It offers travelers a shared outdoor deck (with your own designated space), a gas grill for summer barbecues, and an ideal location within walking distance of town, the beach, and the ferry. This single-level studio sits in a quiet residential neighborhood, less than a mile from the Vineyard Haven Steamship Authority and the heart of downtown. Spend your days swimming at Owen Park and Tisbury Town Beaches one mile east, watch the sunset at the West Chop Lighthouse two miles north, and catch lively performances at the Martha's Vineyard Playhouse a half-mile walk from home. Built in 2017, the Mermaid Suite is a private suite located within a larger house. It is a wonderful escape for a couple or a solo traveler looking to experience the charms of Vineyard Haven. You'll have the comforts of central AC, free WiFi, and a flatscreen TV with cable and an included sports package - so you'll never miss a Red Sox game in the peak of summer. Brew fresh coffee each morning in the small kitchenette, which includes a mini-fridge, a sink, a microwave, and a few pots, pans, and utensils. You'll even have your own gas grill (with a side burner) and a shaded picnic table outside on the deck, which is shared with the main house but sectioned off to give you privacy. Come and experience the sunshine and leisure that Martha's Vineyard is known for - you'll find everything you need at this Vineyard Haven suite! *Please note that this suite is located in a larger house, and, while private and self-contained, does not include access to the rest of the home. Thank you! Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Stayed three nights, the Mermaid Suite had everything we needed. The kitchenette was fantastic for snacks and breakfast. The full size washer and dryer were great, they sealed the deal for us. The suite looked recently renovated. Everything was clean.
The only negative: The AC unit looked new and we had the temperature turned way down and the suite still got warm.

I enjoyed the space but it could have been a little cleaner. The shower curtain was mildewed, there was a stain on the fitted sheet, and the chair near the bed could have been cleaned better and there was no iron or board. The location was great and it was quit and peaceful!

I really enjoyed my stay but there were a few things that could have been cleaner. The shower curtain was mildewed and the chair next to the sliding doors could have been vacuumed better. There was a nice deck with grill and a beautiful vegetable garden in the back.

Very comfortable stay. Would have liked a phone number, though, since tablet said router on WiFi wasn’t not working, but didn’t come here to be on tablet. Bed was great, and neighborhood was quiet, but a nice walk to Main St. Was cool enough at night for open windows, but a/c worked quite well, but preferred the night time air.

This was the perfect highlight to our anniversary stay. The neighborhood was quiet. The view was spectacular. The interior of the house was very clean and organized. I will definitely be coming back to the island and this will be my place every time i go.
