Loved the secluded and quiet nature of this property in the woods so close to SW Harbor.

We loved this place, both Acadia and this house. As turn key as you get- linens, kitchen-ready for dining in and beautifully secluded. Would love to see the island in the Fall.

The trip to ME from NY was to see Acadia National Park. This property in Southwest Harbor was was a short ride to the park. The location made it convenient to have dinner in Bar Harbour or Southwest Harbour. The property was clean, comfortable, and spacious. We enjoyed our visit to the park and the house we stayed in.

The pictures don't really do this property justice. Very spacious with lots of beautiful outside spaces. Tucked away in a quiet area but close to the park. The nearby hike at Flying Mountain was spectacular. Lots to see and do a short drive away. The house is clean and well equipped. We didn't spend much time there, but it had everything we needed. The owners are accessible and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Every aspect of this rental experience was great for us. It began as a challenge because tropical storm Lee was arriving with us,but Jennifer could not have been more helpful and we arrived safely and in time to nestle into this beautiful property. Spotlessly clean and nicely appointed with comfortable beds and a warm, inviting livingroom. The fireplace was a treat and we used the jacuzzi every night after each busy day. We cook alot and there was nothing lacking in the kitchen, lots of dishware, glassware, pots and pans. I especially loved the varied artwork in each room and the selection of books and reading material. There is a welcome binder with all you need to know about the house, but rest assured if you have a question or issue, Jennifer will answer immediately. She was so quick to offer answers or guidance and I was very impressed and grateful. The deck is lovely and there are lots of comfortable seats to relax and enjoy the bucolic surroundings. We had deer visit everyday and stargazing from the jacuzzi was sweet! Acadia is pure magic to us, this being our 4 vacation there. The Green House was everything and more and I sure hope to return here for my 5th visit!

Enjoyed three nights stay in early September. Although very hot outside, the A/C worked well inside, making it cool and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable, and the house was clean and organized. My husband enjoyed the hot tub, and I appreciated the washer/dryer! Jennifer was very responsive and clear with directions.
Thank you for sharing your home with us!

My family (3 adults, 2 kids + dog) enjoyed the stay at this property, a lot! House was big, very clean, well maintained and well equipped. Internet and phone (verizon) services worked well. There were plenty of cafes and restaurants a short drive away. Everything Acadia's nature has to offer but without crowds is right outside, or within 15 minutes drive. We had a lot of fun in this home away from home!

Pretty much as advertised- a nice, clean place in a great location in SW Harbor- I would recommend.

Acadia is a favorite destination of ours. House clean, comfortable and in great location. Has well stocked kitchen and enough space for all. Bigger than looks in listing. Nice big dining table for family meals and games. Hot tub enjoyed after long hikes. Host checked in to be sure all in order and to answer questions but not needed as notes about home explain all features.

Great vacation home. Immaculately clean and very comfortable, secluded home, close to town. Air conditioning came in handy as we were there during a warm spell. Jennifer, the owner, is very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended! Will definitely return.

My family enjoyed our stay at the Green house. The hosts made every effort to ensure the house was comfortable for us. We really enjoyed the hot tub after a day of hiking. The only con is that the house is at the top of a very steep hill, making the walk/bike to downtown Southwest Harbor challenging.

The house was lovely and we really had no serious complaints. I do like to always find something that can be improved. Soap/shampoo/conditioner in the showers would be a nice addition. We cooked lobsters one evening, and we found the appropriate pot, but not claw crackers. Pretty minimal. We enjoyed our stay.

A home away from home; surrounded by pine trees, falcons, and close to Acadia trail heads. We enjoyed the proximity to all Acadia and Bar Harbor has to offer with the privacy of the property and comfort of the hot tub each evening. My kids (9 and 7) were in tears when it was time to leave!

Lovely house close to amenities, Bar Harbor and Acadia. Plenty of sleeping spaces if you have a larger group. Great outdoor spaces if you visit in the warmer months. We were able to bring our dogs with us which was awesome! Would love to visit again!

We stayed at the Green House for the last week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well-stocked and in a sweet, quiet part of the island. Bar harbor was close enough to go daily, but far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle. The hot tub was a perfect way to spend each night and the stars were beautiful.

This beautiful and secluded home was a perfect retreat for our family. Centrally located between the quiet side (Bass Harbor) and the busier side (Bar Harbor), it offered the peacefulness of the mountains, but a short drive to restaurants & artist shops. There are so many hiking options, both uphill and along the water’s edge. The hot tub was a comforting gift after hiking. Best surprise, especially for my tween, was the ping pong table and pool table in the basement on the rainy days we had. Owners were easy to reach and the property was well maintained. Definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our time at this home. The location is just down the road from the center of Southwest Harbor but feels super secluded up on the mountain road and in the woods. We were about to enjoy fireworks over the harbor downtown as well. Really close access to great hiking trails too!
The hot tub was a nice bit of relaxation after the kids were in bed and the area is super quiet and peaceful. Kids enjoyed the books, games and bunk beds.
Would stay again for sure. Thanks!

