Medano Beach is wonderful for swimming and sunning and many other activities such as parasailing and snorkeling, but you will be tempted to stop at one of the two gorgeous pools or five hot tubs on the site. Or, you might choose to go into the executive fitness center for a workout or the spa for a jacuzzi, steambath, or sauna. Or you can just hang out at the pool's swim up bar and restaurant and let yourself be pampered by the friendly, expert personnel.

Our Villa was beautiful and had a spectacular view. The kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable. Our host responded in a timely manner.

Outstanding family getaway!!!
Exactly what we needed as a family! The condo was perfect in every way! Everyone had plenty of space, plus the balcony was perfect for meals & hanging out (maybe a few naps too). We shopped at Walmart the first morning & bought groceries, snacks, beverages for the week(make sure to remember your own shopping bags!!!). Used the grill a couple of times for dinner. Used the blender for breakfast smoothies & poolside beverages all day. Played card games at night (great selection of games in the condo). My husband & son golfed one day (arranged on our own ahead) & my daughter & I went parasailing (arranged on property w/events coord). We ate out dinner 3 nights at recommended restaurants by owner. Only had a reservation for 1 night & didn’t really need it. Walked to The Office along the beach (sand was a little rough on the feet & walked back through town). It was very good & fun but personally I prefer less of a crowd. Ate at La Golondrina & would recommend (ceviche & pescado Acapulco were great). Best & most affordable was La Gardenia!! Must go for fried fish tacos! Also make sure to order ceviche, fried shrimp stuffed chile rellenos, shrimp tacos, grilled octopus tacos, asado quesadillas, ……
We loved hanging out by the pool most days & were pretty lazy, but that’s exactly what we needed! The resort is quieter than others we’ve been to & I really appreciated that. If you are looking for a party & entertainment stay at one of the other 2 properties.

Absolutely Fantastic
Great property, very clean and convenient to the pool and beach. Felt very safe on the grounds. Family of 5 was extremely comfortable in the condo with plenty of room for everyone to spread out with the patio being a great place for breakfast in the morning and grilling for dinner a few nights.

Top Quality! Priceless Views!
This was our second time at VLE, and first in this unit. 1202 is a wonderful location with amazing views of Lands End. The photos don't do justice - the unit is beautiful. We would return to this unit in a heartbeat.
This set-up was perfect for our family of 5. We took advantage of the fully furnished kitchen and enjoyed breakfast and coffee on the lanai every morning and soaked up the views. Highly encourage the easy trip over to Walmart for essentials.
Our kids enjoyed the VLE pool, swim up bar and the chairs at the ocean. This location is absolutely great and an easy walk up the beach to the Office, Edith's or the Marina. Be sure to try the mangoes from the beach vendor. They are unreal!
I would recommend renting a car, which you can do onsite via Hertz. Super easy to get around. Jump on Highway 19 and get to Cerrito Beach for the day with waves like I've never seen, yet safe for swimming. You will not regret it. Likewise, an easy ride up Highway 1 back to San Jose del Cabo and some amazing restaurants. Las Guacamaya's is a must. Likewise for Flora Farms.
Kevin was great to work with and very helpful with recommendations and transportation suggestions.

Location! Location! Location!!
We have stayed at Villa La Estancia many times. This unit is by far the best location
of any of the 2 bedroom units we have rented. It is the second unit from the beach, directly overlooking the pool, the ocean, and an unbeatable view of Lands End. We hope to return soon, and often. We highly recommend.
The staff at Villa La Estancia is most welcoming and go out of their way to make your.
vacation the best. We were greeted everytime we returned from shopping, dining or just touring by a warm and sincere "Welcome Home". If you are on the fence about traveling to Cabo, don't be. It is wonderful.

Absolutely perfect trip!
We stayed here 12/16 - 12/23 and everything was perfect! This was our third trip to La Estancia but our first to this unit. The location of the unit couldn't be better as you are steps away from the pool and the beach AND you can sit on the patio and still feel like you are on the beach. Additionally, the beds were sooooo comfortable. The owner Tom was fantastic and so helpful with all information. We will definitely stay here again.

