Casa Sandra was great. The house is in a good location near parks, beaches and restaurants. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. We loved the wildlife near the home as well. We saw monkeys every day from the upstairs patio. The host was easy to reach and very helpful. We would stay here again.

Extra large “art deco” home, beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable. Nice outdoor spaces to enjoy the cheeky monkeys and other smaller wildlife including toucans passing overhead. We cooked almost all our meals and the kitchen was more than adequate. Parking entry is angled, narrow and steep, but can get the hang of it. We fell in love with Manuel Antonio’s Nat Park (paid entry online) and opted to leave the car behind and catch Ubers to avoid parking hassles, and spent everyday there. Home is on 3 levels and internal stairs are concrete and winding, something to be aware of for young children with shorter legs or those with mobility challenges. Concierge María was great, she was also quick to respond including to a minor issue that cropped up and helped us book two tours. We had no neighborhood noises, it was quiet, peaceful and private.

I recognize that I am writing this from an extremely Americanized viewpoint and considering the local's homes around Casa Sandra - Casa Sandra is a mansion. However, from my American perspective - the house is ok, not great. I understand we are close to the forest, so there will be bugs and spiders, etc - but I was not expecting so many, nor so many roaches. The showers were moldy with clogs of hair over the drains. The beds are not comfortable at all and my family got very tired, very quick. The pool is on the 3rd floor and leaks down onto the couches & floor of the 2nd. And - the monkeys poop in it. Watch the steps - they are concrete and twisting; anyone with mobility issues should be cautious.
The concierge is nice with a edge. Watch the pricing of the excursions. We had everything arranged at 1 set of prices then at the LAST minute, all the prices went up. I was told concierge does not set the prices, but for ALL the excursions, the guides had to check their emails for the prices - what? And, the excursion book at the house had a 3rd set of pricing. All this really bothered me as I felt taken advantage of. If you book here, the owner of Vista Verde (restaurant down the street from the house), can hook you up with excursions that are cheaper and better.
The house is fine, don't get me wrong and we had a great vacation. Just be mindful and flexible :)

Loved it here. Absolutely gorgeous, comfortable and so peaceful. The hammocks and swings were an added bonus. The jungle was beautiful and the house is so close to the NP and lots of dining options, making logistics so easy.

The home is cozy with a beautiful view and centrally located. Maria the house manager is excellent and there to help with anything you need. Our second stay at the property and plan on returning again.

Gorgeous property, stunning sunsets and very helpful concierge (Maria). All recommended activities were fabulous.

Great spot. Close enough to walk to shops, restaurants, and store yet the feel jungle. I would caution families of young children or older adults with mobility issues as the stairs for the bedrooms are steep and not ideal without full mobility. Nice and communicative staff. We were referred to Josue for a tour in Manuel Antonio and he was fantastic. Overall a great getaway! Thanks!

The house, the host and Maria were exceptional! From any of the 3 balconies, it truly feels like you are in the rainforest. We didn't get any visits from monkeys, but we did see a sloth in the tree by the balcony and many different types of birds. It is in a great location: delicious restaurants (with stunning sunset views) are within walking distance and there is a small store at the bottom of the hill/road, which was very convenient. The location feels very safe and even has a garage if you are renting a car. The only negative was the mattresses are not very comfortable...especially the two on the bottom floor.

The home and location are perfect...the house manager "Maria" is the absolute best at what she does. I cannot say enough about her and her flawless service. She is truly amazing & we cannot thank her enough for all of her time and assistance during our stay. The home is in a great location and very close to all of the excursions. Our guide for the park "Joseph" was also the best and I highly recommend him for the private tours to Manuel Antonio Park. The home is lovely and I cannot recommend it highly enough...you will love it! Thank you Miss Maria-you are amazing!! Can't wait to visit again in the near future.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Sandra! Even the monkeys on our bedroom patio waking us up early in the morning!! Great location and easy to hop on a bus or get a taxi. We will definitely recommend this to friends and family. Maria was excellent and answered all our questions quickly and professionally.

