About this house rental
So close but yet soooo far!!!!
When you stay with us you will feel like you are far away from everything. But in reality everything you could possibly want to do is just around the corner.
We are close to everything Asheville has to offer—Biltmore House, hiking, biking, shopping, tubing, running, the arts....the list is endless. Eclectic and funky West Asheville is minutes away offering a great collection of eateries, galleries and shops. Downtown Asheville is just minutes beyond that with a dazzling array of shops, restaurants, galleries and arts events, all infused with that unique Asheville laid back vibe. Just around the corner is the River Arts District where you can spend a day exploring one of the most active and accessible communities of working artists in North Carolina. If you get tired gallery hopping, you will find many great options for food and drink to rest a spell and rub shoulders with friendly locals who will be happy to tell you about the best local breweries.
Once you have worn yourself out with all there is to do in and around Asheville, you come back to a comfortable cozy cottage that is designed with relaxation in mind. Just renovated from top to bottom, our cottage includes a huge kitchen with new appliances, granite countertops, a washer/dryer nook and plenty of room for group dining. The very large living room is fronted by a spacious sunroom that is perfect for your morning coffee or curling up with a good book. The back deck is private with a grill and beautiful view of the woods. If you are lucky you will see some of the wildlife we have on the property including deer, turkey and the occasional fox.
The Master suite comes with a queen size bed and a glorious, dual shower bathroom for a spa-like experience. Bedrooms two and three share a large, fully refurbished bathroom with tile floors and granite vanity. Bedroom two has a double bed and bedroom three has two twin beds providing a great variety of sleeping arrangements. Other features include a 50' High Definition TV in the living room, TV's in each bedroom and a fire pit out from for late night s'mores or sipping wine under the stars.

Secluded AND close to everything in Asheville.
If you like food and trees and quiet and Asheville and food, oh, right, mentioned that already, this is the house to stay. So many places to sit, eat, talk, listen—the back deck, the dining table, the living room, the front dining room/porch, and the chairs around the huge marshmallow-roasting firepit out front—and then when you want to sit anywhere in West Asheville, downtown Asheville, at the Arboretum, for coffee, for food, for leaf-watching, so many choices. (And everything in the house works, everything you need is supplied—ok, maybe could use a better potato peeler and/or a scrubber-sponge that will work for veg. and dishes) Definitely a house (and secluded location, yet so close to everything) to stay again!

Clean and cozy
Good little place in west Asheville. Well stocked kitchen and very welcoming back porch overlooking the forest. Wild turkeys and deer welcomed us. The master bed was not comfortable, but the baths were updated and very relaxing. Recommend for a short stay in fabulous Asheville.

Lovely setting
We enjoyed the lovely setting. We were unable to connect to Netflicks because too many people were using the account. TV needs an upgrade for interfacing. The hot tub bleached the bathing suits with just a couple uses. Black mold in master bath needs to be addressed. Drain in bath tub was very difficult to operate. Would rent again but would like the above issues addressed first.

Great Place!
This house was perfect!!! No detail was forgotten. The beds were super comfortable and there were black out curtains in all the rooms. It is in a great location and Michael was VERY accommodating. My husband accidentally left his wedding band in the bedroom and Michael contacted me and mailed it to us. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

2nd Stay As Good As The First
It’s rare something is as good as the second time around, but fortunately I can say this is 100% the case for this rental! This was our 2nd New Years in Asheville at this rental, and it was great. It was just as clean, comfortable and inviting (maybe even more so with some new outdoor chairs!) as our stay last year. I would HIGHLY recommend this for your next trip to Asheville - except New Years 2019 though if we want it again!

A magical place to celebrate Christmas with family
The rain finally stopped the day before Christmas Eve and we were able to gather by the fire, sing carols and share memories of Christmas past and goals for 2019. The stars were amazingly bright and the sky was clear. We had everything in the kitchen we needed to enjoy the family’s talented chefs and room to spread out for our poetry slam! Our time was too short but incredibly sweet! Mike was super helpful providing us with suggestions on local restaurants and a butcher for our traditional Christmas Dinner to a yoga studio - he’s actually from Asheville! (The turkey and deer sightings were a unexpected surprise).

A great hideaway in W Asheville
We had a wonderful experience staying here. The house was perfect and the hot tub was a fantastic way to wind down each evening. We had the privilege of meeting Michael when we departed and are excited to return to one of his Asheville properties in the near future.

Great Location
House was perfect for (3) couples, nicely updated, great outdoor space and felt secluded yet close to everything Asheville has to offer. House was tastefully furnished, well equipped kitchen, linens provided and enjoyed the hot tub while it snowed! Owner was a great host and we look forward to staying again in the near future.

Great Place, Great Location
Five of us stayed for four nights and couldn't be happier, it will be our go to place whenever we visit Asheville. It's perfectly located, the Hot Tub is a great bonus and we took full advantage of the Fire Pit out front. No negatives whatsoever, highly recommend

Great! Very homey!
We loved our stay here. It was clean and comfortable and the hot tub was very very nice! We had some trouble getting the dishwasher to run, as well as locating the trash and recycling bins but once those were figured out, everything else went perfectly. We would definitely stay here again! The driveway is very steep so leaving, we all scraped the bottom of the front bumpers on our car so if you care a lot about that, this wouldn't be the best fit for you!
