Truly exceptional property that is a real treat to stay at. A bit dated in some aspects but truly a beautiful home built with gorgeous woodwork. We saw deer drinking from the stream every morning while having coffee on the deck and enjoyed the stars at night from the jacuzzi.
Good idea to bring your own pillows and shower stuff (shampoo, conditioner, body wash).

Incredible property! Loved the outdoor area and hot tub with the sound of the stream surrounding the house. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and hope to stay again myself!

We had a fantastic trip, love this place… A true winter wonderland chalet… we got snowed in but with the hot tub, it was perfect!!

This property is phenomenal! There is a stream running around the property. The kids caught a couple trout and threw them back. Property owner was very responsive.

We stayed here in March 2022 for a snow experience and were looking forward to our stay in June 2023 for a summer experience. It didn’t disappoint! We love the spaciousness of the chalet, the hydrotherapy pool, and proximity to everything in the June Lake loop.
Due to the extreme snow and resulting melt, the basement was slightly flooded, as water seeped up through the slab. We were just careful when we had to use the washer/dryer and otherwise avoided the basement. It did not affect our stay at all, but wanted to give a heads up since this is probably something they’ll be dealing with for a while. The kids enjoyed the small rock climbing wall down there last time, and we avoided it this time.
We can’t wait for 2024, as well will definitely be back!

The chalet is a beautiful place to stay and fortunate we found this gem in June Lake. Snow was piled everywhere but were warm and secure in the chalet and able to use the hot tub to enjoy the day and starry nights. This is a perfect vacation place to get away from it all and enjoy the beauty of the place.

The chalet was just what we expected and hoped for to facilitate a few days on June Mtn. Great location. The ambiance was cozy and inviting. Plenty of space and great for just hanging out after a long day on the slopes. We plan to stay here again.

Enjoyed relaxing in the cabin. I love drinking coffee by the wood burning stove in the morning. It was cold outside but very warm and cozy inside. Did a little skiing at June Mountain and hung out at the spa at Double Eagle resort. . Some cold beers at June Brew. Cooked up some spaghetti in the kitchen . Then watched a movie in the great room with the fireplace going .
I’m making plans for my return later this winter and a summer stay as well .

Beautiful property gorgeous location by June Lake
Location is great for various hikes and entry into Yosemite. Located at June Lake where paddle boards, kayaks and boats are a must. House is extremely spacious and family friendly! Beautiful Mountain Views from all the bedrooms. Great hike straight out the back door. Excellent vacation spot.

Perfect base of operations for June Lake, Yosemite, Bodie, and NE Sierras. The house is roomy but cozy. Nice kitchen. Only complaint was a fishy smell from the fridge, but we cleaned it and got rid of most of the odor. Will definitely rent here again!

While the location is wonderful, communication with owner, prompt, architecture beautiful, ammenities are outdated -- our guess circa 1970's. It simply wasn't "modern" nor "luxurious." Spa never warmed beyond bath temperature and spa cover is so old with cracks it can't keep the heat in. Kitchen was an irritant rather than a relaxing and enjoyable space -- cupboard doors clap loudly when closed, microwave is circa 1970 (Amana radar range), cookware is mostly a mismatch of what may have bought also in 1970's. It was an irritant to use. There are no curtains on windows in the master bedrooms - very early morning sunshine directly on our faces forced us to an early rise until we chose to buy eye masks. We thought we were paying for a "modern and luxurious" home to enjoy cooking, hot jacuzzi's, and late morning, wake ups in addition to the magnificent June Lake Loop. While we loved the lakes, we'll return next time to true "modern and luxurious" Mammoth Lakes rental.

Be warned! No curtains. Not Modern. Not Luxurious. Circa 1970's.

We were looking for a desitnation to ski with our adult daughters and their husbands. We considered Utah, Colorado, Idaho and in the end the best choice was right in our backyard, just 20 min from our home in Mammoth Lakes. Our stay at the Yosemite Gateway Chalet was perfect in every way. Three days of skiing at June Mtn was just right for our new son-in-laws who are just getting into skiing, while still having great skiing for the girls who are experts having grown up in Mammoth skiing since they could walk. June's empty slopes, excellent grooming and just enough challenge off the top of J7 meet our family needs perfectly. Our cabin was perfect for our 3 adult couples to have their "own space" while providing plenty of room for us to come together for meals, games, puzzles, reading and hanging out together. The hot tube was a great addition (though it took a little longer to heat up than we would have liked...but we learned the routine quickly). Of course, sunny afternoons at JLB were an excellent place to relive the day's adventures. A+ for our family staycation.

Gorgeous chalet
We loved our stay here! Clean, comfortable and gorgeous surroundings.

Huge cabin! Very spacious for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids. No shampoo/conditioner - make sure to bring your own. Game/puzzle selection was very outdated and not a full deck of cards within the giant stack of cards. No cable or streaming services available. Only DVD and VHS (!). Selection was some what outdated and scratched. I would recommend bringing your our own DVDs and games. Hot tub was an excellent feature! Easy entry & access. Very icy at the bottom of the driveway - be careful! Owner was very responsive and easy to get a hold of. No questions while at the property everything worked well. Also, no seasoning in the kitchen. Sometimes VRBOs kitchens have left over spices besides S&P, this place doesn’t so make sure to bring your own EVERYTHING for cooking. Overall a great location! So close to the ski area! Just some notes about the extras you might want to bring if you stay at this property. Thank you!

Love coming each year to the ‘June Mt. Mansion” as the grandkids refer to the chalet!

The house was wonderful and a great place to hang out when it is cold outside. House is quite spacious. Just the wrong time of year for us as weather was colder than we expected. Easy access to restaurants and downtown.

House didnt have any trash bags or extra pillows for someone that would want to use 2 pillows. Got charged for something that should be covered in the cleaning fee. Did not damage anything but got charged.

My family stayed at the chalet for a few days to attend a small wedding. The backyard of this play was absolutely gorgeous made even better by the jacuzzi and hammock. A nice tucked away location with minutes drive from June Lake and Silver Lake. We definitely will be looking to stay here again in the future.
