In a safe, quiet neighborhood, a true Family beach house/Cabin. Very roomy.

The property is as described. There was plenty of room for two families. We had a small electric problem when we arrived and it was handled SO QUICKLY. The caretaker came and resolved so quickly. I think that is important to share because communications were very good.

Our annual guys week trip to the vineyard, we trailered Scoot scoots over and roamed the island for a week. House is plenty big and room to hang out especially on the upstairs deck checking out the skyline!

Very roomy house. Great for family visit.

The house has a super cool 70s vibe but needs some major TLC. Screen sliding doors were all broken and/or completely off the door frame, more than half of the deck chairs were broken and half of the mattresses were extremely worn and uncomfortable. The smell of mold/must is very prevalent which was difficult for my mother who has mold allergies. This house has so much potential! I feel bad leaving a less positive review but there are a number of very basic but big things that need attending to to make the stay comfortable.

Great location in between the town of Vineyard Haven and West Chop. Very bikable area in the middle of a quiet street. The house is large (a true four bedroom with a downstairs that has a mini-kitchenette) and a bit on the older side, but nice for a group of four. Would come back!

Thank you for allowing us to enjoy the area

The house is in the most perfect location! The host is great, you have everything you need there and plenty of room. This was our second year in a row and we will be back next year too. We’ve stayed at 4 houses so far and this one just sits in the middle of everything!

The stay was comfortable and spacious for a family of five. The location was close enough for us to take morning walks into town.
Looking forward to my next stay.

Very relaxing sitting on the deck enjoying drinks with Turkeys strolling by, yes Turkeys, who would have guessed. Lovely and quiet location exactly 1 mile to town. Has everything you need and nothing you don’t… I will stay here again if we venture back to the island.
3.0
Pros: 1. More than enough space for 5 people to move around comfortably
2. Location
3. Owner tried her best to fix door/key issue in a timely manner
4. Outdoor Shower
Cons: 1.Because there isn’t AC we constantly left the windows open (with screens) and every morning we woke up to a gazillion bugs that stayed and vacationed with us for the week.
2. There were no extra linen, towels, washcloths
3. We were unable to lock the door during our stay
4. No grill/ backyard furniture
5. I’m not sure if all the cobwebs are purposely left so that the spiders can kill all the bugs that are in the house, however the space could’ve used a deeper clean before our arrival.
6. Wifi was terrible during our stay and we could not “WFH” most days

This was our second year in the house. It was another good stay. We did have to buy extra towels (only five when we arrived). It was a “comfort house”, with adequate space. Air conditioning would have made it even more comfortable but there were enough fans.

For Martha's Vineyard, this property is great value for money. The kitchen and living room area are a good size and well equipped. Bedrooms are decent and beds fine. Kids loved the outdoor space including a balcony and an outdoor shower.

Our family has traveled to MV for summer vacations since our children were infants; every two years or so. We have always migrated to homes in the Vineyard Haven area because it has always been the most family friendly. This year was no exception. We found Erin’s house to be just what we needed to accommodate our now adult family. It was enjoyed by all: clean, well located, and (with a few exceptions) well outfitted.
Most significant, however, was the home owner, who was very communicative, helpful, and kind (even when we forgot to return the key upon exciting the home; doh!)
We highly recommend this property and this owner, and would definitely return in the future.

We had a lovely long stay at Erin's house. The place is pretty well set up for families with four bedrooms, a big washing machine and separate tumble dryer. The kitchen had everything we needed. We particularly loved the large open plan kitchen/dining/living room area, especially the 1970s vibe. Check-in was seamless and we had good communication from Erin. Thanks so much for sharing your house with us!
Points that could have been better in case Erin is looking to make improvements:
- downstairs was a bit damp although the de humidifier helped.
-it would have been nice to have window coverings for privacy in the bathroom and bedrooms (the curtains were sheer)
- air conditioning even in one of the rooms would be useful for hot days although the fans did clear out the hot air by the evening. Of course we knew we were renting a place without AC but this would be a welcome improvement
- the downstairs bed has a broken leg so it is tilted

Nice house, quiet location, friendly owner.

My family and I had a great time staying here. The house has ample space for us all to spread out, an outdoor shower, a large upper balcony to enjoy our morning coffee, and is just a quick walk into town. We were very comfortable the whole time!

Wonderful open floorplan on main floor(2 nd floor). Great windows and sliders to bond with nature. Nice deck for relaxing and causal dining. Simple / comfortable bedrooms. 1st level has sitting area for TV, a second kitchen and 2 of the 4 bedrooms.
Easy bike ride to town. The "kids" (20's) road bikes to the beach daily. Peaceful and relaxing. Just what we were looking for!!

Owner was extremely nice to work with and gave extra night at discount. House is dated. Musty, closed up smell when checking in downstairs and around and stayed throughout stay. Felt as if house had not been used much. Poor lighting throughout. No overhead lighting and had move lamps around. No upstairs vanity light in bathroom. No privacy curtains in bathrooms. Small fans are inadequate in 80 degree heat with no AC in house. Need ceiling fans at least. Door screen broken and flapping to deck. House has dark feeling interior that feel needs either be painted light colors or have more interior or ceiling lighting.House felt had not been used much due to musty smell throughtout or that caretaker not been in much. Recycle trash still in bin from seemingly prior renters

My family and friends enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for us because we meet others on the island each year. The owner was attentive and quickly answered all of my questions.

My family stayed in MV for 3 nights at the Morris House. We had a great time. Erin was very quick at communicating with me. THe house is located in a nice quiet neighborhood and is surrounded by trees which makes it feel private. It was very hot during our stay and there is no AC so that was a little difficult, but we made it work. Uber’s are affordable and available at all times. Beaches are about a 10-30 minutes drive(depending on which one you go to). We had a really nice time.

We had a wonderful time for our 4 night stay in Vineyard Haven/Oak Bluffs.
