We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Eagles Landing. Our family of four drove down from Minnesota to visit the Smokies and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the space. The view was certainly the main attraction, but the living space was great as well. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Actual in person view of property was better than any pictures. I always think pictures of properties are better than the actual experience, yet this property was the exact opposite. Spectacular! Return visit is definitely in our future!

We LOVED our stay - so quiet and relaxing and the beds were incredibly comfy. The views from the deck were so wonderful we ate at the cabin most nights. Convenient to get to rafting and hiking trips and Bryson City. A great escape and highly recommend!

The pictures on the VRBO listing are accurate but do not do justice to the view of the Tuckaseegee below and Smoky Mountains horizon. This retreat was exactly what we needed. The 2 bedroom cabin sits right on the edge of the mountain with completely unobscured views from family room, 1 bedroom, and the nice large covered porch. The property was spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen needs. We highly recommend this beautiful vacation rental.

My family of four have been coming to WNC almost yearly for 15 years. We have stayed in a variety of cabin rentals. Some obscenely luxurious and others on a budget.
Eagles Landing is hands down the most majestic stay we have ever had out to this region. I never wanted to leave. We live in a busy suburb. This was the most quiet place we have ever stayed. You will only hear the sounds of nature and the occasional boat down on the lake which will inspire you to rent your own just a short drive up the road (Alarka Marina was fantastic).
This is a rare time where the promo materials 100 percent match with what you are receiving. The home is fresh, new and clean. The kitchen easy to prepare meals in. The beds comfortable. The deck a beautiful way to start and end the day. If you are lucky you will wake up in the clouds. The natural landscaping makes this cabin feel private despite their other large cabin being right next door.
We really cannot wait to plan our next trip to this house. We feel lucky to have been able to stay here.

We are weary grandparents needing a getaway from raising a teenage grandson. This was the perfect place for us! We could relax on the deck and watch the sunrise and/or sunset (usually both) over the Smoky Mountains and still plan day trips to ride the Great Smoky Mountain train out of Bryson City or take a day and drive to Clingman's Dome and Newfound Gap (even on into Gatlinburg ). But our favorite was just sitting on the deck and taking in the scenery of the Smokies and Fontana Lake. The cabin was well supplied with cookware, so we fixed nearly all of our meals there and always ate on the deck. Talk about the perfect setting for a meal...wow! The hosts did a great job providing information prior to our trip and had a booklet of information waiting on the counter upon our arrival. Couldn't have asked for a better getaway! Be prepared for a lot of curvy roads to get to the cabin, though. Coming from a flat cornfield area in Indiana, it took a bit of adjustment to driving the mountainous roads of TN & NC, but by day 2, we had a pretty good grip on how to drive on this terrain.

We just love staying at Shannon and Michelle's cabins. This is our third time staying here. What an amazing, beautiful, peaceful retreat. The time spent here is so relaxing. Oh what an incredible view! Their cabins are always immaculately clean and the beds are comfortable. They are great hosts, attentive to all your needs. We got to see an eagle which was a real treat. We will definitely be returning, Lord's will.

Seriously, turn off your phone and enjoy the view all day and night. This is a magnificent hidden gem with everything needed to be your weekend home away from a busy life. The view is everything and the pictures are just a fraction of the beauty. The stary sky away from civilization is quite beautiful too. There's internet too, but you really won't need it.

Our stay was absolutely perfect, from the directions up to home to the attention to detail once we were inside. We were a group of five and I so appreciate when there are enough seats for everyone to be comfortable. The home felt really spacious and well laid out, and the view from the deck was worth wrapping up with a blanket and a book to enjoy!
There was local coffee stocked in the kitchen as well as menus for local restaurants. The starter supplies were generous, and you can tell the owner wants every guest to feel welcome and relaxed for their stay.
Thank you for a fantastic stay!

