BEACH - Just walk out the door, thru the large covered lanai, with the picnic tables, and you will be on your grassy lawn (big enough for Croquet or Badminton), large shade trees, surrounded by native Hawaiian plantings, and the gently sloping seashore is in front of you.
VIEW - From the lawn, now look down the sandy beach, see the ocean's waves - plus - the coastline and mountain views. Beautiful! Lay down and sunbathe, either on the tree-shaded grass or natural beach, and let go in the warmth of the day, listening to the waves lapping on the shore. Or sit in a chair and just be mesmerized by the ocean's beauty. You may even relax on the lawn, with wi-fi, and be able to work remotely, looking at this beautiful view. Stay long enough and you will see the turtles! (and maybe the humpback whales during winter).

1st Floor - Main floor primary bedroom (with a spacious Calif. King bed) and windows providing a beautiful lawn & ocean view (and sounds of the waves!);
2nd - Second floor bedrooms each have one set of stationary twin bunk beds, each in its own small private bedroom area, in the partially-divided upstairs larger room.
Another GREAT place to sleep is on the Queen bed in the living room (used both to sleep and as a relaxation area, a Hawaiian daybed, the 'pune'e' for those in the know). This comfortable bed has the advantage of a picture window lawn/ocean view when you wake up, fresh air from the many windows, and many fans, and soothing ocean sounds at night.
Two bathrooms make this a comfortable retreat for a family or friends to enjoy.
VINTAGE BEACH HOUSE - The house is an ORIGINAL, vintage, roomy, Hawaiian style, classic board and batten, unique beach house, built circa 1920s-1940s. My grandparents said it first started life as a fishing shack! In this house we enjoy Hawaii's trade winds, with open windows, & six ceiling fans that cool the house, with extra standing fans too. Our beach home was built to have a bedroom for the parents and a bedroom for the kids, so we added the extra queen bed in the living room for those who enjoy Hawaiian-style informal, casual, beach-side living. This Hawaiian beach house has been well-used and well-loved within this family since the 1930s! Many improvements have been made over the years, and especially the past five years. And we would like to share it with you now.
CONVENIENT - The nearby towns of Waialua and Haleiwa are just five and ten minutes away, respectively, with many restaurants, shops and attractions available! The beautiful North Shore coast stretches out in either direction.
~ Great restaurants and weekly farmer's markets
~ Variety of shops and interesting things to see & do (like fishing or a surf class)
~ Attractions - nearby Haleiwa Harbor, Waimea Bay park, falls & lu'au, hikes and walks, golf courses, other beautiful beaches, the Polynesian Cultural Center, easy access to Pearl Harbor and Honolulu.
PEACEFUL - When you stay here, in the quiet of the night, go outside, look up at the star-filled sky, and notice how peaceful it is. It is QUIET. Listen to the waves, they will lull you to sleep in your clean and cozy beds - all is well with the world, and in the morning you will happily greet another beautiful day!

We loved this place. Nothing crazy fancy, just beautiful home and location. Stephanie is very attentive and easy to get ahold of and work with. We would definitely come back. Thank you, Stephanie.

Stephanie’s house is perfect for a family with kids. Super clean, well equipped and in an amazing location, the beach is beautiful and safe. We had a great time!

We enjoyed our stay at Stephanie's property. We were looking for a place that's away from the crowds, laid back, with a real Hawaii feeling. And we found it! The beach acces was also amazing and it's centrally located for day trips around the island.
We will choose the same place when we return to Oahu.
Thank you, Stephanie, for making sure the soul of this house does not go away.

Great house with nice spaces. Very well equipped inside and plenty of beach chairs etc. for outside. The garden is lovely and the beach is just steps away. Such fun to watch the surfers from both inside and outside the house. A very quiet neighborhood on a one lane street that is good for walking. Perfect for a couple or a family with young kids.

This vacation/holiday was one of the best for us. The Beach house is comfortable, safe, and relaxing. You will have everything you need to have a relaxing and fun vacation. The neighbors are very friendly. Stephanie is a wonderful person. She checked with us if we needed it anything throughout our stay. We really enjoyed our stay at the Beach House.

