The landlord is exceptional.
Mike was exceptional at being available with answers for any questions we had. The place was perfectly set up with everything we needed, especially for a longer stay. Lots of space. Basically, an extra room with an extra bed (or office) in the middle of the home. Don’t be surprised; there is no dishwasher. It’s ok though, you eat out a lot, and there are great restaurants nearby. It was in a historic building and in a safe community. Wooden floors, quiet location, and the King size bed was SO comfortable. There are TV’s in living room and bedroom. Laundry! You can do 4 loads at one time. Mike has a wealth of knowledge for people just passing through, or staying for a while. We feel gratefull to have found this property. 👍❤️ We HAVE rented from him again.

Great place to stay
We have stayed in Mike's apartment before and it is ideal for us. The apartment has more than enough room, has a nicely equipped kitchen, and has a king bed. The washer and dryer is a necessity for us as we Travel light. It is also very convenient for us to go to the Missouri Botanical Garden. We also went to Forest Park and to Tower Grove Park, which is within walking distance. We hope to be able to stay there again.

Great location!!!
The property and location was exactly what we were looking for. The owner sent us all the info we needed before we arrived at the property. We didn’t need to contact the owner because all of our questions were answered in the manual provided. Perfect size for our family of 5! Thank you for your hospitality!

Great stay
The environment was cozy, like walking into you own home. It served well for our family to have a place to land after a long day of exploring St. Louis. The accommodations we’re also beautiful architecturally to look at. In all the experience was wonderful, exciting, and comfortable.

Nice neighborhood 👍
The location was great for all places we visited. We took a long walk to Forest Park on the evening and never felt the area was not secure. AC worked fine. We never had to lower the temperature from 73 to 70. The sleeping sofas were comfortable with the added mattress. The king size bed was comfortable and so the pillows. Overall we were very comfortable.

Trip to St. Louis
We really enjoyed our girls trip to St. Louis and staying at this property. It’s a short Uber to all the major attractions. The apartment looks just as listed and there was plenty of room!

Great places, great price
The place was awesome. I brought a youth group of 13 and rented all four apartments in this building. Each apartment was clean, had awesomely comfortable beds, and a whole lot of room. Mike was easily accessible for anything we needed. If you're in St. Louis and need a place to stay this is a great option. Great neighborhood, close to everything.

Weekend get away
My family of five (three of which are teenagers) stayed here for a long weekend. Check in and out was easy. Directions were clear. The home was clean and had plenty of room for all of us to find a place to relax. The location was great for what we did (baseball game, arch, Basilica, Grant’s farm, Lone Elk Park and bird sanctuary, Fitz’s, and Ted Drewes). We don’t mind driving a little to get to different places. I highly suggest checking out the Lone Elk park if you like the outdoors. I would definitely recommend this location to families.

Decent Apartment for the Price
We are a family of five and stayed in the apartment for three nights. Overall it suited our purposes and the price was good with reasonable cleaning fees. It comes stocked with a roll of toilet paper, paper towels, and some small soaps and shampoos to get you started. If you're staying more than a day or two you'll need to supplement with your own supplies.
The master bedroom was nice with an extremely comfortable bed. All three nights we slept wonderfully. The booklet mentions a few tips regarding keeping the place comfortable from an HVAC standpoint - we had no problems in this respect. Days were hot and the apt was cool.
Kitchen counter space is minimal, so if you plan on cooking much more than spaghetti and sauce, you're going to run out of places to put things. Again, it suited our purposes for throwing together a few simple meals.
The couches are showing their age as there is a piece of plywood placed in one to keep you from sinking into it. This same couch has a pull-out bed that we felt was a stretch to call suitable even for kids. The love seat in the other room next to the kitchen also was a pull-out, and in slightly better shape so we ended up putting two of our kids on that one.
There are several washers and dryers available in the basement which is always a nice benefit when on an extended trip. We ended up using a dryer once, but not the washer. I assume you'd have to provide your own detergent as I don't recall seeing any sitting around.
We thought the apartment was overall pretty good for the price. There were a few goldfish under one of the couches when we pulled out the sleeper and the blinds could use a dusting., so cleaning could be a touch more thorough. And as already mentioned, the couches seem to be approaching the end of their lives, particularly when it comes to the beds.
We recommend staying here given the convenient location, particularly so if you don't need any additional bed space beyond the master.

Nice place to stay
The house & location for our vacation with our grandkids. It was close to The Magic House, Science Center, and zoo. The kitchen was small, but we made it fine. Great place to stay.

Don’t pass this place up!
I was sold on the location, size of property, and price. The apartment is sandwiched between Tower Grove park and the Botanical Gardens-walking distance to both. We loved walking over to Tower Grove park each morning, especially on Saturday for the Farmer’s Market. There are also a few shops and donut place around the corner (walking distance as well).
The apartment itself was sparkling clean when we arrived. Check in was easy as 1-2-3. I personally love written out instructions and Mike provides a detailed binder of just that-explaining everything you could possibly want to know about the apartment and surrounding neighborhood. Very helpful!
His description of the place is 100% accurate. I was particularly looking for a place that is kid friendly and this place definitely was! I didn’t recognize any furniture that my son could cut his head on, and mike even provides a few toys and books. What a thoughtful touch!
I stayed with my husband and child and there was plenty of room for us in this apartment. I could even see a family of 4 being very comfortable.
This place is a steal, don’t pass it up!

Authentic St. Louis Experience!
We are a family of 5 and have never stayed in a VRBO.
We were looking for something safe, clean, reasonably priced and in a great location with an authentic feel of St Louis. This has it all.
St. Louis buildings are classically vintage and that’s exactly what we were looking for. Mike has done an excellent job caring for and updating this early 1900’s apartment building to accommodate modern needs. The WiFi and hot water kept up with all 5 of us. The ease and availability of free parking was a definite plus.!
The neighborhood was one of my favorite things about this VRBO it is unique, quaint, quiet, diverse and friendly. Close to a beautiful park and everything St Louis! The insider tips that Mike leaves are invaluable to experience the best of St. Louis. Thank you for being a part of our family vacation!
