We love coming to mammoth door a family get a way. The property was fun for the three of us. The pictures make it look larger than it is. The kitchen is very small and has enough room for one person. There isn’t much storage/panty for your food. We ended up purchasing our own body soap, cleaning spray and sponges.
It was nice but expensive for what we got.

Brought a group of family and friends. Perfect layout, easy access, and comfort of home during the stay.

Look, its great being close to the mountain but there is no upstairs heater and the place needs a major updates. Its kind of old and dirty with stuff just like piled every where. New hot water heater worked great. I would rather pay a little more to stay somewhere updated and nice. Our friends stayed in the same building in an updated unit and wow, what a difference. Management was very nice and responsive. The internet is BARELY high speed (neighbors worked fine, they gave us their code). The oven is 20 years old with broken buttons and stains. This is just a place not taken care of very well or been updated in many years......but its a 2 minute walk to the lift.

Great unit close to canyon. 2 bedrooms + loft with double bunks and a pull out couch. Fit my sister and my family comfortably. Also has a nice mudroom which was great for loading and unloading cars. Have stayed places where unloading/loading is a drag bc of stairs or distance to parking. It’s close to canyon so like most units it won’t be as spacious as a snowcreek type condo but for what you give up in space you gain in convenience to the slopes. So easy for a spouse and some kids to go back to the condo to take a break without having to all go back in a car in say a snowcreek unit. Staying here again in April!

Great place. Only downside it has very few cups and mugs so had to hand wash dishwater daily

This condo was perfect for us! We were two families with kids so set up was great for us with bathrooms for each couple and a kids one as well. The beds were comfortable and the amenities were a nice treat.

Super close to canyon lodge, but it was hard to find since it was on a hill behind another condo complex

Reviewer Comments:
The location was good, kitchen supplies were ample, king mattress’s very comfortable. I was disappointed to see the window that a previous review mentioned had not been fixed. It was very hot when we went and couldn’t even open it to get a breeze. In the same bedroom, the TV never worked for us and the tabletop fan turned on but wouldn’t stay upright. One other fan had dust all over it, blew balls of lint balls everywhere. I would recommend to stay there winter months but not summer if you want.

Overall the stay was good. It would have been nice if you had provided basic toiletry supplies, such as toilet paper, shampoo, etc. Also, the drier was not working.

Everything was good. Place is super tight if you have more people. Ski storage area was a plus. Just do not lose the spa key, it is a $250 charge which is really steep for a key. All in all nice place.

Fantastic location, very short walk to canyon lodge. The condo was clean, spacious and had some fun games available as well. Jacuzzi is right outside, and the host was responsive. I will definitely book this stay again.

liked the location and access to amenities. Canyon lift was walking distance, hot tub and game room just down in the lower level were also close. Overall, great place and great time had by all.

This property wasn't what I expected for the price. I found the place smaller than how the pictures show. The place needs updating. No soaps or shampoo provided in the bathrooms as indicated. Location is the best part, walkable to Canyon Lodge.

Forcing you to download a 3rd party app for communication and then not responding when issues arise. Lame

While the location was good, this unit was not as promised and multiple things did not work during our stay (e.g. front door lock and dryer was broken which we discovered only after starting a load of laundry). The property management company was nasty and unprofessional when we communicated our concerns and requests for things to be fixed. They're repair person entered the unit multiple times when we were not present without giving us notice despite our explicit requests that they contact us ahead of time to let us know when they would be there. The repair man startled our dog who was alone at the time and had an accident in the unit as a result. We fully cleaned it up (in fact, I personally spent the evening scrubbing the rug, which ended up looking better than it did before we arrived) but we still received several rude communications from the property manager about it and a good portion of our deposit was taken with no explanation (this was on top of the already high cleaning fee and pet fee that we paid). We caused zero damage to the unit (we have the videos to prove it), but still had a substantial portion of our deposit taken by this company. We would NEVER stay here again and would NEVER recommend that anyone book this unit unless you enjoy a run-down and broken unit, rude and defensive behavior by the management company, invasion of your privacy, and having your money essentially stolen.

