This adorable and comfortable log cabin was in a perfect spot - close to tubing/kayaking, beaches, all the best up north towns, Platte Lake, etc! Check in was super easy, cabin was clean, didn’t need anything while we were there, but the owner had all their info if we had needed them. There were plenty of beds, a well stocked kitchen, and a nice fire pit for s’mores. Would definitely stay again!

We found the place to be perfect for what we were looking for. The cabin was clean and kitchen well stocked. Peter was always available.

We just got home today from a long weekend at this great place.
The host is very responsive, the place was spotless and well equipped, although no AC or accessible washer & dryer, which for us was not a concern as it was perfect weather and it was a short stay so no laundry was needed.
We enjoyed exploring the local part of the national lakeshore. There is some great hiking trails and Peterson beach was perfect. It’s a convenient drive to the Glen Arbor area and Frankfort.
We will be back.

We had a great stay in this cabin for our adventures in Michigan. It was perfect for our family of 6, and a good central location for kayaking the Platte River and hanging out on the Lake Michigan beaches. We heard loons every night while enjoying a bonfire in the backyard. The kitchen was stocked well for all our needs, and even charcoal was provided for the grill. We loved the "rustic" cozy living room! We didn't have a single problem or complaint and fully enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay and were within a short drive to several little towns and activities. The backyard was great for hanging out after a long day and had plenty of firewood. We ate in a lot and the kitchen and eating area was great. The only things that would improve this place would be better lighting and more linens do to no available laundry room. Overall we had a great stay.

This is our second time staying on the property. It is so clean and has been kept up well. It is one of the most well stocked VRBOs we have stayed at. Beautiful area of Michigan to explore and quiet setting. I think you will have a pleasant stay. We hope to be back again sometime.

My family of 4 stayed in this property for a weekend getaway. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the space. There was lots of room for our little family, and the space would comfortably hold more if the kids had wanted to bring a friend. The beds were very comfortable. We were a little disappointed that the only TV in the home did not have any streaming options as we did not bring a laptop or our own streaming device. But we were able to find some DVDs locally and had a movie night instead. Overall, we were pleased with our stay and would recommend this property to others.

Myself and a group of friends spent three nights at this cabin. The cabin is at a great location and the cabin was surprisingly large and accommodating. Peter is a great host and the cabin was in great order for the stay. The one downside for me was the lack of bed sheets, and given the expensive cleaning fee I found that a little disappointing. Despite that one small thing, I highly recommend this cabin. It was a great home in a beautiful area

It’s an older log cabin with some upgrades and a lot of character.
It was well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals and relax in comfort.
There’s numerous activities in the area especially outdoors.
We hope to stay there again.

Great stay in Benzie County
My family of 4 had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It is positioned close to many great activities, is well maintained and stocked and both the cabin and our trip surpassed our expectations!

First time in a log cabin ( main room in house) very cool indeed. other bedrooms and kitchen, eating area was an add-on once upon a time.
Outside fireplace was nice to have. One bathroom which was dated but fully functional.
During the hot days you needed all windows and doors open because air flow is limited. Provided fans helped but we even brought some additional fans of our own which I would also recommend. Basically the cabin in located in a wooded area with big trees. Short walk to little platte lake but swimming is recommended via a short dive to many other options which include some very pretty beaches. I Recommend buying season or lifetime parking pass for all parks and beaches, you will need them. 50’s diner nearby excellent. Small grocery nearby also very good.
Owner was accessible by phone and very helpful.
Plenty of fresh corn nearby. Oh and do NOT forget to stop at the small BBQ place called Jim’s joint. Outstanding food and people.

Nice rustic cabin
I was looking for something rustic, warm and cozy. This was a step back in time but fit the bill perfect and was in a good location for seeing all the things we wanted to. Checkin process with Peter was great and communications back and forth. the cabin was clean and had plenty of room for us 3. You could sleep 6 here in beds. Fire pit out back is nice and there was plenty of wood to light a nice fire. Close to The Trading Post which has lots of essentials and many nonessentials. We liked our stay.

This was a fantastic cabin—spacious and well-equipped—in a beautiful and peaceful location a block from Little Platte Lake. The location could not be more convenient for the Dunes and all the little villages nearby—Frankfort and Glen Arbor are about a 20-minute drive, with Honor, Beulah, Benzonia, and Empire much closer. Lots of outdoor activities close at hand from hiking to water activities and biking. Great for a week or weekend away!

Great cabin that looks better in person then it even does in photos. Very clean, well stocked. Excellent Wifi. Awesome location to tour the Leelanau/Traverse area. Nice fire pit in back yard, plenty of parking, 2 lakes within walking distance. If I had to nit pick: bring some fans if it's warm. Otherwise, an excellent job.

We loved this cute little cabin that provided all the comfort and amenities we were looking for and more. We definitely want to come back again. Thank you!