We loved the location of this home - right on the water. The vintage decor was amusing. Exceedingly well stocked pantry. Lots of games and books! Stephanie, the owner, could not have been nicer.

Nice property and location. If you are looking for a beach house with an old Hawaii feeling, I would recommend this location. The owner was very sweet lady, and you could tell she has a lot of love for her family home.
I will have to say that the check-in and check-out process are a bit much for my liking. If you rent this place, be sure to allot yourself and hour or two for check-in.

This property is a classic Hawaiian beauty. There are amazing views all around. It's located in a very quiet neighborhood far away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. There is a lovely town very close by for shopping and eating. The house is very comfortable and you have everything you need for the beach, which is right out the back door! You can swim with turtles everyday you are there. It is like having your own private beach. We were a party of four adults and there is definitely room for four more. If you need to get some work done before you play, the wifi works perfectly, and if you stock up the fridge you don't have to go anywhere! We would love to go back there if they'll have us 🥰

We were welcomed by the owner and had a fantastic time on the beach and in the house it’s a beautiful location near Haleiwa where we strolled frequently. The owner is an elderly person who comes round to do the gardening so the place remains in perfect condition and is very eager to meet and engage with you to your best accommodation but it’s up to you to draw the line. I very much enjoyed watching the numerous sea turtles in the sea. If you like the North shore it’s a great family house to stay.

This is the second time we have stayed at Stephanie's property, and it was just as magical as the first visit! If you are looking for a property directly on the beach, with ocean views from the primary bedroom and common room, this is the perfect location. Without even leaving the property you are able to witness turtles swimming and resting on the beach, parachuters falling from the sky, snorkeling, fishing, walks on the beach, and beautiful sunrises and sunsets! We like to rent bikes and SUP's from town (they deliver) so we can enjoy bike rides in the private community and purchase local fruit from the small kiosks in front of the homes. We are very active all day, up with the sun, and in bed just after sunset, so it was a nice treat to have newly installed air condition to cool the rooms down at bed time! (The primary bedroom also has a very comfortable new king size bed.) When we would break away from the property we would visit the Waialua Sugar Mill for Shave Ice, Jerry's for Pizza (In Waialua), The Beach House (dinner for a little fancier meal, in Haleiwa), and Haleiwa town for a variety of food and shopping. We appreciate the personal and detailed information Stephanie provides at check in, and the special treats she drops off during gardening days! Thank you Stephanie, can't wait to for the next visit!

A perfect house for quintessential Hawaiian vacation
We were looking for a quiet and simple place to stay for our North shore vacation. We found it at Stephanie’s home in Mokuleia. It was the perfect place to help us slow down and take in the sights and sounds of the ocean, mountains, and wildlife. It was a great home base location for all of our North Shore adventures including hiking, surfing, fishing, and swimming. The home was well appointed and Stephanie was very attentive to our needs, including the special needs of our disabled son. The house is perfectly level without any steps so it made it easy to get his wheelchair inside. She also provided a shower chair for our use which was very helpful. We really appreciated the beach chairs, beach towels, ice chests, and ice blocks, which made it easy for our day adventures at other beaches. Stephanie was also generous about us having close family friends who live on the island gather with us. We really appreciated that.
The wildlife was incredible. A monk seal napped most of one day just in front of the house and turtles swam by constantly, coming up the sand to sleep at night. The neighbors were friendly and full of Aloha, sharing stories and food with us. It really felt like home and made it hard to leave.

