We did not get the chance to stay here…. We were notified that there were squatters on the property and it would not be available. We were given very late notice and by that time there only a few properties left to accommodate our family so we ended up staying at another Vrbo…. Not a good place…. Very disappointing…

house in town... walk to great breakfast place. nice to have a big backyard which kids can run around in and which has nice tables and chairs.
funky layout in the house but it worked for us

This is a really nice house to stay at. We enjoyed it. However, the backyard path to the bike path does not exist. We were able to access it from another place. But the house suited our needs nicely.

Great stay. Very close to restaurants and downtown Grand Haven. House is big with a beautiful backyard. Host was quick to respond if I had any questions. Definitely recommend

The house was as advertised very roomy for a big family. The downstairs was perfect for the kids. Close to Muskegon and Grand Haven. Spacious backyard. Very clean and the host was very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The home was very clean and had a very home like feeling. My family and I enjoyed our stay. The location was great and close to everywhere we needed to go. The home was spacious and had plenty of rooms and beds to accommodate all of us.

Very lovely house. One clarification is the trail behind the house is not accessible from the property due to overgrown brush and steep grade. I drove down to a park area and accessed from that point.

Two couples in town for a wedding (and a couple of adult children). Plenty of room to spread out as the downstairs is like a stand alone dormitory with a great bathroom, beds, tv, fireplace and a great laundry room. The upstairs has two bedrooms and two bathrooms plus a living room and a family room that our two couples could have plenty of space. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need plus a nice dining room. There is also a 3 seasons room with a dining table that we used often. The added BONUS was the back yard which is massive and private with tables, chairs, and lounges. The communication with the owners was excellent. Great walking (or biking) trail right behind the property that we used everyday. I would call it a massive cottage!!! We will be back.

We enjoyed this house that gave every one room to relax. It was a busy weekend wedding and we loved how close it was to all events.
The beds and linens are wonderful. Plenty of space for our family cook out. Our host was so nice and available when we needed her.

We stayed here for a 4 day weekend for our daughter's Spring Lake Country Club wedding. Proximity to the venue and the surrounding amenities was great. The house is very spacious which was great because one person in our party had to work remotely and he had his own living room! The house was everything we needed, and everyone was comfortable. The screened in room and backyard could use a little more attention in terms of upkeep, but overall the house was perfect for our group of 6 adults.

My group loved our stay! The home was clean, well kept, beautiful yard, and the owner did a good job of making us feel comfortable.

So clean and so cute
This house is immaculately clean and came with everything you would possible need. The backyard is huge and has tons on outdoor furniture to entertain. We had 6 kids all sleeping in the beautiful basement and they felt like they had their own space to hang out. Toiletries and essentials are stocked in every closet and we never needed to make a run to the store to get anything! Grand Haven is just 5 mins down the road so this was perfect for our group. Thanks for a great time, your house is very well kept and you do a great job.

Great spot for our couples weekend
This is a great house for a large group. It comfortably slept 8 of us and accommodated us for dinner and relaxing in the dining room, screened-in porch, and in the pergola. The outdoor space is amazing and it is really a bonus to have a nice weber grill. It is on a fairly busy street but it is set back far from the road so it's not loud. The house is very well stocked as well!

We loved staying here. The location was great!! It was a short drive to the beach, musical fountain, ice cream and great restaurants. The house was clean with plenty of space for the 8 members of my family.
I loved the little extra touches ( travel size toothpaste, high quality shampoo and conditioner, hand soap, air freshener etc). It so refreshing to have a property owner to provide these little niceties.
We would definitely rent again when we are back in the area!

Family vacation
It was a great spot for our Michigan family vacation. We had 3 families/generations and were all very comfortable in the house. There were lots of amenities in the kitchen for when we cooked and space to play games. We drove 10 min to Grand Haven State Park for our beach fun and shopping. We would love to visit again in the future.

Interesting spaces...room for everyone!
We enjoyed our stay. Close to the trail, ice cream shops...nice location. Home is well-equipped. Much bigger than it looks - lots of interesting rooms/spaces for people to gather. Nice backyard with a nice grill. Located on the 'main drag' through town - that road is fairly busy. Backing out into traffic can be a challenge at certain times of the day.

Lots of room for family. Close to beaches. Beautiful backyard!

Another great stay!
This is my second time booking with Shasta and it was just as perfect as the first. The house is cozy and cute and in a great location. Within walking distance of downtown Spring Lake and a quick drive to Grand Haven. Lots of room for our group so we never felt we were on top of each other. Highly recommend this home!