This location is ideal and the layout of the condo was excellent. There was ample parking and the complex was nice overall with multiple amenities. The condo easily and comfortably fit our two families (4 adults and 3 children ages 10-12). Unfortunately, the condo needed multiple repairs during our stay and some key items were never repaired. There were 3 loose floorboards (on stairs) that required repair after we checked in. We asked that these be repaired immediately as they were safety hazards when going up and down the stairs. Maintenance fixed these within a day which we appreciated. Two of the windows could not open and one, after maintenance opened it, would not stay open. This was an issue because the condo did not have air conditioning and rooms were very stuffy at arrival and ongoing. Maintenance was responsive and did what they could with what they had but could not secure the parts to keep the window opened, so that was never fully repaired while we were there. We had to prop one of the bedroom windows open with a paintbrush during the 5 days we were in the condo. Additionally, the condo dryer never heated and was never fixed. That was a big problem for two families of 7. The wifi passcode and the router number were incorrect at check in which took considerable time to troubleshoot and rectify. Luckily maintenance came out and clarified the information for us on the day we checked in. There were other issues as well (door was broken to microwave, one bed frame broken, gum on carpet in one of the kids' rooms, etc.). Maintenance fixed the microwave on day 2 but never addressed the gum. I travel regularly, both domestically and internationally, for both leisure and work, and this was the most unpleasant lodging experience I have had in many years. I took considerable time away from my vacation emailing about maintenance items, some of which were not addressed. Even though we were able to make the best of it, I cannot recommend this property. The condo has so much potential but did not meet expectations.

Everything and MORE!
I'm not one to read product reviews, but when it comes to properties, I've found them wise to read for preparedness. I'm a little shocked because I've seen more than a few complaints on this property, and either the complainants were DEAD WRONG or management has entirely fixed all claimed complaints. The property is as described, conveniently located at base of Canyon Lodge with just a three minute walk through parking lot. Unit is conveniently located just a few steps from property hot tub which was an absolute pleasure after a long day of skiing! With 4 beds in loft area for the kids to sleep overlooking the main floor, we had plenty of room to sprawl out. Other two bedrooms located downstairs from entrance were en suite, making this 3 bedroom have the glorious amenity of 3 bathrooms! In the master suite bathroom is even a washer and dryer for added convenience! All beds had extremely comfortable mattresses and bedding, I'd go as far as to note they may even have invested in memory foam! Was an absolute delight to stay here and will DEFINITELY book again! We traveled without our pets this time, but seeing as how this property allows it, they'll be making the journey for our next trip up here. Very impressed with the decor of a rustic yet modern take, it truly was an impressive townhome. In the kitchen we had everything we needed, including not one, but TWO coffee machines. An old fashioned style pot and even found a Keurig nestled in the cupboards for those of us that like a cup of coffee instantly brewed to perfection! Thanks for hosting our family and can't wait to book with you again!

Good property, bad property managers
The property is great. Beside some electrical weirdness, it is all as advertised. Confortable, clean, plenty of dishes, closed to the slopes...
My problem was with the property owners. We had 2 confirmed Covid cases in our party that were coming to Mammoth. We had the PCR test to prove it. The property managers didn't want us to cancel or even modify anything from the original trip. We were looking to either cancel, or traveling without the 2 person infected but a day latter to respect the "covid contact isolation dates". The property managers didn't want to re-imburse any kind of money or do any alteration to our trip. And after we sent them the VRBO policies about covid procedures they just stop replying to us all together.
I really hope that VRBO will enforce their policies against this property managers. Forcing people that are sick and that can transmit COVID to travel to your property or forcing them to loose their money, is not only ethically wrong, it is also against VRBO rules. We ended up paying for 2 days that we didn't use, and that property is not cheap!

Chamonix #91 is a weekly rental so we did not expect it to be perfect, however, it was inconvenient to have several things that did not work. The light in the living room did not work. The clothes dryer did not work. The can opener did not work. The clock on the wall did not work. The toilet paper holders were ripped off the walls in all bathrooms. There is no remote control for the TV in the guest bedroom. The wires going to that TV were dangling and need to be secured before they get ripped off.The instructions for checking in and entry were very good. When the pilot light went out on the fireplace we followed the online instructions step by step, only to find out the instructions were for a different make or model fireplace. There was no "Pilot" setting on the burner knob and there was no "RED" button to press to ignite the pilot. Tim responded in a reasonable time and repaired the problem with a battery he had with him.

Great location, not only to Canyon Lodge, but to the hot tub. So convenient having 3 bathrooms for our 3 groups. Lots of dining table space.
Kitchen is a little small, but the countertop with stools opens it up & helps.

Ski getaway for the family/friends
Great weekend with family & friends! Close enough to walk to the slopes. And the SPA is 10 steps from your doorstep :) Love having a mudroom to put all the gear.