This property is located in a sweet spot. You’re able to drive to the beach very easily. You can also go into town Quepos without difficulty. If you choose to take the bus, the bus stop is also there. There’s plenty of food in the nearby areas. Lots of sodas and great restaurants surrounding you and walking distance. The home is very large with plenty of room. There is a garage as well as beautiful views of the ocean. Maria was great and helping with any of your needs and always prompt. The home is definitely worth staying in with the family. We had our two teenage kids. you do sea monkeys outside. We unfortunately did not see any Toucans. However, we did see sloths down at the beach. With regards to the house I would recommend it to anybody who wants a nice place to stay with beautiful views and great location. Small items are sliding doors need some servicing and garage entry is steep but this should not stop you from staying in any way. Wonderful place to visit MA

Casa Sandra was our favorite Costa Rican experience. The house itself is better than any excursion tour in the area. The gourmet chef experience was phenomenal.

Loved the place, the town, the food and the tours. Maria was awesome. She took care of all of our needs including setting up two tours with a fantastic guide and making great restaurant recommendations. The place is fantastic including visits from monkeys and toucans. Sliding doors are hard to operate and should be serviced. Otherwise, five stars.

Casa Sandra is a fully equipped home in a very convenient location. It has 3 lovely balconies and each allows a unique perspective of the jungle, plus the top level has a great ocean view. The wildlife completely surrounds you. It is tucked away, and yet you are totally central to the all the good restaurants, the excursions, and have easy access to the park and the beach. Maria the house manager was also super helpful. We will be back.

Everything went smoothly. The property manager was awesome. She helped sched all of our activities for the week. The home is well known in town so Taxi drivers knew where to take you. Safe area w house alarm.
Main advice for Costa Rica is you get better deals if you use cash. Beautiful country!

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at Casa Sandra with our family of 6. The house was amazing - clean, roomy and amazing views of the water. We enjoyed the visits from the monkeys on the balcony. The concierge Maria was amazing - without our asking she even helped us identify that a tour we had separately booked on our own had inadvertently cancelled our reservation...and she corrected the situation. The guide she recommended for Manual Antonio park was fantastic as well. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic week at Casa Sandra!!! Highly recommend.
Our property concierge, Maria, was amazing. From the moment that we booked the property to the moment we left the property, she was always available. She greeted us when we arrived to the VRBO. She booked all of our excursions to the National Park, ATV tour, ziplining and a sunset cruise. She booked our van transportation to and from the airport. There is a folder with restaurant recommendations. The property was great. It had such a Costa Rican vibe. We saw more wildlife outside this VRBO then we saw are the National Park. We were visited by the monkeys several days, we saw Tucans several times and the macaws a few times. When the sun was rising about 5 am, the noises in the jungle were loud....but awesome at the same time.
They had air-conditioning units in the upstairs bedroom, main living area and downstairs bedroom. Of note, when you leave the house, attached to the house keys is a fob that turns off the electricity. So when you get home, the upstairs bedroom might be hot. The upstairs is a suite, bathroom with toilet and sink seperate with a door. But the shower and tub room does not have a door. The main living area was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed to make simple meals. Downstairs bedroom was large and bathroom spacious. The shower was open, very cool and unique.
The driveway to Casa Sandra is extremely steep, so caution to those that have difficulty in walking.

My husband and I spent a blissful week at Casa Sandra. The house is beautiful, comfortable and well appointed. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the balconies, enjoying the view of the Pacific and birds. The concierge, Maria, was absolutely wonderful. A perfect vacation!

Great home base for a trip to Manuel Antonio
A great house with comfortable accommodation, excellent kitchen and plenty of living space. Its also conveniently located for three grocery stores so was easy to pop out for supplies, and also hit up local restaurants. Maria was great as the property manager helping us set up various tours and excursions with pickup from the property.

Incredible Honeymoon!
Stayed here a week for our honeymoon, and got to compare at a resort (similar price) for our last night. We enjoyed our time at Casa Sandra so much more! Incredible views of the ocean ajd jungle, beautiful spacious rooms, well-equipped kitchen, quiet and off the road yet close enough to the bus stop to get everywhere quickly! Cannot recommend enough.

World Class
I can't say enough about my stay. The house was immaculate and very high end for the area it had amazing ocean and jungle views from all bedrooms and living room as well as morning visits by the monkey mafia afternoon beautiful birds from macaws to tucans and the best was the surprise visit by sid the sloth. The service Maria provided was simply amazing. She seemed to only care about our happiness and comfort she offered numerous services for free like a concierge at a 5 star hotel only better. She wasn't a bother at all but was always there if we called and needed anything, which we didn't do often. If you're thinking about a trip to Costa Rica this is definitely the place to be. I couldnt have been happier.

