Traveled from Tulsa to Tacoma for a week's stay and so enjoyed the proximity of this location as a hub for our PNW day-trips, e.g., Port Orchard foot-ferry to downtown Seattle, Owen Beach, etc. Also, we found access to downtown rail, bus and trolley system just a quick/short walk.
Hospitality: Host made the check-in process easy, communicating early and as needed over the course of our stay. Arrived to find wonderful kitchen-living setup for hosting friends/family and updated appliances, including full washer/dryer-dedicated laundry room. Especially appreciated the AC as the temp in Tacoma rose to Tulsa-like conditions of 90+ degrees (an anomaly).
Would highly recommend this location for others.

Beautiful apartment rental
We rented the apartment more for functional purposes for myself and my managers to be close to a new business opening. the apartment was in a great location. The host was accommodating and responsive to requests. The appliances were great, kitchen well stocked. There is nightlife below but the bedroom is situated in the back of the apartment where it is quiet. Good restaurants close and a park within a block. It's a great spot.

Good Space
Travis was great to work with - very responsive and positive. The area was mostly closed up and pretty quiet due to Covid shutdowns but that was fine for us. Got a lot of space and nicely decorated. Worked very well for us as interim housing for two months.

Nice place
The condo was nice and manager was great! Not super kid friendly but that was fine considering the circumstances of having to virtual school and work during our stay, we made it work. . Would definitely recommend for younger couples or business travelers. We had an excellent experience and restaurants nearby made getting meals easy plus being able to cook was a huge benefit. Also parking was an added bonus.

Spectacular
I cannot say enough about this wonderful condominium or the Owner. The condo came with all of the essentials, even a bottle of wine. Travis was gracious and allowed me in a day early. The artwork was spectacular, loved the brick wall, working area with a desk was great. The neighborhood had a lot of amenities and there was a restaurant a door away. I will definitely go back. Loved everything about this rental!

Fabulous host, Stunningly Beautiful Unit ... & an Excellent Location!
My wife and I have been delighted wth our stay at Tarvis' beautiful property! From the gracious and warm manner in which he personally welcomed us on arrival to the countless thoughtful touches throughout this beautifully appointed unit ... choosing to stay in this place has been an excellent decision!
The sunlight and the very tasteful artwork will captivate you as soon as you enter the apartment. And then each room & each space has numerous little touches that totally set this unit apart from most others on VRBO, HomeAway or AirBnB. The supplies provided in the kitchen and the bathrooms are of a wide variety and of high quality, and more than enough to last during a long stay. The welcome hamper of two bottles of Washington wine, 6-7 local craft beers, couple of chocolate bars and a fresh Orchid flower arrangement -- what a nice way to welcome the guests ... we sincerely appreciate Travis' gesture and warm hospitality!
As for the car, Travis has even provided a covered parking garage in the back of the house.
The location itself is excellent -- very safe ... close to several good restaurants and bars (The Office, Matador, etc.), local Farmers Market (on Thursdays); places to walk/jog (Foss Waterway, Tacoma Waterfront/ Ruston Way, Wright Park); an excellent supermarket (Stadium Thriftway); and some top notch museums (Museum of Glass, Tacoma Art Museum, etc.).
Overall, we would rate our stay as top notch and whole heartedly recommend this place to other guests planning to visit Tacoma.
Thank you, Travis, for making our stay so very comfortable and for being a fabulous host!!

Fabulous place, great time
Our introduction to Tacoma couldn't have been better. This apartment was luxurious and comfortable, in a great central location. The owners spared nothing to make sure we had every convenience, and the details were all much more upscale than we were used to with your typical vacation rental. We enjoyed many restaurant meals nearby and easily located a good supermarket so we could also prepare meals in the apartment. Big plus: super comfy bed. P.S. Best bakery ever nearby- Corina's. Stay for coffee.

A home away from home; look no further!
My husband and I needed to be in the Tacoma area for work and could not have chosen a lovelier place to spend the month of June. The owners, Laura and Marty, are gracious and quite fun! I enjoy cooking and was never in need of anything while preparing a meal- the kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc. When I did not want to cook, it was easy to choose a restaurant from the many within walking distance. Walk a block to Fireman’s Park or just a bit further to Dock Street to enjoy not only water views, but also a picturesque view of Mt. Rainier. The bed is big and comfortable- a comfortable bed is important! Though a car is not necessary, Seattle, Mt. Rainier, Gig Harbor, and many wineries and breweries are easy to access with one. We live over 2,000 miles way and look forward to our next visit!