Great Location
Great location, we enjoyed it. Fairly spacious - great for hanging out, beds were comfortable. Overall would stay again but with older children.
Constructive criticism: Sliding closet doors were broken and mud room smelled a little like cat. Quite a bit of exposed cabling which was a little concerning for our young ones. Reliable stair gates would make this place a little more family friendly for those with young children.

Good place overall
My family and I really enjoyed the place and location. Very cozy, but with enough room for 10 comfortably. Short walk from the pool and clubhouse in the complex. Really liked the ease of check-in and check-out with the use of door pass codes, rather than having to go pick up a key. Nice location, close to Village and short drive to Main Lodge. Only complaint is that the floors could have been cleaner. My kids walking around with bare feet had black bottom feet after a few minutes. The rest of us kept our flip flops on! But very nice place helped make for a great weekend trip.

Seen better days
We had a great time in spite of the place being mediocre. The condo is in a great location, but it’s run down, is in desperate need of a good scrubbing and needs to be painted. The pictures are also deceptive because it looks much bigger than it is in actuality and in my opinion cannot fit as many people as advertised. We had a broken window, which was fixed by a pvc pipe, and a bat that visited us nightly from the rafters. On vacation, and when I’m paying a lot of money per night, I believe it’s a small gesture to ensure there’s enough toilet paper and shampoo/conditioner for guests. We love mammoth but we would not stay at this location again.

Close to Canyon Lodge, comfy beds
Overall great experience but your cleaning crew needs to do better. The showers and baths had yellow stuff on the ceilings and there was mold around the edge of the tub. Also the lighting fixture in the living room was extremely dusty. Bedding and towels were nice. Loved the mud room to keep all the ski equipment and boots etc. can’t beat the location. Limited storage in the kitchen.

More expensive than what it’s worth
Paid basically 1k per night for 3 nights for this place. The other reviewers are right - the place is smaller than it looks in the pictures. Note the kitchen is especially small. Although the place is listed as “modern” it’s actually an old condo decorated with some modern furniture. During our stay, the power went out in the upstairs bathroom and the loft. We used the breaker to try and turn it back on ourselves but it was a bigger problem. Someone came to fix it much later but ultimately thought it was too much of an inconvenience to fix while our family was there. We went on without the bathroom lights and the lights upstairs during the second and third night. We also had another car park in the spot at one point and when we called Ready 4 Rentals, they told us to call the complex as there was nothing they could do they said. That pretty much sums it up. They can’t do much if you are having issues when you stay here. Overall, it was a cool place but it is not worth the money it costs just because it’s smaller and older than it appears and the service, while nice, is not that helpful. After staying here, I can stay that the other not so good reviews speak truth. Thanks anyways!
1.0 / 5.0
The photos of this place make it look amazing, BUT condo is NOT NEARLY as big and bright as depicted online. The most disappointing part was when we arrived on Monday, we found out that the electricity in the upstairs bathroom and loft was out. My husband flipped the breakers and still nothing. We called and let the owners know and a maintenance guy was sent within an hour or two. He said the problem was a GFI outlet and it needed to be replaced in order to get electricity. He did not have one and at 5:10pm the hardware store had already closed. He told us he would be back the next day to fix it. Following day we went skiing and came back to still NO electricity upstairs. The following day we went skiing again, and thankfully came back to lights in the bathroom and the upstairs room. I have emailed the owners through VRBO and the other Hospitality app they asked me to use. I asked for a partial refund, and they have not responded. We paid $2600 for three nights (completely outrageous for this place), and had no electricity for two of those three nights upstairs. (No lights in upstairs bathroom, no lights in loft, no TV or gaming system in the loft) Kids had to come downstairs to shower and use the restroom, and they were super bummed that they couldn't hang out and play upstairs with the gaming equipment and TV. I have always had a great experience with where I've stayed from VRBO. This place was unfortunately my first bad experience. I'm an accommodating and understanding person, but charging that much and not having 1/3 bathrooms and sleeping areas working properly isn't acceptable, especially for two of the three nights we stayed. The owners should reimburse us for some of the fees we paid. Also, the condo needs a little work. We noticed water damage on the floors and walls in the closets and the baseboards in the bathroom downstairs. There was what looked like dried salsa on one of the barstools. One of the downstairs showers is small and the shower head is really big. You have to almost touch the wall in front of you to get under the shower head. The sound of the heaters turning on during the night kept us up in the downstairs rooms. Overall it's not THAT bad if you don't pay much for this place. But for what we paid, we should have had a MUCH BETTER experience. Sadly, I wouldn't go back.