Amazing home away from home!
Our stay at Casa Sandra was absolutely amazing! The house and view was even better in person! Maria was so helpful and prompt with any questions or requests we had and was a huge help in booking excursions and transportation for us. We loved relaxing in the hammocks or the hanging chairs on the upper balcony after morning adventures and watching the sloths, macaws, monkeys, iguanas, and even a toucan! The house is super convenient to the supermarket, several restaurants, and the local bus stop for the bus that runs to Quepos and the Manuel Antonio National Park and beaches. We did not have a rental car but we had no problem walking or taking the bus or taxis to everywhere we wanted to go.
This was our second trip to Costa Rica but our first visit to Manuel Antonio. We can’t wait to return and would love to stay at Casa Sandra again!

Beautiful!
The home is lovely and located near a bunch of restaurants and activities. The owner and property managers were extremely helpful and prompt on replying. The first day we were greeted by a couple of white face monkeys and saw many birds and critters in the trees off the balconies.
Great place to stay!

Memorable Experience
Everything from the initial inquiry to the final farewell was an excellent experience! The property was beautiful and perfect for our needs with 4 adults and 2 teenagers. María Fernanda and Thomas our concierge staff took care of every detail and changes needed. We’ve been to Manuel Antonio many times and this was the best visit yet. The property location is central to all the activities we planned and very well equipped for meal prep at home. The patio furniture and hammocks on 2 levels provided everyone some Personal space and relaxation, along with watching for the resident macaws and monkey visitors. We would highly recommend a stay at Casa Sandra!

Another CR adventure!
Maria was very helpful and prompt with communications. The in-home info packet about the area provided by Maria helped plan several activities and Restaurants visits. Maria also scheduled our in-home COVID test for return to US. This home lived up to the VRBO listing, and more! Comfortable and convenient. We would definitely stay in this home when we visit CR again. Hopefully soon.

Perfect location, amazing property
We had an amazing stay at Casa Sandra. My entire family enjoyed it even though we have very diverse interests and desires. I loved sitting on the upstairs balcony looking at the view and the wildlife. There was even a sloth in the neighboring tree! The kids loved the pool and the monkeys, who didn't visit every day but came in force more than once. The house felt very spacious even though it isn't that large. It was extremely clean. Maria Fernanda was extremely helpful and available for us. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Location
First, Fernanda was fantastic. She helped me booked my tours, ordered is taxis, and told us the beat places to eat. The house was great. It almost felt like we were in a magical tree house but for some reason, we didn't have many bugs. The Top floor was the Master and wade pool. We had a great view, and my kids loved the monkeys that would wake us up and sit around the soaking pool early in the morning. The middle floor is the living area and we enjoyed the hammocks in the evenings while we listened to the wildlife and watched lightning storms. The downstairs bedroom has a king and a day bed. With a 11 yr old boy and 14 yr girl old there was an issue over who got the bigger bed because sleeping with each other is madness. 🙄The better tourist shops and restaurants are within 5-10 minutes of a walk from the house. We loved Cafe Milagro and Aqua Azul. There is also a great little place right around corner that has a great, simple and cheap breakfast too. Its by the cheap pizza place. You can catch a quick bus or a taxi to the beach or manuel Antonio park easily. (Donde Alex was another good place to eat right outside the park) Im glad this place wasn't around there. It felt very touristy. It was the perfect spot and I would definitely stay here again.

Unbelievable property!
Everything was amazing at Casa Sandra! The check in process was smooth, the house was even better than the pictures and description, Maria the concierge was incredibly helpful, and the location was perfect. And for extra credit we had monkeys on one of the three balconies within 1 hr of arriving… 😀

Amazing
Everything was amazing. The communication from the start of booking until the day we left. Donna was great! Maria was exceptional! She helped me with getting a cake and balloons for my fiancé for his birthday. The best cake I’ve had in a while, she was super nice, sweet, and communicative the entire trip. If we needed anything or wanted to schedule anything she handled for us with no problem. The house was amazing the pictures don’t do it justice! I saw monkeys, a sloth, toucans, and scarlet macaws from the top balcony. The location was great, the neighborhood is safe. Overall it was amazing and whenever I go back. I will definitely stay here again.
