Casa Mario is amazing! The pool, the location, the rooms -- everything is awesome for an authentic Cabo vacation experience. Tim is great at answering any questions we had and very responsive about concerns. The central location to the beach, downtown, and groceries make it ideal for friends and families alike. We will definitely come back - thank you!

Casa Mario
Location is perfect! The place is clean and has just about everything you need from cooler for the beach to a stroller. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us and we will definitely be back to visit Casa Mario again! Only a few minor things that weren’t perfect - the pool wasn’t clean (lots of buds/flowers from the trees maybe), the keys to the outside door weren’t working well but maintenance came out within a couple hours and solved the problem, and the water from the dispenser had some floaters in it. No major disappointments! Overall we loved the place and had a great stay!

Cabo's Jewel
It was our fourth family trip to Casa Mario - what more can I say. Each time the amenities increased, we enjoyed great nearby restaurants (Corazon de Alcachofa, & Roasted were superb) and Tim continues to be an attentive, informative and gracious host.
Be sure to read all the great reviews of Casa Mario. They are full of valuable tips and experiences.

Great place to stay in Cabo!
The house was great. Perfect for families or a group like ours. Great location and stocked with little extras that we appreciated. Thanks Tim!

Location! Location! Location!
This place is what Cabo is all about. Steps to Medano Beach, the harbor and downtown Cabo San Lucas. The house itself is clean, secure and well appointed with everything you might need from cooking utensils to ice chests to games and books. We had eight people in our group and there was more than enough space to spread out and multiple places to come together and hang out. While there was no reason to leave, we did take one day trip and the house had gated parking for our rental which made it easy to park, load up and leave it after our trip. If you are looking for convenience, prefer to walk instead of having to take cabs/shuttles and want to be close to beach activities, the harbor and all the great downtown restaurants I'd highly recommend Casa Mario!

A definite "do-over"
We always prefer staying in homes vs. hotels, and Tim's location did not disappoint. The four of us had plenty of space. We like to cook meals when we travel and Tim's kitchen was well equipped with anything we needed. The beds are very comfortable, the linens clean, and the towels perfect for the beach. The location is also perfectly located - two blocks either way - to the beach or to downtown.
Tim was also easily accessible when we had questions and his dining recommendations were spot on. We did rent a car (very easy). We spent one day at Santa Maria Beach followed by the evening in San Jose del Cabo which is a great experience on Thursday nights during the Art Walk. We also drove over to Pedregal and watched the sun set at both Lovers and Divorce beaches....the Beverly Hills of Cabo.
Thank you Tim for letting us share your home. We had an amazing visit and would definitely do it again. While we didn't dine at The Italian Job, we did enjoy Ediths, Esquina (the bartenders were great), The Office (its an experience!), and a few other local joints. We also found a great churro vendor downtown on the other side of the marina!
We will be back.

Great Location!
This house was amazing! Tim was very responsive before our trip and even set us up with a driver at lower price than those we found online. The house had plenty of room to fit all 6 of us comfortably and could probably fit up to 10 people. The location was great, you can't beat it! It's situated right between Medano Beach and Downtown. We did not need to rent a car or take any taxis, we just walked everywhere. There are good restaurants nearby and an Oxxo (their 7/11) 2 blocks away. The pool was great and refreshing after a long day of walking around town. Only one bad thing was a sewage smell in one of the rooms that came and went. It leaked in from the street every now and then. Other than that the house was amazing and we would definitely stay here again if we're ever back in Cabo!

Location, Location, Location..........Ideal! The close proximity to the beach, downtown and the marina make this compound the bullseye in Cabo. Its great to have a house within walking distance from all areas of interest to conveniently retreat to for some peace and quiet while on vacation. We truly enjoyed our stay and all Tim's recommendations were spot on.

