About this house rental

This 1868 renovated house is within walking distance to several local attractions, such as beautiful Historic Downtown New Braunfels, Wurstfest and tube rentals. Conveniently located near three River Outfitters, the Comal River is within a football field away. This house has a very laid-back and down home feel. It is fully furnished including stocked kitchen cabinets, washer & dryer, towels, etc.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the quaint front porch before starting your fun-filled day. This house has cable and internet for your enjoyment, along with games.
The stocked kitchen is equipped with a stainless steel refrigerator, oven, microwave, toaster, crockpot, blender, utensils and more.
There is an attached laundry room that is supplied with detergent and folding counter.
The dining room is located between the kitchen and living room, which is great for entertaining.
The first bedroom has a queen sized pillow top mattress. There is a dresser and desk, along with an armoire for hanging your clothes. There is a full sized bed in the second bedroom, along with a dresser. Extra pillows and blankets are provided.
The bathroom, which includes a tub/shower combo, connects the two bedrooms. The bathroom includes towels, hand soap, and toilet paper.
Bring your BBQ to cook on the gas grill located near the back yard and picnic table. Propane provided!
Guest parking is located behind the cottage.

Railroad track located alongside the house is privately owned and only used occasionally during the day. This train has NO HORN!

We absolutely loved our stay here! This is the 2nd year in a row that we have stayed at this Vrbo and we would 100% do it again. The old home has so much character and the host goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. We floated the river twice and its convenient location right next to Texas Tubes was ideal. Highly recommend this vrbo to anyone who comes to New Braunfels.

We love staying here so much that we were here last week and came back again this week. This house is situated perfectly for people who wanted to on the Comal. Texas tubes is right down the driveway from where the house is located and if you're going to Schlitterbahn it's less than a 5 minute drive. We will town. definitely be back the next time we're in town.

This house was perfect! The location for tubing and easy walk to the square. It was so peaceful and homey. It was well stocked with everything we needed. The master bed could have been better, but we made the best of it. Sitting on the front porch watching the tubers come and go, drinking coffee and being entertained by all of the deer that live in the neighborhood,,those were my favorite things. We would definitely stay here again.

This house is perfect for a getaway. So close to the Comal entrance. I think it took us 1-2 minutes to walk. House is super clean and stocked with items like scissors. All the appliances work great. Veronica, property manager, is amazing. Very easy to communicate with and very helpful. Will absolutely stay here again!!

This was the best property to stay at in New Braunfels! Next to Texas Tubes, minutes from Schlitterbahn and right near the downtown area. Clean, comfortable little house to stay in with plenty of space for the 4 of us. We loved our stay and will be back.

My husband and I stayed at this charming cottage for three nights, and it was absolutely perfect. The lovely decorations and thoughtful layout made us feel right at home. Each room had ceiling fans, which was a great touch, and the location couldn't have been better. The cottage retains its authentic charm while offering all the modern updates you could imagine, including tinted windows that keep the house cool and provide privacy. Veronica, the property owner/manager, was outstanding—extremely responsive and always available if we needed anything. The convenience of Texas Tubes being only about 75 yards away made river access a breeze. We brought our own tubes, but whether you bring your own or rent, it’s $25 either way with an additional same-day float for just $15. What you are paying for is easy river access and a bus that picks you up at the end of the float and brings you right back to the entrance. Local restaurants are within walking distance, adding to the overall convenience. There was nothing negative about our experience; everything was simply perfect. The local people are the friendliest you will find. We plan on visiting again very soon. Highly recommend!

We met for my Aunt's 75 birthday. We rented cabins and the blue house. It was wonderful for hanging out. It was also steps feom the Camal River. We enjoyed a float trip too. The kitchen had everything we needed. The gas grill was perfect for cooking out. We used the house as the hub for family meals. We spent most of out time hanging out in the outdoor spaces, which are lovely. Ot was also good for each of us tonhave our own cabins, when we needed down time.

This is a great place to stay if you want to float the Comal, go to Schlitterbahn, or visit downtown NB. Literally a 90 second walk to Texas Tubes on the Comal. Short drive (7-10mins) to either section of Schlitterbahn (depending on the day of the week and traffic). Walkable to downtown shops and restaurants if it’s not too hot (otherwise 3–5 min drive). The place was clean, cool, and comfortable. There were games that our family enjoyed playing. Hope to return someday and would highly recommend to others.

This is the second year that we stayed at Veronica's home, and we loved it. The location is perfect, walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The house itself is clean, well equipped, and the beds were very comfortable. We really enjoy sitting on the porch and people watching.

What a cute little bungalow! Nicely decorated and well kept. It’s old, so it’s perfectly funky with uneven floors and little quirks. Walkable to Landa River Rides, as well as downtown…so it’s a perfect location. A great front porch with fans give a nice place for morning coffee. The only down side was out of the property owner’s control, and that was the place across the street had a radio playing nonstop right-wing talk radio the entire time. To each their own, but the constant stream of conspiracy theories was a bit annoying. Still, it was a great little place and we recommend it! Oh, one other thing…it’s on the train tracks, so when that morning train goes by, if you’re not awake yet, you will be when it shakes the entire structure and the horn blasts, lol! That was kinda fun, actually.

My daughters and I really enjoyed this property! The location was great, we just walked down and jumped in the river, and everything else was just a short drive. Veronica was quick to respond to questions and we would definitely stay here again!

Veronica was the best to work with; so so friendly. The home was wonderful, very clean, and fully stocked. One of the best places we’ve stayed. Wish we could have stayed longer. Loved sitting on the front porch for early morning coffee. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

We were in New Braunfels for a visit to Schlitterbahn and stayed at this home for two nights. Parking was right next to the back door for easy access in and out. Paper goods, plates, eating utensils and cooking utensils were plentiful. The shower has good water pressure and there were enough towels for the four of us. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable and the AC works GREAT! It was a treat for the little ones to be next to the railroad track. The hostess was very attentive. We had a very minor plumbing issue in the kitchen that did not affect our stay AND it was repaired within hours of us reporting the issue. It was a delight to meet the owner and learn about the history of the home. They take pride in their property and you can expect to receive top notch attention if you need anything while you are there.

This house couldn’t have been more perfect for us! We were coming to town to float the river and we didn’t realize how close it was to the entrance onto the river until we got there, we were in walking distance!! There is everything you could need at the house. It is such a cute little home and we never heard the train the whole weekend we were there. The area is very nice and quiet. Perfect for the family. Thank you for being such a great host!
