Service was fantastic during our stay. Beautiful hotel with convenient location. What really stood out most was the accommodations available for my mother in law. The staff was really attentive. Thank you for the enjoyable stay. Definitely will return for our next stay.

We stayed at Hotel San Bada for two nights. You can't beat the location, it's literally next to Parque Manuel Antonio. The hotel itself was descent although the screen doors in both our rooms were jammed shut, so we were unable to access the patio. The pool area is nice and the bartenders friendly. The restaurant is pretty good and breakfast was included in the rate.

The property is rustic and well maintained, with huge rooms which are very comfortable, and elegantly organized on our arrival with a beautiful beach scene including a crab and flowers. The views to the ocean, plants and trees was magnificent. Water pressure in the rooms was excellent, as was the warn and cold water. It is at the park entrance, so you can see wildlife over the fence. We saw monkeys and enjoyed their early morning hooting rituals. Pleasant staff, and decent restaurants. Breakfast was fine, nothing elegant or particularly tasty. We enjoyed the local music one morning. There are many good dining options nearby if you need to try more out. WiFi never worked for us, so check if it's functional in your room in case you really need it.

Property is in a prime location. The view from the 5th floor facing the beach was breathtaking. The room was clean and staff on site was very attentive. Roof top restaurant/pool was great to bird watch and hang out. We saw a few monkeys, raccoons and Tucans. Would definitely come back again.

I originally searched Expidia for “Costa Rican scuba resorts “ San Bada is not a Scuba resort. I went to the closest town and found a dive shop. And what the staff in Dan Bada told me was true, The” diving here is not very good “proved correct. But I crossed “Diving the Pacific “off my bucket list. Which brings me to the thing about Costa Rica. It is well developed. The people are but every thing is not measured in hours not miles or klicks. San Bada is 3 hours from the airport.I did “Eco” Tourism. San Bada is just outside of Manuel Antonio national Park. Great experience. But if you want to go the Volcsmic hot springs,2 hours away. The jungle Zip lines , not to far 45 mins good scuba 6hrs away (like on the Carribean side of the country) the volcano’s 4 hours away. So you need to rent a car because transportation from the airport (3 hours away) is $180 (each way) the closest town is called (I think) Ocaso nice town and they a “Malicon”along the beach, festive weekends. And a farmers market.as well as a few clubs. But I have done that. To American females, you do not do “eco” tours in a Sundress and sandals.i explained that to my daughters when I took them to Tobago. I plan to go back to Costa Rica. But I will spend one week on the Atlantic side at a SCUBA resort and one week at San Bada.

What an amazing stay at Hotel San Banda! Closest hotel to Manuel Antonio park! We actually saw more animals at our hotel than IN the park! Staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The walk to the beach was easy! Will definitely stay again.

Hotel has the caliber and perfect location but it is a rundown with makeshifts things done in the room, older furniture, older overall outlook. It was definitely not worth the price paid almost $300 per night. Breakfast restaurant was super hot and humid. Breakfast buffet table lacked cleanliness. Pool and shower and beach access is good. I would not recommend friends or stay again there.

We booked this hotel for three nights but we stayed only two nights and moved out on third night Costa Verde Hotel. We had no hot water, no Wi-Fi, no TV since no internet, hair drier did not work, balcony door did not lock, rails on balcony were rusty, no game room as advertised, water in pool was cloudy, pool bar looked poor and needs some remodeling, pool loungers were torn, entrance to the pool smelled with sewer, breakfast and dinner at Congo restaurant were below average. We called front desk to fix room problems, but no one ever came.We also called to help us bring down our bags when we checked out but no one showed up. I think there was some language barrier, communication issues. The area around the hotel was full of merchants since it was right by the entrance to the Manuel Antonio Park. Not pretty. We would move out the second day but there was no availability at other hotels with higher rating.