The vintage Hawaiian house was just what we were looking for
The vintage house was awesome and very clean. Everything worked. Two bathrooms and a nice kitchen. The front lawn lead to the beach and ocean. There is a reef, but plenty of area near shore for swimming. You can snorkel over the reef, but don’t touchi it. We saw turtles and whales breached far out. There is a covered lanai for when it rains. It was at least 80 degrees for our whole stay. The owner stops by twice a week to check on things, pick up leaves and see if anything is needed. Overall, we had a nice relaxing and long vacation

Best Experience of our Life!
We absolutely loved the home, location and wonderful access to the ocean. Stephanie was the perfect hostess and spoiled us rotten with her gifts and suggestions. This is my 4th visit to Ohau , staying many places. Stephanie’s house is far the best place I’ve ever stayed and plan to one day return. Mahalo Stephanie!

Great Stay
Stephanie has a wonderful beachfront house in a quiet area of the island. Somewhat removed from the normal tourist areas, it is near to more local flavor and activities, but a short drive to those other areas. Comfortable, pleasant and island charming. We had a very enjoyable couple of months here.

Perfect beachfront home-away-from-home
Our 15-day stay in Stephanie's lovely, well-maintained, and secluded beach house was perfect for our 4-person family time together before launching our daughter at Univ. Hawaii Manoa. Due to the Delta coronavirus surge, we mostly hunkered down at "home" and made full use of the great amenities, sparsely occupied beach, and spectacular ocean views. Stephanie was very attentive, considerate of our time, and helpful. We loved the daily turtle sightings, reef snorkel opportunities, and rare glimpses of endangered monk seals. The house had everything we needed, including a complete kitchen and dining setup. We especially loved eating meals on covered lanai, lounging under the palm trees mere steps from the surf, and appreciating our good luck to be in a traditional Hawaiian home rather than a tourist hotel. Thanks again for sharing your amazing home, Stephanie - we will be back soon (after COVID-19 subsides), if possible! Susan S. and family

Great out of the way north shore property!
We have been visiting family on the North Shore of Oahu for the past 7 years. We chose this area because it was close to where they lived. We soon fell in love with the amazing beach, mountain views and quiet location. We’ve stayed in several rentals and this one had the best outdoor space. The covered picnic tables off the house offered a perfect place to enjoy our meals while still enjoying the ocean views. The yard was large with beautiful plants/flowers and palm trees. There were plenty of chairs, beach chairs, beach towels and yard games available. The yard and beach really were perfect. Inside of the house is great too. We loved the king bed and ocean views of the master bedroom. Our son was comfortable in one of the smaller rooms with a twin bunk bed. Our older teens preferred to sleep on the queen bed in the living room since they were a little big for the other bunk bed room. This is an older cottage that has been decorated really cute and has everything you could need on vacation. It is not a luxury property, more like a vintage property (which is what we prefer). Stephanie was attentive and went out of her way to leave thoughtful gifts and even bought something for the kids. Only complaint is that the outside security cameras are always on, even when guests are staying and that felt like an invasion of privacy even though the owner said she only checks them about once a day for security purposes. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Location and Views
The location is ideal for a quiet and restful vacation. Yet it is close to Haleiwa for shopping and eating. The views of the ocean are wonderful.

First, this property is legally zoned to be rented for 30 days or longer only. Our stay was for one week, and the property owner told us after we arrived that we had to be quiet about the duration length, not talk to neighbors, and tell anyone that asks that we are family/friends of Stephanie to avoid her getting fined by the city/state. Had we known this ahead of time we would have stayed in a property that was zoned correctly so we didn't have to feel like we were unwelcome. Multiple neighbors made comments about us as we were out and about. The property and location are fantastic if you're looking for a quiet, almost private beach environment. The home, while quite old, is very well maintained and provides plenty of privacy.I would give this a 8/10 for families with older children (10+ years) or couples. The missing 2 stars are assigned to how incredibly warm the home gets even will all the windows open. With fans running in mid-afternoon / early evening the home was well above 80 degrees. While the bedrooms have A/C, they are wall mounted and only help cool those specific rooms.Having young children (ages 3-7), we would give this a 4/10. The all concrete floors with no rugs/carpet, etc on the main floor made it very uncomfortable and difficult to let the kids play indoors in the evenings. The flooring on the upper rooms is older wood that is no ideal for anything but walking on.The home does come with plenty of amenities which was great. Being able to use the snorkling gear, floation devices, etc., made it very convenient at the beach. The beach is not ideal for swimming as there is a reef just a dozen feet or so off. The water isn't deep enough yet to swim over it, and it's not shallow enough to let kids really play in the ocean. We found incredible beaches just a short drive from the home though. The North Shore has big waves but the beaches were fantastic and we found plenty of kid friendly areas to swim in.The check-in process was rough, but I'm sure a large part of that was us having small children. Stephanie is incredibly detailed about reviewing every aspect of the property. We arrived around 6:15pm to check-in and the process didn't end until almost 8:30. With small children and dinner waiting for us it was a very long process. We are used to accessing our rental homes with a simple key code and any relevant instructions provided either via email or left in a common area to review.

