About this villa rental
Welcome to Casa Reel In. This 4 Bedroom Villa with Ocean Views, large swimming pool is ideally suited for large families or 4 to 5 couples, as it can accommodate up to 8 to 10 people. The Villa provides a personal concierge, to assist you with booking the best excursions, at the best rates; organizing transportation, as well as other arrangements, so you can focus on enjoying your vacation to Costa Rica.
Private parking for 1 vehicle. If you bring more than 1 car, there is parking outside of the house. The neighborhood is a friendly vacation rental community.
Located at the top of Manuel Antonio, 1,000 feet above the beach, and the maddening crowd, of course, provides beautiful Ocean Views. But that's not the only advantage of being at a 1,000 feet. Every day that the sun shines, it creates a predictable "on shore breeze". As the air heats up, it rises, creating a vacuum, which sucks the cooler ocean air onshore. Sitting out on one of the 3 private patios, adjoining the various bedrooms, is a wonderful vantage point to view the ocean, while enjoying the cool, refreshing sea breezes. The sunsets are often spectacular, as the evening sun seems to sink into the ocean.
ACCESS TO 2 LUXURY YACHTS
Live the lifestyle of the "Rich & Famous," with many amenities, to enhance your vacation experience. In addition to the usual swimming pool and ocean views, this Villa offers access, at special discounted rates, to our two private, air conditioned, Luxury Yachts, complete with Captain and crew.
Imagine being able to simply inform the Villa's concierge that you and your friends would like to take a little private cruise, aboard a Luxury Yacht, down the scenic coast, to a beautiful Jungle Bay, where over cocktails, or wine, you marvel at one of the spectacular Sunsets. Watching the sun as it appears to sink into the ocean, after filling the horizon with gorgeous hues of pink and red, is a wonderful way to end a day in "Paradise".
And, if you'd like to experience the thrill of "Reeling in" a really big fish, the owner's Luxury Yachts provide First Class Luxury Sport Fishing, with their other company, "Reel In" Luxury Sport Fishing. Please advise your Concierge of your desire to fish, as their's is the number one company in Quepos, and the boats are usually booked, sometimes way in advance.
Our guests receive top priority, at special rates, but we can't guarantee space, so don't forget to book early.
The home's architecture is interesting and affords up to 4 couples with an usual degree of privacy. The two buildings are connected by a bridge, making access from any the bedrooms to the living room and dining room, quick and easy. Just ask the troops of monkeys, which regularly visit the house. They can often be viewed right from your bedroom, as they leisurely stroll across your veranda, onto the bridge to the main house, and then back into the jungle.
The Villa is ideally located just 2 blocks from one of the best Super Markets in the entire Quepos, Manuel Antonio community. They carry many imported items, not typically found in local Costa Rican grocery stores.
If you don't want to take your car to the beach, and waste a lot of time searching for a rare parking place, the local bus is just one block from the Villa, and the short, 2 mile ride to the beach is still just 50 cents.

The house size and wildlife in backyard tree are its best features. No extras—not even salt and pepper in the kitchen. Dirty — shower drain filled with previous tenants hair. No pillows with clean cases; just shams. Safety hazards like total slippery tile floors and no handrails. Steep parking. Will end on good note of nice swimming pool.

Pros: Location is great. 1/2 a block from Vista Verde Restaurant which is great. And, Soda Angel, mercados are that close as well. Short walking distance to Oceano, Victorias, Cafe Milagro, etc. On the bus line so easy to get around, but we had a car so only took the bus once down to the beach. It was more economical to drive since there were 8 of us. Parking was fine - we had a (12) passenger van and were able to get in/out, but it would be challenging if you happen to be a bad driver. Should be no problem if you have a regular car. Pool was great and we used it every day. Kitchen had all utensils needed. Cleaning was every other day and they did a great job. The host is responsive i.e. within seconds of sending a message through the site. a small troup of white face monkeys invaded us our final day which was fun. We saw them a couple of other days earlier in the week, but the final day, they came on site and we were entertained for about 20 minutes! We also saw some macaws a few times.
Cons: Place is worn and outdated. The two women in our group were not very happy, but have high expectations. Given the price, the guys were plenty happy!
Final thoughts - if you are on a budget and not too picky, this place is for you! Location, although not near the beach is extremely walk-able and there is plenty of room for a group of 8-10+. If you are on your honey moon or having a couples retreat, this may not be the place for you!

