Lovely place in a wonderful part of Asheville. It has loads of character, and has everything you would want. It slept 4 adults very comfortably, and even the futon sofa in the living room was comfortable. The listing was accurate and we really enjoyed our stay.

My girls and I really enjoyed our stay here this summer. The neighborhood is quiet and is great to just walk around and see the historic properties. Many places are a quick drive or even walk away. James has made this apartment very inviting and comfortable and clean. We would 100% come back to stay here to see more of Asheville.

The unit needs some loving. Dirty air vents, cobwebs on the windows, felt unclean. The second bedroom has no door and is part of the kitchenette, which is not equipped for cooking a meal. Tiny sink and fridge, old toaster oven. It has a cupboard dedicated to pots and pans but no stove top. The main bedroom is comfortable and spacious. For the price I did not feel like we got our money's worth. Have to be honest. I reached out to the hosts after our stay pointing out some of the issues but did not receive a response. I would not recommend this place to my friends or family.

Location was perfect and the space was clean. The owner has put a lot of care and thought to what big and small details will make the guests stay more comfortable. I would recommend staying here for anyone looking at traveling to Asheville.

Small group of friends …music and food and Asheville vibe!

This spot is great for east access to downtown allowing you to skip the parking and traffic. James was a great host in touch with us upon arrival with recommendations. The home is older with a lot of Montford character. Just what we were looking for as we explored the beautiful neighborhood. Perfect place for a quick trip to town. We will book again!

It was perfect us. Girls trip weekend and this apartment was perfect. I did NOT pay attention to the details and did not realize there is no stove or oven so I packed food to cook. It’s a kitchenette with a microwave, a toaster oven and a mini fridge. Totally fine for the weekend and so many restaurants in walking distance. Also I didnt Have to cook so it worked out haha. It’s an old home so expect old home quirks. We both thought it was charming, clean and beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location within walking distance (1 mile) or cheep Uber to the bars and shops of Asheville. Ate out every meal as the kitchen was small but that fine by us. Two great restaurants right around the corner we might not otherwise experienced. Would book again for our low maintenance group of girls.

Convenient location to just about everywhere. Montford is an old established neighborhood with lots of charm. The house is old. A steep staircase accesses the apartment. Like the other reviewers, we found the king bed super comfortable. Plenty of towels. We didn’t need to cook, so the kitchen was fine for breakfast.
A few comments about some overlooked cleaning items. The bathmat in the tub was mildewed, the drip coffee maker had moldy grinds still in it, and a water bottle was under the couch.
We were charged for an extra person (our adult son), when the description advertises accommodations for 4. Don’t understand that
one. We were 3 total. Our final night the noise and bass beat music from downstairs lasted until 11:30. The next morning, the owner told me we should have banged on the floor. We did. It was frustrating.
The WI-FI was a little touchy if too many people were on it at once,
Overall, it was satisfactory.

The unit wasn’t the worst, but it did have some flaws. We found some dog food that had been missed by the cleaning crew on the floor. One night the hot water did not work. But it was a good location and a pretty cute unit.

This property was cozy and the bed (in the master BR) was very comfortable. The kitchen was a little difficult to navigate, as both the microwave and the cord for the overhead light were hard to reach. These are small details which did not take away from our overall satisfaction.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We have stayed in the Asheville area many times and this was the most affordable and convenient location yet. We were able to easily drive and ride share everywhere we needed to in the cold weather and if it was summer, we definitely would have walked to downtown. The hosts were responsive and had everything we needed in the home. Directions were clear and the space was larger than expected. I would recommend anyone to stay as long as they are ok with s large flight of stairs on the way in.

Quaint little upstairs apartment, perfect for a couple or maybe 3 adults. We had our infant with us as well and the space was just fine for us. Perfect neighborhood for walking downtown or to some breweries. Great communication from the host. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Asheville.

This apartment was so perfect! There were just 2 of us but had plenty of room for more! It was clean and quaint and check-in was so easy. I love the neighborhood and the walk to downtown is lovely and not far at all.
I would definitely stay here again while visiting Asheville!