What a fabulous stay we had!
This was our third trip to La Estancia, but first time in this unit and it was our best stay yet! The owner was fantastic, sharing information and making sure the unit was in tip top shape. The location and view of this unit can't be beat! We loved the proximity to the beach and pool but the best was being able to read a book right on your own balcony and feel like you are sitting next to the ocean. And the beds were extremely comfortable. We will be back for sure.

Amazing View, Great Condo - Excellent Vacation!
This condo unit came as advertised by the owners and as described in the previous reviews. I am very fussy and did not end up having any concerns with this unit or the resort. The unit was clean, comfortable and did not have the dank odor that many hotels and condos in a humid climate tend to have.
The grounds are immaculate, pools and hot tubs are extremely clean and well maintained. All of the staff were very pleasant, polite and welcoming.
Kevin was very quick to respond to all of our questions and provided helpful information about the resort and Cabo in general. I cannot see how anyone would be disappointed in staying in unit 1202.

Incredible view and location
This is the best location of all villas! It has incredible views from the balcony and it is right above the pool. The resort has everything you need (spa, gym, pool, staff that is amazing, restaurants). If you don't want to leave the resort you wouldn't have to. There is a market/deli/ice cream shop across the street (5 minute walk from the villa). The front desk will help with anything you need. We had 4 adults and 3 small kids in this villa comfortably. The kitchen is fully loaded. We made a trip to Walmart ($9 taxi), bought $200 worth of groceries for breakfast and lunch for the entire 8 days. We went out to dinner every night (Bella California, La Dolce, Los Tres Gallos, La Casa country, the buffet with entertainment next door) or had a personal chef (cabo chef services). Everything was absolutely amazing about this villa and resort. We moved from this villa to a penthouse just to experience it. It was amazing as well. This was a great resort for kids. We went to the hotel next door for a change in pools (it has a slide that has sharp edges). We bought some blow up toys for the kids at Walmart for $7 that was a big hit. We went shopping downtown most days and had some great finds. We went horseback riding, got braids in our hair, rode Seadoos, took a glass bottom boat to Los Arcos...all from the back of the resort. You can arrange it yourself or have the hotel do it for you. I didn't find a cost difference. If you speak spanish use it! Everyone will appreciate it!

My husband and I had an absolute wonderful stay. The villa is gorgeous, beautifully decorated and over looks the pool and ocean. It’s perfect for a couple, or for the whole family to enjoy. The resort and the resort staff are amazing and treat you with the best service. You are steps away from the beach and a quick cab ride into town. We would highly recommend staying at Villa La Estancia in Villa 1202. We can’t wait to go back!

Exceeded our expectations
Very happy to have chosen Villa La Estancia and Villa 1202 for our stay in Cabo! The Villa had plenty of room for 7 girls, was spacious and very clean upon arrival. The location was even better with the Villa being right above the pool and had amazing views of the arches. The hotel was walkable to the beach bars and a short ride away from the downtown bars. The staff at the hotel was extremely friendly and made us feel more than welcome. Our group felt safe the entire time we stayed at this resort. Kevin was super easy to communicate with and book this Villa through. We really appreciated all the recommendations and advice he gave us. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations and we truly enjoyed our experience at Villa 1202 and Villa La Estancia. I highly recommend this property for anyone visiting Cabo!

Villa location was great!
We have stayed at VLE several times. This particular villa was a winner. Great location on the property with an amazing view. Kevin (owner) was always willing to help or offer anything we needed... though we are pretty low maintenance.

