Great floating home with stunning views and convenient location. Comfortable accommodations, well-equipped kitchen, and peaceful surroundings. Perfect for family getaways!

This property is stunning. The views at night of the city, beautiful. The rocking of the houseboat and seeing of the seal right out our window was awesome. Close to everything

We had a perfect stay in the North Vancouver float house! It was a great location for a visit to the Capilano extension bridge and visits to Stanley Park. Staying in a float house was a really special experience we will all remember.
5.0 / 5.0
Everything that was promised, nice to have a separate bedroom for privacy. 2 bathrooms with amazing shower pressure. Can’t say enough about the views to see the city of Vancouver. It was fun to watch the floathome go up and down with the tide. Very little movement. Gated community was a nice touch for security.

Staying in a float home was a fun and unique experience and doing so in Vancouver’s beautiful setting was even more special. This home was in a great location, close to restaurants etc and well outfitted including use of kayaks.

This was a truly remarkable experience. The floating home is peaceful and located in a cute neighborhood with beautiful views. We saw sea lions, fish, and moon jellyfish from the front window. The seabus to downtown Vancouver is a short and scenic walk away. Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is about a ten minute drive. The house was in perfect condition and the communication was incredibly detailed and helpful! I've stayed in a lot of short term vacation rentals, and this experience is definitely top of the list. I highly recommend and am so grateful for our time in this floating home!

We had a lovely time in our floating home in North Vancouver. The place is small but very comfortable. It is well equipped and has a beautiful view. It is so convenient to be a short walk to the Seabus. Beds were so comfortable and the area quiet and safe. Highly recommend.

Stay was awesome. From booking, checking in, and checking out. Kris was very prompt replying to any questions we had.
The area is very quiet, calming and relaxing. It is very close to the sea bus, and bus transportation. Numerous restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Simply a great location.
The check in process can be a little overwhelming at first. You have to locate a lock box for the key, you have to pass through a secured parking lot which had no attendant to ask any questions, you have to find the gate to enter as it is a secure access to the float homes (which has a number code and at first seemed to be a hit or miss, but worked fine for the duration of the trip), and there is a code to the main entrance to the float home and a key to the unit. Once we checked in, this process became routine and was fine. Plus, walking the Spirit Trail eliminates the parking lot and gates which maybe locked. We did not have a vehicle, so did not need to use the parking lot at all.
The only recommendation I would have is issuing more than 1 key. We were two couples, and the unit has only one key, which became an additional challenge with orchestrating individual outings. I did notice that the door to the unit has a keypad, so implementing use of this would eliminate this issue. A second key could not be issued according to the information binder.
Overall, a great experience and I would return to this property and recommend it.

The Float Home was a perfect base for our stay in North Vancouver. Safe, secure, and the views were unbeatable. It was a perfect place to unwind after a busy day.
It was an easy walk to the restaurants and activities at the Quay. I was so impressed with all the amenities at the float home, and we took full advantage of the kitchen, dishwasher and laundry to keep our family of 5 going for the weekend.
Thanks so much Kris! We would stay here again 100%.

Rented both units for our adult family of 6. This was our 4th time staying here and we’ve already booked to come back!

Great location - 10 minute walk from the Seabus terminal and the attractions and restaurants at Lonsdale Quay. Well appointed unit, with all the needed conveniences. The highlight for us was being able to push the windows and screens back to expose the spectacular view of the water and sailboats from the living and dining-room.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The float home is located in a beautiful Marina in North Vancouver. The float house rocks very gently and is only noticeable when you look out the window. We found it so calming and relaxing. The view of the boats out the window was stunning. Lots of wildlife were around, a great heron fished off the dock every day, and a harbour seal would swim outside the living room window every night. We can't wait to come back again, and bring our children with us next time because they would love it.

This was such a cute and fun little stay. Something definitely different that’s well worth it! We are so glad we booked at Ocean suites, staying on a floating home in this small kind community of folks. Seeing sea lions, star fish, experiencing all the niches the marina has to offer. A short stay with our kiddos, so fun! The place is well kept and very informative. Plenty to do around you, short walk to the seabus to get downtown, shipyard fun. It was amazing!

