About this house rental
This custom built home (Leelanau Builders) is a five minute walk to North Beach, seven minutes to Fishtown and the Bluebird and Harbor house. Ride your bike or walk everywhere, including Nedows Beach. Rentals start and end on Saturday. From July to mid August we rent full weeks only.
We have a first floor Master Bedroom, Great Room with vaulted ceiling, ceiling fans in every room. All recessed LED lighting. Main living area on two levels air conditioned (you probably won't need it), Tiled mud room area, Plenty of hooks for hanging outdoor wear, modern kitchen space with side by side fridge, ice maker, microwave, gas range, dishwasher, gas fireplace, 55" Smart TV w/sound bar, custom concrete patio, hand made bourbon barrel fire pit, Webber charcoal grill. King size Master bed with MyPillow Topper. Upstairs bedrooms are twin and Queen beds with ample closeting throughout. Upstairs bath has shower over tub. All spaces in upstairs, stairway and Master bedroom are carpeted. Custom European Oak flooring in Great Room. Custom tile floors in bathrooms and entry hallway. Two car attached garage. Driveway is shared with 645 N. Main. There is also a separate stairway leading from inside garage to a 300 sq ft bedroom and bathroom built over the garage, which can accommodate three people plus portable crib or air bed . This space is NOT a separate rental unit and is the fourth bedroom. This bonus space is not air conditioned or heated, but in Summer, it should not matter as it has a large window and a ceiling fan. We are on Township sewer line. Our water is from our own well. Hot water is gas fired, 40 gallon tank. Heat is forced hot air. Central A/C in main house.

A well-appointed and well-located house. The key lockbox system was great, since we didn't need to keep track of who had the house keys! We very much enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful week at 629 N. Main St. The home is beautiful, well organized, and handy with basic supplies provided. It's a short walk into Fishtown and North Beach. It was a lovely stay.

Lovely and well maintained property close to town. Easy walk to beach, even with little kids. Backyard was perfect size for them and we loved the layout of the bedrooms, so that our families each had their own nooks/private spaces. Greg, the host, was very responsive for the 1 time we needed to text. We have already recommended this location to several friends in the area. Loved it and made our summer!

I think we must have ousted the owner to have some r&r. We came with cleaning supplies- we had to clean the refrigerator before using it- previous renter or perhaps the cleaning crew did not think to clean out the frig. Rest of place was clean and was perfect for our stay. Sept8-12

We had a great stay and really enjoyed the location, layout, cleanliness, and furnishings. I’d recommend as a great place to stay for a visit to Fishtown.

Ideal property for our visit...only issue was getting the family room TV working due to loss of firestick password from previous guest...Greg worked with us to fix. Parking not ideal but ok for 2 vehicles.

We enjoyed this property much! It had everything we needed. We loved using the fire pit outside and being able to walk to Fishtown for dinner and sunset watching. Would definitely come back.

This is a beautiful home within the perfect walking distance to Leland. The house perfectly accommodated our party of eight adult women (however, I recommend carpooling as the driveway is on the smaller side). I would not recommend this house for families with young children, as there is virtually no outdoor space to play.
With that said, the management of this house is not worth the asking price. If I had seen the owner's rules prior to booking, I would not have booked. They need a complete rewrite. I respect rules. This is your home, and I am merely a guest. However, the rules were condescending and included far too much personal commentary. Multiple times, they referenced losing my security deposit, including full paragraphs in all-caps. They even let me know there are "spies" in the neighborhood, on guard to report my behavior. This made for an extremely paranoid and uncomfortable stay on behalf of our entire party, with the blinds closed for the duration of our stay.
Additionally, the home was not cleaned properly prior to our arrival. Undoubtedly, we left the home cleaner than when we arrived because of the items we had to clean just to feel comfortable. Some examples include:
1. Dirty kitchen sponges
2. Dirty refrigerator & freezer
3. Ratty dish towels
4. Dirty dishes in dishwasher
5. Black, coarse hair in silverware drawer
6. Leaking Damprid bag in Master Closet
7. Disgusting bathroom fans
8. Outdoor patio that hadn't been swept/cleaned in quite some time
Furthermore, the owner's rules state that each bathroom will be stocked with two rolls of toilet paper, and the kitchen will be stocked with one roll of paper towel. Upon arrival, only 1.5 rolls of toilet paper were provided for all three bathrooms, and no paper towel was provided. When I called the owner, i was polity, acting confused instead of upset. I am an adult woman, and the owner had the audacity to ask me if I was sure, and if I had checked the cabinets. After a conversation that was far too long for a simple issue, the owner was gracious enough to provide access to his locked owner's cabinet for paper products. I did appreciate this level of blind trust.
It was my impression that the property owners live out of state, and there is very little oversight of the on-site management. Perhaps that is why there were so many unacceptable slips. However, when I return to Leland, I will select a different home.

It was all good.

This property is very well-suited for a larger group, with a bright and open central living room/kitchen, outdoor patio, four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Interior all seems new and is well-appointed. Leland is a five minute walk or 1 minute drive. Overall a great place.

Our family enjoyed our stay at this property which had everything we needed for our one week vacation. The house was clean and comfortable and the location was convenient.
Access to the attached garage was a bonus - we were able to store our bikes and beach gear when we weren't using them.
Hoping to return soon!