The beach is not ideal for swimming as there is a reef just a dozen feet or so off. The water isn't deep enough yet to swim over it, and it's not shallow enough to let kids really play in the ocean. We found incredible beaches just a short drive from the home though. The North Shore has big waves but the beaches were fantastic and we found plenty of kid friendly areas to swim in.
The check-in process was rough, but I'm sure a large part of that was us having small children.

Right on the beach
Love the stay, place is right on the beach, and great for walking, and the big lawn is nice for croquet and bbq's. The water out front is not great for swimming, but there are some places walking distance, but you can certainly get in.... Overall, the place is older, but everything worked and we had a great time. Nice quiet neighborhood. Great surfing beach near by for me and the kids with lifeguards, bathrooms etc. I would rent it again.

FABULOUS PROPERTY !!! Highly recommend !!!
We recently stayed at this wonderful property - we were a group of x4 adult women and was our first time to Hawaii. Based on the excellent reviews, we decided on this property and were ecstatic that the reviews were indeed accurate and exactly as was described. Pictures of property were accurate, location was excellent, cottage was spotlessly clean, amenities galore, modern and vintage at the same time and there was not anything we would have changed about it !!! The owner takes extreme pride and care into making sure her guests have everything they need throughout the stay. You could not have asked for a better location - minutes to everything in the town, but far away from the traffic and crowds to make it quite and serene. The beach is quiet and secluded and we only saw the locals. Sea turtles were there every day !! Chickens and rooster were present around the property which added to the overall fabulous atmosphere of the property !!! We would return to this property in a heartbeat if we ever return to the island of Oahau.. Great for families, couples or solo travelers. This has to be one of the best places on the North Shore to stay !!!

Great place for a family vacation!
Really enjoyed our family vacation at this property! Great set up with an open living / dining area, two separate rooms for the kids with their own bathroom, nice room for the parents with another bathroom. Well stocked house - including beach items. Amazing sunsets and sunrises! Close enough to town, but far enough away that you only saw a few people on the beach!

Beautiful beach location!
A quaint older home on the beach, with a nice reef for snorkeling in your back yard. The home was well equipped with lots of toys for the beach. If you want to get away from the crowds, this is the place. The home is very clean and well maintained. The only negative is that the owner makes renting the home very complicated with lots of questions and rules that are intrusive.

Clean clean clean...great beach and views from the house and yard! Very nice and comfortable house. No critters in the house at all, and that’s a blessing.

A Wonderful Beach House
Our family of five had a wonderful time at this vintagey beach house! The crashing waves, no people and whale/turtle watching suited us perfectly. The house was old but fixed up nicely and fit the feel of "yesterday's" Hawaii. It wasn't a great swimming beach but the view was incredible and the walks down the beach were perfect. The owner was very involved with the check in and check out procedures, which we were not use to - it took up a fair amount of time. She is very thorough about all the rules...it seemed a bit much. That being said she obviously puts in a lot of time and effort making the house inviting with welcome gifts, flowers, etc. We will always remember our time there as being our very best family vacation so far!

