Superb breakfast, conveniently located close to other wine farms. Very comfortable bed
Nothing, everything was fantastic

Beautiful place would definitely go back

Good location, nice staff, good breakfast
Tiny rooms, no sound insulation, you could hear everything coming from shared communal area, no staff is staying overnight - we had alarm beeping over the whole night, and nobody come over to even suppress it…, rooms are poorly maintained, mould in the bathroom, no ventilation, very small outside space
Overpriced

What a haven of peace right next to Simonsberg. Once you're on the premises you're in a different place. Everything about the house, the garden and the scenery exudes calm and peace. The room (n°3) we were at had a little bathroom with a shower. The bed was comfortable and there is a lot of natural light in the room.
The breakfast was fantastic!
everything was perfect during our short stay.

Beautiful location, lovely breakfast with a fantastic view, our room felt like a luxury treehouse, very comfortable, helpful staff.
The walls are paper thin, as long as you don’t mind hearing next doors conversations it’s brilliant.

Super locatie, zéér mooi ! Praktisch gelegen en toch in de natuur ! ik had hier nog wel een nachtje meer kunnen verblijven
eigenlijk niets

The bed
All the stairs to our room, tiny bedroom, nowhere to sit , very poor breakfast.

The house is beautiful, comfortable room in the middle of nature and in a stunning environment. We strongly recommend making it your nest for a night or two while visiting the wineyards around!
Even though we had a fabulous stay, here are areas of improvements: The pool was not very clean, the room had no blinds (so we woke up at dawn) and we had to pay for water which we thought was not very generous.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They helped organize a birthday surprise, breakfast in bed and flowers, for my girlfriend with so much enthusiasm. The property itself is beautiful and lovely and peaceful. The location is perfect as it is close to Stellenbosch and wine farms. Being on solar meant there was no load shedding which feels like a luxury. 10/10!

Fantastic stay in the winelands. Close to many of the top wineries and about 10 minutes drive down into Stellenbosch city. The room was spacious and clean, and staff were friendly and welcoming. The pool area was lovely (with a nice view and comfy loungers!) and the breakfast offering was very tasty and diverse. It looks just like the photos and we always felt safe. The staff were especially accommodating of a late check-out, which was much appreciated.
The house's sound-proofing was not great, so we could hear other guests as the moved around their rooms. Bizarre that drip coffee is included in breakfast but a cappuccino or latte are an extra charge.

A beautifully decorated guest house in a quite area with great restaurants close by (Tokara & Le Pommier). Close enough from Stellenbosch Central - a short Uber ride away. Superb breakfast

Absolutely lovely guesthouse with a great manager and super friendly staff that went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. The breakfast is prepared with a lot of attention to detail with freshly backed breads every day. The rooms are spacious and modern with adjacent bathrooms (however you should be comfortable around your partner as there is no door that can be closed between room and bathroom). The fact that the guesthouse has only 6 rooms makes it a very private and homey stay, where the manager still has time to interact with the guests. The guesthouse is perfectly located if you want to explore other wine farms as e.g. Tokara and Delaire Graff can be reached by foot and also the start of the wine tram in Franschhoek is just a short car ride away.

Zeer jammer..

Perfect location and very quiet.
We stayed for three nights and on both mornings we had to chase the staff to have our room cleaned and this was well after 1pm on those days. For a pricey establishment such as Simonzicht, this was unacceptable.

Fashionable boutique hotel with exceptional service. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast perfect (and far more it's customizable). Many wineries to go around.
Nothing at all. Maybe too quiet and peaceful if you are young

Lovely location, the house is beautifully set up and the rooms are light and spacious. Staff are friendly and we enjoyed our breakfast - especially the fresh home made bread!

Very nice people, delicious breakfast, very comfortable bed, beautiful house and garden.
We came to CapeTown for holidays and a wedding in Stellenbosch and the room was a little too small for our big luggage. We missed a bigger wardrobe to keep the room clean because there was not much space to put our clothes. The house does not serve lunch or dinner, which is a pity considering how good the breakfast is. In any case there are several farms and restaurants to go around.

Beautiful location near some of the top rated Stellenbosch wineries. The pool and breakfast offerings were nice. Our room had a stand alone bath tub we quite enjoyed.

The space is beautiful and so tranquil. An enjoyable farm and country feel
The rooms need a small working desk.

The stunning location, beautiful, elegant decor, the delicious breakfasts, and the wonderful staff.

The location and views are spectacular. The art and overall way the house has been furnished and put together is really something special. Breakfast with home-baked bread etc was also of a high standard.
There wasn't anything we didn't like. Bheki and Ingrid looked after us very well.

The host is adorable, super clean, breakfast small but lovely homemade products.
The house is out of woods and therefore very noisy. Moreover we had power shut downs and therefore no AC and the room was a bit warm. Moreover the guest house is located in a small street in the woods. If you prefer crowded areas this is definitely not the right location.

Location is ok but quite small property
Not worth the high price.
Our room was small and rather dark. It doesn't offer a closed toilet, so you have to go outside the room to use the general toilet. There are no real amenities like a bar, a restaurant or a bigger garden to enjoy. It's all rather small. The wifi didnt work in our part of the house, at least to be able to stream a movie.
The way we were received and checked in also does not reflect how i would expect to be welcomed at a place where i am spending 220€ per night. It was lacking warmth and a sense of professional hospitality.
Again, most of my comments are connected to the price tag. I wouldnt be writing this feedback if the per night cost was around 150€. For comparison, we paid exactly the same for a night at La Cotte in Franschoek a few months ago. What was offered there was at least 2 levels above what you offer.