Hidden away on the outskirts of Southwest Harbor, this property provides solitude and respite after the hectic tourist activities in Bar Harbor. Located on the “quiet side” of Mount Desert Island it provides an excellent start to hiking, boating and biking opportunities afforded by Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Everything was available to provide the comforts of home, relax in a hot tub after a day of hiking the park or eat out should you choose. Separate pool and ping pong tables in the basement kept kids busy while adults read, watched television or napped. Plenty of jigsaw puzzles, games and books were available as were numerous TVs. Easy access to everything offered by MDI.
This self described cottage has some years behind it but is in good overall condition. The owner was very responsive to the few questions that arose and provided several suggestions on activities. Driveway accommodated parking for several cars.

We really enjoyed this house in SW Harbor, ME. It was a perfect home for a family of four. We enjoyed the use of the hot tub after long hikes through Acadia. Home is located close to a grocery store, gas station, Acadia National Park and the cute town of Bar Harbor. Home was very clean and contact with owner was easy. We will definitely be back!!!

Jen’s place worked out perfectly for our family wedding. We were able to have a small gathering at the house the evening before when everyone arrived in town. Easy to accommodate for the baby. Loved have a hot tub to enjoy. And had a number of deer visit us everyday.

The house was wonderful. Everything was there that you could have needed. It was close to bar harbor and acadia.

You cannot get a more beautiful, peaceful, private location than the Pine Knoll house. The location, hot tub, and fireplace were our favorite aspects. Jennifer is always quick and friendly with her communication, so if you have any questions at all do not hesitate to contact her!
The house is a quick and easy drive to anywhere on Mount Desert Island, including Acadia. Our favorite local restaurant ended up being the Next Level Sports Lounge, which is open all year! And be sure to check out Suminsby Park off of Sergeant Drive in Northwest Harbor for a beautiful sunset spot away from the crowds. :)
The house is beautiful and quite spacious, which I would imagine makes it difficult for one busy person to keep up with between guests. Therefore, it does seem to be due for a good deep-cleaning. But overall, we had a really great stay at Pine Knoll. Quiet, starry nights in the hot tub at this location simply cannot be beat!

Staying in Southwest Harbor meant a little commute to the main attractions in Bar Harbor and Acadia, but quite easy, and you didn't have to deal with all the people and traffic when you wanted to get away. The host was accommodating and had good suggestions for us. Southwest Harbor offers good places to eat and drink as well.
The property had some issues, though. Generally cleanliness was definitely not up to snuff, there were multiple lights burned out, instructions were hand written on multiple pieces of paper, some illegible, some conflicting, and in general not what I would expect for a well rated VRBO. They do have a hot tub, but 3 people max, and figuring out how to do the chemicals daily was a bit more than expected.
Our host was very responsive, but these issues did not leave me wanting to come back again.

We could not have wished for more during our stay in this lovely home. Everything we needed was here, from a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable lounging and sleeping areas, tasteful decorations, warm fireplace, immaculate housekeeping, plenty to entertain should the weather gods frown. Outside Maine woodland landscaping is spectacular. Owner is very responsive to questions and concerns. Highly recommend staying here. We hope to do so again soon!

I stayed at Jennifer's for a week with friends and the property was fantastic. You are away from it all yet in a great, convenient location! I love this side of the island, a little quieter yet only 20 minutes to Bar Harbor (I was there in May with little traffic). Thank you, Jennifer!!

Perfect trip, perfect house. The house is surrounded by trees, turn off all the lights at night, you can see the starry sky.
The location is also very convenient, there is a supermarket in 3 minutes, and the park can be reached in about 20 minutes.
I can feel the homeowner’s heartfelt decoration of the house, it’s very warm, and I will definitely come back again

This home is beautiful and comfortable. We loved being able to go for runs and get to hikes from the house. Convenient location to town, Echo Lake, and Acadia hikes on the quiet side. Enjoyed the hot tub, relaxing on the deck, playing pool, ping pong, and games - Plenty of room for 3 couples to spread out. Appliances all worked and kitchen was well equipped. We would definitely stay agin! This place is lovely!

Had a great experience here -- clean, cozy home in an ideal location (where *fun hikes* are walkable from the home & *iconic acadia hike -- trailheads* are 15-30 min away by car. Loved every moment in a summertime Maine -- dreamy!

We preferred this quiet northern ‘Southwest Harbor’ neighborhood for its short drives to many MDI spots. This spacious home worked well for our adult family of 6 and provided great common areas and private space. Everything met or exceeded our expectations. the hot tub was popular w the cooler temps during our stay. Would stay here again.

Great host. Good communication. We had an issue with the hot tub that she fixed immediately. Has all the amenities and only about 20 minutes away to the main sites of avadia

The house was beautiful and a perfect setup for our group, with rooms at opposite ends of the home, offering space and privacy; and one bedroom upstairs with a full toy box and bunk beds, perfect for younger children! Ping-pong and pool tables in the basement, perfect for older children or adults! The area is woodsy and very private but a short distance from Acadia, Bar Harbor, and all else MDI has to offer. Would definitely stay here again!
