The swimming pool was infested with worms the entire week. The owner did not want to pay to have the pool cleaned. They wanted me to clean it. The house was infested with roaches and ants!!!
This was the worst trip I've ever been on!!!

My husband and I booked a week here. The house is absolutely lovely, and of course the pool was a major draw. You do need to call in advance if you wish to have the pool heated. We did have an issue the first two days where the water wasn't heating and the customer service was excellent. Vacasa reps pick up the phone and resolve the issue swiftly.
We enjoyed using the grill in the evenings and sitting outside while eating.
The house is nicely furnished, and was very clean upon arrival. We would absolutely recommend staying here. We bought groceries to cook most meals and the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and cooking utensils.
The beach is 15 minutes drive away and there is a lovely ice cream parlor (Love Boat Ice Cream) less than a mile walk away. There is also a community theater (Fort Meyers Theater) about half a mile walk away, and we saw A Christmas Caol. Tickets were $35 each, a lovely date night idea or perfect to bring the whole family. Of course there is also Lovers Key State Park if you want the beach but also walking, biking paths. ($8 parking for the day).
Also if you're walkers like us, park your car at the beach park and ride BEFORE the bridge to Fort Meyers beach, walk over and avoid paying for beach parking.
We recommend Iguana Mia in Cape Coral (20 min drive away) if you enjoy Mexican food.
Fisherman's Village in Punta Gorda (1 hour away) is right near the water (not a beach) and has tourist shops to walk around and dine.

AC Issue
Property was nice but the AC went out and I called at 3pm EST and they said "someone would be there shortly". I didn't receive a phone call until 10:30pm EST and they tech show up at 11pm. The condenser needed to be replaced and that took some additional time. It wasn't a pleasant experience in the Florida Summer Heat

Lovely home and view!!!
My family enjoyed one of the best vacations here ay Heron’s Nest. The home was immaculately clean and nicely decorated. The light and bright rooms were so enjoyable as well as the view of the pool and lake. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, dishes and pots and pans.
Did I mention the view??? We thoroughly enjoyed the view from the pool and lake. We saw so many different birds including the heron’s nest in view.
We loved this place and will be back next year!!!

Xmas Stay-Cation
Spent five weeks and really liked location. Near great restaurants, liked birds and wild life in pond and was well appointed. Maintenance staff (Brian) was very cordial and helpful.

A relaxing stay in a beautiful home
We are a recently retired couple and we rented for 10 days with another couple. It was as lovely as the pictures show. We loved the screened area with the pool. Many mornings were spent drinking coffee, reading and relaxing there. Any time of day, we could watch different birds in and around the lake as well as fish jumping. We also enjoyed some beautiful night skies under the screened roof. Even though the home is located in a community with many close neighbors, it still felt private.
It was a short drive to the beach, but many days traffic was lined up bumper to bumper a mile or 2 from the beach. It's definitely a busy area. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is we paid extra to have the pool heated, but the heat was not working and they were not able to repair it while we were there. They did however refund what we had paid for the pool heat.
