We always stay on the west shore in both the summer and winter. This is by far the best house we have stayed at. Super tastefully decorated, close to everything and the topper was it has a garage so our car was not buried in snow in the mornings :)

This property is stocked with everything you need to make some great family memories. Well appointed cabin with a spa, fire pit, well stocked garage for lawn games and beach toys. What more could you ask for?
Thanks Russ for being such a great host! We will be back soon and are looking forward to our next stay.

What a great place for our family ski vacation. The home has old school Tahoe charm, is well appointed and thoughtfully decorated. The spa was clean and especially appreciated after long ski days! Great location close to Sunnyside Resort and about 25 min to Palisades. Russ was very easy to communicate with answered all our questions promptly. We will definitely come back. Thanks Russ!

The place lived up to expectations. The house was beautiful as were the appointments and decorations. Looking forward to staying here again in the summer.

This place was amazing! It is rustic, but updated with all the modern necessities, and clear that the owners both: a) take great pride in their cabin, and b) have a TON of style! Great kitchen, wildly comfy beds, hot tub, the works! And then there is the living room... the comfiest, coziest room with the most amazing fireplace I've ever seen! We really loved our time and hope to stay again! Thank you!

As others have said, the photos don’t even do this property justice. Just a beautiful place with lots of luxuries: soaking tub, hot tub, great beds and a real wood burning fireplace! It was exceptionally clean as well. This will be our go to whenever we visit Tahoe.

Everyone in our group had a great time. The property and house is really beautiful, recently renovated but maintained the classic rustic look.
The kitchen was well stocked and equipped compared to other rental properties I have stayed at. Easy to cook for our whole group.
Drive to Palisades was easy and only took 20 min. Excellent private hot tub to rest the legs after.
Only thing to note is the bunk bed is a bit cozy getting in and out... just plan to put your most limber person up top.
Great cabin, would definitely stay again!

Absolutely loved my stay at this cozy Tahoe cabin! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and comfort. The cabin’s rustic charm combined with modern amenities created the perfect retreat. And I thoroughly enjoyed the Alaskan Cedar hot tub!! That was so wonderful after a day on the lake! The home was impeccably clean, well-equipped, and conveniently located. It was an unforgettable experience- I can’t wait to return!

The pictures and description don’t come close to representing the true beauty of this gem! The outdoor seating area with fire pit is so relaxing and inviting! The cabin is very well appointed with new appliances & cozy comfy couches. The beds were like sleeping on clouds! 10/10 seems under stated for this place. The private beach association is only a few minutes walk & even in mid summer places to setup for a day at the beach were plentiful. A true Tahoe experience!

Very clean. Thoughtfully equipped with everything you want and need. Beach club access is great. A wonderful few days in the pines. Only minor issue is that the main bedroom bed is quite high and, while very comfortable, is a bit hard to get into with mobility issues. 100% would stay again.

We planned an adult family ski holiday, with Cedar crest cottage being our second half for 4 nights! The place is lovely an authentic Western cabin all the furnishings and fireplace! Hot tub was terrific! We really appreciated the kitchen and all the amenities as we love to cook! We could also feel the presence of a family who has enjoyed their cottage over the years and love that we were able to share in it! All WiFi,TV, Sonia awesome too! Watch for ice in winter slipping off roof ! Great location to Tahoe City and skiing at Alpine and Palisades!

Amazing!
I actually hate to share how much we enjoyed this property for fear it won't be available when we go to rent it again (and again). It is as beautiful as the pictures look and has everything you could possibly need (kitchen amenities, games, puzzles, shampoo, etc.). Location to beach and Sunnyside and Tahoe City can't be matched. We will be back!

Wonderful place; would stay again
We stayed here for a weekend of skiing (4 ppl) at Palisades/Alpine. Very close to both resorts and easy to drive to Tahoe City. the VRBO itself was surprisingly well laid out on the inside, the beds were comfortable, the place was clean, and overall very comfortable. The hot tub was lovely. Someone must have come to turn the hot tub on for us in advance of our arrival, which was so appreciated.

We thoroughly enjoyed this home for our family of five. It’s proximity to town and only 15 mins from skiing was ideal. House is decorated perfectly and well stocked with all the necessities. We really enjoyed having a fireplace and the hot tub in evenings. The home was very clean and all agree we’d love to visit again some day.

Our only complaint would be that nothing about road closures during the winter is mentioned in the description or noted by the host beforehand. Our time at the lodge was perfect and had all the extra amenities one could hope for. We are already considering going back next Christmas! However, we were new 'Tahoe tourists' and wish we had been more prepared for our first day of travel into a snow storm.

The house was lovely! The property owner was super responsive and helpful and we had a great time. We had to cut our trip short due to a winter storm but we had a great time while we were there!

Enjoyed Our Stay
We were in Tahoe for our son’s wedding. The property was very clean and the check-in process was very easy. The home was well stocked and the beds were super comfy. The only hiccup was that we lost power the morning of the wedding. No fault of the owners, but we left a message for the property manager, Lucila, who never did return our call. Luckily we found the electric company’s number and the power was restored in time for us to get ready for the wedding. Would like to explore this area in the summer and would certainly return.

Amazing Thanksgiving Trip
The property was beautiful and well equipped. The cozy fire and access to fun beach/park was great for the kids. I would love to go back in the summer. The house is well stocked with laundry detergent, dishwasher pods, shampoo & conditioner. No need to buy or bring. Beds were soft, I slept like a baby. This house was perfect for our family with three young kids. Can't wait to go back.
