A fishing harbor that still has a working fishing company and the "fish shanties" have been preserved and converted into unique and quaint shops. More shops are in the little downtown district. Although a small town there are all the conveniences necessary. A grocery store that carries a little of everything, restaurants for every foodie, charter fishing, a ferry to the Manitou Islands or for a sunset cruse.
Sleeping Bear National Lake shore's popular sites are 15 miles to the south, the Grand Traverse Lighthouse is 25 Miles to the north. And of course Wineries, distilleries, and breweries, can be found anywhere in between. For the gambler---a casino. The golfer---beautiful golf courses. Hikers---we have that covered too. Leelanau County is just outside your door of this wonderful home.

Awesome. All enjoyed out stay!!

This beautiful and spotless home is down the street a from the beach one way, and town in the other direction. It has everything needed for grilling out or cooking in. Enough space for our teens to spread out in their own rooms, and the table tennis in the basement was a fantastic bonus. Will stay there again!

Our entire family enjoyed our stay at the Elliott house. Although the pictures are great, the house is even better in person. So roomy, yet cozy & warm at the same time. We loved the screened in porch for breakfast, card games, drinks in the afternoon & evening. This house is a short walk to anything you may be looking for. Any questions we had for the care taker were quickly answered. This house is thoughtfully & efficiently arranged. Highly recommend. A bit disappointed that the outdoor shower was not working but the master bath made up for it.

The location and layout of this house was absolutely perfect for our group, which included 8 and 10 year old children, my husband and me, and my parents. We loved being so close to the beach, and the house was incredibly clean with many small touches that made for a very comfortable stay.

We loved staying in this beautiful home.
Normally we rent on the water so being in town was new and very enjoyable.
The house was even better than the pictures and the description.
I messaged the owner twice and he got right back to me. Really nice.

We love staying at the Elliott house. Great location in relation to town and Lake Michigan. We’ll equipped home with plenty of space and clean! Our favorites in the area… Dune Bird Winery, Riverside for a nice dinner, Mad Cap for coffee and Farm Club for the best farm to table meal!

This was our fourth year staying in the Elliott House. This house is a fantastic rental property. It is very well stocked, has comfortable beds, many towels, and beach towels. The new gas grill this year was a welcome addition. We love the location and had a great time using the kayaks.

This was a great location. We had never stayed in Leland before and this was within walking distance of town and all the restaurants. The house was very clean and well stocked with towels and paper products. I will stay here again next year.

The house is very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. It is in a quiet neighborhood in Leland. It is a very short walk to the Lake Michigan beach and a short walk to the shops and sights of Leland. This is our second time there, and we hope to stay there again in the future.

We have stayed at this property in the past and truly enjoyed our stay both times. The location near Lake Michigan is great. The house is just the right size for our family of 5 and everything needed for our stay is available in the home. We hope to stay here again in the near future!

This was our second time staying at the Elliott House in November with our family of four. First off, November is a great time to visit. With the beautiful foliage and slower pace in the off-season, it was a wonderful break from busy life. The proximity to town and easy walk to the beach (with a perfect view at the end of the street!) make this place hard to beat. Our kids enjoyed riding bikes to town and browsing the shops. Covid and the season made the hours limited but still enough to keep us entertained. The house itself is very spacious (a much larger family or two families would be very comfortable in the space), clean and fully equipped with everything you would need. The beds and bedding very comfortable and the extra games and ping pong in the basement added to our family fun. The only minor suggestion would be for some additional furnishings like an ottoman in the family room as the wicker furniture is not super comfortable. That being said we definitely recommend The Elliott House!! Our favorite is the screened porch in the morning sun…despite the chilly temp we could still enjoy our coffee and a book in the morning. It is idyllic and we can’t wait to come back!

Great location and great property! Only very minor item we found is the ice machine latch in freezer was broken…but having the ice trays was a great alternative! Everything else was wonderful!

Overall our stay at Elliot House was a good experience. The house itself handled our family of 6 adults well. The kitchen could be better organized and a good usable large skillet needs to be added. Furniture could be more comfortable.
Location of the property is good and within walking distance to downtown Leland and the beach.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home last September so much that we returned this June. This time we had a few family members join us that hadn't come the first time, and throughout the visit everyone commented on what a wonderful home it is. We loved spending time on the screened in porch, having meals on the deck (and the convenience of having a shower there to clean off from the beach), and the older kids were delighted to have the ping pong table in the basement. The home has enough different areas that people can spread out nicely, but still feel together. This trip we especially enjoyed swimming at Nedow's Bay on Lake Leelanau (where the water was a bit warmer in early June) and playing some tennis at Hancock Field. Both are a relatively easy bike ride (or short drive) away. We also continued to enjoy the hikes in the numerous nature preserves that the Leelanau Conservancy has in the area (which there are guidebooks for in the house). Thanks again for another great stay, Linda and Toby.

We had a great stay this past October. The house is seconds from the beach and minutes to fishtown. Lots of room, great artwork and perfectly finished. We will definitely be returning!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elliott House! We loved that we were steps from the beach and just a short walk to town. The front porch and back deck allowed for soaking up the autumn sun at every hour of the day. The house is spacious and has nice perks, like a small garage for bikes and beach/yard toys and a ping pong table in the basement. We worked/schooled from home during the day, and explored the area in the afternoons and evenings. We had a great time!