Interesting house:
PROS:
• location, monkeys, pool.
• Trimaran was a nice outing.
• Great day of fishing on the Bertram.
CONS:
• Not at all inviting – dangerous parking, greeter did not speak English, she did not know how to work the TVs, there were no coffee filters, no coffee, no paper towels in the kitchen, no soap or shampoo in the bathrooms.
• The gym that is advertised was not available to guests.
• The piano pictured on the web was crap.
• The bathroom for main bedroom was through the living room.
• Steps, steps, and more steps. Dangerous step into the main bedroom.
I would not rent this property again.

Whilst there were no lies told, the pictures and description overstate the quality of this accommodation. The bedrooms were dark and generally underwhelming. The kitchen was very poorly equipped with hardly any saucepans/ no kettle etc. However, the location, near many restaurants was good but you need a car to get to the beach (which was very nice)

The house was beautiful and we loved the fact that each room has a bathroom! It was well located in town to walk to restaurants and convenient stores yet off the main street. Mandel also gave us great recommendations! He told us about a beach a little farther south that was gorgeous and we were practically the only ones on it!

The vilas is fabulous. We loved the space and privacy. We were 6 adults and one child and had so much room.
The pool was a used a great deal. So nice to have one to ourselves.
Comfortable beds with plenty of towels
The pool was cleaned every other day. The housekeeper did a wonderful job
Highly recommend
Toucans, capuchin monkeys every day. The monkeys were most entertaining.
Loved every minute of our stay

Nice property. Easily accommodated 5 adults and two teens. Ask about the host's family's cruise ship. It was great!

Suprising and very cool. The pool was a great feature. We saw a large troop of monkeys and the bird life was fantastic right from the patio. Manuel Antonio just a short drive away. We had a lot of fun.

We had a family group of 8 with our kids in their 20s and some with partners. This home worked out great with the pool to enjoy whenever not on an excursion to all the sites nearby. It is so close to stores and restaurants up on the hill with a good variety of cuisine and most with great views of the ocean. We always drove down to get to Quepos or Manuel Antonio because the road is steep and narrow. Buses run regularly though. The kitchen was easy to cook in and we also used the BBQ grill outside. Housekeeping and pool cleaner every other day kept things nice. Each room has its own theme and bathroom which was a big plus. The dining and living areas also roomy for 8 of us although the couch could use better cushions for relaxing. We had monkeys come by one day and tucans another day. An iguana likes to sit on the roof. A fun place for sure.

The property has lovely outdoor spaces for sitting and eating but the indoor spaces are less commodious and comfortable. Some of the beds could use a new mattress or at least a topper, and the living room furniture is not very comfortable.
The location for exploring Manuel Antonio and Quepas is excellent. The inexpensive public bus, located at the top of the road, is an inexpensive and efficient alternative to a car.

The place where memories are made! Amazing accommodations, wonderful pool. Mandel the host couldn't be more helpful. Pool cleaned daily, housekeeper every other day(who has been with the family for over 30 years). Housekeeper also helped us find a private chef to make sushi from the mahi mahi we caught! So good. We used Fishing boat recommended by Mandel our host. Beautiful views of sunset right from your own balcony--which there are 3 of. Hammocks so relaxing. Monkeys come to visit outside property daily, they live in Mango tree one door up. Smaller super markets and restaurants within walking distance. Recommend beach Espadilla near by. If I am able I will definitely return! Thank you Mandel for being such a great host. definitely appreciated the candles!

Great location and communication
This was a great location for our time in Manuel Antonio. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and grocery stores. Close to everything and a lot of space for a group of couples, or families with older kids. Manuel was super communicative and responsive - he helped resolve anything we needed right away. It was nice that the cleaning lady came every other day.
In terms of accommodations, this place would be great for adult groups or families with older kids. There are 4 suites 2 of which have 1 bed and 2 of which have 2. 1 is part of the main house and then there are three on 3 different levels. The main house rooms has 2 beds and the bottom suite has 2 beds. Suites are spacious and clean with their own bathrooms. Kitchen is great and the pool was a hit with everyone. Laundry is a bit time intensive as it is a more manual process but it worked for us and detergent was provided.
The space worked well for us, location was great, and the communication/attentiveness was exceptional. We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend.

