About this house rental

MAJOR REMODEL 2021. New floors, new kitchen, new baths. If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation getaway in a put-your-feet-up-on-the-coffee-table kind of a place, then this is it! Family built and owned for over 45 years, these walls have seen a lot of “happy” over the years. With 4 nicely appointed bedrooms and 3 baths, there is room for your family to spread out. The large eat-in kitchen, with a farmhouse table for eating or playing games, and pots and pans needed to put together those vacation favorites. The dock on the canal behind the house provides yet another spot for hanging out and grabbing a few rays -- in case you don’t feel like walking out to the beautiful, flat Sunset Beach which awaits you and the gang just at the head of the street. A downstairs apartment will please those seeking a little separation from the group (or ones not in favor of stairs!). Enjoy two decks one upstairs and a covered deck downstairs. The same folks who have been coming back year after year will attest: This is one home-away-from-home destination you don’t want to miss.

The rental includes 2 kayaks and 2 bikes.

There is no bathtub. There is also an outside shower.

Sheets and towels are not included.

This was our second visit to Sunset Beach- we unfortunately were here during the tropical storm but still enjoyed our visit. The kitchen is great for cooking and we had lots of space for our family of five. We'd definitely stay again here in the future.

We had a great time in Sunset Beach- a very spacious & comfortable house for our family of five, and great location with an easy walk to beach. We especially enjoyed using the crab-traps in the canal!

After a bit of a bumpy start, we really enjoyed our week here. The house is in a good location, has more than ample space for a family of four and has been recently updated for most of the property. The owner was responsive about sorting out the initial issues, which was helpful. We would stay here again.

We had a lovely, long holiday weekend with friends, and enjoyed this rental so very much. It's a short walk from the beach, and we took many long, long walks on the beach. We'd love to come back to take advantage of the kayaks and dock in warm weather! You can tell this property is well cared-for and the owner communicated all the details we needed to us. Thank you for allowing us to bring in the New Year in Sunset!

What a great property to revisit the beach island I frequented as a young girl. ABC House had everything needed to make us feel ‘at home.’ The kitchen was well equipped, beds comfy, bathrooms updated and the open concept family area were just as described in the listing. The attention given to the extras - kayaks. bikes, crab traps, and games - were a nice touch. The canal facing deck and dock were perfect for a ‘no-sand’ afternoon or a star-gazing night. We only wished our stay could have been longer so we could make more memories.

This was a great place, close walk to beach access, and the owners were exceptionally accommodating. They responded quickly to questions and concerns. The basement apartment was a definite plus as was being on the canal!

Nice location , nice house

The beach is just a short walk from this house. We also enjoyed the canal access with the dock for kyacking and crabbing. The little "apartment" on the first level is good for a young couple to have privacy when they want it. Sunset Beach is great for young childre because the slope is so gentle. When the tide is low, there is a large expanse of beach for playing games and building sand sculptures. We had a great time staying here. It would be nice if there were a bunk room for the kids, though, instead of all double beds.

This house was everything we hoped it would be and more! Very clean. Cute decor. Kitchen was fully stocked. We really enjoyed using the bikes and kayaks. Loved the patio furniture and looking out over the canal at night. Short walk to the beach. Communication with property manager was great. I highly recommend this home.

Great location right on the canal. We dropped a crab trap right off the dock and pulled in several blue crabs. Family loved the location and the beach was a short walk.