Seven Months of Comfort
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying in Laura and Marty's condo. It was extremely comfortable, especially the big bed, and well stocked with everything we needed for our extended stay, including a yummy surprise for our first night. It is convenient to an assortment of restaurants, grocery stores, superb bakery, and many of the tourist locations that Tacoma has to offer. The Ruston WaterWalk is spectacular and less than 10 minutes away. We really enjoyed getting to know Laura and Marty and look forward to staying in the condo again soon!

Extended stay perfection
We were so pleased that we selected this loft for our visit and family reunion in late August. We found the place to be exactly as detailed and pictured. Laura was a great host and we truly enjoyed her company as well. We had our prized kitty with us and she too enjoyed the stay. There is no question that we will stay again on our next trip to Tacoma; next time will be for a longer stay as well. When you stay, really, spend a few moments and examine the craftsmanship and detail of the woodwork and the finishes. They put quality work in so you can feel comfortable in your surroundings.

Fantastic week in Tacoma
This apartment/Condo was a perfect match for us. The place is gorgeous with exposed brick and hardwood floors. Downtown Tacoma was a great location for us. Laura is very accommodating and we felt very much at home. we plan to return next year and give it our highest recommendation

Tacoma Gem
We stayed at this condo for the month of July 2014. We found it absolutely delightful. Our first urban experience. We loved being downtown steps away from great restaurants, museums, farmer's market and interesting walks.
The condo is spacious, comfortable and fully furnished. One only need bring their own clothes and food. Very secure building with a keyed street entrance and a keyed condo door.

Second Time Around and stayed for two memorable months!
Last summer we thoroughly enjoyed a month at this beautiful, spacious, unique condo which has fabulous art work and all the amenities we needed. We were so impressed by the gracious, available owner, gorgeous well-equipped condo, access to fabulous museums, pubs, restaurants, and only a five minute ride to Ruston Way on Commencement Bay, that we decided to stay for two months in 2014. We enjoyed every day of our stay, and we hope to add a third month to our stay in 2015.
This June & July afforded perfect summer weather. We walked along Pacific Avenue daily, went to the Glass Museum and Art Museum, favorite pubs and restaurants, and took advantage of the Tacoma Library on Tacoma Ave, and the Thursday outdoor Market just a few blocks away. We frequented "The Office", a pub on the first floor of this building. The owner is charming, the staff is friendly, and the food and drinks are reasonable and satisfying. Our other routine was to take a five minute drive to Ruston Way along Commencement Bay which offers great views and a wide choice of restaurants. A caring, available owner, fabulous space, friendly, diverse city, and perfect summer weather is hard to beat.

Wonderful Downtown Tacoma Find
My husband and I just had a wonderful stay in one of Laura's condos. Our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer. Great location, vibrant local neighborhoods and very comfortable accommodations with attentive owner management!

Corporate housing heaven
I absolutely loved staying in this condo. I travel often for work and usually need comfortable, fully-furnished housing for medium-term lengths of time. (1-2 months) This unit was the nicest I have ever found, and the monthly rates are a fantastic deal. The host was wonderful and has created a space far above and beyond a typical corporate housing option. This is a great location downtown, but with easy access in and out of the city as well. I can't imagine any suite in a downtown hotel could compare to this apartment. After a 12-hour travel day to get to Tacoma, a bottle of my favorite wine chilled and waiting on me was a lovely touch. Cheers to Laura for such a great experience.

Great Home away from Home for the Holidays
Just got back from 8 days at this fantastic condo with my husband and our two kids. We felt very much at home. The location was fantastic for First Night New Years Eve and we hosted several family members on different evenings for meals. The condo was well stocked (but could use a few more plates, bowls, etc for hosting guests), felt very safe and Laura thinks of all the small details to make it a great home away from home. We took advantage of the downtown tram to local museums, followed some great restaurant recommendations. Easy walk to antique row, tram and local coffee shops and restaurants. I was impressed with how clean and fresh the place felt. I have rented all over the world and this is one of the cleanest and well stocked places I have stayed. Thanks Laura for a great spot in downtown Tacoma!