Perfect Vacation House
This house was absolutely perfect. We had 9 people stay over 4 days and had a great time here. The house is extremely close to downtown and the beach, is nice and spacious and extremely well-stocked. Tim, the owner, is extremely fast in responding and great to work with. The maid is very professional and it's great to have her come by to tidy up. On Tim's suggestion, we asked his contact Jorge to pick us up from the airport and he was extremely helpful in essentially helping us coordinate our entire vacation. He helped us book boat rides, snorkeling trips, jet-ski rentals, a trip to La Paz and Todos Santos and even told us about amazing hole-in-the-wall places for food. Jorge and his colleague, Rael really helped make our vacation absolutely amazing.

Great Place
Had six family members stay for a week at the Casa de Mario. It can be a struggle when looking for places to stay at a destination that one has never been. After looking at probably a hundred listings on Homeaway, I emailed Tim (the owner). He was very fast in his response and very informative. I wanted a house that was CLOSE to the beach, the marina, restaurants and shopping. I did not want to call a cab every time I wanted to venture out. Now, you can stay at the ME or one of the other hotels or timeshares and be close to the action, but you WILL NOT find another house like Casa de Mario. It will sleep a large group, it is extremely safe and private, and it has an awesome pool. Its a five minute walk to Medano Beach, 185 feet from Roasted and about 200 feet to Peacocks. Bar Esquina is about a 2-3 minute walk. Its an 11 minute walk to the Marina, the Mall and lots of bars and restaurants in that area. We actually arrived just a couple of days after Hurricane Newton. I was impressed that the neighborhood and Cabo in general looked great. The house had some minor issues like gas hot water heater had blown out, the satellite dish had got moved some and reception was spotty. Nothing big. The only reason I even mention it is because if you have a problem, Tim will take care of it....fast. Also wanted to mention that in September, the fishing is muy caliente, and so is the weather. But Casa de Mario has A/C units in all of the bedrooms and large A/C units in the living areas downstairs. The kitchen is also very nice. Fully equipped and modern. The water is filtered and there is a separate water cooler. Tim recommended the Mucho Loco boats for fishing and they did not disappoint. We fished twice with them and brought back some nice tuna, wahoo and dorado to prepare in our kitchen. There are hundreds of placed to eat and drink, but my crowd really enjoyed Bar Esquina and La Dolce. The Italian Job was closed but the food at La Dolce was fantastic. Monkey Business bar had the best margaritas. Also the Cabo Bakery had a really good breakfast. Not just baked goods, they had a full breakfast menu. Food was fast and fresh and steps from the house. There is also a warehouse club (think of costco) about a 5 min walk from the house, for about $1.50 you can get a day pass. They have loads of stuff. Hope to stay at the Casa de Mario again soon, just a fabulous location.

Perfect Vacation Home in Cabo!
Unbelievably spacious home with numerous beds and living space and a fully equipped kitchen. We had 10 sleeping and living comfortably for 1 week. Only 4 blocks from the beach and downtown Cabo. Also walking distance from the marina and other notable restaurants and bars/clubs. This house includes very professional and sweet locals to help with your stay. A maid comes frequently and the owner offers many activities and suggestions for sightseeing, restaurants, and more. I had been to Cabo before but this was my favorite trip due to this house. The pool is a perfect relaxation place. The house is safe and very central. I recommend this house to everyone! Thank you for a great vacation.

Didn't Want to Leave!!
The accommodations at Casa Mario were fantastic. Our party consisted of two couples down from Canada for a week of fishing and relaxation. The house was a perfect size for the four of us and surrounding swimming pool and patio added all sorts of additional relaxation areas. There are plenty of beds to accommodate a large group if needed.
The house was spotless when we arrived. The bathrooms are roomy with large showers and super comfortable beds!
We were very happy to find some of the best dining in Cabo right on the same avenue within shouting distance of the house. Prepare yourself for some fine dining, every meal was great!
Just as short walk to Medano Beach, the Marina and downtown. We found staying at this house was far more superior than the all inclusives up the beach. We had a blast!
Thanks Tim for accommodating us when our flight home was canceled, it was greatly appreciated!

Great Christmas!
This was a great house for three generations of family (8 yrs to 71). Close to the beach and the Marina, so everybody could do what they wanted, and return to gather in the great room of the house without having to make special arrangements to meet at a certain time in the public space of a hotel. We've already signed up for next year!