Hawaiian Family Spring Break
Beautiful and wonderful place to stay with a million dollar view! Our family of four (two adults and two teens) spent seven days enjoying the quite north shore. Walked the beach every day making memories while viewing the sunsets, turtles, whales, and swimming in the amazing Hawaiian waters. The famous north shore town of Haleiwa is close by and visited by many.
This Hawaiian style beach home was welcoming, clean, and had everything we needed (amenities were as listed and in good condition). The WiFi was speedy and strong (which our teens listed as their #1 favorite amenity).
Stephanie was enjoyable to work with and responsive. She is truly invested in ensuring her guest's stays are without issue. Thank You!
We hope to return someday and recommend the Mokuleia Classic Hawaiian Beachfront Home!

Great views and Comfortable, cozy home away from home.
Wonderful beachfront cottage in quiet neighborhood. Owner has thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and ready to take advantage of all the north shore has to offer. House is spacious, private, and stocked with quality kitchen supplies, cookware and linens. Waialua’s Saturday farmer’s market was well stocked with fresh veggies and other foods. Good shops, restaurants and grocery store just a few minutes drive to Haliewa. Location of this property was convenient to other north shore beaches, Dole Plantation, Waiamea Valley and Kaena Point. Great stay in a spacious, comfortable home in a nice area.

Wonderful Winter Getaway!
We had an amazing time here! Thank you Stephanie for sharing your beautiful property with us. We wanted a more private, beach side, setting and this is exactly what we got. The house was very well appointed with everything we needed. Our party of 5 was extremely comfortable there and the location was amazing. The beach was quiet even at high season. We were entertained by breaching whales, surfers offshore and turtles on the beach. The location was beautiful and close enough to Haleiwa to quickly run into town if we needed any supplies. Stephanie was responsive and very helpful with anything we needed and even came and brought us a Christmas surprise. Thank you once again for an extremely memorable stay! We absolutely loved it!

Quiet, comfortable
We spent Thanksgiving at this beach home and found everything we needed to be at home and comfortable. The first night our arrival was late (after10pm) and Stephanie the owner was on hand to greet us and share information about the house and area. This was appreciated and had never happened on any of our prior VRBO rentals. Stephanie also stayed in touch during our time in her families home she even brought us a pie for our Thanksgiving dinner!!
The house is older ( it belonged to her grandparents) but well supplied and decorated tastefully to maintain its country charm. We found plenty of kitchen items, beach gear that we were encouraged to use and super soft linens!! Games, kid items, books for rainy days everything we could have needed was available.
We had a pesky chicken come by quite often and made use of the broom to run it off several times! During our stay the North Shore experinced some of the biggest waves for years 30-45 ft swells! That was something to see, but did prevent accessing the beach for about 3 days! Bummer!
If you are looking to get away from crowds and truly relax then this is the place to be. We would definitely return to this lovely country home.

not quite fully as expected.
Lovely view and location beach but not great for swimming or snorkeling. Rooster and chicken everywhere which were noisy.

Great place to stay to have a real Hawaiian experience. Owner made sure we were taken care of.
This is a traditional beach property that is well taken care of and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The best part is that we saw turtles every day off the beach directly off the property. The snorkeling was great too. We loved visiting the local town and it had great places to eat and shop.

Wonderful, amazing ocean views! Peace, sand, quiet...heavenly.
Beautiful sweet beach cottage—so homey and comfortable. Vintage cottage is very well maintained with high quality updates. Peaceful and lovely location with the best ocean views and green lawn you could ever want. Outdoor access to the two showers are a real plus! Fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms with outdoor shed containing beach chairs and toys/masks, snorkels, etc so all you have to bring is your clothes and food! Perfect vacation spot for those seeking peace and quiet but not be too far from the action. Haleiwa is less than 10 min drive away with lots of shops, restaurants, and activities.

Wonderful Place to Stay for Spring Break!
Great location. Loved the snorkeling off the back yard--saw three huge turtles during 3 consecutive days! Beautiful view and perfect yard for playing croquet. Very comfortable beds. There are doors to the outside for both showers, so washing off after swim is very easy. Really liked the "great room" interior with pass-through window to kitchen. I'll stay here again!
