Beautiful home in quiet area, the best part were the amazing views. Close enough to restaurants/bars but not right in the middle of it. We easily drove the golf cart to restaurants and main area at night and walked during the day. Across the street is the access to the beach, not the main beach area so it is a little quieter. The owners provide a lot of really useful info.
10.0 / 10.0
Pros- The condo and views are beautiful. AC and WiFi work great. The kitchen is equipped with high-quality cookware/utensils. The pool is divine!
The facts- it’s 1 1/2 blocks and 103 stairs to the beach, but that area of the beach is best for strolling and sunset watching. The waves can be rough! It’s about a 10 minute walk into town and the more populated, calmer beaches. (Still, keep your wits about you. The currents can be unpredictable.) There are little tiendas (stores) sprinkled around, but no big stores. Yummy restaurants near and far.
We cooked a fair amount and did not rent a golf cart. Some of us loved the walk to and from the condo - others weren’t as excited by the stairs.
Cons- a few, easily fixed issues.
1. It would have been nice to have a FULL 5 gallon jug of drinking water to start us out, rather than an empty one, even if you don’t want to supply the whole week. We ended up boiling water (one minute kills bacteria and viruses) all week long to avoid buying more plastic bottles. It worked fine and no one got sick.
2. Ditto soap and shampoo in the bath.
3. The arrangement with the cleaner is that she comes before and after our stay. We took care of all our own needs during the week- garbage, laundry, sweeping, etc. As such, the somewhat demanding request for a tip, posted in English, was annoying. We paid, since it’s not her fault (AND we left the house in good order), but tipping a person we never saw felt off.
Overall- great trip and wonderful locale.

My wife and I stayed six days in this absolutely perfect condo. The rooftop deck had perfect views of the beach. The condo was just steps from the beach and an easy 10 minute walk into town. The condo was perfectly equipped and well maintained. We stay in top-end condos all over the world and I would rate this as one of my favorites. I worked every morning from the rooftop and watched the sunrise. The neighborhood is quiet yet so close to everything. It's very safe, peaceful and feels like an oasis. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Book it if you can.

Location was fantastic and walkable to everything we needed.
Condo was clean and well stocked with great views from the rooftop deck.
Lots of stairs and no elevator in the building.
No bottled water on site but we managed to find a delivery service.
Rooftop deck door blew shut and locked us on the roof. Thankfully we had someone nearby to come rescue us.

Wonderful unit in a great part of town. Outstanding views. Clean well kept and great owner and easy to communicate property manager. My adult kids ( ages 20,21, 22 25) had a blast. Ez to beach; nice pool. Comfy outdoor nooks.

This property was perfect for our family of four. The property is in great shape and has everything you need. It is well thought out with beach chairs, towels, cooking utensils and even provided flashlights that were nice when you walked into town during the evenings. Binoculars to view the whales was a plus.
The location was perfect. We were on the less utilized portion of the beach. It was not crowded at all.
The owners provide an information packet that is great. It lists everything you could want to do and lets you know cost and rates the restaurants. It is a very well thought out and comprehensive packet. I can't think of anything else they could have provided for our stay.
We will definitely go back!

This house, location, owners, property manager, and views are just absolutely the best. We absolutely enjoyed staying here and if we ever come back we would definitely stay here.
The house is extremely comfortable and the views/location is breathtaking. Owners and property manager were very nice and accommodating.
Thanks for letting us stay.

The celebration week at Casa Brooks was worth the wait.! The house has a beautiful view from all decks and is designed well for ease of privacy and group spaces. . Easy to use kitchen, parking, pool. Lots of resources provided. Moderate hill and Satie climb.

Our stay of 10 days was not as expected. A new resort building was under construction next door and the resulting noise was constant and loud 7:30 am to 5:00 pm every day except Sun. The railings on our building were also being replaced so the grinding and hammering contributed to the noise and lots of dust everywhere. Had to wipe things down every day. Great view of numerous whales from the deck and recommended medical assistance for one of our group was very good.

We couldn’t have been more pleased with such an amazing property and wonderful host. We’re hoping to return for our next vacation in Mexico.

I stayed down here in August 2022 with my three daughters (ages 11, 15, and 15) and one of their friends. The condo was great for our group, with the kids staying in the two rooms downstairs, and me staying upstairs. The condo was clean and there was a ton of information about things to do and places to eat. The pool at the condo complex was great for when we wanted to just hang out and relax. The location of the condo was a 5-minute golf cart ride to the center of town. Killer sunset views from the main floor and rooftop area.
Two things for visitors. First, limit the amount of money you exchange at the airport - you can get pesos from the bank or ATMs throughout town, and your bank will give you a significantly better exchange rate than the airport. Second, the golf cart was great for us - just know that you're limited to a 4-seater golf cart.
All in all a great condo, in a great location at an incredibly fair price. I suspect we'll be back and stay here again!