Great time at Mario
We returned to Casa Mario again this year for our family holiday with 5 children. We stayed here last year for the first time with the kids and it was only better in every aspect this year. The casa had all we needed to enjoy a self managed holiday with our own facilities and timetable to suit. The location worked for all and the new kitchen and fridge was a bonus. Thanks Tim for a great stay.

Awesome house, great location and great price!
I stayed in Casa Mario a month ago with 8 of my girlfriends. We were considering staying in a hotel, but I'm glad we didn't!
The house is big enough for a family of a big group of friends. We enjoyed having the pool for ourselves and we were able to walk to the Marina and some other places where restaurants and bars are. The house is right next to Nikki Beach and just a few blocks from other beach clubs and beach restaurants like Mango Deck and The Office. Close enough to walk, yet far enough that is nice and quiet.
Tim, the owner, was great! He gave us a lot of recommendations on restaurants and things to do and he really keeps the house in great shape, with all the necessary amenities (including Wi-Fi and AC). A really nice cleaning lady came to clean the house everyday too.
In general, Casa Mario was much better than staying in a hotel! Great for young people looking to have fun, but also great for families that are looking for convenience and easy access to the beach.

Great Location & Neighborhood!
Beaches, restaurants, marina, and downtown are all within walking distance. Perfect location! The house is spacious and very clean, the pool is a nice addition to have in early morning or early evening before or after the beach. It is on a busy street so if you're not used to "city sleeping" it might be loud for you. If you are looking for a reliable renter (Tim), friendly house staff, and a location that is central and no need for a car, this is the place!

Great Location! Nice, Large and Well Maintained
I stayed here with 5 friends, on a Guy's Trip. The location was great, being a few blocks to the beach, and a 5 minute walk to downtown Cabo. We carried a cooler full of beer, limes and guacamole to the beach everyday with no problem. Also, lot's of great restaurants close by for breakfast and lunch. The house itself is spacious and in good condition. There is a large wall surrounding the property, so it is private and secure. Also has a place to park a car inside the property. We rented a car, but only drove it once to the supermarket to load up on beer. Otherwise there would be no need for a car, given the great location. Not necessarily a place for families with young children, given that the stairs are a bit steep and the pool does not have any kind of gate around it. Otherwise, I would highly recommend it.

This place was truly amazing. As soon as we got there we were met with the property manager to show us around and answer any of the questions we had. The place was just as we pictured, but open space downstairs, and 3 great bedrooms upstairs all with their separate bathrooms. The outside was phenomenal. The grill is perfect and we used it every day. Around the corner to the pool was amazing. Margaritas and lounging by the pool was an every day ritual. With just a 5 minute walk to Madeno Beach you could not make it any easier. Breakfast at The Office, and day parties at the Mango Deck really made the trip. The maid was great and she cleaned everyday for us, even when she did not have to. If you are looking for a great trip to stay with a good number of people this is the perfect spot. Tim made booking this trip very easy for me and he was very helpful with all the little details.

Great time had by all. Tim's advice was spot on for negotiating our way around Cabo. Acess to everything was easy and you really don't need a car. If you do, just go next door to Melia resort and rent one for $50/day, simple. Medano beach is awesome, and breakfast @ the Office was a daily ritual (french toast is to die for).
Please consider upgrading the beds or maybe adding gel foam mattress covers for a more comfortable sleep. The springs are coming thru on a couple beds. Other than that, we'll see ya next year!