Great Vacation, Great Place
All photos are designed to portray a property in the best light and quite often the place wasn't quite what we'd imagined. In this case it wasn't either-it was much BETTER! The photos do not do it justice. From the moment you walk in you are impressed by the size, layout, and presence of the Villa.
The Villa has separate entrances into larger areas. Entering to the right you walk into a huge combination great room and kitchen area that to the back leads out to a spacious balcony (where we spent much of our time) that overlooks the pool area and has an excellent view as shown. There is a large screen TV (although other than the Super Bowl we did not watch it) in the sitting area and I think a DVD player and sound system. Off of this area is the enormous Master bedroom area.
The Master bedroom area consists of a large bath with double sink, a whirlpool tub, ample closet space, a wall safe, sleeping area with a king size bed, a 42" or so TV, a mini-refrigerator and a couch and table. From the bedroom is an exit to the balcony.
The kitchen area is well-appointed with all the appliances silverware and cookware that you will need should you choose to do some cooking.
Turning to the left upon entering the unit is is a separate bedroom with almost the same layout as the master bedroom except it is smaller and does not have the whirlpool tub, nor the couch. Instead there are two double queen beds, ample closet space, another wall safe, another mini-refrigerator and 42"TV. To the back is another entrance to the balcony. The locks on the bedroom doors can be configured to open both with one key or need separate keys.
An impressive pat of the unit is the balcony with ample seating, a gas grill, a wet sink and yet another refrigerator. We spent every morning drinking our coffee and most evenings having dinner and drinks on the balcony.
This is an outstanding unit!! All residences are privately owned so although it is the middle resort in a three-resort complex, it was always quiet at night, there were always ample chairs and towels for the pool and the crowd was much less of the party-hearty crowd one might associate with a timeshare. Another plus was the swim up bar in the heated pool area.
Normally we don't give rave reviews, but in this case it is justified.
On a closing note, Kevin, one of the owners, was great. He promptly answered all questions we had and his guide on what to do and expect was an immense help.

Wonderful Villa
What a great and wonderful Resort and Villa. The staff was very helpful and attentive. This was my first trip to Cabo and I was so glad to have selected villa 1202. I hope to return next year and I will work with the owners who were so helpful for this past vacation.

Awesome stay in Cabo
We loved our stay at La Estancia in Cabo. Our room was beautiful and had everything we needed for our 5 nite stay. Our villa had an awesome view of the pool and ocean. We enjoyed having coffee on the veranda each morning. We appreciated the fact that we could enjoy the pool at the Del Palmar along with ours. The location was convenient to walking to town which we did each nite for dinner. We also rented a car and the valet parking attendants were super friendly and efficient. We hope to make this an annual fall break destination.

What a sweet spot!
Would highly recommend this beautiful Villa! The location is the perfect property over looking the pool and Sea of Cortez. The facilities are kept immaculate and the staff is so friendly and efficient! The Spa was top notch with professional staff and a wonderful facility! You need to treat yourself to this special place! Downtown Cabo is also close by.

This unit at Villa Estancia is beautiful with the perfect layout for a family. The grounds were beautiful. Location is great with amazing views. The pools were perfect for all ages. We loved the location of Villa Estancia in relation to town. It was easy and convenient to catch a van out front for a quick ride to shops and restaurants. The owner had great recommendations for all the fun things to do and see in Cabo. Thank you!!

I'll start with the good stuff - the space is a true condo, with plenty of kitchen necessities & nicely furnished. Views from the patio overlook the main pool and glorious Sea. The pools at Estancia are gorgeous and our kids (7 and 8) loved them. The beach is steps away and incredibly swimmable. There were always ample lounge chairs on the beach. Next trip, we would purchase boogie board or tubes for the kids upon arrival (WalMart is a close cab ride). Our kids also enjoyed the kids club at Palmar and we used a private sitter twice, who we adored. Spa at Del Arco is a must. Finally, the unit owners provided a fantastic detailed "cheat sheet" for Cabo and unit.
Now for some downsides - The concierge was useless (Open Table was better). She didn't seem to know the area and was perplexed when asked the simplest questions (e.g. any suggestions for dinner off-resort?). When we asked if she could help with reservations at El Farallon (which I HIGHLY recommend), she said it is often booked and likely unavailable. When we pushed her to please try, there were reservations for 5:30 or 9:30 most nights. We took the 5:30 spot and it was a highlight of the trip.
The tour desk (where you are sent for golf/excursions) was only slightly better. They were nicer but directed us to limited options (with kickbacks, perhaps?) For example, we asked to play golf at Cabo del Sol, but they told us they "don't have a relationship with them" and we had to pick from 3 other places. One was Cabo Real which was fine, but we were able to get into Cab del Sol on our own online.
It was quite crowded (spring break/week before Easter) and often hard to find space/chairs around the Estancia pool. Sunny chairs often filled before 10AM as people reserve them with towels at 8. It seemed there were more college partiers than families staying at Estancia, although we never had a noise problem (we are boring 40-somethings with kids). The Palmar pool next door has a fast, fun water slide the kids loved, but had even more college kids and was always over-crowded. We were told Estancia has pool reciprocity with Del Arco, the property to the right, but apparently it was pulled recently (it has lovely pools, but we got in trouble for using them before we found out the reciprocity had been revoked). Lastly, having a W/D in unit was clutch (however, the dryer took FOREVER, even with the lint trap cleaned).
Nice place (although we found $500/night high compared to other units).