This was our second stay at Eagles Landing and will not be the last. Beautiful property and exquisite surroundings. We were fortunate to watch several eagles soar at eye level. Michelle and Shannon, thanks for sharing your slice of Heaven.

This was our second time staying at Eagles Landing. The place for us is perfect for viewing the fall leaves and visiting apple orchards. The surrounding area has a lot to offer. Always a craft festival or market to visit and the Great Smokey Mountains is perfect for never ending activity. Returning to the Cabin before dark to relax on the deck overlooking the lake with the beautiful colors of Fall surrounding us while watching the sun go down keeps us coming back. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

There are numerous Cabins in the Great Smokey Mountains with great views of the Mountains and Water but none of them compare with this property. The view of the Great Smokey Mountains over the beautiful Fontana Lake is breathtaking. Waking in the morning and sitting on the porch overlooking the lake was relaxing. The proximity to Bryson City was just down the street and easy to get to. I will definitely be staying at this property again. Thanks so much for sharing your cabin with us!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Eagle’s Landing. The views from the deck were incredible. During our stay, we watched bears walk along the far side river bank and saw a couple of eagles fly by. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Everything we hoped for. We hope to come back again next year.

Michelle and Shannon are the perfect hosts in every way! The cabin was well appointed and stocked with everything we needed. The views from the deck are stunning, with the interplay of light, shadow sun and cloud. We were lucky enough to spot an eagle perched in the pine to the left of the house. We will return again gladly. Highly recommended! Sara and Peter

Not far from Bryson City (15 min. to downtown) but feels like you’re a million miles from nowhere. The cabin overlooks Fontana Lake and the SMNP. We watched a thunder storm roll in across the mountains and watched eagles fly by. Simply beautiful. The cabin is nicely equipped and clean. We loved our stay (second time for us).

Our hosts were excellent! Any questions, they were quick to respond. The cabin was extremely clean, the walls covered in beautiful artwork, and views from every side. Oh, the view! We couldnt tear our eyes away! The drive up was gradual (a lot of switchbacks) but oh, so nice. Everyone in town was friendly. Took home the memory of whitewater kayaking on the Nantahala. Thank you, Michelle, for the wonderful memories!!!

This cabin was exactly as picturesque as depicted in the description. Short trip to Bryson City which is a cute small town. The host allowed us to walk through her extensive garden where we gathered vegetables for a salad. We enjoyed the changing weather from the large deck. Our only suggestion would be to put the picnic table on the back porch where it would get more use. Would definitely visit again.

My family has stayed here several years in row now, and we absolutely love everything about it. Besides the best views of any place we've ever stayed, the cabin has all the conveniences you'll need with hosts who are super responsive, nice, and helpful. It's a real gem!!

Eagles Landing is the perfect place to unplug for a couple days! The cabin is well appointed and very clean! We spent evenings having dinner by the firepit or on the porch overlooking the lake. The weather kept us from doing planned outdoor activities but we were still able to visit NOC, Bryson City and Gatlinburg. Sans rain, we had planned to rent a boat to tour the lake and do some hiking. Michelle was a super host and we would definitely stay here again!
10.0 / 10.0
You are hard-pressed to find a better view! Cabin is meticulously maintained and well-appointed. Beds are very firm, so if you need a softer sleeping situation, you better pack a mattress topper. There are two adjacent cabins by the same owner and the owner's residence is just the other side of some trees, but this cabin is on the end, deck facing the lake, so you only know you have neighbors if they are outside talking. We hike 15-20 miles in a weekend, so missed having a hot tub or soaking tub to soothe our tired muscles, but chose this cabin for its spectacular view, good location, and EV charger. Easy access and convenient to town and the cleanest we have ever stayed in. Highly recommend.
10.0 / 10.0
We never got tired of enjoying the breathtaking views off the back deck. It's a very comfortable cabin with all the modern conveniences. It's also located very close to the Great Smoky National Park and other outdoor attractions. We would definitely stay here again!
