There is a sand beach across the street which is private to the house. You can watch the sun rise AND set from this vantage point on the large covered front porch, making this a beautiful place to spend your vacation time.
The house has 5 bedrooms with a spare room that has a twin sleeper chair for additional sleeping space. In total the house sleeps 13 comfortably.
The house comes equipped with a canoe and several kayaks and a small sailboat and fishing poles. There is a gas grill on the back patio and plenty of comfortable seating on the front porch. Emerson Park is down the street (about 400 yards) where paddle boats and pontoon boats are available for rent. Emerson Park is also home of the Merry-go-Round theater where you can enjoy professional theater during the Summer and Fall months. Auburn, NY has a number of points of interest including the Seward House (home of William Seward), the Tubman House (home of Harriet Tubman), the Cayuga Museum, Fort Hill Cemetery, and The Agricultural Museum (5 minute walk). Auburn Public Theater has year round performances including live music, comedians, stage performances and films. Musical Theater at the Merry-go-Round theater at Emerson Park are also popular. We had a very lovely week at the Annex house.
Our weather was very good for all but two of the days when it was rainy. Our teenagers spent time on the dock and in the water. The water was very clear and warm and pleasant. Really not much of a beach at all at the house, however. it was a little disappointing, but we still managed to enjoy the area. It was great using the double kayak and the single kayak along with the lifejackets that were provided there. There were also several blowup rafts and a paddleboard that were very nice to use.
The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We also really enjoyed the view from the front porch of the lake. Living room was also very comfortable for movies in the evening. Lots of games and books at the house as well. Our host was very accessible and accommodating, and the house was well worth the money. Would recommend and stay here again!

My family and I had a great time staying on Owasco Lake. This house is very large and easily accomodated 7 adults and 2 kids. One of the bedrooms is located on the ground level which is great for someone who can't navigate stairs. You have to cross a somewhat busy street to get to the lake which was fine for the older kids (11 and 15) in our party. The lake itself has very clear water and was shallow for perhaps about a hundred feet (great for kids) before it became deeper. We explored the lake using the provided kayaks and the iSUPs we brought, and rented a pontoon boat from the nearby marina for a couple days to explore further areas of the lake.

The house is giant and we loved the front porch. The lake water is crystal clear and we really enjoyed our time in the water.

We had a great time at the house, kitchen was very well stocked. There was lots of extra towels and blankets. They had a great selection of games, puzzles and some toys. The only.cons was the beach was smaller than expected and was quite dirty, tthey dod have someone come clean it and rake it couple days later. There is no central.ac air conditioners are in windows thougb and they worked well but the filters were so dusty we had to clean them. Overall a great place for family to stay.

This was our third time staying at this beautiful property. The front porch is amazing. We had 10 family members staying here and everyone loves coming back to Owasco Lake.

Great for our group of "senior sibs" lots of comfortable space and a well stocked kitchen too.

We loved that the house was big enough for everyone to spread out, but also gave areas for gathering with everyone. We had ages 16 to 72 staying with us.

Wendy's home was the perfect gathering spot for a long weekend in the Finger Lakes Region. Our 8 adult, 1 toddler party had plenty of space in which to celebrate 2 birthdays and an anniversary very comfortably. Situated directly across the street from Lake Owasco, the views were majestic and relaxing. We were nearby to the local winery trails and the quaint downtown area of Skaneateles, which we took the opportunity to enjoy. The village of Owasco, where the home is located, is also a very pleasant area.
The home was replete with amenities such as laundry facilities, plenty of comfy seating, a gas fireplace and several bedrooms.
I highly recommend Wendy's home to anyone seeking a conveniently located, scenic retreat in the Finger Lakes Region. We all agreed that it was perfect!

The property was precisely as advertised and a more.
1500 chars is not enough!
Location - This property is on the north end of the lake located on the main road. Yes, you have to cross a somewhat busy road to reach the lake but you are on level ground the entire time. Some of the other properties we thought about renting are on the side of steep hills to simply get to the property much less the extra 40 stairs from the deck to a private dock. We are so glad we choose this property!
Size - This is a large house. There are 5 bedrooms as advertised and 3 bathrooms. The first floor bath must be accessed via the bedroom while 3 bedrooms upstairs share a common bathroom. The master suite upstairs is HUGE and has a lovely lake view. The master bath is a bit small but very serviceable. We fit 12 people around the dining room table for a dinner party and the living room had plenty of seating for everyone with room to spare. Kitchen A+!
Heating - We were in the area in March and of course it snowed and was cold. There are 2 gas fireplaces on the first floor which gave off sufficient heat to supplement the zoned heating. There are at least 3 zones in the house. The only "burp" is the location of one thermostat on the 2nd floor. It's a bit difficult to read. Everyone was comfortable, even the folks from Florida.
Cooling - With 8" of snow, we didn't need to use the portable air conditioners. There seemed to be plenty of AC units for a hot summer day.
Parking - Lots of parking.