We have been to Cabo 5 times, by far this is the best place to stay. Working with Tom was so easy and a pleasure. the location of this Villa is amazing large enough for two families. We loved this villa. Probably my favorite VRBO rental I've ever stayed in. Gorgeous property and the villa was beautiful and maintained very well. The terrace was a lovely space to sit and relax and have a margarita or glass of wine and enjoy the amazing views. Kevin was very helpful in planning our trip and answering any questions we had. Will definitely be going back again some day and staying in this same unit!

We got back last week from our trip to Cabo, and definitely plan to go back. I would only stay in villa 1202 again. Everything about it was perfect. The location is incredible, with the most gorgeous view imaginable. Sitting on the terrace was heavenly. The décor is beautiful and tastefully done. Everything about it was first class. We didn't cook, but the kitchen has everything you'd need. The housekeeping staff is excellent and the villa was immaculately maintained. I can't imagine anyplace we could stay that would top it. Also, Kevin is helpful and easy to deal with. I'd recommend it to anyone except someone disabled.

Our girls weekend at La Estancia was absolutely perfect. Kevin was extremely helpful in booking our stay and answering all of our questions promptly. He went above and beyond anyone I have ever rented a property from. La Estancia is a beautiful property with courteous staff. The villa has amazing views and is completely equipped with more than you need for a vacation plus more! (full kitchen, laundry, outdoor grill). We did not have the all-inclusive package and instead stocked up on some essentials to keep for in-room snacks. Perfect! The property is a 5 minute taxi into town or a 10-15 minute walk on the beach to The Office.

Our trip to Cabo San Lucas and stay at La Estancia was everything that we had hoped it would be. The facilities and grounds were spotless and employees were very tentative to making our stay an ideal vacation. The villa is in a great location with a wonderful view of the Sea of Cortez/Lands End while also overlooking the pool. We didn't spend much time indoors but the furniture, beds and linens were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and we used the grill on balcony several times. Our family loves warm weather beach vacations and this was the best one to date. We felt totally safe the entire time at the resort or in town. We were there during college spring break and our two sons (20 and 25) were able to enjoy themselves at Mango Deck/The Office/etc. My husband and I spent a lot of our time at the pool and also on the beach in front of the resort. Need to be on the beach to enjoy the sunrise but well worth getting up to see. The owner of our condo gave us a list of suggestions for restaurants, transportation, shopping, etc that was extremely helpful. We ate at three of the recommended restaurants and enjoyed each one. The owner made everything very easy for us and there were no surprises. We loved it and want to go back!

Loved our stay! Great condo with everything you could possibly need for a wonderful vacation. The view and location of this condo sets it apart from the rest, you could sit on the large veranda all day just taking in the view of the ocean. Location is ideal, you can walk to town (15 minutes) or get a short taxi ride to just about anywhere. Villa was well equipped with all the appliances and tools one could need to prepare any meal!
Excellent communication from the owners. Check in and out was a breeze. Service at the resort is top notch. Concierge was very helpful arranging dinners and golf.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We were 3 young couples in our 20's who traveled here for vacation. The hotel and villa were beautiful, clean, safe, and accomodating. The hotel was close enough to down town and the beach parties but just far enough to get away from the party scene. We enjoyed our quiet mornings at the pool lounging around and have having cocktails at the bar. The front desk was always quick to get us a taxi down town when we were ready to join in the parties. The Villa was well equipped with everything we needed and the free in room wifi was a plus. Kevin was easy to work with and we enjoyed the document he sent us with travel & dining tips while in Cabo. We would stay here again & highly recommend it to others!