OUTSTANDING
The property is exactly as shown. Our party of eight enjoyed every minute. The huge villa and the 4 private bedrooms made our stay. Being able to retreat to our separate rooms was much appreciated. The pool was large and warm. We spent many hours floating around. The inside of the villa is also very large. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. Nothing but praise for the villa and Mandel. His response to our few minor issues was immediate. Everything taken care of within hours. Highly recommend the villa

Great property for the money!
The location was nice. Very close to bus stop, grocery stores and restaurants. The house had everything we needed. You are well situated to excursions, a short bus ride to the beach and the national park. Marina, the housekeeper, was lovely and came every other day. Mandel, the house manager, was responsive and helpful. The pool was well maintained, though many pool tiles were falling off. The rooms and beds were adequate. The seating in the main living area was not very comfortable, so made it hard for us to gather here for long periods of time. We enjoyed seeing monkeys (periodically) and many birds during our visit at the property. Would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful gathering place for our large family
We had a weeklong family reunion in Manuel Antonio and this home accommodated 15 (several small children) of us with room to spare. The kids loved the pool and the adults loved the spaciousness and privacy. We were able to save a lot of money on meals by using the well equipped kitchen and bbq area. Mandel was easy to communicate with and checked in periodically during our stay. Marina was there about every other day to wash towels and change the bedding. Liquor stores, restaurants, panadería, and groceries are just short walk away. The National park, beaches, and Quepos are just a short drive. We will definitely stay here again if we ever do another reunion in M.A.

Love Manuel Antonio
There were 6 friends traveling from Arizona. We stayed 7 nights at Villa Reel In. The Villa was in a very good location. Very quiet neighborhood close to attractions and good restaurants. Local grocery store had everything we needed. Our host Mandel was exceptional. Very helpful arranged several tours for us all of witch were excellent. The Villa was in great condition with lots of room. The pool was very nice too. I would recommend Villa Reel In.

Great place
My family had a great stay! The pool was so amazing and we really liked the separate rooms. Saw all kinds of birds and monkeys climbing on the balcony in the mornings. Mandel was very responsive and responded within minutes to our questions. The house is within walking distance to a few stores and one of the main streets. We found taxis right away on the main street to take us to town.

Excellent views and a good place to stay
We enjoyed staying at this house. The facility was very nice on the inside. Plenty of space, very clean. Loved the views from the tower and patio. Very relaxing to watch the birds, and entertaining when the Monkeys would come through in the morning. The pool was in good shape and water was great. Management was very responsive and answered our many questions. And we felt very safe here too. I highly recommend staying here and we’ll consider it again if or probably when we come back again.

Top of the hill
When we arrived it was not clear that we were there, the outside is not impressive. However we were soon met by MNdel who gave us a thorough tour of the house. It was impressive and we had plenty of space to move around and we enjoyed the large warm water pool. The kitchen was well supplied and very large. The open verandas allowed for some impressive bird and monkey watching. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful home, great host
Nicely maintained home, plenty of space for four couples. Walking distance to several restaurants and mini-markets. Close to the beaches, park, and marina. Monkeys visited us every morning, around 7 am.

Wonderful House
This property was clean, close to supermarkets and a quick ride on the bus to the beach. The chef was excellent. Would definitely recommend for a great Costa Rican meal. Mandel answered all questions and was readily available when needed. We had a few mornings of visiting monkeys which was a nice surprise. Would definitely recommend this home for a stay in Costa Rica.

Family celebration with 10
This house fit our needs quite nicely. We were in Manuel Antonio during the rainy/off season. There were 9 of us, ages from 5 to 70, representing 4 families. Pros definitely outweighed cons. Each listed below.
Pros: House was exactly as pictured, large, great views, beds comfy, big kitchen (no dish washer if that bothers you), pool clean and big (not heated and tiles coming off), well located, washer and dryer that worked fine but lids were rusted through, and air conditioning in every room that worked fine. Mandel was very responsive and right there. He gave us suggestions for places to eat and shop. The house easily accommodated all of us. The grill worked nicely and was in a covered area so the rain was not a problem.
Cons: water pressure in the showers was minimal, especially in the penthouse. The kitchen was very prone to ants so had to refrigerate everything. Kitchen was not well stocked. It had enough dishes and some spices but no basics (salt/pepper, oil, sugar). This is a pet peeve of mine when traveling and may not bother anyone else.
We would recommend this house to others and would rent again. Thanks Mandel!

