About this cabin rental
Indulge yourself in this genuine getaway to relax on the deck with drink in hand while enjoying the lake view and fresh pine scented air. Breathtaking views, private beach with a canoe to explore the area and water only a few steps from the log cabin make this place a fun filled family retreat. Campfires at night to make s'mores, or a warm fire in the indoor pellet stove creates a cozy retreat you won't forget.
Don't be fooled by the tranquil setting though as kids and kids at heart will make the place come alive with water play and activities that bring your family together. From your private dock you can do such things as swimming, fishing, boating, skiing, tubing, jet skiing, and all water sports you can imagine.
The dock to sunbath on or tie up your boat for all of your play is located directly below the cabin. The cabin also has a large deck with swing, table and bench seating all around to enjoy the vista's and watch your friends and family below in the water. A barbecue on the deck makes outdoor cooking a breeze and a pebble beach with sloped entry into the water enables easy beach play.
For those last minute needs there is a charming little grocery store at Neachen Bay where you can also gas up your car only 2 miles away from the cabin.
For those that want variety and other options:
Biking or hiking on nearby trails is available on the Centennial Trail, many National Forest Trails and the Hiawatha bike path spanning several miles though tunnels and over bridges. For the thrill seekers the Silverwood Amusement Park is only 60 minutes for a day of fun at the park. A few miles away in downtown Coeur d' Alene or Spokane you will find shopping, restaurants and theaters. A world class golf course, Coeur d' Alene Resort Golf Course is just around the lake and has the worlds only floating green!
This is the perfect setting to create a lifetime of memories and experiences for all ages.
Everyone arriving in cars must be able to navigate a long staircase outside to get to the property. Older people or people with difficulty walking can be boated over to the property from a dock located in nearby Wolf Lodge Bay or from several other public docks in the area.

We had a great time! Very small but great layout for single family, especially with good separation with bunk room upstairs. Online description accurate. Highly recommend!

The view from the cabin was spectacular! The cabin itself was the epitome of rustic charm. A well appointed kitchen made meals a breeze. Coffee on the dock in the morning and a glass of wine around the lakeside firepit made for the perfect day. A hike to Hutton's general store for a sandwich and icecream was a special delight as was discovering the eagle's nest nearby (thanks to a hot tip from a neighbor!) Plenty of things to do and places to eat in town but just relaxing at the cabin was its own treat. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Place was nice and the views fantastic. We had a very nice time.
I would probably replace the sink in the bathroom. There is a sign on the sink that says out-house. Then you look down and see what look like brown stains in the sink. It's kind of gross.

This was our second year at this awesome lake cabin. It’s perfect for our family of two adults and two teenagers. Views from the cabin are outstanding and everything you need is in this place for a great vacation. We happened to boat all of our groceries and luggage in because the only negative is the steep staircase from where you park down to the cabin. Boating everything in solved that problem.
Thank you for sharing your exquisite property with us, we love it there.

My family had a great time at the cabin on the lake. If you plan to bring your boat its well worth it. We launched our boat at Mineral Ridge boat ramp which is just a few minutes from the house via boating. We read about the stairs so we loaded everything on the boat. Went out for a few hours before check in and enjoyed the lake. When it was time to check in we just tied up to the very nice dock and unloaded. ( Make sure to bring plenty of bumpers as the lake is choppy with boat traffic)
Unloading from dock makes it easy and you avoid the stairs. Wife took me back to boat ramp and picked up truck and trailer. Drive to cabin was 10 mins and there is plenty of parking for boat and trailer and room to maneuver. Yes there is about 95 steps to get down to cabin but once your settled in we never had a need to go back up top.
Cabin was great, plenty of room and beds were cozy. Huge deck and you don't get the late day sun so evenings are cool and enjoyable.
There is a small fire pit which we used and enjoyed. Cabin is very private and if you do see the neighbors they are friendly.
We explored the entire lake on the boat and had a great time. Lots of little marinas to stop and explore. I would recommend tying up in the town of Harrison. We would definitely recommend a stay here and plan to come back.

Amazing Cabin!
My family of 5 loved this cabin! It's bright, has tons of character, and is in an ideal setting. Although the kitchen is small, it had everything we needed for cooking and is very well organized. We only stayed for 3 nights but could have easily spent a full week here. There are so many great spaces to enjoy: the cheery living area, the spacious deck, the family media area in the loft, the dock, the water, and even a place to hang hammocks under the deck. One reason we chose this location was because of the available water "toys". We never ended up using the canoe because we had so much fun with the paddleboards and swimming. Our stay was mid-week, but I can imagine the lake gets pretty busy with boats on a summer weekend.
As mentioned in another review, carrying all your food and gear up and down the LONG stairs is tiring and something you want to be aware of. Would be great to bring in by boat if you have one! Fortunately we put our kids to work and didn't suffer too much ;) We still wouldn't change a thing and would happily come again!

Loved this property
Beautiful and tidy property, crystal water surrounding the doc. Lots of stairs to access the cabin, but well lit at night. The big windows provide a stunning morning view, and the tall trees give just enough shade during the day to be comfortable.

Absolutely the Best!
This was our 2nd time staying at the Delyea cabin. We specifically planned our vacation this year to come back to this amazing cabin. The location, right on the water, cannot be beat. Great amenities and great communication with the host. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us! We'll be back again for sure.

Great weekend getaway
After a little research, we found this property available and figured it just have been a cancellation because it was such a great property. No joke about the 98 steps to the cabin, but moving most of our stuff with a boat made it much easier. (It made a for a great workout, though!). The neighbors were very friendly and helpful, and the owners were readily available when we needed to contact them.
Each morning, we got to enjoy coffee and lake views from a sunny deck. Then, we would get ready to hang out on the deck and lake for most of the day, while the deck was shaded for the remainder of the day. Plenty of seating for everyone!
The beds were incredibly soft and comfortable, and the layout was perfect for our two families.
We loved this property and already booked a full week next year!

