For the most part everything was great but , with linens not provided due to Covid, I don’t understand the basis for charging us for “excess” guests? Also, we originally requested a Thursday to Thursday stay to better accommodate family members work schedules which was accepted but owner later came back and demanded Friday to Friday or reservation would be canceled.

On first arrival we were amazed by the beauty of the property and the lodge. We were down by the lake every day for fishing, boating, swimming and water play. Plenty of room for my very large family. Plenty of activites around the area. Marina and her husband as owners were very friendly, helpful and responsive.

Had a short bisinees trip to this property w my friends and co-workers. The check-in is simple, the place was huge and inviting. Stove, grill, AC worked as it should and were clean. We had to bring our own linens and towells but we preferred it anyway. I read some of the negative reviews prior to renting but did not have the same experience. One cant expect a hotel type setting and amenities when renting in the country. The grounds were also well kept and the access to the lake was easy. Thank you fpr kayaks! My friends and I will definitely be back.

We had a great stay at this house. It was very well located for the ski mountains.

The house has comfortable bedrooms and nice bathrooms. Host was easy to reach and dining room included a great working chimney, as listed. Although, the property fell short when we found the dirty kitchen was not suitable for preparing food (both coffee makers had mold, etc..) the grill on the deck was filthy, we had to use aluminum foil on the caked-up, black grates as they have never been cleaned (something the high cleaning fee should cover).

No cleaning supplies. No trash bags(serénelos) The grill was disgusting my friend Stephen fell over from inhaling the yuck. Besides that the trash cans are a fallacy. You need more than the recommended amount seems like a set up. We got charged for cigarets we didn’t smoke. We got charged anyway but saw some reviews and this has happened before. On top of that our $400 cleaning supply for blown threw the window for mediocre work. We we’re charged for the cigs we didn’t smoke. Besides that the house war incredible and well kept just watch out for the details

The design of this house is incredible. Lots of living space and all the en suite bed baths are large enough that you can retreat if you need to. It has a delightful camp atmosphere. Neither the furniture nor the kitchen is so luxurious you can't be comfortable, but they are both adequate to the way you would enjoy a house like this. The cleaning team needs to pay attention to ceiling fans and vanity lights, but the bathrooms and kitchen were clean otherwise.

Our group of 12 had a great time at this home over Labor Day weekend. Everyone enjoyed having their own bathroom and got a kick out of the themes of the different bedrooms. There is a beer store 10 minutes away and a Giant 15 minutes away where we did all of our shopping. As far as activities go, the volleyball net and the basketball hoop were big hits- but with a yard that size, the options are endless. There is a path in the corner of the yard that leads you down to the lake where there is a small clearing to launch kayaks from, and while there were a lot of boats out on the lake, there was plenty of room for everyone. Like one of the reviews states the oven takes a little longer to heat and cook, but nothing a few extra minutes didn't solve. Marina was quick to respond to one very minor concern that we had, and was very easy to work with throughout the booking process and during the stay. All in all a great experience!

Great getaway. Lots of space. No neighbors. Easy access to the lake on well maintained path through state game land.

A very nice house with the added unique feature of having multiple en suite bathrooms - a rare find and great for multiple adult guests. Worked very well for our family reunion!

The property was very large and accomodated our family. A few observations...the furniture was very distressed, the kitchen was small compared to the size of the house and the oven took longer than normal to warm the food. Since the trash was only collected once a week, the trash box should have been larger to accomodate more bags.

We had stayed at this house for a friends wedding, and bride actually to ready at this house, and had the rehearsal dinner here. Everything was perfect, so spacious and beautiful! Everyone had their own space and bathroom which made things so easy. Loved the views and the outdoor spaces as well. It's right down the road from a park and 10 minutes from Blue Mountain Resort! The owners were incredibly communicative and accommodating! Would highly recommend for large groups! Thanks for the amazing trip!

