to offer. Also an easy walk to downtown and Lithia Park. I stayed in February so did not take advantage of the front porch, but it would be fun to hang out there in the summer and say hello to the people passing by.

Lovely home
Nice little house with a lovely front porch and small garden.
The interior is a bit dark and there is some noise from upstairs occupants in the front bedroom.
The small en suite bathroom in the 2nd bedroom is very convenient.

Great place to stay in Ashland
We enjoyed this two bedroom house in the heart of Ashland. It was walking distance to restaurants, the Shakespeare festival, coffee and shops. The house was well stocked - spices, aluminum foil, laundry supplies and other basics which are needed for a short stay. Property manager was responsive. Highly recommend.

Charming cottage, quiet street, excellent location
This lovely home is perfect for two couples. The beds and other furniture are very comfortable, and as was sitting in the wicker chairs on the front porch and lawn. It was an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go. The kitchen could use a few more basic utensils.

Nice, Clean, Convenient
The apartment comprises the ground floor of a two story house. It is an older home with some charm, meticulously updated and in excellent repair. All appliances and the bathrooms were in excellent condition and worked well. One small exception is the refrigerator, which made a lot of noise (indicating potential compressor failure in the fairly near future). It has two good bedrooms with comfortable beds. Well located (for those who are able to walk easily) for attendance at OSF. Highly recommend!

Couldn't be happier
We were extremely happy to arrive after dark and finally finding the house to see a super nice, very complete lodging with everything we needed for a great time in Ashland. The Noble coffee shop down the alley was a great discovery and the Picadillo bike shop across the street was a real score since part of the reason we were there was to do some mountain biking. We had no idea when we booked that we would be in Ashland "central" We walked to all the restaurants and in-town adventures. Thanks for a tremendous introduction to Ashland!!

Spotless. The cottage is adorable and exactly as described.
Property manager was very responsive, helpful and infinitely patient. It was a long day driving for us and in retrospect, had we had a little more patience and not been so tired, we wouldn’t have needed to contact her at all. Absolutely charming, well-equipped - lovely. Great neighborhood. Thank you!!