Wendy, the property manager did all she could to make our stay a good one! And it was so much fun to visit the surrounding towns and villages! Thanks Wendy!

We had a wonderful stay at this location. The house offered plenty of space and bedrooms for our weekend of relaxation. The view of the lake was wonderful from the porch as well as the big picture windows. Wendy was a wonderful host. She answered our questions quickly. She left a card and a bottle of wine to welcome us. Definitely would stay again!

Perfect place for all of us to call home for a few days. We found everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Great location to visit museums and close to awesome restaurants. Very clean and well equipped. Responsive host. Couldn’t be better!

The house was clean with lots of room for all of our family. The view of the water was beautiful with a big porch and big windows to take it in. It was a convenient location to many local attractions. We will definitely be back!

This was our first time in this property, although we've stayed in others. We could not have been happier, and we will definitely stay here again. The house was very comfortable both in the public areas and bedrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials and in the fridge (one of two) there was a gift bottle of Reisling waiting for us. The directions for the property were clear, and Wendy was easy to reach. I would highly recommend this property.

Our son got married at Emerson Park so Wendy’s home was the perfect location, close to the venue with beautiful views of the lake. Lots of room inside and out.

The house is old and we expected it to be dated. Which it was including most of the furniture and beds. Our stay was over three weeks and there were simply too many issues that could have been resolved before we arrived and in our opinion simply did not meet ours, or our quests expectations

We all enjoyed being together in a spacious home, yet allowing for privacy for our large family with plenty of parking. The setting as great, with beautiful lake views from the big front porch and the lawn area was great for children to play in safely. We found the location to be close to parks, museums, places to eat, shopping, just to name a few. The owners responded immediately when we contacted them regarding an issue with bees.

This house was perfect for 10 people ranging from infant to grandparents. The location and access to the lake was great for swimming and kayaking (we used the kayaks provided) along with fishing as well. Auburn has a great area for kids including the splash pad in town. The whole family enjoyed Emerson Park for both the car show and food trucks and band. Travel to the Syracuse zoo and some local water falls were under 40 minutes and great attractions for all to enjoy. The house had everything we needed from linens, towels, pantry items, and games/puzzles. This was a great place to relax and enjoy the finger lakes. Wendy was a great host.

Great open-spaced living area, close to wineries! Beautiful town.

The house met all of our needs for 5 adults and 2 grandchildren. It was so convenient. Wegmans was just down the street. It was wonderful to walk to Emerson Park and disc golf. We had so much fun with the kayaks and paddle board. Tom Thumb ice cream and mini golf was a family favorite! The porch was heavenly and it was so special to sit and look at the lake everyday and see the rainbows. Wendy was a great host! She was always accessible via text, and even though they live next door, we had complete privacy. Communication was super. We would love to come back. The Berry’s

My siblings and I drove upstate NY for our niece's graduation. The house accomodated all of us and provided the perfect space for gathering. The lake across the street was a nice feature.

Our family drove from PA for our first lake house experience & the Annex didn’t disappoint. Spacious inside & out, beautiful views from the front porch or the cozy living room. Kitchen adequately equipped for stay in meals which we enjoyed taking turns making. The hosts really thought of everything! Play ground areas close by for those with littles & plenty do for all. Spent an afternoon by the fire pit & playing washer board on the lawn. The weather didn’t cooperate for a boating day but we had a fabulous time reconnecting & making memories. Looking forward booking again next year.

There were some housekeeping issues which were addressed personally with the manager following our stay. She reported back to us promptly that she had spoken to the cleaning company and offered apologies.
The house is spacious for a family gathering . The bedrooms were all comfortable. The front porch is very spacious to gather and enjoy the lake. Very pretty landscaping.

Perfect house for our family gathering
Wonderful location and accommodations. We especially loved the big front porch and front lawn where we spent a lot of time relaxing with a view of the lake. Were even able to pull our rented boat up to the dock.

2nd time staying
We had a fantastic time. There was plenty of room for everyone and never felt crowded. The porch is a favorite spot for us. The view can’t be beat. This was our second time staying here and will be back again.

We wanted to have a relaxing time away before our oldest starts medical school and this house and area fit the bill. The house was so clean passed the white sock test (socks remained clean walking around). The lake was beautiful and even though it was too chilly/rainy during our stay to do any water activities we did enjoy many games in front of the windows overlooking the water. We took in several local museums and even ventured into Syracuse to the zoo. Overall a great location and a lovely stay.

We had a wonderful time in the Finger Lakes region at this fantastic property. The house was spacious, and we enjoyed group meals, board gaming, and lake views from the front porch. We appreciated having use of the house's kayaks. There's a lovely public park just down the road; we also spent time at the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge and in Seneca Falls. We wouldn't hesitate to return!