Traverse city trip
We found the site to be perfect for our needs. Out intent was to visit Traverse City and the surrounding area and the location was excellent. The street was quiet, the lake was at the end of the street and the highway was close by. We wanted a place to provide a comfortable, friendly setting, a gathering place for the 4 adults and 1 child to spend time together, a kitchen that would enable us to make some meals without going out and the site provided all of this. We would book this site again.

The cabin has a great layout and could be a nice place. Great fire pit out back. The internet never worked. We had a couple of other little issues, but the main issue with the property is the musty smell. It was very bad. We opened the windows and ran a de-humidifier, but the must never cleared. We over-paid, especially off-season for the weekend. The musty smell needs to be eradicated before I stay here again.

Nice Cabin in the Woods
This was a great cabin to rent for three couples; everyone was comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped with appliances, tableware, and cookware. The living room and dining room both have comfy chairs & couches. We especially enjoyed our campfires in the back yard. The property was conveniently located near Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. We would definitely recommend this cabin!

Cute Cabin by the lake
The home was very clean and was supplied with everything we needed to ensure an enjoyable stay. Peter was quick to respond to our questions. We spent most of our time in Sleeping Bear Dunes NP and took a day trip to Traverse City. There is a lot to do in the area, within close proximity to the cabin. Little Platte Lake public access is a short walk from the cabin, perfect for renters to bring their kayaks and enjoy the lake. We will plan to do that next time! Thank you Peter and Carol for a wonderful end of summer trip!

2 Night Quick Trip
Needed a place for our last minute decision for a fishing charther. We had stayed here before about 2 years ago. Very clean and cozy cabin. The new windows in the original cabin are really nice. Everything worked our great and in a timely fasion from the quick response to our request, the access, to the amenities. I'm sure we'll be back again.
Thank You!!!

Close to everything, yet far enough to feel relaxed
The cabin is far larger than it looks. Outdoor fire pit is a plus for s’mores and telling stories. So close to kayak rentals and sleeping bear dunes. We went more than once! All the lakes are beautiful as are the sunsets. This place is perfect.

Paw Paw Lake Cottage-Home
We loved this property! The best part was that there were so many rooms for our family to spread out! Our children (ages 19 and 14) both had their owns rooms, but the Great room and dining room were fabulous spaces for our family to come together and enjoy each others' company. My husband really enjoyed the fire pit, and we had many nights of smores! The ambiance of this cabin really made it feel like we were on vacation, and it had all the conveniences we needed to to be comfy.

Great Cabin not on the lake
Great cabin with respect to layout and features. Loved the living room, dining room/porch, and kitchen. Only negative would be the picture of the lakefront used with title of “from front of cabin”. If you walk out to the mailbox and look down the lane, you would get that lakefront view.
4.7
Honor Cabin
Everything was well maintained and as described. Owner was attentive and available if needed. We had a nice stay!

A true home away
We really enjoyed our time at this property. Every room was well equipped for its purpose. I loved cooking in the kitchen and eating in the dining room. The owner has clearly thought of everything you will need to enjoy your time away. Bedrooms were spacious. Bathroom was large enough. The property is definitely worth its money. You can relax in any room. It served as a great base for our sleeping bear park getaway. I enjoyed walking to the trading post. It’s a close drive to Empire, drive in movie theater, Platte River, and the dunes. There are neighbors nearby but it is very quiet. We all slept comfortably on the beds. My family of five had ample room at this property. We hope to return again soon!

Very spacious, updated and well supplied with the basics!
Very nice property and cabin, the owners were very attentive. Definitely would recommend the cabin!
4.7
Nicely located clean cabin
The cabin has lots of room. Nice kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. Great location for visiting all the attractions in the region. Owner checked in to make sure everything was good as well. Thanks again!
4.7
Very clean, spacious and woodsy with birdsong!
Very nice place. It's bigger on the inside! Clean and big enough for our family of five. Evergreen forests close by and we could hear birds singing. We will definitely stay again next time we're in Michigan♥

Perfect location for all the Sleeping Bear Dunes and surrounding area
Great Cabin! Clean with plenty of space for all of us to spread out. Great backyard area with a fire pit perfect for the end of evening wind down. Kitchen was stocked with enough cooking pots and pans and even a slow cooker which we took advantage of. Definitely returning to this one. Centrally located to visit all the spots - Glen Arbor, Fishtown - Frankfort - Empire Bluffs, to name a few.
4.7
Wonderful!
Easily fit 5 adults and very close to sleeping bear dunes!

Convenient Location and Very nice house
My family of 5 love staying at this location. My kids are 13, 9, and 8 enjoyed being so close to Empire beach, Platte River beach, Esch beach and the dunes. The Honor Trading post was convenient to outfit us for a kayaking trip on the lower Platte
The house was very clean, well stocked and very quiet. The kids loved sharing a room and bunking together. It was a great place to relax, make a meal and enjoy a relaxing evening. The owners have clearly taken time to update and maintain a great house. Very enjoyable to work with!