Yep Yep Yep Yep
A charming old home in a historic neighborhood. A lot of thought went into creating the guest space and James (the host) was as accommodating and caring and friendly as he could be. And let's just talk about that bed, shall we? Man, I'm going to have to find one of those mattresses. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Perfect location for downtown activity and great neighborhood
We couldn't have chosen a better location. The master bed was AMAZINGLY comfortable and HUGE! Didn't spend an abundance of time there as we were in town for a specific occasion and were in and out. The locals were super friendly and great restaraunts within walking distance. Felt safe and at ease. Would definately rent again and highly recommend!!

Nice Asheville home
Our stay was good here! It’s definitely an old, creaky home, but I think that’s as expected in Asheville for the most part. Amenities were good, bed was comfortable, and the location was pretty accessible. We had everything we needed here!

Great historic neighborhood
Really nice owner. Interesting accommodations. Very old with slanting floors but nicely unique. Master bedroom was super comfortable and large. Smaller sunroom bed shares coffee and access to kitchen. Small kitchenette as advertised so as long as you aren’t cooking meals it is sufficient.

Perfect location
Awesome accommodations in a beautiful neighborhood and James and Alex are great hosts that will take care of you. Don’t miss the opportunity to take a short stroll over to Nine Mile restaurant and have one of the best meals Asheville has to offer. Around the corner, All Day Darling is a great coffee and breakfast spot. Location is perfect for those hitting Salvage Station or Rabbit Rabbit or any of the breweries. Best tip for enjoying your stay in Asheville? Ditch Uber and Lyft. Call AVL taxi company. They operate like the big boys but they show up in 5 minutes and they’re 1/2 the price.

Clean, Cozy, Friendly, Perfect Location
This super-comfortable crash pad is a great spot after a day/night of this most charming mountain town. The location was ideal, and an excellent value. While this unit shares a building with downstairs residents, the privacy remains uncompromised.

Great location!
I loved the location of this house. It was within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The shower leaves a bit to be desired however the bed is the most comfortable thing I have ever slept in. It's perfect for a couple traveling or 4 people planning to spend most of your time out and about.

Quaint accommodations in a great location
We arrived at almost 10pm and one of the hosts heard us and greeted us so we didn’t have to fumble with the key box in the dark. This was a pleasant surprise. The main bedroom was very spacious with plenty of room for suitcases and other things. The bed was giant and comfy. We were pleased to find a whole coffee bar (we had brought our own bag of coffee), including coffee and creamer. This was a nice touch, as well as some basic toiletries in the bathroom. The kitchen was well-equipped (note that there is no stove or sink) with plates and cups and utensils, and the toaster oven was a perk!! We walked to the grocery store and it took us less than 20 minutes to get there. The sun room in the back was nice for morning coffee. The house is older— some updates have happened—but this did not bother us at all since we live in an old farmhouse. The location is superb as it is a 15 minute walk to downtown and about 30 minutes to the River Arts District!! Check out Nine Mile restaurant on the next block and the little bodega on the corner. The hosts were great, quick to respond to communication, and accommodating!!

Fantastic stay on a cute street.
This location was a fantastic home base for our long weekend in Asheville. No kitchen sink or appliances other than a fridge/microwave, if that's something you need. Bed was gigantic and very comfortable. The street the house is on is so cute, and All Day Darling is a fantastic cafe that's just a short walk away.

We enjoyed our short stay here. The King bed was very comfortable.

This property is located in the cutest neighborhood. It is so close to everything we wanted to do. Easiest check in, good parking but ya'll...the bed was just comfortable. We did miss having a sink in the kitchen, some late renovations to the unit happened between the time we booked and the time we stayed. It would not prevent us from staying again. Quaint and lovely!

Great Asheville Getaway
We enjoyed staying in Montford for an Asheville get away. We booked almost last minute and found a place close to downtown. It was very clean, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. Our hosts helped us find good restaurants and a website to the waterfalls we wanted to visit. Check in and communication was easy.
