Loved the location. Pictures make the place look larger and newer. Patio was filthy. Outdoor grill was a mess, plus there was no propane tank to boot. Wouldn’t have use it because of terrible the condition of the grill/

No air conditioning. No WiFi. Dirty on the outside. Blinds don't work properly.

This unit and the associated customer service were abysmal. No air conditioning, internet, or access to the community pool and hot tub as promised on the listing. We had a toddler in a 90 degree room and Vacasa offered a fan and never brought it. We ended up leaving and had to fight tooth and nail for a promised refund, and the local team never once communicated with us in over 5 days. We will never book through Vacasa again, and strongly advise against it! Vrbo should drop this unit!

Who rent there place out with no TV access the whole weekend with no TV.The furniture is old and somethings was damage. The hot water doesn't run for your duration of your shower. The patio is so old you can get splenders just sitting on it.The mattress in every room is very uncomfortable. The place needs a serious upgrade.

The property is ran by Vacasa and listed on Vrbo website (found out after checkin). There’s NO cable tv and it was listed. It has tv’s and one tv with Roku tv but it needs the internet for the tv to work. The pictures that’s shown on the website are not the same as the inside look. The place only has updated appliances and no updated furniture etc. Headboard in the second bedroom was broken. There was NO OUTSIDE lighting attached to the house. Lights were good in the neighborhood.

1. Forget that a property management company exists - they will not come to help you. For some reason, the house did not have the keys to the public spa, which was an essential factor in choosing a vacation spot. This was reported to the property manager on the day of arrival through all available communication channels (email, phone calls, messages). A day later, through every communication channel, the answer came that the key should be inside the house. This was not the first time I came to this place, and I made and sent a video of all the places in the house where the key could be. Then, I received a message about how hard they were working to solve my problem. I even believed it, but every day I contacted them and informed them that their hard work in delivering the key to me (!) was not yielding results. Every day in their replies, including the day I left home (!), I received only messages and emails about how hard the property management company was working so that I could get this key.
2. The grill propane tank was empty, which turned out to be beyond the property manager's responsibility. You can cross the grill off the list of services offered to you. For the sake of one or two times of use, not a single guest will buy a balloon, which means the balloon will always be empty! This was not the case in previous years when I stayed in this neighborhood.
Question - should the problem of missing the spa key have resulted in a refund of some of the money?

TV's didn't work, washer/dryer didn't work.
Never received a response from management company after reporting issues. The property, while clean, is dated and had water stains on ceilings. NO WIFI

I want to start by saying if you want a place on the lake this place has wonderful views. However I specifically booked this location because of both lake and hot tub access. However when the key for the amenities was missing the property management through Vacasa was unhelpful and we never were able to access amenities despite multiple conversations where they acted like they would be able to solve the issue. Also not that you need it at a beautiful location but don’t expect tvs to work and no internet. Plenty of towels and sheets and comfy beds but want to warn that if there are issues property management will be unlikely to help.

Lovely view, right on the lake, at the front door of Wisp, and what passes for inexpensive these days. But pretty much everything else was subpar. The house has potential but is in poor repair: broken blinds, missing cabinet knobs, greasy dirt above stove, dust- and bug-covered windows and screens, a bare-essentials kitchen, TVs that just did not work, a broken window frame that has been taped together for over a year, uncomfortable mattress in master. And you know from the listing that there is no wifi. If you want something cheap and can entertain yourself in the evenings, this might work for two to four people.

The house was nice. No air conditioning which makes the nights pretty miserable to sleep. Overall everything else was nice.

We love the view and lake area!

Overall good experience. Great location. Great views. Nice house, nice pool.
Some truly minor issues should be addressed.
1 Garbage disposal needs repair.
2 No frying pan for cooking.
3 Second floor balcony should have appropriate outdoor furniture.
4 Toilet exhaust fans should be checked for good operation.

Centrally located and convenient to restaurants and shopping. Disappointed in condition of condo. Property in some serious need of repair and updating. Dishwasher did not work, multiple areas of water damage, broken blinds, etc. Overall did not meet expectations.