Great Place to Stay in Tacoma
My wife and I were in the midst of moving to the Puget Sound area for a new job but unfortunately our house wasn't available for a month. We went online to VRBO to see if we could find a temporary place to stay that wasn't a "corporate" apartment or a long stay hotel. And we lucked out. First of all this place is exactly as advertised even though the photos really don't do it justice. Spacious and beautifully laid out, it's a renovated loft with the intimacy of old brick walls and expertly reconditioned original hardwood floors combined with all the amenities of modern day living. Located in the Tacoma theater district on Pacific Ave. which has just gone through a great urban renovation itself, it stands out as a great place to stay. With quite a few good restaurants and clubs close by as well as the outstanding Pantages and Rialto theaters, it's easy to find reasons to not leave the area. But if you do, the I-705 freeway entrance is just a block away and if you have a car, a private secure garage is provided downstairs. The owners live in the building also and couldn't have been more accommodating and gracious. The building was originally a warehouse, which they bought 11 years ago totally gutting and remodeling it into beautiful apartments. They're both artists and the space was filled with an eclectic range of their original art as well as other artists. In short, if it wasn't for the fact that our new home is only 10 miles away, we would love to use this place as an occasional getaway. A must for anybody who appreciates warm, inviting, home away from home accommodations without the corporate attitude.

Perfect Urban Location
We spent 4 weeks this summer at Laura and Marty's condo. Laura and Marty were very helpful in getting us checked in and they are perfect hosts! There when you need them and not when you don't. The Condo is beautiful and perfectly decorated with the owner's art work. A large garage is shared with the owners and there two motorcycles! Laura's is a Ducati! All kitchen appliances are excellent and all the necessary utinsels are provided including excellent cutting knives.
The location is perfect for walkers. Excellent attractions, restaurants and coffee houses are all a short walk away. Every Thursday is Farmers market just one block away. All the necessary fresh produce you'll need for a week's cooking. The Sound Transit light rail is one block away. No cost to ride and covers all of downtown Tacoma including the train station that has the Sounder Train to Seattle. No need to drive your car at all when going to Seattle.
The weather was perfect. Blue skys, mild temperatures and no rain for 30 days! What a great change from the Exteme Heat Warnings that came up daily on the Phoenix weather report. In summary, this is your perfect rental option. We have been renting for several summers and this is the ideal Condo and location made perfect by excellent hosts!

Perfect condo. Perfect weather. Gracious hosts. We'll be back!
When we arrived at this high-end condo, we were greeted by the owner who offered to help us carry up our luggage. (We're seniors & found the stairs easy to climb.) We were given the keys & were shown how to deal w. the indoor parking space which we were happy to have. When we entered the condo, we were blown away by the beauty and variety of artwork that blended so well w. the exquisite decorating. The owner helped us w. the Wifi info & remote devices for the satellite TV. The open office space is unique, & it's part of the spacious open kitchen, dining area, and living room space. The couch and recliner are extremely comfortable. We were impressed also by all the staples we found in the cabinet in the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room. The welcoming wine, coffee, and chocolates were generous treats.
We've read all the reviews & agree that they are accurate (esp. how kind and accommodating the owners are.) Just wanted to mention a couple of other features that impressed us. The carpentry work throughout is tops (cherry cabinets & Douglas-fir floors). Having a walk-in closet & drawers combined w. the bathroom was unique. We particularly appreciated the way the generous open closet space & drawers were set up, adjacent to the master bathroom. It made it easy to organize our belongings. Storage was fabulous throughout. AC was excellent & easy to raise or lower.
During our stay, we had mild and beautiful weather, which many parts of our country are not experiencing. The weather was perfect for walks to local museums, restaurants, outdoor markets, the library and shops, and, of course, for walks along the nearby waterways. Appreciated the restaurants and hairdresser suggested by our hosts. All transactions went smoothly, and we received all the info we needed.
Miss our hosts and their gorgeous, unique condo. Hope we have the opportunity to return.

Great Condo
We stayed here during our son's college graduation and it was terrific. In hindsight, I was glad that I waited too long to book hotel rooms for our family. This condo worked out far better and at a better price. The space has been beautifully designed keeping the exposed brick walls and high ceilings, yet there are comfortable zones for reading and hanging out. It is very well equipped. Since our son was moving out of his rental it was great to have such a nice place to relax in, between all of the festivities. The condo location is easy walking to Tacoma's downtown highlights and the Grand Cinema. It was a great find.
