Dogwood Cottage is a cozy single level home just a few short blocks away from charming downtown Black Mountain's shops and restaurants with a quaint mountain town feel. Newly remodeled in 2016, this two bedroom two bath house has hickory floors, stainless appliances, and granite counter tops. The covered front porch and glass rear sun room are great for having your morning coffee or enjoying relaxing in the evening while visiting the front porch of Western North Carolina.
The master bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom has three twins and both rooms are furnished with flat screen tvs. The master bath has a double vanity and shower and the second bath has a tub/shower combo. The entire house has a clean, bright feel to it with a game table that can seat 2-4 and dining table with seating for 4-6.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything that you will need for your stay including coffee station and large pantry for dry goods and the pleasant living space is a great place to read a book or watch a movie with all the comforts of home.
Dogwood Cottage is managed by the Johnson family who's private home is right down the street and we are there to make sure you have the best stay possible.
Dogwood Cottage can be rented in conjunction with the Johnson Carriage House VRBO # 778559 which is also on Beech St.

Perfect place for the four of us. Walking distance to town, quiet neighborhood, and clean! We wended up eating more meals at home due to the fact that it was such a nice atmosphere rather than a noisy restaurant. Thank you!

Dogwood Cottage was just what I needed for a long weekend in Black Mountain. Perfectly sized, wonderfully decorated and upgraded, this house was an easy walk to the farmer’s market, Montreat and downtown Black Mountain. The kitchen and baths are in excellent condition. And, the owners are super helpful if you need anything. I would definitely keep this charming house on my list for a return visit. Thank you!

It was one of the best VRBO's we have stayed out. We really appreciated the extra coffee's and soaps. It was a clean and well manicured property. Our children loved the side yard!

We loved the house and area, I can't say enough about the area and how friendly everyone was. Owners were very responsive and came to help us with a small electrical issue after a big storm. Yard was manicured and I finally got to see a bear close to the yard our last night. I would've liked a dry mop or carpet sweeper to clean a little but thats just me. Thank you for everything!

Dogwood Cottage was a perfect getaway in Black Mountain. The house is within walking distance of downtown, which has a many cute shops and restaurants. There is also great hiking in the area. The house was clean and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. Definitely would stay here again.

This was our 3rd time staying at Dogwood Cottage. As usual, the outside was well maintained and the house lovely. The yellow chairs on the front porch are most welcoming. The kitchen and dining area are especially nice and quite spacious. The home is very clean and well decorated. The neighborhood is quite nice and close to downtown. If you choose to rent this property you will not be disappointed.

Thank you so much for letting us stay at this beautiful cottage in Black mountain. We found it it’s as advertised and so much more. Home was adorable and well equipped. We mostly only ate breakfast in so we had everything needed from coffee station to full size kitchen and they thought of everything. Beds and recliner were aboveboard. Clean with marble counters. Really close to downtown although never walked it. Did site see in area and would love a place here. Guess I’ll be coming back.

The Dogwood Cottage was perfect for a gals get-a-way weekend. It was located within an easy walk to downtown, close to amazing restaurants. We ate at Fresh Wood Fired Pizza and Pasta 3 times! We also enjoyed an amazing dinner at The Bush Farmhouse. We supported many of the local shops, which there are many great retailers in Black Mountain. It was a great weekend, and The Dogwood Cottage was the perfect place to stay!

We really, really enjoyed our stay here. The house feels bigger in person than the pictures show and is very comfortable for a family. We loved being able to walk into town every day. We are walkers so enjoyed walking to Tomahawk Lake, as well. The host was very gracious. The beds were comfortable. And there were fireflies and bunnies each day. It was truly wonderful and we would love to return. Great place!

This is our second time staying at Dogwood cottage and it remains our favorite place to rent. We stayed for a week and it was perfect for our family of four. The cottage was so clean, so well stocked, exactly as described on the website, and the owners were very easy to communicate with. We cannot wait to return next year. We cannot recommend this place enough!

The cottage was well appointed with a fully stocked kitchen, extra towels, pillows and blankets. Located on a dead end street there was minimal traffic. Enjoyed watching bunnies and chipmunks enjoying the backyard.

Great little cozy cottage. Very convenient and quiet location. Very close to all the things to do in downtown Black Mountain and surrounding area. Very quick and easy access to I-40. 20 minute drive to Biltmore. Very well equipped with everything you need. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

This was our 2nd time staying in the Dogwood Cottage and everything was perfect! Our family of 5 fit comfortably with plenty of room to spread out. The beds are super comfortable. It is so nicely appointed and had everything we needed during our stay. The coffee and tea station was popular with everyone. The proximity to Downtown Black Mountain, nearby hiking and Asheville is super convenient. We look forward to staying again!

I stayed here for a long weekend with my husband, daughter and her fiancé. We all loved it. The host was very responsive from the beginning to the end. The cottage was comfortable, extremely clean (and I’m picky about that) and well outfitted, from the linens to the kitchen supplies. The location is within walking distance to shops, the lake, etc. I highly recommend.