We were a group of 18 people including 10 young grandchildren and there was plenty of space for everyone. On a weekend we swelled to 22 people and no problem absorbing them; there are plenty of roll-out cots with linens to accommodate 23 and rooms are large enough to accommodate them. House is surrounded by fields of wildflowers which we went and picked some bouquets but beware of ticks and bees if you venture in that wilderness. Entering the home, your spirits soar about 40 feet to the top of the great room, following the converging lines of the massive rising chimney which serves to divide living from dining spaces. As this was once a B&B, every room has its fireplace and bathroom integral to it. For Swimming you drive five minutes to the Beltzville State park (free) which has a nice beach, picnic tables, and a snack bar. The house has 3 kayaks which must’ve treked to the lakefront down a long trail. The kids loved this house. Plenty of room in and out for them to spread their wings and that they did. We went to a county fair, the world’s largest country general store, an old fashioned ice cream shop , a lakebed full of boulders , etc, but mostly this old writer was content to enjoy the property and do the regular grocery shopping at a GIANT about 10-15 min. Away.

The owner will try to find a way to keep your deposit so be very careful if you ever try to book this place. I would highly recommend other owner over this, we made a mistake not going over the previous reviews from the guest. Before you plan to stay get all the details from the list of things the owner wants in her house otherwise you will end up with surprises.

The lodge was absolutely stunning. Perfect for my family and I getting ready the morning of my wedding. One thing to note that even though the location has individual bathrooms per room and a nice kitchen and eating space, it does not include any amenities like coffee for the coffee maker or toiletries for the bathrooms, or paper towels. I would still recommend this location- above all it was very comfortable and absolutely beautiful.

When we first pulled down the driveway, we were extremely impressed by the house and property. The property was well groomed and there was plenty of room for lawn games. More impressive was when we entered the house. It was extremely roomy and immaculately clean. We had rented the whole house and were extremely satisfied. For several days we had up to 20 people and we never felt crowded or in each other's way. There was enough seating for all of us at the two tables that we were able to eat together. The owners were very accommodating and responded to all of our inquiries within hours. I would highly recommend this rental not only for the house, but for dealing with the owners. Ken Fasano

We had a gathering of,young,families,and,there was no lack of activities ranging from,boating, kayaking, fishing, swimming and hiking. The house is so so comfortable. Pictures don't do it justice and we had plenty of space to,roam. Fooseball table was a big hit so,were the bonfire and banmington. 5 acre property surrounded by acres of state park land makes it feel like you are on own giant estate. Beach is minutes away for swimming and Blue Mountain and Town of Jim Thorpe is very close. Restaurants and activities at Jim Thorpe are many and for every taste. Will,come,back every year 4 sure.

Great house and grounds, which is comfortable for a large family such as ours. Reasonable for the accommodations too. Beach close by. Fishing 5 min, golfing 10 min, zip lining 15 min, dining to all tastes. I can keep going, but you got to see for yourself.

Great house and even greater people to deal with while renting. This was our 2nd time renting this beautiful property and would without a doubt rent it again. We had plenty of space for our large group gatherings, as well as privacy for all (with private bathroom for each family). Very quiet an secluded, yet close to the lake and local activities. So many fun things to explore in the area. Kayaking on the lake, hiking to the waterfalls and winery nearby were some of our favorites. Historic Jim Thorpe is also a short drive away and we all loved it.

This place was exactly as shown in the pictures, nice big bedrooms and clean bathrooms. Deck was really big and can accommodate lot of people. House was very neat and Marina was really helpful in replying to our needs whenever we called. We shall definitely suggest and revisit this place again in future. Best Regards, Ritesh