Amazing house with perfect location!
We had a wonderful stay in this house! Everything was great - the pool, the view, the rooms, the kitchen, the location. Supermarkets and restaurants just around the corner, and the local bus stopped and the end of the street, so we could easily reach Manuel Antonio NP and Quepos. Mandel was a great host and helped us with tour recommandations, transport etc. A perfect holiday spot!

Costa Rica style living
Our family loved this house & the location was great. We could walk to several restaurants & little markets. Mandel met us there on the first day and showed us around the house. There is a pool guy who came & cleaned the pool, and a maid who came, and we really appreciated this. Mandel gave us several locations for less crowded beaches, waterfalls & swimming holes, which were perfect for us. We loved watching the monkeys & birds every morning. We would love to stay here again.

House was perfect for us
The house was perfect for our 3 couples and a single. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, giving everyone privacy. The house is located very centrally in Manuel Antonio, close to the bus, restaurants and grocery. We enjoyed the pool every day during our stay, not to mention watching the monkeys and birds every morning while having coffee outside on the balconies. Mandel, the owner was super responsive to any concerns we had and handled any problem right away. He also arranged some transportation for us as well as a sunset cruise on his family's boat that was amazing! Thank you Mandel for making our stay so enjoyable!

Not as advertised
The house has an outside gate around the property that locks, but the house does not lock. The bedrooms are accessed from outside and do not lock. His description states he has a van for transportation to beach- he doesn’t. I asked about transportation and he stated he doesn’t have a van and it was a busy week so he couldn’t help find transportation. Luckily our tour guides were more accommodating. If someone is taking a shower on 3rd floor there is no hot water on first floor. There is no DVD player or dvds as advertised. The house next door has access to the house through a gym that doesn’t close or lock. Check out is 11:00 am but the pool guy came in the gate at 6:00 am with no warning then at 8:00 am the maid showed up so there were people in the house our entire last morning. Costa Rica is beautiful and I would return, but not to this house

Paradise in Manuel Antonio
We truly enjoyed our stay here! The house is beautiful and the location is ideal, walking distance to small grocery stores, and restaurants, and is a few minutes drive to Quepos and the beaches and park.
Mandel is a wonderful host! He was easy to contact and quickly responded to small issues. We also really enjoyed a catamaran and snorkeling tour on his family's boat Sunset Tours!
We agree with all the reviews written so far and highly recommend this house!

Excellent choice!
It is one of the most beautiful places at Manuel Antonio beach area to stay. All bedrooms are very comfortable and the kitchen and living room are full equipped. As well as the BBQ area and pool.
If you have the chance to stay in there don't hesitate you won't regret.

Spacious Home, Great Location, Awesome Views, Pool with Waterfall
We were a group of six, and the house accommodated all of us perfectly - 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and more people could have stayed comfortably. The main house has one bedroom/bathroom with a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining rooms, and good sized terrace. There is a bridgeway that connects the main house (leading out from the terrace) to the other 3 rooms, which is basically like another house - each room has its own floor and the two higher floors have a balcony, hammock and table and chairs each. The house is situated in a great area with lots of restaurants, bars, grocery stores, beaches and attractions nearby. We had SUVs, but you could stay here and not need a car. Mandel was a great host, extremely friendly and accommodating and he leaves a mobile phone on the property so you can use it to get in touch with him or for other local numbers. The house wi-fi worked great as well. The pool is awesome, it has a waterfall and jets and we got a lot of use out of it. There is a bbq and plenty of seating around the pool. Monkeys run around in the backyard, but they keep a good distance. There's a really cool beach called Playa Biesanz a short distance from the house. It is walkable but some may find it a more difficult walk and prefer to drive since there are windy and uphill/downhill sections. Another good beach nearby is Playa Espadilla. There is more to do here and it's a much larger beach than Biesanz - but both are worth checking out. I would not hesitate to stay here again if I'm back in the area. We kept saying the whole trip what a great house it was - it offered lots of privacy and we could not have asked for a better host or a better situated property. Oh and there is daily maid service to wash dishes, towels, etc., a pool guy to keep the pool clean, and you can hire a cook if you want, as well as massages for hire that come straight to the house - but all of us didn't notice until the end of our trip so we missed the massages. Highly recommend!