We found this home to be an ideal location for doing all of the various activities around Grand Haven. We visited the beach, enjoyed downtown, did a day trip to Grand Rapids, hiked, kayaked and ate at a couple of the restaurants very close by in Spring Lake. The home was clean and roomy.
4.8
This house was beautiful with all the necessities. Large enough to accommodate our party of 10. The screened-in patio area was a perfect place to eat our meals. True, it is on a busy road, but we never had to wait too long to get out of the driveway; maybe 2 minutes at most. The supplied toiletry items were a nice touch.
Pros:
Clean!!
Comfortable beds
Large back yard that leads to a bike path which you can take to the coffee shop, downtown, playground, dog park, and a small beach where you can watch the sunset.
Three bathrooms – many of the other houses to rent in the area only had one or two, and with a party of 10 women, we definitely needed three.
Well appointed kitchen. We had everything we needed to prepare our meals.
A nice variety of coffee pods were available to use in the Keurig!
Cons:
Bring your own mirrors if you don’t want someone in the bathroom with you while you’re showering. Mirrors are only in the bathrooms which left us using our small mirrors in our make up compacts. Mirrors should definitely be installed in each bedroom to accommodate larger parties.
While there are A/C units upstairs, the basement doesn’t offer them. Luckily it was cool enough in the evenings when were there so cracking a window made it comfortable enough for sleeping.

Perfect House in the middle of Everything
My dad, brother, and I stayed here for 4 days to do a golf/ATV trip and it was the perfect house. All the appliances were updated, the kitchen was big enough to cook, the house had all the cookware and utensils we could need, having 3 full bathrooms is clutch, and the living room spaces were large. The only things I would change are the grill (the front burners didn't work) and I think it would be advantageous to put some lighting on the pergola in the backyard. Other than that, everything was great.
It's not in the heart of the downtown area, but you can find good places within a 0.5-5 miles away. There's a ton of room in the backyard for games and such as well.

Birthday Celebration
We enjoyed the Spring Lake/Grand Haven area, the home is in a great location related to downtown and the bike path. The home owners and management were responsive and accommodating. The home was extremely clean.

Great family get away
When we arrived the code was easy and the house was immaculate ... the general layout was perfect for our family ... the screened porch was fun as was the back yard ... we would only say that leaving was slow because of the traffic on the road but it would not keep us form returning ... which we hope to return

Great place to have a socially distanced vacation
Property is spacious enough for a family vacation. Backyard is great for grilling out. Very clean and has everything you need in the kitchen. Unfortunate maintenance issue on our second night, but owners and manager handled immediately and appropriately, which was appreciated. The basement is a little warmer than the rest of the home, due to no window units down there. But fans were provided. We loved our stay!

We had a great week!
The house was very comfortable and had all the amenities of home. Only 10 minutes to the beaches and many parks!

Great vacation home near Grand Haven!
Cute & comfortable house 5 minute drive from downtown Grand Haven, less than 10 minute drive to the beach. The house was super clean, fully stocked and the host was very responsive.
We enjoyed our long weekend here very much!

Wonderful Property
The “Sunset on Savidge” was the perfect house for our family’s trip to Spring Lake for our son’s wedding this past weekend. While COVID and phased reopening were playing havoc with the wedding plans, the one constant we had were the owners’ flexibility. Tom & Shasta were so understanding of our COVID/wedding situation, and they did everything and anything to accommodate our needs as we got closer to the wedding date.
The property was perfect for our family. It was clean and very well stocked with all the amenities we needed. The back yard and sunroom were perfect for a pre-wedding evening with family and bridal party and the large basement bedroom area worked great for the groomsmen to dress the morning of the wedding.
We could have not picked a better property and better owners for our wedding trip. Thank you Tom & Shasta for all your help and for allowing us the use of your wonderful home. Since the wedding this year was limited to 50 people, we will be back in Spring Lake next summer for a 1 year vow renewal and will definitely be staying at Sunset on Savidge again.

Relaxing getaway
The living space in the house was great. The backyard was our "secret getaway" -- that provided hours and hours of enjoyment for our group of 12. The kitchen was kind of small when we were making meals for that many, but overall, we enjoyed the our time at the property.

Great Stay
We really enjoyed our stay. The house had great amenities (lost of blankets and pillows, trash bags, TP, paper towels, etc) and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The best were quite comfortable, though the sleeper sofas weren't fantastic (but that kind of comes with the territory). The only complaint is not having a coffee make (other than Keurig); we're kind of serious about our coffee :)
It's located on a very busy street...getting in and out is a bit challenging. A couple of maintenance/up-keep issues that I communicated to the property manager so hopefully that gets addressed for the next guests. Overall, great stay and I would do it again!

Family Reunion Fun
We had a great stay at Sunset on Savidge! Location was perfect and plenty of room for our large family. Loved the little courtyard entryway for early morning quit time and coffee and the backyard pergola and porch for hosting a cookout with the whole family. Can’t wait to go back to Spring Lake and stay again!