Our family stayed at the float home and had a really nice time. The hosts assistant (Kris) was super nice and responsive. The directions to get in were easy, the place was clean, and we slept 4 pretty comfortably. Little tight, but we were expecting that. The only noteworthy item is that there is a separate flat upstairs that has a separate family…this was in the listing but we missed it so be aware. We got lucky with our neighbors. Overall neighborhood felt very safe and it was fun watching the boats. We had a seal mom and pup that would swim by every evening once the sun went down which was quite entertaining for us. Overall great experience!

Well this place is certainly something different but absolutely worth it. I am so glad we stepped away from the standard rental. Everything was easy from start to finish, and we had a lovely stay. It is close to restaurants and bars and everything is in walking distance. And super peaceful too. Loved it. We even used the kayaks. Honestly it was excellent.

Had a great stay. Property was unique and had very nice views. Easy walking distance to Shiptard district and Lonsdale Quay. Reall good restaurant selection!
4.0 / 5.0
Clear, easy to follow instructions made our check-in process a breeze. The floating-home was spotlessly clean, inviting and very comfortable. We were greeted by starfish feeding on the neighbouring floating-home and a seal giving birth on the jetty. Sadly, the pup was stillborn. The floating-home was very well equipped with cooking utensils and toiletries. Enjoyed the ebb and flow of the tide, the stunning views and the comings and goings of the marina. Very pleasant short walk to the SeaBus, Lonsdale Quay Market and restaurants.
Only negative was the rowdy neighbours on the upper deck of the floating-home.

Such a relaxing space with an amazing view across the marina from the living space. Really light and airy as well as being well equipped. Directions and
access were good and easy to follow. It was so easy get accross to south Vancouver on the ferry and lovely to look over at the city from the north shore. Great place. We would definately recommend ut.

Great little spot, easy access to the Sea Bus to get to downtown. Only thing I'd say was A/C would have been nice for the hot weather but other than that it was great

My teen daughter, dog and I had a lovely New Year's stay on the houseboat. We had everything we needed. A great dog-friendly pub was nearby. The property manager was readily available for questions.

We loved this North Vancouver property. It is new, well maintained, and very clean. It is within easy walking distance to the Seabus and restaurants at The Shipyard. Because the house is on the water, I was a bit worried that it would be cold when visiting in December. But with heated floors, this was not at all the case. We were warm and cozy. With the Murphy bed and coach, our family of four (with two young adult sons) slept very well. Thank you for a great winter holiday!

We had an amazing week staying in the float home. Communication was great and it is an amazing location to experience another side to Vancouver. Would definitely stay again. Thank you

Staying in a house on the water is great fun! The marina felt very safe, and the views out of the windows and on all our walks were outstanding. I highly recommend staying at this property for a great location combined with comfortable accommodation.

Four of us (adults) enjoyed our stay at this adorable floating home so much that we are already planning our next visit!
The house has a great view of the Marina at all hours of the day and night and it seemed not at all unusual to have a few ocean critters swim by for a visit which was fun!
We had absolutely everything we needed including a well equipped kitchen, in house washer and dryer and comfy beds! Communication with our host/Mgmt was perfect and the neighbours while curious (rightly so) were super friendly, welcoming and helpful.
We found the location made it very easy to get around as we were a five minute walk from Lonsdale Quay and from there we could get absolutely anywhere!
Loved this place!! Five stars all the way!

Right on the water. An adorable little house floating gently on the waves of Burrard Inlet at Mosquito Creek. A short, pleasant walk to a plethora of sights, restaurants, coffee shops, market shops, pubs, and quite North Shore living. Close to the ferry accross the inlet to downtown Vancouver and all it has to offer.
To me, this is the ideal location to discover the Vancouver area.
Admittedly, the process to access the unit was as complicated as a bank heist. But the practical realities of the location rendered that completely necessary.
Communication with our host was top notch! Kris was very kind and welcoming.
100 thumbs up!

4 long-time senior friends got together for our annual Get-a-Way and enjoyed the ambience, nautical theme, close proximity to the Lonsdale Quay and Restaurants--but mostly the different exxperience of staying at the marina and enjoying the view..

The boathouse was exactly as described and better looking than the pictures. Kris, the host, was very communicative and responsive.
We had a family reunion and rented the entire boathouse. Unit 1: Family from California. Unit 2: Family from Calgary. It was great having the 2 separate units for the extended family. The location was great with restaurants, cafes, a public market, and the boat bus all walking distance from the boathouse. The area is super dog friendly. Our little yorkie mix staying in unit 1 made a lot of Canadian friends!
The house boat does rock a little, but we got used to it - part of the charm. We hope to come back some day!