The information provided prior to the stay by the property manager Marusa made the trip. Between recommendations and arrangements we didn’t miss a beat, including: airport transportation, golf cart rental, private chefs, places to eat, onsite massages, etc. The views were spectacular, Casa Brooks had everything we needed and then some.

Extraordinary panoramic views and sunsets!
Very well equipped home and lots of info provided in a binder by owners. There was an ant problem in the kitchen and the upstairs was pretty buggy. But overall, a great place. We were without running water for 1 of 4 days, and one of the other days we were serenaded by very noisy construction next door. That was a bummer and I wish we could be comped for those issues.

A perfect stay in Sayulita
We love Sayulita and have stayed in other units in the Monterosa complex before which we enjoy for the location, view and pool. Casa Brooks in the best of the best. The rooftop lounge is really comfortable with the big couch. The view from there is unpaparlleled. The unit is really well kept and detailed- plenty of sunscreen and beach toys, kitchen ware etc. The owners are super responsive. Any questions, or problems you have, Chris and Lisa are on it immediately. They even offered to ship a couple of shirts my son left there. It’s a beautiful place run by lovely people. It’s quite a find!

Sayulita
We had a great time in Sayulita. It was BEAUTIFUL and very humid but overall experience was awesome. We had some issues for about two days with the gate (remote controls) to the condo complex, but it was finally taken care of after that we had a great time at Casa Brooks.

Excellent views, but...
Excellent views. Condo had good assortment of what you would normally expect in your own home. Some maintenance issues including caution tape on unsafe balcony railings. Condo is showing some wear from proximity to the ocean and renters (stains on outdoor cushions) and the floors made our feet black (swept, but not washed). Property manager was preoccupied, instructed us about not flushing toilet paper, recycling and garbage and then asked us to water the plants. Was very concerned about our impact on Sayulita. Didn't tell us much about the property or even Sayulita. Sayulita has become a very undesirable destination: noise (big disco party two blocks away from us multiple evenings till early morning), dust, construction, trucks, excavator, motorcycles, dog excrement everywhere, sewage smells everywhere, traffic (roadside tables and dust) and the walk to the condo had no sidewalks, so often dodging golf carts, cars, big dump trucks and speeding motorcycles. Will never come back to Sayulita.

AMAZING VIEW serene, clean, spacious, accommodating Sayulita condo (6 person)
The Condo was amazing! Nice layout with the two levels so there's plenty of room for 6 people. I have a chronic illness and unfortunately the airline didn't put in my wheelchair request successfully so by the time I got to Sayulita my body and mind were beyond exhausted which led to flare up of symptoms that kept me in bed most of the trip. However, the trip was for my brother's 50th Birthday and he was able to spend time with my husband, sister and her husband upstairs while I slept quietly downstairs. Marusa (property manager) was amazing, extremely kind and responsive. There was a complication with the transportation picking us up from the airport so we had to wait an hour (which was really hard on me due to my health) but it was apparently outside of their control. Also, we ran out of water one evening (apparently each unit has it's own tank that must be manually filled when empty) but Marusa had the water back on by 9/10am the next day. The golf carts were a must! They have a small parking spot close to the condo entrance so it's convenient to come and go. This was also the only way I was able to see any of Sayulita due to my health. They also had a place in town where you could park since parking has become more difficult in town with Sayulita's growth and the last thing you want is your cart towed... The one thing for anyone with health problems is that there are quit a few stairs to climb to Casa Brooks because it is one of the top condos and there is no elevator. Personally, I really enjoyed the serenity of the gated Monte Rosa Property. Town is a bit nuts with all the people and vendors and noise. However, for some like my brother and husband they enjoy the chaos of town and then the ability to retreat and rest in silence. Overall, amazing VRBO. Oh and finally I would encourage everyone to ONLY use bottled water to brush your teeth and double/triple check that if you buy ice it's PURIFIED. I brush my teeth in the shower at home and accidentally did one day in Sayulita... bad news... Also my husband bought ice that we thought was purified but then got horribly sick after using it. They've done a great job at Casa Brooks creating a welcome binder with all sorts of good information. I would HIGHLY encourage everyone to sit down and review together when you first get there. Because I was so ill by the time I got to Casa Brooks I didn't and by the time I did we'd figured out the hard way on a lot of information inside.