After a couple of trips up the lift you start to learn the general hatred of VRBO admin fees; they DOUBLE the tab. But if the place is nice you forgive these transgressions and this place fell short. Positives; it fit our group, had a kitchen and access to pool/hot tub for our teens and was close to skiing. Negatives (and I'm only listing the major ones) the shared bath upstairs had a toilet on the loose, the shower curtains in both were dirty gross and ill fitted, the master bath toilet had a constant bubble that was enough to keep us awake AND each time you flushed the toilet you had to manually set the flapper which in the middle of the night is a bummer. We cooked our dinners in the kitchen and the first morning we came down to ants all over everything in the middle of winter. Our teens were incredibly frustrated in the lack of WIFI and I read reviews about how old the TV is and I'll say at this point its a relic. Overall I'm done with VRBO. I'll rent from a local reality company or go lodge/hotel.

Unfortunately, this was not a positive experience for us. This rental lacked in a lot of ways to include non-functioning televisions, very, very outdated furnishings which looked old and not clean. The kitchen was not stocked appropriately. There were four faded drinking cups and one plastic warped cup. The mini blinds on the windows were all broken and bent, but it didn’t make a difference because the windows were so dirty that you did not have a great view of the lake anyway from inside. Having been a homeowner who has rented our home through the same agency, I guess we were a bit surprised at the condition of this rental. We know that there are standards typically for homeowners.

Location! Nice to be on the lake and near Wisp. Other than that nothing good to say about this experience.

Loved the location and the place was a lot better in person Vs pictures. Only downfall, the neighbors were not very friendly.

This house is in a great location however, it is falling apart. The doors are falling off the hinges, the ceiling has many water stains, the floor is swollen under the carpet and we found a used tampon in the one bedroom. Gross!

It looked like it hadn't been used in a while. Cobwebs everywhere. Some of the electrical outlets did not work. does not sleep eight people .. cable didn't always work. TVs are outdated

The townhouse in Ski Harbor was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub several times during our girls weekend. It was strange to not have Wi-Fi available, and the living room television should be updated. Those two easy updates would really enhance the home for future renters.

We love the location! Deep Creek Lake was wonderful!
We are looking forward to coming back next year.

It was on the water and close to many restaurants and attractions. There was no air conditioning! That is why I rated it 3stars. It’s a little outdated and not kept up very well. Clean though! Not enough fans for a unit with no A/C!!!

We had a great time and enjoyed the area. It was a lowkey girls weekend and we spent lots of time in the place and had a great time. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. Only suggestion would be to get wifi internet.

Nice location. Property was clean but needed a little TLC. One window in dining room has a broken outside frame and cold air blew in. Could use bath mats in tubs to prevent slipping. The power in our area went out for about a 1/2 hour and the property managers were easy to work with and responded quickly. Would rent this again

This rental has a lovely view, nice furniture and a good layout. It needs some TLC (windows coming apart, water leakage, screens coming apart) but for the price is a good deal.
Due to multi steps of uneven heights and no railings it is not good for seniors or small children. We are a group of aged 75+ ladies who travel. One lost her balance going down a high step into the living room and slammed into a wall shattering her arm. We had to leave early to bring her home.
You need to add “not handicap accessible” to your listing. Hand rails in bathrooms and all stairs should be added.
We want to return to Deep Creek but would not rent here again for those reasons.

smaller than pictures make it look. Pluses: shared pool & hot tub, tennis/pickleball court, sand volleyball, swings, Gas grill, fans, reasonably clean. Minuses: NOT a sleeper sofa as advertised (can only sleep 4-6, not 6-8) , ALL mattresses need replaced; can feel the springs in twin beds, other beds very uncomfortable too, hurt all of our backs. skillets rusty. no AC, outside screen doors stick badly, toilet ran til we fixed it, & broken chair on upper deck. Bring mattress pads, skillet and comfortable outdoor chairs if you stay there.

the place had plenty of space. Very very clean!! Very comfortable living space!

