About this house rental

Let our home be yours when you visit the historic town of Hill City, SD. Centrally located in the beautiful Black Hills. We just purchased this town home which was built in 2006. You will find the main floor with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, and the lower level with 2 bedrooms and one bath. A living area and kitchen area on each level, providing lots of space for larger groups. A larger area for extended family or friends traveling together while giving some privacy. Freshly painted and new carpet make this town home just like new. New beds and the bedding and towels are provided for your use. Plenty of windows and great views off the deck. The deck is a perfect spot to enjoy an outdoor BBQ or just sit and relax, read a book or just simply enjoy the views. Off in the distance you will hear the sounds of the 1880 Train. Full kitchen on main level, dishes, pots and pans, and coffee pot are provided in case you choose to make your own meals. Lower level with partial kitchen with fridge, counters and sink. Dining out is near by with the Alpine Inn, Hill City Cafe and even Subway. While the town of Hill City offers many activities and unique shops such as The Farmer's Daughter, it is also centrally located to most tourist attractions in the hills. If you enjoy biking, jogging or walking, the Mickelson Trail is just a few blocks away, providing 104 miles of the most beautiful views in the hills. Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore, and Custer State Park are with in 15 minutes. You can find winter sports, Spearfish Canyon, and casinos to the north just one hour away. Hiking to the top of Harney Peak, or enjoying boating, fishing and water activities is also near by in Custer State Park, Sheridan Lake or Lake Pactola. Just pack some clothing and personal items, and you will find the rest right here. Washer and dryer, laundry soap, on the main level, so you can pack lighter! Wall air conditioner in the main level Master Bedroom. Portable air conditioners on each level provide comfort in the hotter months. 32 inch flatscreen tv on main level, 50 inch flatscreen tv in lower level, blue ray player with each tv, and wi-fi. My husband and I traveled with our 3 kids- 20,18, and 16 last week. This cabin was perfect in every way- location, cleanliness, size. Everyone was able to have their own room to spread out. We spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking Hill City. Julie was amazing to work with. Book this property- you won't be sorry!

We really loved this property. It fit our space needs traveling with our adult children and grandson. Plenty of room, very clean and a super view of Hill City and the surrounding Hills. So very happy with our rental!!! One of the cleanest rentals I believe we've ever rented, and very very spacious. The pics don't do it justice. The location is great with a great view of the train depot and all of downtown Hill City! There was nothing we were lacking - owner even provided a pack-n-play for our infant grandson. So very kind of her!! Communication with the owner was perfect. She was always available and quick to answer my questions and was very patient. If we are ever in the area and need a rental that size, there's no doubt we will try to rent this one! You can't go wrong!!!

The property was fantastic! It was spacious and comfortable. The convenient location enabled us to leave at a reasonable time each morning to enjoy day trips to Sylvan Lake, Mt. Rushmore, Deerfield Reservoir and Spearfish Canyon. We'd return mid-afternoon to relax on the deck and enjoy the view of Hill City and its surroundings. Had a great visit. House was very clean and spacious. Location was excellent. Lots to see and do. Rented E bikes in town and rode the Mickelson trail (the original railway that connected deadwood to Custer) to an old town called Rocheford and had a wonderful lunch before riding back to Hill City. Also riding ATV’s in Custer park was a blast. PS be sure to visit Deadwood and Sturgis.

We had 4 adults, 4 teens, and 2 elementary-aged kiddos with us to take in all that the Black Hills has to offer. The location of the house in Hill City was perfect - walking distance to Main Street and the grocery store and a beautiful view of Hill City. The house had plenty of space for our large group so we could all spread out and sleep comfortably. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Julie was quick to respond to questions and checked in with us a couple of times during our stay. We were worried about the lack of central air given we were there in July, but the house was plenty cool with the ACs they have on site and several fans. I highly recommend this house!

Large, clean and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay in this house. We ate meals on the deck with a beautiful view - played games at night in the upstairs living room- had movie night in the downstairs living room. The kids loved the bunk room. All the beds were comfortable- bathrooms were clean and spacious. The kitchen was efficient with plenty of cookware and eating utensils and dishwater. We would highly recommend this rental.

Our family enjoyed this location, as it was centrally located to Mt Rushmore, Deadwood, Lead, etc. The house was decorated cute, very clean and had comfortable mattresses with the benefit of a garage. Julie was a great hostess with tons of information via text on restaurants! Loved it, and we will be back!

Perfect spot for our daytrips around the hills

This was a great location, cozy home, and plenty of space. We stopped at the local grocery store (very close) so we could cook breakfast each morning, make sandwiches for lunch, and head out on our daily adventure. We had a group of 6 (3 adults and 3 kids). The kids were happy to have their own beds. The beds were all comfortable and the furniture both upstairs and downstairs was cozy. We ended up with several inches of snow our last day, so we came back to the house early to grill steaks and watch the snow fall over the great view. I would recommend this property to friends and stay here again if we decide to tour the black hills again. We went to Mount Rushmore (morning and evening since it was so close), Custer, Bear Country, and the Mammoth site. There were still many activities that we did not have time (or proper weather) for. We traveled 610 miles in one vehicle, so we packed light and took advantage of onsite laundry as well. A+ vacation!

This was the perfect place for the 4 of us to stay! We each wanted our own bedroom and this property was perfect! Having 3 bathrooms, garage, the view and the quiet also met our approval! Loved having a kitchen for breakfast and snacks! So fun to be in Hill City and centrally located in the Hills!! My co traveling companions kept complementing me for renting this location! The owner, Julie, was very responsive to questions and requests! We’ll be back!