As I write this review I'm still waiting for my security refund BUT I’m risking what she might blame me for now that I am writing this review but I feel other travelers should be aware. DON’T deal direct, pay the fees & let vrbo / HomeAway fight your battle. The fireplaces: some work & some don’t, we couldn’t get the living room one to work & when I called the response I got was well it worked last weekend?!? Her husband who was very nice than helped us out & got it working & we ended up not calling her re: the others not working because it was fine without it. Bedrooms have TV's, HOWEVER only 2 TV’s (living room and king suite) have cable. The rest are smart TV’s that you can login into your personal account BUT the WiFi is so poor all they do is the buffering circle. FYI: some bedrooms DO have a VHS options & others have DVDs. House has a lot of flies in it which I thought was weird for the time of year, fridge & stove top didn’t work correctly. THIS HOUSE IS A 6-bedroom house that you can pay additional $$ for the 7th bedroom king suite. Our group was 21 people & if I hadn’t noticed the little red line around the 7th room picture online stating this was an additional fee we would have been screwed. When I requested info, it was through the app, the app only goes to 13 ppl BUT in my original info email I said how many we were BUT she didn’t see that & she quoted it with 6 bedrooms (which I don’t see how that is legal, whether I am 13 ppl or 21, your listing says 7 BEDROOMS: I want 7 bdrm). 2 wks before we came out I asked her to confirm we rented the whole house, she said NO. After showing endless evidence that I said we were 21, in the end we compromise on the additional fee she charged me cause we had no choice we had pain in full already. Trash: U R allowed 8 bags per stay & they charge $$$ for each added bag. The trash was over flowing, I took a pic to show her when we got there so we didn’t get blamed. She still gave us a hard time. We put our trash on the curb as directed & even took some home with us (gross) so she didn’t charge us. This is absurd! We are 21 ppl worried about how much trash we are producing. We were staying for 4 days & when u pay over a thousand a night trash shouldn't be a worry on vacation. I'm a vrbo user & owner & we take pride in treating others home with how we would want our house to be treated & I’ve never dealt with so much nonsense in a rental EVER! We were group of 19 people including children and we all enjoyed a lot. Temperature setting and options were excellent. Clean air, clean home, beautiful landscaping and view. I recommend this to people who like to enjoy as a group. Kitchen was equipped with all appliances and set up. Utensils.

I rented the lake house for my 30th birthday with 18 of my closest friends. The sleeping situation was perfect for everybody, the house is gorgeous inside and out. The house is fully stocked in everything and the setup is great for a large group of people being in one area. The views from the deck you can see the lake and the property. We stayed here in November but it was suited for year round activities. I would recommend this house to anyone that wants to get away and breathe some fresh air. Everyone of my friends are still talking about how great of a time it was. I would definitely rent this house again once in every season to get the full experience. Thank you

Stayed here with siblings/spouses, total of 12, and had a wonderful weekend. The common areas - living room and dining room - was plenty big enough for 12 of us. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, cutlery, glasses, pots and pans. Each of the six bedrooms have a gas fireplace and spacious bathroom. There is a nice grocery store, Shop Rite, about 10 minutes away, to stock up for your stay. Marina responded quickly to any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again.

I may have had few nice things to say.. but what ruined our experience about this property is the owner – I am really shocked how she accused us about few things and kept the security deposit. • Garbage – we were large crowd (7 families with kids), so of course we had trash for 5 days of stay. She wanted us to take our trash and dump it outside on the street. However, the contract and check-out document at the property stated leave all your trash behind the house in the respective bins. I personally separated all recycles plastics, cardboards, glass, cans etc and left regular trash in the designated area. They were only 2 bins for regular trash, so I had to leave other bags outside. Here comment, and I quote: “You did not separate recycles and left a mountain of garbage for us to clean”. • Two King size pillows – she texted me if we took king size pillows from master. I responded, none of us did and if you are not able to locate them, I understand and trust her. She can deduct cost from deposit.. however, she insisted stating, and I quote: “you guys took kings size pillows from master bedroom”. • Candle spill on porch – she (again) texted me there is candle spill and wax is all over the porch. I receive a picture from her which shows one candle that fell on the porch and spilled in a small area. I have no excuse, but her words and again I quote: “candle was spilled all over the porch and now she has to clean it” • Cigarette butts – she is telling me she found cigarette butts “all over the property”. Now, we only had one person who smoked and because of the kids – he always stayed out by garbage area and few times on the porch.. but always collected butts in a tray. I could buy if she found few butts in this area. But all over the property … please give me a break!!! • A dirty diaper in one bathroom – one of us left a diaper in bathroom during last min rush, not on the floor but in a trash bin…and her message, I quote: “you guys left dirty diapers in the house” • One spill on the carpet – which I have no excuse and again I asked her to do what is necessary. So, in reality – she charged us 500 bucks for two pillows, one stain, one candle spill on porch and taking one dirty diaper out ... Unbelievable!!! We did not complain about sticky kitchen floors, leaks from fridge, dirty cups and coffee machine, bugs inside the house, shoe stuck in sofa, rusted outdoor grill ... On top of all - she was extremely rude in her responses !! Be careful ...