What a great place to stay! As soon as we booked it, we receive an info packet from Tim with ideas of things to do. That was so helpful. If you are looking for a great place for 3 couples to stay...look no further. We stayed for one week with 3 couples at this house, and it was awesome. The house was fully stocked with everything that we needed in the kitchen to make breakfast, lunch and dinner. The beds were very comfortable(and I am really picky!), there's plenty of living space for everyone to spread out, the dinning room table was large enough for 8 people, and the washer and dryer are a great plus.
The location is great. Really close to everything, but not too close. If you are looking for the best margarita in town go to the Monkey Business Bar. It is the best margarita we have ever had. Made completely from scratch with real fruit. WOW!! We also found an awesome place for $20 per hour massages. What a treat having a massage every afternoon followed by an awesome margarita.
We rented a van at the airport for the week and felt very comfortable with having a parking place that was behind a gate and never had to look for parking. We always felt very safe. The house is so close to everything that we only used the van to go grocery shopping, to get back and forth to the airport and for day excursions.
The cleaning lady was great. She would come whatever days we wanted her. She did a great job. She even did our laundry. We really wanted to bring her home us us.
The property management people met us at the property when we arrived on the first day and showed us around and were very helpful. They showed us how everything worked and where everything was. They even had the cable music channel on with Christmas music....that was odd as it was 80 degrees outside.
We will definitely rent this house again, hopefully for longer than one week next time. Thanks for sharing this great house, with a great location with us.....it was a very memorable vacation!

i am not the kind of guy who writes reviews, but tim (the owner) is such a great guy, and the casa de mario is such a perfect vacation option, that i want to make sure it continues to be available for rental. The location is ideal for going to the beach, shopping, and dining,( and drinking) downtown. the house has all you need for a relaxing stay. i have rented it on numerous occasions and tim keeps adding new touches. on my recent visit there were new couches in the greatroom, a new gas grill, and a safe in the bedroom. all were very much appreciated. the pool is great for a refreshing dip on a hot day. most importantly. tim, the management team, and lenore (the housekeeper) can always be relied on to handle any problem that may arise. peace of mind on vacation in mexico is a real plus in my book! tim, thanks again and keep up the good work!

We recently stayed at the Casa de Mario to celebrate a 30th birthday and bachelor party. All of us had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the condo. Pictures, descriptions and conversations with the owner were all very accurate. In fact, the accomodations were actually better than expected.
Location and amenities were great. Safety never felt like a concern as the house is very secure. The owner of the property had great recommendations for all kinds of great activities and food. Promiximity to the nightlife simply can't be beat...close enough to easily walk to and from the bars but still out of the way enough to be peaceful and quiet if need be.
I would highly recommend any group of 6 or more people to stay at this house. You will not be disappointed.

Just got back yesterday from my bachelor party weekend with 10 guys. Tim's house had plenty of space to sleep us all very comfortably. The swimming pool, brand new grill and all amenities were just perfect. The kitchen had all the things we needed to cook up huge meals. The house is also super secure & well protected. We all felt very safe. The location is also perfect. Literally just steps away from the beach bars, great off-the-beaten path restaurants and the swanky Nikki Beach Pool Club right next door. Couldn't have asked for a better location and all of Tim's personal recommendations were right on target

We brought our kids and their friends (aged 17 - 22) to Cabo for Spring Break and stayed at Casa de Mario. Seven people total. Everything Tim said about the house was absolutely right: great location, great price, great weather. The casa had everything we needed: beach bags and towels for day trips, the City Club two blocks away for stocking the fridge, a home-made travel guide for where to go and what to do, games and movies for early nights in, and much more. Of course, the kids enjoyed the mall - while Mom and Dad enjoyed the casino! We made a big breakfast every morning and went out for fabulous meals at night. We would have paid much more for two or three resort hotel rooms; it was so nice to all be together. I highly recommend Casa de Mario.

I took an extended weekend trip with four friends of mine to Cabo and we stayed at the Casa de Mario. The house was perfect. There was plenty of space and each bedroom had at least two beds. The housekeeper was nice and even washed our clothes. The location is perfect because you are about halfway between Medano Beach (the main beach in town) and the city center where all the nightlife is. This way you end up saving money on cabs because everything is a block or two away. I would recommend this to anyone looking to book a group trip.

I've stayed twice at this property. The photographs show exactly how comfortable and well-maintained it is. If you want any of the action in Cabo, you'll find the main part of the town is just a few minutes's walk away as are the beach and the port. If you want to be away from the action, the house is private and completly secluded behind high walls and an easy to open gate to allow you to protect a car should you have one, although a car is hardly necessary. I've recommended this house to everyone I can imagine who would enjoy a week or two in Cabo.