Although not listed in the "amenities" section it would have been nice for preparing for the trip to have it say somewhere FYI no AC and no Wifi. Since the house was so stuffy when we got there we opened all the windows which were dusty, dirty, and disgusting. All the blinds were old, broken and very dirty.
Once the home was aired out the smell was gone and the temperature was pleasant without AC. Wifi really would have been helpful since we were so far from home and we had trouble even making phone calls.

Beautiful home, clean and convenient. Perfect spot for relaxing and watching the lake activities. Close to everything yet quiet. Highly recommend

Great Location Not Great Condo
Our family of 6 senior citizens (w/our 91 year old mother) enjoyed the view and the convenience of the property. However, there are so many things in the condo that need fixed and updated that it detracts from it. Everything from broken doors, drawers, and lamps to lack of cooking items and burned out lightbulbs and uneven stairs. The deck is in terrible shape and the furniture on it was awful. It needs a lot of fixing-bottom line

Great Lake view.
Very nice stay. Hot tub and pool are community, but secured and nice. Excellent lake view from lower picnic table/ grill area and another deck off the master bedroom.
People who comment bad about this place can’t be pleased. (Do bring a pan to cook in.). Most everything else is provided, including: paper towels, toilet paper. Dishwashing soap, hand towels, bed sheets, etc….

Close to everything
The house is comfortable but not updated. It is clean and has most of what you need. It does however need need kitchen utensils. The one knife handle broke on me while I was cutting bread. This could have easily cut me. Other than that, it worked. The pool had no one in it but us. The kids loved it.

Great location
The house was nice, right on the water. The house provided all we needed as far as towels. They should definetly update the TVs and I would recommend if you are going to be cooking bring your own skillets. It was a snowy March weekend so we had the pool and hot tub to ourselves which was nice.

It was great!
This property was everything we could hope for! It was very easy to book, checking in was seamless, the amenities were all there and open, and we enjoyed our stay.

Great rustic getaway
The house was clean and cozy. There were very few things to use: limited pots and pans, cutlery, no hairdryer, limited cups, chairs, etc. The linens were clean and comfy and plentiful. The welcome pack in the kitchen was a nice touch and the view was amazing. The lack of WiFi made it hard to search for things to do and places to go, but it states there wasn’t any in the description. It obviously needs some updates but the cleanliness makes up for that. But if you’re a person who needs new things and luxury, this isn’t your style. It’s perfect for a small group for skiing or to be out on the lake. Definitely will come back.

Don't bother
Not a nice property. Rodents accessing house constantly through hole in back door. No Wi-Fi. Dining room window held closed with duct tape. Mold and mildew in both upstairs bathrooms. TV in living room is an antique. Pots and pans have all seen better days. Just not a pleasant place to stay!

Great place to stay!
Place could use some upgrades, but overall had a great time!

Old but delightful
Great location and beautiful view of the lake with access to a small beachette. Home was definitely dated as others mentioned but livable for a week. Could really use modern TVs and wifi. The listing didn’t mention a grill so I bought a portable one. Turned out they had a full size gas grill. Unit could have been cleaned better. Lots of hair on the floor and tub in the master bath. Otherwise lovely low key place.

Booking this property online was great. The communication with Melissa (for questions) was very good and prompt. The views from this house are FABULOUS!!! We were able to fish and explore the area for fun. The house is okay but is in need of some TLC. There's a lot of small things that need to be done to upgrade and make it more enjoyable. The patio door sticks and has a metal piece that sticks out. The furniture including TVs need to be updated. The property manager needs to do a thorough inspection of the house between guests. The kitchen pots and pans and toaster need to be checked. Unfortunately, I found scrambled eggs in two pans. I prefer to handwash dishes vs using a dishwasher for this reason. I can tell some roof work has been done near the dining area, but no one painted the water spots. The twin mattresses need to be replaced. Overall, not a bad house, but some much needed TLC would make it much more enjoyable.