Just what we needed
We enjoyed our stay very much.
Be aware that it is a steep 96 steps down to the cabin. If you have fear of heights it might freak you out a bit. If I was taking someone very old or has difficulties walking or with their balance I would not stay here.
With the stairs and the fact that it's about 30 minutes to get any supplies it is important to come prepared to stay in the cabin. We took all the food needed for the stay so it was not a problem - in fact, it forced us to stay in the cabin (which is what we came for).
The sounds and beauty of the lake are amazing. Crystal clear water. The cabin was well equipped and we lacked for nothing.
We found ourselves planing our next visit while we we there - which is a testament to how much we enjoyed our stay.

This place has it all!
This cabin was fantastic! It is perfect for any age. This cabin has everything you need to have a great time on the lake- an awesome view, a dock, a fire pit, a grill, a canoe, paddle boards, inflatable water toys, it sleeps eight people comfortably, a tv with a large selection of movies, WiFi, and more. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. You need to make sure that you are ready to walk because there are about 100 stairs that take you down to the cabin and you get pretty winded walking up them. I certainly recommend staying here and we would love to stay there again!

(Almost) Perfect
Just had a 3-night stay here, beautiful location BUT climbing the 98 stairs with everything you thought you needed at the beginning is VERY hard work on departure!!! Two simple solutions, think minimalist, or arrive/depart by boat. Peaceful, with EVERYTHING you might need and lots provided that you might never use, so you're well covered, either way, Most of the water toys you'll need having fun off the dock are provided, and logs for a campfire around the firepit when you're done. A fabulous family vacation spot, and we hope to return again for longer next summer, but will heed our own advice for sure. If you think the 98 stairs aren't a problem you will NOT be disappointed!!!

Wonderful, fun and relaxing cabin. We enjoyed our stay soooo Much!!!
Everything was perfect with the exception of the stairs. All 90 plus was so worth it, even for my father who has a little trouble with walking distances. He was happy to get down all those steps to spend five nights enjoying this wonderful cabin. We did boat him out so that he would not have to go back up them. What a perfectly cozy cabin to spend time as a family. We will come again one day. Had everything we needed. Thank you for sharing your vacation home with us.

Great lake side location and fantastic view
We rented this property to celebrate a milestone birthday in our family. Being local to the area (Post Falls) we often enjoy boating Lake Coeur d'Alene, but have to trailer the craft every time we want to go out. For this weekend we decided to get a cabin. The location looks north almost directly across from Tony's restaurant (which we boated to dinner one night). Given the orientation of the property we enjoyed early morning sun but had great shade in the afternoon to bet the heat. The accommodations were very comfortable and easily handled the 10 of us nicely and it was priced fairly competitively for the size/location.
Overall, I feel the value was good the property in great shape. We had a blast.
Nice things:
Location (not too far from town)
Orientation (shade in the afternoon)
Comfort (plenty of beds, chairs and tables)
Lake access (just a few steps down from the cabin and a small dock)
Parking (plenty of space for 4 + vehicles)
Could be better:
Stairs down to cabin from parking lot (90+ steep steps) could be a problem for elderly but is probably similar to lots of CDA lake places
Kitchen, while it is fully functional, it has very little room for preparing anything substantial
Boat tie up uses older style circular rings, flush/disappearing 'cleat' style ties would be easier to use

We love it here!
Hard to get to with the 98 stairs but worth it. Peaceful. Quiet. Beautiful.

Great getaway
Some friends and I came down for the weekend and stayed at the cabin and had a great time. The place has a very homey feel and is right on the water. The stairs down to the cabin are certainly not for the faint of heart but you’ll certainly get your exercise in going up and down. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful experience
I absolutely loved staying at this property. The views of the lake and Coeur d'Alene are incredible. The cabin is cozy and rustic, yet roomy with a large deck and a nice little boat dock. The furnishing are ample and the pellet stove makes for a relaxing evening. There is plenty to see and do in the area, including amazing hikes and scenic drives. The owners were easily reached and responsive when I called. I've stayed at a number of different cabin rentals and this is my favorite. Can't wait to come back!

Perfection right on the lake
This cabin has everything one needs to have a wonderful stay in the woods right on Lake Coeur d' Alene. We rented Jet Ski's and a boat since we had the dock to launch from and had an amazing 12 days just relaxing and enjoying the view.
It was one of the only areas in Idaho at the time without a ton of smoke and even when it was one of the hottest days, over 100, we stayed cool with water play and naps on the deck.
We also went to the Hiawatha Bike Rail to Trail one day and had an incredible time riding 15 miles through the mountains of Idaho and Montana. This is a great area and it can't be beat for the price.
Beds were super comfortable and I would remind people to bring ice. It doesn't have an ice maker but the fridge is huge and holds a ton of food. We are already booked for next year.

It was everything I had hoped for.
The Delyea cabin was perfect. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed sitting on the dock and playing in the water with all the provided water toys. We also spent a ton of time on the deck playing cards and just enjoying the view. The cabin has very rustic feel and the Delyea's have stocked and decorated it so nicely. The loft was cozy and slept 6 adults very comfortably. I was suprised at how comfy the pull out trundle beds were. We also slept 2 adults in each bedroom. We packed this house with 10 women and a baby. Though a bit crowded inside with this many bodies, the outdoor space accomodated us with this minor issue. I would stay in this house again without a doubt. Thank you so much for opening your cabin to us. Cheers!