Awesome location and views!
Our time at Casa Brooks for Christmas was so special. We were all blown away by the views, the decks, the layout of the home and the décor. We settled in immediately because the place was so well equipped, organized and welcoming. Very spacious, yet we utilized all of it. From the deck off our main living area, to cocktails every night on the rooftop deck watching the sunset, to a very special Christmas dinner on our private rooftop deck, we loved it all. Everyday there was a treat and we all felt so fortunate to be there.
The location is perfect. Steps to the quieter part of the beach. Great eateries close by and still an easy walk into town.
The complex was quiet. People friendly. The pool area was fabulous. The property manager was great. The kitchen was well equipped including coffee, spices, lots of pots and cooking utensils. Nice beach chairs, fluffy towels and spotless.
Perfect for family with two young adults as the parents have the rooftop private bedroom and two private queen rooms off living room floor.
Highly recommend: 10/10.

The house/community was perfect. The views are amazing. This house had everything we needed from chairs to umbrellas. The Cantina on the roof was perfect for dinner. Marusa is super helpful with any questions. Had a great trip and would rent this place again. The complex itself has a great welcoming feel.

A disappointing birthday
Summary of a bad time:
-Another condo was blasting music day and night for the first two days.
-The property manager said she would reach out to us the second day of our stay, but we never heard from her.
-We were supposed to receive a new gate code each time they changed the front gate, but we never received it and thus were locked out until someone else came along and opened it for us.
- We were referred by the owners to a horrible & cheap golf cart rental business. The lights went out the third night and the golf cart company wouldnt come fix it. We had to go to them and almost got hit trying to drive to them with no headlights. It also made us miss our dinner reservation with friends.
- The same golf cart, a day later, had its parking brake pop free while we were in the cart, causing us to roll down the hill and smash into another golf cart. My wife was thrown from the cart and injured her back. This was at around11am (with people around and no one offered us help & no one checked to see if we were alright). I feel bad for anyone who stays at this condo community.
- To top it all off, the condo probably had the worst wi-fi in all of Sayulita. Good luck trying to get any work done.

Lovely spot but lots of steps!
The place is nice. We loved the view and the pool. There are too many steps up and down for going into town. We're all in our sixties and wished we had known that part. The road is very rough for a taxi dropping you off up top.

Family Vacation
We stayed here for a week in August. The home was Terrific and we’ll apportioned. The view was fantastic. We rented a golf cart to get to and from town. The main strip was only 5 minutes or so by golf cart. The entire experience was good. We would stay here again.

Great location, but soooo many bugs inside the suite! Maybe it’s just the time of year? Maru was very helpful with a dead garage door opener.

Perfect views!
Casa Brooks far exceeded our expectations while in Sayulita. Marusa, the house manager, was there for questions, transportation arrangements and anything else needed. The accommodations were ideal for our family with each teen getting their own bedroom and bathroom. And the ocean views were spectacular!

Fantastic Stay
Our visit to Casa Brooks was amazing and everything about the unit and our host exceeded our expectations. The condo is picture perfect - really exactly as the photos show and in a quiet area just north of town. We so appreciated all of the pre-trip information about Sayulita and managing our trip - it made the whole experience so easy and stress free. I've never had a rental that gave us so much extra in terms of service and care. We used the airport car service and the golf cart service which were both easy and safe. Also thanks to Marusa, the house manager who was very responsive and always responded to our questions. Sayulita is beautiful and we hope to visit Casa Brooks again!

Breathtaking Mexican Experience
Our experience at Monte Rosa was amazing. The views from the patios were breathtaking. We spent as much time as we could enjoying the gorgeous ocean views and the excellent amenities the property has to offer. The property manager met us at the property and walked us through the important codes needed for our stay and assisted us in local COVID opportunities to ensure our flight home was smooth. EVERYTHING as perfect!!! Thank you so much for a wonderful first experience in Mexico.

Absolutely Incredible
If you are like me and browse VRBO for hours to find the perfect place you can stop right now and book this. The home is absolutely incredible. Some of the best views you could ask for. The complex is beautifully maintained and secure. We were there December 2020 and there were zero issues with Covid. Life seemed normal. Can't go wrong booking this place, only thing I would do different would be to rent a golf cart for easy access into town although its only a 5-10 min walk!

Incredible!
We loved our week here so much! The view is so so incredible, the town has wonderful food and the beach is gorgeous. Super recommend. Marusa the property manager was also super helpful and friendly. We also really loved hopping into a golf cart and heading to town - very easy and fun. Lastly - a big thank for the kids toys and things - we traveled with our 1.5 yr old son and it made things much more fun / the baby life jacket is terrific. Huge thanks!
